This is the second book in the King Brothers series and it is absolutely amazing! Kellen and Salem are incredible characters. It is very apparent that the author spent an extraordinary amount of time developing them as they felt like people I knew in real life instead of just people on a page. The chemistry between them leaps off the pages as you learn everything about them on this emotional rollercoaster. There are many twists and turns in this contemporary romance which makes it impossible to put down! I highly recommend picking up the first book in the series not only to ensure you aren’t lost, but also to experience the story the way it was meant to be. If you enjoy emotional romances with alpha male feels, please don’t pass this up! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

This is the second book of the series. I definitely want to read the first book. In this book it’s more focused on Claire and Trian. Claire was cursed and because of it she doesn’t want to love another. Trian is a guard assigned to her and falls deeply for her. Can she risk everything?

This book didn’t disappoint, the author has done it again. This book draws you in from the first chapter and keeps you guessing until the very last page. This is Claire’s story and you find yourself on the edge of your seat rallying for her. This has a slow burn romance with magic, action and suspense. You will not be disappointed in this book and I can’t wait to read the next in line.

Read the previous book in series, Wild Lavender, and was taken aback by all the fantasy, adventure and romance intertwined that I wanted to continue to read the next story in the series. This story focuses on another set of characters, Trian and Claire. Claire hides a part of herself and swears to never give her heart away. Trian is able to go beyond her limits and start an amicable relationship. He ends up being a mentor to Claire in the healing arts as the feelings draw them closer to one another. Unfortunately dealing with Trian has led Claire in dire straits and she is taken away to Nifolhad. She must now build her own defenses and strength to make it back home and to Trian. I loved getting to know the other characters and their background stories as well as how their journey spans out. I also loved learning about this world in which the characters live in and set up for what can be the next book in series.

Allow yourself to get swept up in this great read!! It’s obvious that a lot of time and attention to detail have gone into writing this epic fantasy read. There is a play on words in the title, even though it’s not to a depth that I would have thought. There is mystery, intrigue, lore, and of course, romance to keep you captivated from the first to last words!
This is the second book in a series. This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend going back and reading the first book as well!

This is the second book of the Heart & Hand series. Although it is set shortly after the first book, it could technically be read as a stand alone. The first book was about Lady Anna and Lark’s love story. This time around, it’s focused on Anna’s sister Claire and her love interest Trian. There is mention of things that had previously happened so it would be easier if you read the books in order but is not necessary.
Claire has the gift of foresight. She thinks it’s a curse since she can’t control when a vision happens. She keeps it locked up tightly. After the loss of her home and parents, Claire decides to put her heart on lockdown. Vowing to never fall in love in fear of losing another loved one.
Trian is assigned to escort Lady Claire and as time goes on they start bonding. Claire teaches Trian about different plants and their uses while Trian teaches Claire how to adapt and survive no matter where she is.
One day, Claire is kidnapped and she has to take all of the lessons taught to make her way back home. She presumed that Trian is dead so she no longer cares about how she looks and starts using her gift to her advantage with the help of women who have similar powers. She will do anything to get home to her sister.
I loved Anna in the first book and I love her sister just as much. They are so similar yet so different. Claire is strong, witty, cunning, intelligent and beautiful. Trian is brave, strong, shy, and caring. I like how the author wrote their relationship slowly developing instead of “boom! We are in love” like a lot of romances tend to do. I feel like this book was a lot more action filled compared to the first and I loved it.

Once again the mystical world of Aurelia came vividly to life in this epic, sizzling slow burn fantasy romance. I was gripped by book one so would personally recommend reading it first, however this can be read as a standalone story. Lady Claire has a secret, that she can ‘foretell another’s fate’. Claire is determined to never fall in love due to this curse. Then she meets Trian, a shy nobleman assigned by King Godwin to escort her across the realm. When Claire discovers he is immune to her powers a friendship develops. Claire then finds herself falling in love, however, her fears come true when Trian is attacked. Claire is taken to the dark kingdom of Nifolhad by assassin’s. In order to survive and with hopes of returning to Aurelia Claire ally’s herself with the mystical women of the Fenrhi Temple. She soon finds herself in the middle of the battle for Nifolhad’s throne, but help then comes from unexpected places. To return to her home and to her loved ones she must embrace her curse and think of it as a gift. The descriptive narrative brings both the characters and setting to life making me feel immersed in the story. The epic storyline and exciting plot twists had me gripped throughout. Whilst the slow burn romance between Claire and Trian kept me happily turning the pages. I look forward to book three!

This is book one in The Casket Girls series. I can’t wait to get into book two! This one had me turning page after page to find out what happened next. I really liked Greer’s character. Despite waking up and finding out she was kidnapped, just to be sold off as some strange man’s wife, she never gives up. I loved the paranormal and enemies to lovers aspect. This book really kept my attention. I highly recommend this book. You won’t regret it.

The writing is captivating, and the little bit of historical facts littered throughout the books, is amazing. I couldn’t simply put it down and found myself reading into the wee hours of the morning. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Wild King is book 2 in the series. I suggest reading book 1 first since alot of this book, has stuff from the first book. Wild King is about Kellen. He is a free spirit who loves to unwind with the ladies. He doesn’t want to settle Down and everyone is made aware of that before he spends the night with them. Kellen hooks up with a woman named Gina who actually works for King Industries. When she realizes she can’t get Kellen to accept her as more then a hook up, she is hurt but she knew the score getting into bed with him. Kellen decides to go away for a 3 day weekend and meets a girl who he has an awesome time with. She’s feisty and doesn’t fall for his charms which makes him want her more. They spend the weekend together and when she is scheduled to fly back home but, he asks her to stay. Now she’s staying in his villa with him. They don’t know eachothers names or really anything about eachother aside from they are great together in bed. Kellen gets an urgent call from his older brother demanding to fly home Immediately as Gina is starting trouble and has gone public about their affair. King Industries is in hot water and Kellen’s being portrayed as a boss who sexually harassed an employee. He ends up leaving the woman in the villa without a word.
The woman Kellen spent the weekend with is the best fixer in the industry Salem Roberts. She also happens to be the one Matthias hires to fix this problem with Kellen and fix his image.
Kellen holds a lot of Resentment towards his brother Matthias and Ava and it’s hard for him to Listen to anything either of them say to him.
Will Kellen and Salem have a second chance after spending weeks together secluded away from prying eyes while She tries to fix this problem or is it just a job that Salem accepts because she can and she is the best.
I feel like I waited forever for book 2 and it was well worth the wait. This was a great read. Definitely cannot wait for the next in the series. The King brother’s make for some gooooood reading!!!

What a great story by an author that’s new to me. The beginning started in an interesting way as Claire is traveling to visit her twin sister. Claire ends up in the outskirts of Alienville where she goes missing. When Claire doesn’t show up when expected, her twin Moira travels to Alienville to find her. What Moira doesn’t know is that her showing up is the start of something unexpected! The author did an excellent job of writing a story that kept my attention and made me want to keep reading more. The characters and world building made the story that much more exciting. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Wild King is the second novel in the King Brothers Series. Kellen escapes from his life for a few days in paradise. There he meets Salem and sparks fly. Salem is very clear with how this vacation fling will work – no names. Kellen goes along with the plan until it’s time to leave. Salem has made him want to change his bad boy ways. Unbeknownst to either of them, Salem has been hired to turn Kellen’s reputation around.
This was a steamy but emotional read. I love a good bad boy character redemption story. And this one doesn’t disappoint. I recommend reading the series in order as you’ll get more background into the King family and dynamics.

Kellen has been leaving a string of broken hearts and bad decisions in his wake for some time now to drown his grief and anger. Everywhere he goes, he has his pick of women, drinks, and anything he could possibly dream of, thanks to being a King. After his most recent battle with Matthias about the choices he keeps making and the risk he keeps putting on the family name, Kellen takes a quick three day getaway to the islands to unwind and find a new conquest to forget about the trouble back home.
Salem is on the last leg of her vacation, and what do you know but Kellen King shows up trying to sweep her off her feet. She doesn’t know he’s Kellen King because she decides that, if they spend time together tonight (or this weekend), a stipulation is that they must not tell one another their names, and suggests they only lie to each other to add freedom to the excitement of it all.
After what was intended as a one night stand turns into a long weekend, they stick to the clause of no names, and when they part ways they both assume they’ll never see one another again. Before Kellen knows it, he’s caused more trouble than ever and Matthias calls in a fixer as the only other option to not being ostracized from the family. Little do any of them know, Kellen’s fixer turns out to be Salem, his no-name fantasy woman from his getaway. In an effort to do everything EXCEPT start behaving better, he gives Salem a run for her money, but she is a professional and at some points, just tired of his BS tantrums. She isn’t afraid to put him in his place when the opportunity calls for it, and it finally causes him to concede defeat. Once Kellen actually decides to try talking to Salem, they begin to have interest beyond the physical and form a friendship – and then when they must work together to solve an issue, it adds another layer to their wonderful chemistry.
Another great read about the King brothers and a story that is hard to put down! You can feel the emotions behind the characters and the pull Kellen and Salem have towards one another. The frustration, the grief, the anger…it pours through the pages. Read book 1 to get the story pre Kellen, but a great standalone story, as well.

An enjoyable enemies to lovers, billionaire romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Bad boy of the King family, Kellen has an anonymous long weekend fling, but just as he starts to think it could be something more, he blows it with his mystery woman. Salem knew she shouldn’t be seduced by the untamed, wild, yet charming man, but somehow she is. Keeping it anonymous was meant to keep her safe from getting hurt, but it didn’t. Fate ensured that they met again and Salem has the opportunity to either exact her revenge and make Kellen suffer, or discover if she still cares for the bad boy she met. The characters and setting came to life making me feel immersed in the story. The chemistry between Kellen and Salem sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. I am now keen to read the previous book in the ‘King Brothers’ series.

Dr Moira McCann is a woman on a mission, her twin sister Claire has not shown up for a visit, it is rare enough that she does that, but when Moira doesn’t hear anything for a couple of days, she gets worried, so she heads to her last location, a small town called Allenville. Seth Call is the Police Chief of Allenville and he knows everything which happens there and more importantly keeps Outsiders from finding out about it, however when one disappears and another one arrives, he knows he will have to work harder than ever to do it.
As Moira tries to find a lead to the whereabouts of her sister, she tries the usual places, the only hotel, the local diner and the police station. Unfortunately for Moira, there are no answers forthcoming and she has a feeling that there is something else happening, but she also feels that the Police Chief is not telling her everything either. Meanwhile, Seth knows that the disappearance could be something to do with the local mating season and when bodies are found, he knows that the danger is escalating.
Moira keeps hitting brick walls and so when she happens upon even the smallest hint, she grasps it and follows where it leads, but the facts don’t add up, not to mention that Seth is a very sexy distraction and is a flame which could easily ignite and derail her and Seth is feeling the same way about Moira. Will they be able to find Claire before she falls to a gruesome fate, or will the secrets Allenville is desperate to hide reveal themselves first? This is a romance with a bucket load of sci-fi thrown in where secrets, revelations, danger and hope mix to bring a fast paced story you will not want to miss.

I hadn’t read any books by this author before, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. I took a chance with this one and couldn’t be happier that I did! This is the first book in the Alienville series and what an incredible start it is. Within the very first chapter, this story gripped my attention and never let go. I couldn’t put it down for a moment which means I ignored quite a few chores and errands that day. I regret nothing! Moira and Claire are twins but couldn’t be more opposite. Claire is the whimsy, free-spirited sister while Moira is responsible and structured. Claire doesn’t respond to her sister so Moira goes to look for her, but nothing is as it seems. Once the Police Chief, Seth, meets Moira, he finds himself stuck between the truth and his feelings. I refuse to give anything away because this story surprised me at each and every turn! The flow and pace of this story is quite fast but somehow still feels natural. The characters are incredibly well-developed, and I loved the chemistry between Moira and Seth. If you enjoy an intriguing, suspenseful sci-fi romance, please pick this up because you won’t regret it. I cannot wait for the second book in this series!

Kellen has a way of having trouble follow him, he is a bachelor who likes to unwind with the ladies but when his latest antics catch up with him, he needs a break. Finding a stunning woman is just what he needs and when she reels off the conditions of a weekend of hot sex, he is sold. Having to head home though has him leaving without a word, imagine his surprise though when she shows up and is there to help his reputation.
Salem cannot believe the man she is hired to fix is the man who left after a intense sex filled weekend. Kellen digs his heels in though with Salem and it is only a matter of time before they act on it. Can the man who runs from commitment find a way of redeeming himself?
I really enjoyed this one, Kellen is a jerk of your dreams initially but he grows on you once you get to the heart of what is having him act out. I thought Salem was a delight, she puts Kellen in his place a time or two. Together they are a couple you are hoping will find their happily ever after, looking forward to the next book.

Hit the small town feels on the nose. This is the first book I have read by the talented Donna S. Frelick and being from a small town in the mountains of North Carolina this story truly came to life. With multiple perspectives the author takes us on an adventure into the truly unknown. Moira and her twin sister Claire are both very different but all it takes in one missed meet up and Moira goes on the hunt. Starting where she last heard from her sister, Moira heads to the town of Allenville. All she wants to do is find her sister and when told to talk to the local police chief things shift. Seth is conflicted. He wants to help Moira find her sister but must protect his town. Adding to the growing tension and suspense, beasts, mutilated bodies, secrets being revealed and more, Moira and Seth also must deal with their growing feelings for each other. Claire only stopped for the night to rest while traveling to visit her sister and everything changed. Will Moira find Claire? What happened to Claire? The world building was amazing. I honestly could picture the town and its people in my head. Not only from memory but from experience living in a small mountain town, everyone has their secrets and some of them are way more than you ever expected. The characters give a wide range of perspectives from being an outsider searching for her sister, to an out-of-this-world outsider and even a passerby that got mixed up in the secrets of the town. This was an amazing start to a new series, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next in Alienville.

I enjoyed this novel. It was a bit different than what I normally read but it was really interesting. I loved the building of this story and how we were slowly introduced to the world created by this author. The story kept my interest from the beginning to the end and I really enjoyed all the twists and turns in the story. I recommend this story for anyone who enjoys reading science fiction stories.

It took a few chapters to get into this book as I wasn’t sure what was happening, but then it turned into an exhilarating journey to the end!

Falling for a Star in the City: A Hockey Romance like the others is a well written short story that is full of emotions. It is full of the usual feelings of young love insecurities, drama, angst, anxiety, jealousy and much more. This book is a really interesting start to a new series. The main character is on the search of Atlantis and the search leads her to the discovery of a door, and a whole adventure she wasn’t expecting. My favourite part of the book is the characters. Each of them added something different to the story but the overall dynamic between them is what, for me, carried the story. I loved watching them develop as it progressed. Crystal Dawn is a new author to me and I feel like this book was a great way to show off her talents. It was exciting to read and I loved the world building she brought to it. I was excited to get to know the characters and to see what the adventure had in store for them. I am very much looking forward to the next book.

This is the first book in the Alienville series. This is a great sci-fi romance, suspense read. I am not normally a fan of sci-fi however this has so many elements to it that I couldn’t helped but be gripped. In this story you will find danger, violence, conspiracies, creatures from other worlds, as well as intrigue and romance. There is literally something for everyone. The authors creative mind has really created a story that has so many characters and so many layers that I found myself lost in the story. When Moira’s sister Claire goes missing, Moira decides to go to the last place she was supposed to be which was Allenville. When Claire arrives she gets a strange feeling that something bad has happened to her sister and turns to Police Chief Seth Call for assistance.
Seth knows or at least suspects what has happened to Moira’s sister. Their are strange and violent creatures that also love in Allenville. If his suspicions are correct the Claire has fallen pret to these creatures. The problem becomes is she alive or was she murdered? And if she is alive has she been transformed into one of these creature? And the biggest question of all, how is he going to explain to an outsider like Moira what is actually going on and the dangers that lurk in this small town? Can he keep the towns secrets and protect Moria at the same time? Will Moria’s determination to get to the truth or what happened to her sister also put her in harms way?
This story has so many twists and turns that I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to seeing what the author produces for us next

I couldn’t put the is book down. It was very easy to read. This book has everything g in it. Moira arrives in a mysterious small town trying to find her missing twin sister. There is just something off on the town. She can tell that no one is giving her the full truth. Can she find her sister before it is too late? Can’t wait for book two.

5 Stars Falling for a Star in the City (Stars in the City Series) by Krysten Lindsay Hager
Falling for a Star in the City is the second book in the Stars in the City Series. This is a YA Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I highly recommend reading the first book in this series as it’s just as good as this one plus you get to know the characters better. The characters are relatable, fully developed and creative. They make the story come to life. Paige and Viktor , she thought she had it all, dream job perfect boyfriend. When her job is reduced she finds herself with an internship for a local tv station Sports department. Viktor is a college hockey player. These two definitely have chemistry between them. They both have issues but can they overcome their issues and have a relationship they both deserve? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author

This book is three short stories in one. Each story is fast paced with a little bit of story and a whole lot of steaminess with BDSM and Dom/sub story lines. This was my first time ready this much erotica but I enjoyed it. I was able to read each story in one night and look forward to ready more from this author. If you like super steamy reads this book is for you. You won’t be disappointed.

Taste of Honey is a 3 story BDSM collection. All with varying degrees of erotica, spicy, romance, feistiness, and anything else you can think of. Each story is different, the common being a male dominant and female submissive. Which is typically what you find in these works of fiction. The Gift is a story about a woman who made the choice as soon as she ended up at the hotel room. Penelope didn’t realize what she was getting herself into with Mr. Deveroux. She felt shamed, humiliated, and at the same time didn’t understand why her body screamed for more. The dynamic between these two felt slow at the beginning. I had difficulty pushing through, but overall their story was enjoyable. The Commander’s Club was my favorite of the 3 stories!
