Be prepared to have to put the book down long enough to take a breather. They heat between Daphne and Lev is off the charts and not for the faint at heart
I flove Daphne, she is loud, brash and just the absolute best. I felt a kinship with her for some reason but I can’t quite place my finger on it.
Lev is dark and broody with an edge of danger which makes him all the hotter in my mind.
Daphne’s first escape was entertaining and pretty funny. I could visualize her climbing up, and it brought back of a funny memory from one particular day I skipped a class in high school and still have the scar many years later.
Both of these ladies need to continue to write together as well as separately. I can’t seem to get enough of them.

I really enjoy this authors writing. I always want to grab her books to read. This book is just as good as all the others, and has bits of spiciness and comedy that makes for a great romance read. You can feel the chemistry jumping off the pages, almost like you’re in the room with Fyn and Bridget. This book has so much to offer! I definitely recommend.

For such a quick read, I was absolutely blown away by the 7th book in the Masters of the Consulate series! I love this author and am always excited when I get to pick up another magnificent work of art from her. If you have responsibilities, take care of them before you pick this book up because you will absolutely neglect them after you get lost in this story. The way the author is able to craft such a dangerous, magical realm with characters you can’t help but be invested in is unbelievable. Campania and Willow have such an intriguing chemistry and the author keeps you engaged with them the whole way through. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series!

I never hesitate to pick any book up from this author! I loved this one more than the first (Royally Complicated), and that’s a rare thing! Lev and Daphne have such a captivating chemistry that you’ll feel the tension jump right off the pages. The level of emotions you feel from them is incredible. I love how strong (and stubborn) Daphne is throughout this story because Lev sure doesn’t know how to handle her at first. Also, there are steamy scenes in here to die for. I highly recommend picking this up and giving it a chance, but don’t forget to pick up the first as well to get a little more back story on everyone involved!

This book follows two of the characters we met in the first book…Lev and Daphne. These two couldn’t be more opposite if they tried! Their banter had me laughing out loud…and the steaminess what H-O-T!
Daphne is not ready to return to a country where her best friend won’t be by her side…and Lev is ready for a vacation while the Prince and Princess are away. What neither of them expect is that they will spending it together since they have a love-to-hate each other relationship. What ensues is funny, dramatic, endearing, and (at times) frustrating!
Just like the first book in the series, this one is filled with twists and turns that you may not see coming. It is also amazingly written and I couldn’t put it down! These authors make magic on the pages and I am here for it!

Master Campania is the seventh book from the Masters of the Consulate series. I have not read all of the books so far but I have read a few of them. Even though each book is about one of the Vampire Masters finding their mates, there is a subplot connecting each book to each other. Each book can technically be read as a stand alone, but I suggest reading each book of the series to be fully engaged with the characters.
This time around, it’s about Master Campania and Willow, who is a witch. Vampires and witches are enemies and can never be fated mates right? Well Campania and Willow are both starting to wonder if that is true or not.
Master Campania is looking for a group of witches he heard was in his territory. He’s hoping to get some information out of them about rogue vampires who are working with witches. When he finds the group he is looking for, he is instantly attracted to one of them. Campania convinces her (Willow) to come have a civil talk and he will leave her and her friends alone.
Although Willow has left the academy, she still felt connected to her fellow witches and lied to Campania about where he could find some rogues. Before Willow and her friends can escape, Campania catches on and appears to the group of females. He kidnaps them and keeps Willow with him. She WILL help him if she wants to see her friends again.
Thus begins the classic tale of enemies to lovers. There is a strong connection between the two of them but years of being taught to despise each other’s kind is bound to get in the way. Will they be able to put their differences aside for the greater good?
Once again the author was able to create a romantic scene within a world of darkness. I loved each book of this series I have read so far and can’t wait to read about the next Master of the Consulate!

What is worse that could happen when you run away from your problems at home to a foreign country and have hate sex? Having hate sex with your best friend’s new husband’s best friend. Daphne never had intentions of staying in Lovolia longer than the wedding but when things change with Lev Daphne has no choice. The chemistry between the two is off the chart but they are worse than gasoline to a fire!! This book is great. Many different twists and turns that you never can predict what will happen next! Can’t wait to see what this author comes out with next.

Everyone has a version of the supernatural and this author is no different. The world she has built is a wonder. This book is an enemy to lovers. This was the first book of this series that I read. I’ll definitely be going back and reading the rest.

I thought this book was as great way to start a new series. It is an interesting take on an ex-military character. I can’t recall another book that it is the female character who was in the military, let alone a sniper. I engaged with the story easily and became invested in the characters pretty quickly. I liked the fact the author didn’t shy away from the PTSD element of the book. This author is one that I have become recently familiar with and this is another one of her books I can say I thoroughly enjoyed. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the series.

This was my first book by Gwyn and I have to say I am now a fan for sure. This is the first in the series even though this is a stand alone series, this book is a great start! The characters are everything you ask for and more. The story is a romantic story with all the witty elements you need for love. I cannot wait to read the second story!

Once again, I loved another addition of the Master’s of the Consulate series. Master Campania and the other purebloods are still on the hunt for rogue witches and shifters. Campania seeks information from local witches who have left their coven. What he doesn’t realize is that the witch he finds will have a connection to him. Willow is a powerful witch who has left her coven due to not agreeing with the leader. She is hoping to just live her life peacefully but knows exactly who Campania is when he walks into the bar. Very quickly they move from enemies to lovers. However, Campania always doubted the witches because of the history the vampires have with them. Even though both feel the psychic connection, he speaks of the lack of trust which breaks Willow’s heart. In the end, both realize what needs to be done and how they need each other to survive this life. This isn’t the last installment of this series so does end with their story finished, but another will take place. As usual, I loved their story. These books are short, sweet, entertaining, to the point, with a little romance involved. Both characters were loveable. The couple had great banter and chemistry. I can’t wait for the next one.

Lev is the stoic bodyguard, ready to protect the Prince Fynix so when Fyn met Bridget on the private his life has not been the same. Although Fyn is happy with Bridget, she bring baggage with her in her best friend Daphne who is the royal pain in the bum to Lev. Can the grumpy bodyguard become friends with this annoying American or will they kill each other?
Daphne has become a staple at the Palace but when a brief encounter with the grumpy bodyguard leave her frustrated and confused, so when Bridget and Fyn go on honeymoon Daphne has a secret and can’t go home she decides to sneak into the private villa of Fyn but unbeknownst to her, Lev is relaxing there. Can they put there away there dislike for each other aside and realise that there is actually an attraction.
This is the second book in this series and although this mainly revolves around Daphne and Lev you could read this as a stand alone story but if would be advisable to read the first book as it gives you the background the characters and how they have together.
The chemistry from the two main characters jumps right off the page and opens up Lev as a character as in the first book he is very shut down person but you get at more of the history and how his family become involved with the Royal family in Lovolia. Daphne was a strong character in the first book but this book shows the vulnerable side of her which it seems not many people see.
The twists and turns that occur in the story, keeps the story moving and flows brilliantly. The secondary characters enhances the book and with the beautiful descriptions of the landscape you feel that the land is a character all of its own. I can’t to read the next book in this sequence as you can’t leave the ending like that, I need to know me.

This is book 7 of the Masters of the Consulate series and these books just keep getting better and better. As the Masters get closer to bringing down the rogue vampires the story really keeps you on the edge of your seat. And with this being a paranormal romance there is a fated mates element too in the form of Master Campania and Willow. Master Campania is a confirmed bachelor, never wanting to settle down with a woman until he meets Willow. However, everything says they shouldn’t be together, the main reason being he is a vampire and Willow is a witch. With bad blood between them can they even trust each other enough to make a relationship work? Their connection is so strong and the chemistry between them is so hot that both parties could end up burning in the flames. Campania searches Willow out to help him find the witches that are helping the rogue vampires and shifters who are determined to destroy the life that the vampires have created. However he gets more than he anticipated when he finally gets his witch.
This story is fast paced and full of action as well as high emotions. The writing really drags you into the story making you feel every confusing emotion that Campania and Willow go through on their path to discovering what they mean to each other. The story ends setting us up perfectly for the next book. Will the Masters of the Consulate finally be able to rid themselves of the rogue vampires and threat to their way of life or will they escape again? And what part do the witches play? I have a feeling that there is something deeper going on with the witches and the side the choose.

This was my 1st spooky season read & it was good for dipping my toes in! Brimming with vampires & witches & magic & werewolves, it definitely matches the vibe. The storyline moves right along & there’s never a dull moment. Willow is so easily likeable, I never got annoyed with her decision making or thought she was doing too much. She is brave & sweet & fights for what she believes in. Campania is smoldering & sexy & also never p*ssed me off lol. They had a steamy scene but I wished for more! The other characters were all great too & really solidly supportive. & we always love a good girl power moment ! It was refreshing to read something entertaining without getting my emotions bounced around a Nascar racetrack lol.

I love that these characters are so complex and different. Campania does not like witches so of course his mission he is on involves dealing with one. I love the story between Campania and Willow. Their attraction is off the charts. As with the rest of the series it is hard to put this book down.

Russian and Royally Complicated is the second book in The Crowned Hearts Series and is a Enemies to Lover’s Romance that will have you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next. These two authors are two of my favorites and when they write together Holy Smokes! This is Lev and Daphne’s story and wowzers you thought the first book was sizzling hot you haven’t seen nothing yet. These two meet at their best friends Fyn and Bridget’s wedding. The chemistry between them is off the charts but they’re both ignoring the pull between. There’s plenty of drama, secret, friendship, enemies and so much more packed into this must read . I don’t want to accidentally give away anything from the story so I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I would also recommend reading the previous book if you haven’t already started as its just as good as this one. I can’t wait to read more from these authors.

This is the second book on The Crowned Hearts Series. I enjoyed reading this book as much as the previous one. The way that the story is told makes you feel invested on the story. Character development was consistent and approachable. This was definitely fun to read.

My favorite things about this book: a female Marine sniper, a retired military war dog, and an author not afraid to tackle the very difficult topic of PTSD.
This book had it’s hooks in me from the get go. There is a series of suicides happening in the small community of Eider and they all seem to be connected. It’s up the sheriff’s department, along with the feds, to try to figure this out. Nic is bound and determined that she’s going to be the one to crack this case. Her demons keep getting in the way and putting her in harm’s way too.
Eider Police Detective Con O’Hanlon (I laughed everytime I read his name even though it’s shortened…a con as a police detective) may be the only thing that can stand in the line of fire when these demons come back to haunt Nic. She’s got to be willing to let him in to do that though!
Very well written story that has your turning pages as quickly as possible, yet also not wanting the story to end!

Lev and Daphne are like fire and ice. They clash at the wedding, and again later. Lev in the beginning is a character you love to hate at first. Then you slowly warm up to him the more you learn about his background. Daphne, I loved from the get go. If I had met her in real life she definitely would’ve been my best friend. I adored her from the beginning. Watching those two was entertaining. I loved every single moment of it!

Wonderful book. I can’t wait to continue this series because I could feel every word Ms. Austin wrote. You could tell how much she cared about this story, about the message she was sending. It bled through every word. This isn’t my normal genre but something about Austin’s passion drew me to this book and I never looked back! Very thoughtful and thought provoking! Packed with plenty of suspense, mystery, and thrills, Atonement speaks for itself in volumes! My next trip into McIntire County can’t come soon enough! Highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a story that will make you think about life differently and have so much more respect for what people go through and what they might be hiding.

It takes a lot to rebuild your social standing and when you are torn between maintaining your position and figure it out if you can still be friends with someone who meant so much to you but disappeared, there is a lot of pressure. Private school has been great for Mina, but now what.
I truly felt all the emotions Mina and Wes were going through. I found myself wanting to listen to their struggles, be supportive and cheer them on as they went through a whole variety of situations both separate and together. This book kept my interest and made me excited to keep reading as I was incredible curious what would happen next.

This.bokm is an angst second chance, rockstar Romance with characters that have explosive and undeniable chesnitry. The characters each have their own baggage to work through. And normally that would pull people apart but it works for them. Their connection is strong and believable. I thought the story was got to read. It was engaging and I enjoyed it the whole way through. This is definitely a book worth reading and I would recommend it.

Although this book could possibly be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first books in the series because they will introduce you to some of the recurring characters that pop up. Putting that aside, it is an amazing series that you will not want to miss out on.
This book centers on the characters of Master Campania and Willow and is told from each of their points of view. Master Campania is a vampire that rules the south of Italy with an iron fist. Nobody would dare lie to him or betray him because they would not live to see another night. When Master Campania learns of rogue shifters and traitorous vampires teaming up with a group of witches, he is determined to find them and put a stop to them. Master Campania sees all and knows all in his dark underworld, so he knows where a group of witches have been living and where they like to socialize.
Enter Willow, a witch who is out for a night of fun with her friends at a club that Master Campania frequents. Willow and her friends have fled the academy because they were tired of being under the thumb of the head witches, and the coven leader Devora. They are hiding out in Master Campania’s region thinking that nobody would think to look for them there. However, Master Campania is aware of the witches as well as where they are staying. When he spots Willow at the club, he approaches her and demands information on the whereabouts of the rogue witches. Willow is reluctant to tell him anything and instead gives him false information to buy them time so her and her friends can flee to safety. Unfortunately, Willow and her friends do not escape quickly enough, and Master Campania quickly hunts them down. He is now angry that she lied to him and is more determined to get the information he seeks. What he does not expect is to find this little witch so enchanting. Willow also finds herself attracted to Master Campania. What will become of this mutual attraction?
This was yet another fantastic book in this series! The author draws the reader in from the first few pages with a suspenseful, action-packed, and intense storyline. Master Campania is a dark, sexy, devious, and ruthless vampire that nobody dares to betray. He is used to getting his own way and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Willow is a feisty, bullheaded, smart, and charming witch that values her friends and will do anything to protect them. When Master Campania and Willow first meet it is under less-than-ideal circumstances. They are opposites from two different worlds where vampires and witches have been taught that they are mortal enemies and that they must never mix. However, when Master Campania and Willow meet the chemistry and attraction between them is intense and undeniable. It was impossible to not continue reading to see if either would act on the attraction and if there was hope of them having a relationship. This book hooked me until the end and kept me riveted until the last pages. I cannot wait for book number eight!

Whew this one had me back and forth with my emotions towards every single character in it.
College is in full swing for Aspen and Phoenix and the rest of the group of “elites” we’ve met in previous books. We learn a lot in this story about these 2. Phoenix is having trouble with his grades and he’s too stubborn and embarrassed to accept help from those offering. He and his twin aren’t close like they have been and it’s throwing him off balance. Add in his grandfather and the things with Aspen and he’s a pressure cooker ready to explode with stress.
Aspen, while I can relate to a lot of things with her and also like she sticks up for herself in most situations, I felt a small disconnect but it may just be “age and thought” differences.
Overall I was hooked and couldn’t put this down and the ending, ugh what a cliffhanger!

The Guardsman (The Olympic Peninsula Series Book 2) by Cat Treadgold. I love this Olympic Peninsula series. Its the second book in the series and I recommend reading the first book before due to the same characters being in this book. This is Liam’s story. Liam is a troubled man who has pretty much had to raise his sister Ali and they had a very hard time growing up. Liam was presumed dead for 3 years after being in an explosion in Israel. Ali has never stopped looking for him and when they find him, she and her husband bring him home with them. Liam is trying to heal and get his life back together and decide what he wants to do with his life. When he meets Theresa, Ali’s sister in law, he becomes very protective and feels things he swore he would never feel. As he tries to process all the emotions of what he has been thru will there be room for Theresa and will he allow himself that happiness. Read this amazing 2nd book in this series to find out!
