This is the second book in The Hawke Family Second Generation. I loved the first book in this series. I was so excited for this book though because we get to learn more about the elusive Jude. This story had me hooked from the start. This is not just a romance, it is the story of family, friendship, and love. It is overcoming your past and the obstacles thrown in your way. The characters in this story seem to take on a life of their own.

This is the third book in the Astoria Royals Series. I have not read the first 2 books so this book can totally be read as a stand alone. The emotion and the storytelling in this book were outstanding. I was drawn into this book and the characters’ stories. The way the past and the present collide for Priscilla and Riordan is perfect and heart wrenching. I believe I will need to go back and read the first 2 books just to stay in this world a little longer.

When We Fell Again is an angsty, second chance, contemporary romance that centers around the characters of Jordan and Alexis. Jordan is lead singer with the band Idol Rev. His band is due to go on a comeback tour but after an alcohol induced moment of stupidity Jordan has dislocated his shoulder. He insists that he is still able to tour if he has super strength painkillers to take the edge off his pain. Alexis is a tour manager that usually manages smaller tours. When she is asked to fill in for Idol Rev’s regular tour manager, she is reluctant because it means that she will be on tour with her ex, Jordan.
Jordan and Alexis were together while in university and when he was an up-and-coming rock star. It was being his girlfriend that gave her the love of live music and led her into a career in tour management. Her new career was also what broke Jordan and Alexis up when she started to spend long periods of time away from home. Jordan became jealous, accused her of horrible things, and it inevitably caused the two to break up. Naturally, Alexis is not keen on seeing Jordan again but when she does old feelings begin to stir and she cannot deny her attraction to him. Jordan has managed to avoid Alexis for five years and is not keen on seeing her again but feels that he can maintain a professional attitude. That is, until he sees Alexis and old feelings come to the surface. His attraction to her is undeniable and he vows to change his ways and be a better man so he can win her back. Can old hurt and bitterness be put aside so that Jordan and Alexis can have a chance at a future together? Will Jordan settle back into his old ways of anger and jealousy?
This was a well written story with an intriguing storyline. It was interesting to read and see how Jordan and Alexis would handle being on tour together. Their attraction to one another was undeniable but would it be enough. I had to keep reading to see if Jordan really could change his ways and be the man that Alexis deserved. It was interesting to see how Alexis would handle the situation and if she could forgive Jordan and accept that he truly wanted to change. Would Jordan break her heart again? This book was an angsty, passion-filled, second chance romance that took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

I enjoyed reading this second chance romance story. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed their writing style as well as their attention to details that made the story pop. The characters not only pull you into their world but also keep my attention to the end. I had no problems picturing myself in their world. They are connectable and made the story easy to read. They have great growth as well as chemistry which just added to the story. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. A great rockstar romance story that I highly recommend.

Whew, the sizzle between these two is off the charts! I have read several in this series and the world just keeps getting bigger and more complex. Master Campania went searching for the witches in his territory, and found Willow who he is drawn to. From two different worlds, the odds are stacked against them. So of course that means we are really rooting for them. Great world building, great characters, and a great satisfying plot! Keep them coming!

This book combines romance and suspense. It follows the story of a young woman who gets caught up in a dangerous world of Russian mafia and royal intrigue. The book explores themes of love, loyalty, and the complexities of navigating dangerous relationships. Lev and Daphne are essentially enemies to lovers – and honestly, those are the best stories! These two are total opposites. You know what they say about opposites attract!

Holy mackerel! This story is an emotional rollercoaster that I will ride over and over. Jordan and Lex’s story is a rough one. They both have some baggage to deal with. This is a story with drama, definite angst, overcoming addiction and relationship issues. Those are hard issues to deal with but the author did a wonderful job of making a realistic story of how a pair battles these issues. This is a story that really touches the heart and home. The characters are easy to relate to. A definite must read.

Bridget is on her honeymoon but without the groom, finding that her fiancée was having an affair with his secretary will somewhat put a blip in the plans. So arming herself with her best friend and deciding not to waste the trip she finds herself in Lovolia. When Daphne starts pushing her to forget the idiot she was going to marry and have a holiday fling, but when Daphne comments get too close for comfort off storms Bridget with a bottle of tequila.
While wondering Bridget finds herself on a small beach with no crowds accept a lone man surfing in the sea, when all of a sudden she is starring at the most handsome man she has seen in ages and when he approaches her demanding she leaves the private beach something happens between them that makes it impossible to move. Until advances are made and tequila regrets maybe on the cards.
Fyn has pressures most people could not conceive, the next in the line for King all he wants is to live his life the way he wants to live it, but when the King and Queen are pressuring him to marry Princess Abigail who he does not even like it all becomes too much. Fyn does what he loves to unwind and goes surfing at the private beach until he is rudely interrupted by a trespasser. As Fyn gets to know her better the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts but just as he has found her she vanishes and he is lost.
Over the year of searching for her she shows up back in his life and he is not letting her escape again, but with the unrest in his country can he keep hold of the woman he loves and help save the country he loves from the rebels out to destroy the monarchy?
I have read a lot of Gwyn’s books and they all offer strong female leads and this one does not disappoint, although at the beginning Bridget is lost and seems grown down by the end of the story she is determined to fight for her man even if it upsets the Queen/Fyn’s mother. Fyn’s character has different dimensions and with his strong relationship to his best friend Lev shows another layer to this complicated character.
The story flows and is well written, with twists and turns throughout the story will have you engaged until the end. As this is the first book in the series it sets up the world of Lovolia brilliantly and has you wanting to visit to see the various sites that is described within the pages.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series regarding Lev and Daphne as this seems a fiery relationship in this book.

What a read! This book is a romantic comedy but it’s got its fair share of twists.
What to say about this book. I don’t even want to say too much because this is just a book you have to experience. It’s got relatable characters, humor, and twists you don’t expect. I couldn’t put it down. I HAD to find out how everything was going to play out. I highly recommend giving this book a read!
This book is book 5 of the series. This is the first part of Phoenix and Aspen’s duet but Cruel Start should be read before this one. I have loved every minute of this series and this book is no different.
Phoenix and Aspen can’t seem to communicate without fighting. Which is pretty inconvenient when they are experiencing something they need to communicate about. I’m not going to say much about what happens in this book because I don’t want to give anything away but seriously, read it!
It is so well written. The characters are great, even though their behavior sucks sometimes. I was hooked from the beginning and can’t get enough of this series. There is so much angst and feeling you get sucked into the world! I highly recommend!

If Hallmark made raunchy movies, this would be it. Small town girls meets her Prince after a horrible breakup while she goes on her pre-purchased honeymoon. Sprinkle in civil unrest and an evil princess, you have the classic romance novel. I wish we got a little more backstory with each character. Even though they felt an instant connection, I didn’t feel that with our two main characters. I did however, feel the instance hated if Fyn’s parents and abigail towards Bridgette. The descriptions of their encounters were spot on. Ultimately, this This was a quick entertaining read that you will not want to put down.

Royally Complicated: (A Stand-alone Royal Forbidden Romance) (The Crowned Hearts Series Book 1)
So very thankful for long weekends, if today had been a work day I might have called in sick so I could finish devouring this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and only put it down long enough to make supper and eat.
Ms. McNamee and Ms. Anderson’s writing styles blend perfectly in this book. I have read several of their books individually and one other collaboration and have not been disappointed one.
I love trying to figure out what’s going to happen next but they were able to surprise me a few times.
Fyn and Bridget work so well together and even with all that they have to deal with, they find their way.
I already have the next book loaded on my Kindle to read and I can’t wait.

This was an amazing read. The development of the plot and the characters was wonderful. Gwyn does an amazing job of keeping the reader engaged.
This book follows the stories of Bridgets and Fyn. Bridget just wanted to get away from the reality of what happened back home with her ex. her best friend talks her into going on a girls’ trip to help her forget him and move on.
Fyn is tired of his parents meddling in his life and telling him what he can and cannot do all of the time. He just wanted a few hours of solace alone in his favorite place on the island. His own beach where he can enjoy a stress-free ride on the waves.
When Bridget gets fed up with her friend she wanders off with an old friend, a bottle of tequila. She finds her way to a beach that seems to be empty. When she notices a handsome man off in the distance riding the waves. Once he finally, emerges she is entranced by his features. One thing leads to another and they are getting very close and personal. Unfortunately, their intimate moment gets interrupted by the royal guard.
What happens when a commoner sleeps with the crowned prince? Can they be together or is this just a fling? Will the royal family approve of a woman with no noble blood? What happens when two souls are ripped apart?
Read this book to find out what happens with Fyn and Bridget. I also suggest some water because the steam in this book is sure to heat your blood.

Everything was a blood bath, Kodiak challenged as an Alpha, their headquarters a mess, bodies buried but the memories remain. Tamaska is still not safe, but she’s also bonded to an Alpha and she wants to be changed into a werewolf herself and is by no means patient about it. Kodiak however is not sure she would survive the change and knows they are missing something regarding Tamaskas past Meanwhile the Vampires need her but they are restless trying to capture her but now that she’s shown her hand they know if they capture Kodiak that’s the next best thing and it will draw her in eventually. How does the blood opal play into this, what do those vamps want it for, what does it have to do with Tamaska. Can she and Kodiak get out alive, can he lead the pack, and is he finally going to turn her? This series is not a stand alone. If you want to understand these characters get the prior books and enjoy then. I’m excited to learn there is a 4th book!

I have followed this author through many stories and am pleased to find that this book is just as wonderful as the others I have read! Bridget is going through it right now. Her fiancé cheated, and now she’s on “their” honeymoon because who wouldn’t want to get away after an earth-shattering revelation like that? She finds a surfer, Fyn, who turns out to be a prince. Could this turn into a real-life fairytale, or is this just a simple rebound? I really enjoyed the flow of this story as I was sucked into this reality before I realized it. I sat down to read a couple chapters and looked up to find it was hours later! This has romance, drama, steamy scenes, and plenty of other emotions, so go ahead and pick it up to get lost for the day.

We return with Tamaska and Kodiak…the Blood opal is missing and Tamaskas world has been absolutely rocked to the core. The passion builds between these two as they begrudgingly work together unable to deny the connection between them and the heat that fires so quickly into an inferno.
Tamaska continues to be stubborn and there are many unanswered questions about why she’s starting to feel a little less human and a little more….what exactly.
Can Kodiak protect his pack while dealing with his Alpha who doesn’t want him anywhere near Tamaska and protect Tamaska from the Vampires who want her… blood… or is it more than that Good read!

This was a good story, there is a lot compacted into it. I always enjoy a second chance story and this one definitely fits into this category. I think this would be a great read for a rainy day.

Bridget turns her non-refundable honeymoon into a girl’s trip with her best friend when she catches her fiancé cheating and calls off the wedding. Fueled by tequila, she has a romp on the sand with a stranger…only to find out that stranger is actually the Prince when the royal guard comes looking for him. Fast forward a year and the two are brought together again, determined to make a go at something permanent. However, Fyn has a country in turmoil, an over-bearing mother determined to marry him off to a royal, and the princess of a neighboring country who is determined to be the one to wear the crown. Can these two overcome the obstacles stand in their way? Or will Bridget and Fyn be a fairytale without a happy ending?
I really enjoyed these characters. There were moments that were hot and steamy, some that were tense and catty, and some that were just romantic as can be. It’s a modern telling of a fairytale where the prince and American commoner fall in love and are determined to make it work! I loved it!

This short read give a bit of backstory into Phoenix and Aspens 1st encounter, everything that went down with Shane and Phoenix and Tracey, and how Phoenix hurt his hand. It was important to read. Helped tie it all together and made the story (as well as the characters) that much more intense. I am LOVING the Hidden Valley Elite books. Can’t wait for the final book in Phoenix and Aspen’s story. Eeeep!!!!

What a way to start a book! Instantly grabbed my attention, which I LOVE. If you can grab my attention in just the first 2 pages, then that’s a great book in my opinion. I was intrigued when I read what this book is about and my goodness, I’m glad I read this one. The suspense, the thrill…OBSESSED. I never wanted it to end. Now I’m going to start the next book of this series, because I haven’t had enough. LOVE this authors writing as well!! So so good. There’s also a little bit of romance and I just love when writers can put a little bit of each genre, in their work! Highly recommend this series!

This third book in the series has all the excitement and intrigue as the first 2! I definitely recommend reading the series in order to get all the details and full story. This book is told through Kodiak and Tamaskas point of view. They are still working to find out why the vampires want Tamaska so badly and they are hunting the Blood Opal. Tamaska makes a mistake and decides to go to her apartment to get some things. When the vampires take Kodiak to lure Tamaska out she decides to take matters into her own hands after feeling guilty for not being able to protect herself. This book was really awesome. I ended up reading some of the others in the series after I read this one. To say I’m obsessed with the Hidden Valley Elite may be a slight understatement. Phoenix and Aspen may be my favorite couple so far. They have this love/hate/love thing going on, and I am SO HERE for it. I am sitting on PINS and NEEDLES waiting for the next book to find out how their story ends. Isla Vaughn has created a world I love escaping to. Full of beautiful people, and wonderful friendships and lots of drama, mixed in. I highly suggest her! She’s got magic in her fingers. Creating worlds that give an escape from our own, even if just for the chapters, its enough to appreciate her talent.

Tamaska and Kodiak are back and are still recovering from the latest vampire attack where the pack was reduced and that grief still floods the space as they deal with their losses and bury their dead. Another thing which is flooding the space is blood, both vampire and wolf shifter, it is everywhere and that isn’t priority number one, Kodiak being sworn in as alpha is, but he is challenged and that leads to him having to fight one of his own, it is something he hates, but knows it is also something he needs to do.
After the fight and no further issues, security is upgraded so the pack can stay safe while all of them pull together so that clean up goes more quickly in case of unexpected visitors. Tamaska insists on helping out, but when she asks to go and get something to help the process along, Kodiak is reluctant, they know the vampires are still out there and that they want Tamaska for her blood, but she eventually convinces him and heads out, but her next decision is one that will endanger everyone, she decides to go back home and pick up some belonging and that is where danger calls in, someone is waiting there for her.
Meanwhile, one of the other pack members is researching Tamaska’s ancestry, the jewel they are all fighting over, as well as how to turn a human, what risks there are and whether it can be done at all, this has been demanded of Kodiak because Tamaska wants to be a shifter and a full member of the pack, especially when Kodiak chooses her as his mate over the other pack members. Although Tamaska is trying her best, it seems that she just isn’t doing anything right and being kept in the dark about everything isn’t helping her, but when another attack happens, the worst imaginable scenario happens, the vampires capture Kodiak and want to trade Tamaska for him, neither can think of being without the other, but they also both know how stubborn the other is, but why is Tamaska so important and how will she be able to convince the rest of the pack what she needs to do?
Can the pack figure out the answers to all these questions while still trying to stay together as a pack, or will Kodiak’ choices splinter the pack more thoroughly than any vampire attack could and will Tamaska be able to become a full member? This is another action packed book in this series where danger lies around every corner and secrets, trust and acceptance are woven into a web so tangled, you will have to read until the end to find out where it starts and ends.

Love & Stilettos by Evelyn Lindell is available now in eBook and Physical Book ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
Love & Stilettos was full of secret identities, manipulation, and deceitful motives. I loved every moment of this novel from beginning to end. The characters were lovable and relatable in so many ways. Granny stole my heart and I loved how determined Mitch was. With humor intertwined throughout, there were plenty of literal laugh out loud moments. I loved that this romance novel had a villain who didn’t get away with their actions. About half way through the novel I had suspicions of who the villain was but it didn’t ruin any moment of the story for me. There were plenty more twists to come following my suspicions. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys reading romance with a hint of humor and a lot of suspense. You won’t regret this one! I can’t wait to see if there is more to come for these wonderful characters.

After she caughter her fiance cheating, Bridget needed to get away and try to find herself again. After hearing some harsh truth from her bestie she takes off with a bottle of tequila and finds herself on a beach that is deserted and turns out to be private property. Her life is about to be turned upside down. Fynix, or as Bridget comes to know him at first, Fyn, is the crown prince of Lovolia. Upon their initial meeting he doesn’t tell her that as he figured she already knew that particular detail. Imagine his surprise when he realizes that she has absolutely no idea. He didn’t intend to lie, but in the heat of the moment he didn’t exactly get around to telling the truth. Once the royal guard showed up on behalf of his mother all bets were off and Bridget felt betrayed all over again. Now a year has passed and Bridget is back to say her good-bye to Fyn and move on with her life. Fyn on the other hand is showing up in hopes that he sees her again and this time he doesn’t intend to let her walk away. This is the true beginning of their forever. Royally Complicated was a quick and easy read. The characters were enjoyable as well. I liked the no nonsense approach that the best friend Daphne took with Bridget. We all need a friend like that in our lives. This is definitely a book that should be added to your collection.

View all my reviews

This was a really fast paced steamy romance between a Prince and a normal girl. This is the story of Fyn and Bridget. The chemistry between Fyn and Bridget is off the charts and even though Fyn is a Prince that isn’t known by Bridget when they first meet. Fyn doesn’t have an easy life. As Prince of Lovolia his family is expecting him to marry someone to enhance their status and produce an heir. Fyn however has other ideas. He doesn’t want to marry someone just because of their status or what they can bring to the kingdom. When he meets Bridget he was expecting to meet her once and never again but when their paths cross and Bridget learns the truth of who he is then he has to fight for the right to be with the person he wants. Bridget is on what should have been her honeymoon but after finding out her husband to be was cheating she took the holiday with her best friend. When she meets a handsome man on the beach she wasn’t expecting anything to come of it. She definately didn’t expect to find out that he is a Prince.
As their connection grows they realise that their feelings are more that just one night thing but there are plenty of problems standing in their way. Mainly the Queen and King. Will they allow their son to be with a normal girl?
This is a fast paced romance and I love how determined Fyn is to fight of the woman he loves and how he will go against all odds to be with her. I really enjoyed this story. After all who doesn’t want to find their Prince. Especially one as hot as Prince Fyn. Fyn and Bridget are so perfect together. Their connection is steamy and off the chart chemistry but they also perfectly fit together and are made for each other. Their journey to be together is far from an easy one and the pair have to fight for the right to be together no matter who or what is against them.
