This book is about second Chances. Well written and catches your attention from the start. Very good book.
A Vampire in Disguise is about Hazel, who is a Goode Witch, is searching for her fellow magical sister Willow, since she has gone missing.
The book starts with Hazel’s journey to Shadow Hollow, for which she has been sent an anonymous letter stating that Willow could be in danger, and her touchstone is enclosed. Something that she will not leave behind.
We follow Hazel, as she arrives at Shadow Hollow, a place where magical beings are accepted and live freely within the commit, much to the shock of Hazel, that has always been told not to draw attention to herself or the witching community. So, to be able to talk and practice freely, it is something she battles to get used to.
However, she does not know that there are people that collect supernatural creatures and could therefore add more problems to her already problematic visit.
Whilst she is searching for her sister, she meets people on the way that will not only become very good friends but would also help her in the search for ger missing sister, as well as giving her the clues she so desperately needs.
One person she meets will not only become a grand alai, but a great link towards Willow and the secrets that has been kept hidden from her sister, which will blow the case wide apart.
This book got me hooked immediately, the fantasy of the magical creatures set alongside a mystery of why Willow went missing, to the romance that lay ahead for Hazel, which is something she was not expecting.
If you love Vampire reads, this is a total must! Such an easy read, with several twists and turns and events that will keep you reading! Would recommend.

I have enjoyed reading many books by this author. This book is a second chance MM romance which I don’t always read but I really enjoyed this story. Elijah and Jude meet each other when Elijah is trying to calm baby Griffin so they can get some sleep and be ready for Elijah’s first day at his new job. Jude ends up helping calm Griffin. As Elijah and Jude get to know each other, Jude notices weird things happening around Elijah. Great world building by the author with a mix of mystery, new friendships, new jobs, and even Jude finding a reason to live again.
Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is an intriguing story. Elijah and Jude both have painful pasts that they are trying to deal with. The two men develop a tentative friendship and when Elijah is in need Jude is more than ready to help. As the two spend more time together emotions began to come into the picture. Jude is a good man and will do what he can to keep Elijah and his son safe. Their story moves at a good pace and has a nice mix of drama and emotions. It was nice to see the way their friendship developed and deepened into something more.

I loved this modern young adult take on the Red Riding Hood story. It was well-written and kept me intrigued from page to page. This can be read as a standalone but there are links and nods towards the first book in the series.
The Queen’s Dance: A Sizzling Slow Burn Fantasy Romance by Nicole E. Kelleher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Book 1, Wild Lavender hooked me. I had to know more and see what would happen with Claire. Book 2, this book. Most definitely didn’t see the plot twist. Talk about a roller coaster of emotions from chuckling at some of the banter to my heart racing at times. The journey that Claire had to endure and become stronger from it was heart breaking and hopeful. Not to mention that she still had and won the heart of her beloved. Truly masterfully written and beautifully done. Definitely recommend reading.
The Handshake Agreement by A. Akinosho
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The Handshake Agreement by A. Akinosho is a age gap/ rekindled and second chance love story.
I really wanted to enjoy it, but had a hard time with this one. It is easy to read; however, the lack of punctuation, incorrect phrasing, run on sentences and a litany of other grammatical errors did make it difficult to follow at times.
Without giving spoilers, the plot twist at the end was completely unnecessary and really detracted from the original storyline. Seemed rather disjointed. All this aside, I did have some issues with the leads: the MMC was heavy-handed, stalkerish and obsessive. I’m all for a touch-her-and-die, but this wasn’t pulled off.. for me at least. The FMC was meant to come across as independent and take no nonsense from the man who is used to having his way- which was supposed to be part of the appeal behind his love interest- but it fell short. She had these conversations in her head on how she was not going to let him just have his way. When the actual conversation took place, she resisted and stood her ground-once. Then immediately acquiesced. I feel like both could use some character development.
Overall, it was ok, would not recommend.
The Handshake Agreement by A. Akinosho
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Handshake Agreement by A. Akinosho follows the story of Annie and Declan. Though he has promised his father, through a handshake agreement, that he will marry the woman of his fathers choosing, all that changes when Declan meets Annie. Annie is a friend of Delcans younger sister and he will stop at nothing to make her his. This book contains many themes including a possessive, alpha male; stalking; and an age gap. I’d say this is a good book if you enjoy those themes. There’s definitely some major twists.

Unexpected Heroes is a MM second chance romance, By Naomi Valkyrie. I have read books by this author and was excited to get this one and definitely was not disappointed. It is extremely well written and keeps you wanting more. This book brings you so many emotions and the characters are fantastic. The main characters are strong yet broken. I became very invested and read it in one day. You won’t regret this book one bit.
Master Romano by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is the fourth book in the Masters of the Consulates series, and what a ride it has been so far! Master Romano is in quite the predicament in this book. If you haven’t read any of the previous books in the series, you may be a little lost. It is possible to read them as standalones, but there is a lot of backstory that is continued from the previous stories. I will read paranormal anything, but this book has checked off so many boxes in my must-read list. Vampires and witches aren’t the best of friends, but when a witch named Raven is around Romano, a vampire, things are a little different. I don’t want to give anything away but know that the plot is absolutely amazing with the ‘we shouldn’t energy between these two. If you are looking for an incredible vampire romance with dramatic suspense, look no further. Give this book a chance and you will definitely be running back to pick up the first few books in the series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This may just be my favorite by this author so far! The Masters of the Consulate series has been absolutely phenomenal only three books in. I definitely recommend reading these in the correct order as they do build upon each other. There are details in the previous two books that are important for this storyline as well although I’m sure it isn’t impossible to read them as a standalone if you’d like. The character development in such a short amount of time is unbelievable. Angel and Trentino have a very interesting relationship. Angel ends up between a rock and a hard place with the decisions that must be made. The plot is solid and unfolds at a quick but natural pace. If you are looking for a dark, fated mates vampire romance, don’t pass this one up!

What an incredible second installment of the Masters of the Consulate series! This was a wonderfully steamy read with the plot continuing from the first book. I do highly recommend reading these books in order as you may find yourself quite lost without the previous explanations. Delilah and Christian have an unexplainably strong chemistry that you can feel jumping right off the pages! Delilah is quite a strong FMC and I found her relatable. Christian wants to protect her and when push comes to shove, will he do the only thing he can to save her? I am truly excited to see where this series is going as I absolutely love the tropes and characters so far. If you’re looking for a paranormal romance that you can read in an afternoon, definitely pick this up! Don’t forget to get the first book in the series as well to get the full experience.

Lost Hollow: A Small Town Science Fiction Romance (Alienville Series Book 1) by Donna S. Frelick. This is the first book in this series and I can’t wait for the 2nd book. This book kept me busy flipping pages until the very last page! I loved it! Its the story of Moria whose twin sister Claire has gone missing on her way to visit. She has vanished without a trace. Moria is left empty handed at every turn and everyone in town is helping her. The cute Chief of police is also helping, Seth Call is the chief and he has a pretty good idea of what happened to her sister. Its the same weird things that happen in this town but its very hard to explain to someone not from there. The chemistry between Moria & Seth is sizzling and throw in a little Sci Fi and you have got a Romantic Suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A M/M romance. Elijah is new to town and is a single dad to an infant son. A troubled past seems to have followed him and leave it to his moody neighbor Jude to find a way to protect Elijah and even Griffin. Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie is a MM Romance that once you start reading its hard to put down until you’ve finished it. I’ve read several books by this author but this one is honestly my favorite yet. I first read this story when it was part of an Anthology so I knew I had to have it. I loved the characters, they are purely the heart and soul of this story. My emotions were all over the place with this story. Elijah and Jude both have been hurt and are trying to move on in their own ways. Elijah has Griffin his son to take care of . Things are about to change when he meets their new neighbor Jude. This is a short story but is fast paced. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Elijah Fox, along with his son Griffin, move into town for a new job and most importantly a new start. At a particularly low point for Elijah he meets his new neighbor, the enigmatic Jude Carvossa. Jude feels an immediate connection to Elijah and his son but will his demons prevent him from pursuing Elijah? When Elijah’s past catches up with him will Jude be able to save him and his son?
This is my first time reading Naomi Valkyrie and I really enjoyed this book. It flowed well and was a quick read but it didn’t lack anything in the story or characters. I always enjoy reading dual POV. The angst was real but wasn’t overwhelming to the story. This is definitely a must read and I can’t wait to check out more from this author!

Donna has become one of my go to authors since I discovered her way back when. I wasn’t to much of a sci fi fan until I started reading her work. Now I get so excited when I see a new book. One click and it is in my hot little hands.
Lost Hollow is a compelling small town Sci Fi suspense romance tale and could be my favourite book of Donna’s so far. This complex vividly rich story has been cleverly woven together. There are many moving parts and multiple layers. I am not going to tell you anything more because it is so good you need to head in and peel back these layers to reveal the prize underneath.
This gripping tale is full of danger, violence, suspense, intrigue, conspiracies, mystery, beings from other worlds, war and rivalries. Engrossing doesn’t even begin to tell how good this story is.
This amazing series is really Sci Fi at its best. I need more now and can’t wait for the next book in this new series.
Moira is determined to find her missing twin sister and finds herself in Allenville but it is not just a normal little town. Nothing is as it seems. No, it holds secrets that others don’t see. Will she find her sister, or will she become another mystery to be solved in this town?

An enjoyable and engaging M/M Romance which introduces us to Elijah and Jude, who meet when Elijah and his baby son, Griffin move in next door to Jude. Jude helps out with the crying baby one night and a friendship develops between the men, and despite both of them having troubled pasts they can’t deny their chemistry or their instant connection. When Griffin is in danger both men are determined to save him. This fairly short story has plenty of drama and suspense which kept me hooked throughout. The chemistry sizzled off the page between the likeable Jude and Elijah and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate this beautiful cover….
Unexpected Heroes by Naomi Valkyrie is a wonderful MM romance woven around two damaged souls who are drawn together by fate. Elijah (a single dad new to town) and Jude (a security operative with a broken heart) both stole my heart, right along with baby Griffin.
This was such a sweet story but packed with emotion, danger, and intrigue. The slightly paranormal twist elevated this story to a whole other level for me, and was quite cleverly done.
Ms. Valkyrie has imbued her story with so much emotion, and though it may only be a short story, it packs the punch of a much longer novel. She made me cry, more than once- the story really touched me- I was so invested in the outcome, on the edge of my seat in parts, as I followed along to ensure everything worked out in end.
Looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next.
Happy Reading…
Thank you, Naomi Valkyrie!

Where love is found in the most unlikely of places. When one man’s past rears its ugly head, love will have to take a backseat for the safety of him and his son.
Starting over is the right thing but why does it feel so lonely. Once broken by lost love now a sexy new single dad mends his heart, and he will do everything he can to save the man he now loves and his son.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I normally am not into SciFi stories but I picked it up because it’s from Naomi Valkyrie! I will read everything she has written or will write! Her style makes it so easy to be sucked in from page one and get so attached to the characters, no matter how short or long the book is. This book was no different. Leilphun has escaped authorities on his planet and come to Earth. He is found unconscious by Kasper, a mafia boss trying to take over two major families. Can he use Leilphun to help accomplish his goals, or will a budding romance hinder those goals? I would recommend you reading this short story even if you’re not typically into SciFi or crime boss stories.
