Wild King (King Brothers Series) by K.M. Scott

Kellen
It was only supposed to be a well-deserved, three-day break from life back in the city.
Three days in the islands without interruptions from work or anything else.
Then I met her. She was beautiful and sexy, and she insisted we didn’t share names. I would have been crazy not to agree to a long weekend of anonymous sex.
I don’t know when it happened, but it turned into more. I started thinking about forever with my mystery woman.
That doesn’t sound like something a bad boy ever considers, but there it is. I’d found the woman for me.
And just when I had it all, I blew it.
Salem
He crashed into my life like a hurricane. He was sexy and charming, but he was a bad boy through and through, untamed and wild.
I should have run away the moment he walked up to my table. Instead, I let myself be seduced by his soulful dark brown eyes and a body made for pleasure.
I thought I could be safe if I kept our time together anonymous. How wrong I was.
Fate has a way of giving people what they deserve, and it seems to think I should have a chance to make him suffer.
Now this good girl has to decide if she still cares for that bad boy she met in the islands or wants to exact her revenge.

So do you like Fantasy, Romance or a bit of both?? then this fantastic book is definitely for you! This extremely talented author brings her imaginary worlds to life so vividly for us her readers, that you’ll truly be drawn into the Magical realm of Aurelia and believe you are really there with Clare seeing and feeling everything that’s going on right along with her. Chapter after chapter I was drawn more and more into the story so much so that I just couldn’t put it down.

I was not sure about this book but it sounded interesting so I decided to read it. I am so glad I did. I could not put it down!!! Moira goes to the town of Allenville to look for her twin sister, Claire, who has disappeared. The town seems like any ordinary town until Moira stumbles on some information at the local library. Could the town really be the home to aliens? This is such a good mystery book that had me loving the characters and the plot.

Along with a great story, Frelick delivers well-developed characters. It’s easy to get lost in Moira’s search for her sister and curiosity as she learns more about the community in which she seemingly vanished. It is equally easy to feel Seth’s internal conflict as he decides how to handle the situation keeping Moira from seeing more than she should. Sci-Fi usually isn’t my cup of tea, but the characters and fast paced plot kept me interested and ready to read the entire series.

The Queen's Dance: A Sizzling Slow Burn Fantasy Romance (Heart & Hand Series Book 2)The Queen’s Dance: A Sizzling Slow Burn Fantasy Romance by Nicole E. Kelleher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Heart and Hand series and is a brilliant addition to the series. From the first book, I knew to expect strong characters and a unique story but this book really surprised me with just how true that was. I loved Lady Claire and the whole journey she goes through. So much seems to be stacked against her and to see her fight against it all was amazing.
The connection between her and Trian was so captivating. It was not a typical start for them and so much seemed to stand in their way. I couldn’t wait to see how everything – characters and story – would turn out in the end. I was not disappointed.

Taste of Honey (Taste of Honey Series) by Julie Castle – Review by Kerry Carr

Taste of HoneyTaste of Honey by Julie Castle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is 4 book in the taste of honey series. This contains 3 books which are romance stories around the Dom/submissive type of relationships. Each story is unique and they are all steamy reads.

The gift.

In this book we meet Penny and Victor. After Penny recieves some very saucy gifts from a secret person she goes to the hotel to find out who is actually behind them. Little does she know that this meeting will change her life in a huge way. When she discovers it’s Victor all her dreams and dark desires come true as he introduces her to the world of BDSM and the pleasure/pain involved in being a submissive. Will Penny submit and finally experience pleasure she could never imagine was possible or will Victors role as her master push her away?

The Commander’s Club
In this story we meet Courtney Fox. She is a journalist and when her young apprentice goes missing while looking into a slave ring she knows she has to find her and the only way to do that is to go undercover.
FBI Agent Ty Dragon is also undercover trying to bring down the slave ring. He is acting as a slave trainer however in his personal life he likes his women submissive to him. After so long alone he gives up meeting anyone to fit that role until he meets Courtney. When they are together sparks fly and the more he teaches Courtney about submission the more they realise they could actually be the perfect fit for each other.

Once In Love
In this story we meet Laura Brooks. She finds herself in a tricky situation when she is stranded in Paris with no money to her name. When she is approached to become a courtesan she isn’t exactly thrilled by the idea but needs must. When she is brought at auction by Nick Renault she learns so much more than she ever thought possible including the art and pleasure that can be achieved by being submissive.

All three of these reads are very steamy and certainly points definitely made me blush when I was reading them in public. All 3 stories are different and unique and very enjoyable.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lost Hollow by Donna S. Frelick is my first read by this author, and I was thoroughly entertained. I’m not usually into sci-fi books, but Donna did a great job of writing an intriguing book. This story was filled with twists and turns, and quite honest a little bit of conspiracy was added in… which was a plus! We are introduced to Moira, who is on a chase to find her sister, the last time Moira heard from her was from Alienville but Moira has a feeling that not all is well. Moira has been working hard and is beginning to wonder if she is putting herself in danger by searching for her sister. Everywhere that Moira turns and thinks she is on the right path to finding her sister, her efforts turn into nothing but a blank lead.
Moria is introduced to Seth, the Chief of police along her path in the search for her sister Claire, but quickly finds that Seth may not be on the same mission that she is. Seth is trying his best to distract Moira to keep her safe, but he quickly finds that he has feelings growing for this woman, now he has some difficult choices to make.
Moira finds herself with some unfamiliar territory with her growing feelings towards Seth and feels like her efforts to finding her sister are going nowhere. What else will happen for Moira on her journey to finding her sister Claire, will she be successful in her search, will her and Seth grow into something more? The only way to find out is to pick up a copy and read for yourself! Donna, good job on writing such an entertaining book, I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the Alienville Series!

Just as they are getting closer to revealing their love for each other, Trian is attacked and Clair is taken across the sea. Wow! What a wonderfully unique and well written story! I had no idea what I was getting into with this one, but I’m so glad I picked this one up!

The author crafts a story full of action and suspense m, as well as a little romance that keeps you turning the pages—it really has everything. The content is so unique and the characters are likable and the story is told from multiple points of view, which I loved. On her way to visit her sister, Claire ends up in a strange small town, Allenville and isn’t heard from again—her sister Moira goes to find her and things aren’t as they seem. Will the secrets of the town be discovered? What happened to Claire?

This was my first by the author and I’m so pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed this story. Run to pick this one up! I’m looking forward to the rest of the series!

This is book two of a fantasy romance. This story involves lady Claire and her love Trian
Lady Claire has a unique ability of being able to tell the future of others. These vision episodes are triggered by touching other people and sometimes land her passed out on the floor which is rather embarrassing for her family so she wasn’t often in court and was stressed the entire time she was. She is looking forward to finally going home after supporting her sister when she ends up kidnapped as they thought she was her sister.
Caught in a foreign country and trying to get free her kidnappers realize her abilities and seek to use them to their own advantage. Claire must overcome so many things and stand up, be strong, overcome plots and intrigue and outsmart everyone around her so she can get free and back to the one she loves. Claire really grows as a character in this story and makes her a heroine you can’t help but fall in love with.
This book is well done with intricate details, well developed characters and a heroine to root for. I definitely stayed up late reading this one!!

Taste of Honey (Taste of Honey Series) by Julie Castle – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Taste of HoneyTaste of Honey by Julie Castle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is made up of 3 short stories. The Gift, The Commander’s Club and Once in Love. All 3 are super fast paced Dom / sub or ( new to sub ) stories. Of course people have their favorites.
The gift is about a sweet librarian who starts receiving gifts from a secret admirer. There is a note in one of the gifts, to meet him at a hotel room and she actually goes. She has no idea who she is going to meet but Penelope goes anyway and when she finds out it’s none other then Vlad from the library she doesn’t know what think. She takes to her new sub role quickly and this one is very steamy.
My other favorite which I think was the best is The Commander’s Club. Courtney decides to go in undercover trying to find out what happened to her friend. Luckily she is assigned to Ty as her trainer. Ty is actually
Undercover as well but he’s a Dom in real life so he has no problems taking on a sub / slave to train. Ty and Courtney have off the charts chemistry but Courtney is so far from obedient that she can blow her cover and Ty’s very easily. Ty doesn’t go easy on her in training and gives her everything he would
Give any one he is training. After her training she is to be sold to the highest buyer but, Ty plans to get her out before that time comes. Ty and Courtney develop feelings for eachother im the short time they are together and don’t get to say goodbye before Courtney is rescued. Will Ty and Courtney see eachother again? This was definitely my favorite out of the trio.

The three stories follow the same storyline, a submissive woman meets a rich, dominant male and we join the women as they learn about BDSM. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Heart and Hand Series. I have to admit I was captivated by these characters from the start. This author does an incredible job of weaving a tale of romance, adventure, danger, magic, revenge and everything in between. Once you start reading this book you won’t be able to put it down until the end.
I would recommend reading these books in order as they do follow on and to get a complete understanding of the politics that are at play you would need the background from the first book.

The main characters in this story are Train and Claire. Their connection is instant and they want so much to be together, but kidnap plots, an attack on Train which leaves him for dead (or is he) and the customs of Trains family and upbringing are the small things keeping them apart.
Can they work their way through all of the obstacles against them in the hope for a happy future or will forces against them prove too much for them to overcome.

I loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one. The stories are so captivating that I completely lose myself in them and their characters. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

The Queen’s Dance (Heart & Hand Series Book 2) by Nicole E. Kelleher. This is a awesome fantasy romance that politics, history, wildlife, topography and much more in it. This is the story of Claire younger sister of Anna who is not giving her heart away easily. Even though she has been guarding her heart she does fall in love with Trian. Claire is a strong woman and when tragedy strikes we find out exactly how strong she is. While the story focuses on Trian and Claire it tells their story separately as well. Trian is so in love with Claire and he helps her learn the ways of his people. With different traditions and rules Claire is trying to learn as much as she can but she is focused on getting back home. With details that make you feel as if you are in this realm, you won’t want to put this book down until you find out the ending. It is a second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone.

Taste of Honey is a compilation of three very steamy, erotic stories- The Gift, The Commander’s Club and Once in Love. If you enjoy spicy heat at nearly every turn of the page, you should definitely give these three fast-paced stories a try. Each story features a woman who finds her way into the arms of a sexy, dominating male. But there is a lot more than simply sex and submission taking place. There are evolving feelings growing under the surface- intrigue, trust, lust, love. I felt each character really brought something unique to their story. It may not be my usual type of story to pick up, but I would absolutely read more by this author. I loved Julie’s writing and ability to be so in-depth with her descriptiveness and characters, while keeping the story moving along at a quick pace!

Moira is on a chase to find her sister, the last time she heard from her was from Allenville but not is all it seems. Searching out the Police Chief Moira starts wondering is she in danger pursuing her missing sister but she has to get to the bottom of it even if every turn ends up a blank.

Seth is the Police Chief in charge of keeping the peace between the two elements which live within the town but when Moira comes into his life looking for her sister Claire knowing exactly what might have happen, he tries to help and guide off Moira so nothing happens to her like almost all the others but with his growing feeling for this woman he has a tough decision to make.

I am not normally a science fiction reader and this is my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. This story is full of twists and turns with hints of conspiracies with mystery with danger intertwined.

The characters of Moira and Seth work well together as a duo and there interactions are brilliant within the story and there chemistry is off the charts and with the secrets and lies which are uncovered will there friendship survive.

This is a well developed story with a dark undertone and layers upon layers that as you get deeper into the story you start peeling back and more then appear which has you not being able to put the book down.

I will definitely look at reading other books by this author in the future.

I enjoyed the story being written in both povs. Naomi Valkyrie made me feel connected to the characters and had me hooked from the first chapter. It was a really good love story without the X rated, in your face love scenes. I would highly recommend this book as well as this author.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. I enjoy her writing style as well as her attention to details that made her story pop. This is a well written story that is a romance suspense story. Maria is in search of her sister and Seth agrees to help. What happens next is something you don’t want to miss. They are great characters that have a strong connection. They have great growth throughout the story which makes it easy to read and entertaining as well. Their story is fast paced, engaging, and hard to put down. This is one story you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed reading this story and I highly recommend it.

Unexpected Heros by Naomi Valkyrie is a M/M Romance. This is the second book I’ve read by Naomi, and with how much I loved that one, I knew i had to read this immediately. The characters were lovely, Elijah and Jude were so refreshingly written, and Griffin was just a treasure. I also want to mention, the cover art is what really drew me in, and then I knew it was a must read when I saw the authors name! This book will definitely keep your emotions running high, and definitely worth the read!

Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I first read the story Unexpected Heroes when it was part of a collection of short stories entitled Saved by the Everyday Hero written by thirteen different authors. One of my favorite stories in that collection was by one of my favorite authors, Naomi Valkyrie. Her story entitled Unexpected Heroes is a M/M Romance that centers around the characters of Elijah and Jude. Elijah moves in next door to Jude with his infant son. When Jude sees Elijah struggling late one night to soothe his baby and get him to sleep, he offers to help. From there a friendship grows as Jude helps Elijah unpack, runs errands for him, and helps with the baby. Both men have troubled pasts that each has been struggling to overcome in their own ways. Through their friendship they learn to trust, to love again, and they work together to overcome challenges that come their way. The friendship between them grows and blossoms into more over time and the two find their soulmate in one another.

So cute! An adorable book! Some crazy twists and turns, but so fun to read. The characters are warm and relatable, and having a child in the book is so cute and entertaining.
