The Sweet Temptations Trilogy (Sinful Delights) by L.M. Mountford – Review by Shannon Fowler

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy (Sinful Delights)The Sweet Temptations Trilogy by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holy hotness! This trilogy is so hot! It was a quick naughty read for me and I really enjoyed it!

There are 3 situations in this trilogy involving Richard, his wife Alice, their babysitter, Rebecca and Richard’s boss’ daughter, Scarlet. All adults of various ages and positions in life. All three situations are considered taboo-nothing illegal but situations that are usually kept secret. In a society of monogamous hetero relationships, this author takes these characters into a world of lifestyle choices that look more like fantasy. All four characters discover things about themselves but especially Richard.

However it was something about Alice that stood out to me the most:

“She was just her. Alice Martin. Mother, wife, teacher, that was all and in that order. Everything else was no one else’s business.”

Looking forward to reading more about this group of people and anything else this author may write!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First time reader of author L.M. Mountford and I’m amazed at how good the writing and storytelling was. Going into reading these stories I expected it to be a little spicy but what I got was ALOT of steamy erotic scenes. The author writes passion so well it will have your heart pumping🥵😍. Although I wasn’t a fan of the whole cheating thing but the last book kinda makes up for it 🤣 All three books were all short and quick reads, each about seven to eight chapters long. Alice was a badass, loved her kicking ”someone’s” ass.
Looking through the rest of the titles by the author, it looks like there are some really good hot stories to read .

Warning – might cause spontaneous combustion. This trilogy is well named with sinful delights. No one is innocent. It is a super quick read but very descriptive. When all the little temptations build up it seems that Richard and Alice can’t help indulge in them.

Nadine, our main character is a boss! She, like many of us, is prone to making poor decisions. The juice bar is doing great, until Nadine is hit with some incredibly irritating news that is detrimental to her business! Her ex-boyfriend/partner in the juice bar has caused chaos to their business venture. In the midst of the breakup, a decision to confiscate his personal trainer takes a huge turn! I personally enjoyed Book 2-even though I did not read book 1. This is one you won’t want to put down-it is definitely a realistic must-read!

I’ll Love You Tomorrow (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 3) by Julie Navickas – Review by Julie Johnson

I'll Love You Tomorrow (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, Book #3)I’ll Love You Tomorrow by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This trilogy comes to an end featuring Mavis, Josh, Austin, Casey, Lauren, and Mitch. Lauren, Austin, and Josh are all siblings, with Josh and Austin being twins. They were born into a wealthy, well-to-do family. Mitch and Mavis are also siblings having grown up bouncing back and forth in various foster homes. Casey is Mavis’s former room mate from her Chicago days.

This book focuses on the relationship of Lauren and Mitch. They’ve been married for 7 years but things aren’t going so well for them as of late. Both strongly desire to have a child but things just aren’t working out that way for them. Communication is a core issue that they face, or more like lack of communication.

Mavis and Josh recently married and have just learned that they are going to be parents. This puts even more added stress on Lauren and Mitch but it’s not their siblings’ fault. How will this ultimately affect their relationships?

I strongly recommend reading this series in order, however they can be read as standalones. Reading them in order will give you a better context on the relationships between all of these people and will make some of the dynamics much easier to understand. While this trilogy has come to an end, there is a teaser at the end of this book that another character is getting her own story. I look forward to reading that one!

I Loved You Yesterday (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 1) by Julie Navickas – Review by Julie Johnson

I Loved You Yesterday (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, Book #1)I Loved You Yesterday by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In book one of this trilogy, we are introduced to Mavis, Josh, and Austin as the main characters. Josh and Austin are twins from a fairly wealthy and well-known family. Mavis and her brother Mitch grew up bouncing from foster home to foster home.

Josh and Mavis were designed to be together from the first time they met. One day Josh wakes up to find Mavis is gone. He doesn’t hear from her for over ten years. His brother Austin has heard from her though and he’s known her the whole time.

This book involves a love triangle and secrets galore. Will the right guy win in the end? I’m still a bit conflicted as to how this one turned out. I’m not sure that the right guy did win but, since I’ve read the other books in the same time frame, I ultimately know it was the right guy.

I Love You Today (Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 2) by Julie Navickas – Review by Julie Johnson

I Love You Today (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book #2)I Love You Today by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In book 2 of this trilogy, the story of Mavis, Josh, and Austin is continued. Casey is introduced very briefly in book one and this book focuses much more on her, along with the aforementioned.

Austin is a successful lawyer and he’s just witnessed the demise of his “true love” when his twin brother Josh proposes to Mavis. When he goes to Chicago to help Mavis pack up her apartment, he meets Casey, Mavis’s roommate. He’s heard some about her but she’s heard a lot about him. It’s pure torture to Austin to help with this task but maybe Casey can make it more interesting.

When he returns home, Austin is called into the office of his law firm. He’s being asked to head up the new Chicago location and by doing so, it could lead to him making partner in the firm. What better odds since he’s really been missing Casey since leaving Chicago. Can this work out in his favor?

This was an enjoyable read for the most part. I do recommend reading this series in order to know the history in these characters, as it plays a large role in the overall story. I was getting a little tired of the pet names for the girls though. Duchess, Princess, and Peaches got to be super annoying afterwhile. I feel this took away from the overall story. The first couple of times it was endearing but then became overkill.

Unexpected Entanglement (Book 3 of the Echo Series)Unexpected Entanglement by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
Unexpected Entanglement is the third book in The Echo series. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and this one is no different. I like that CR has intertwined the characters throughout the books. This is probably my favourite of the three.
This heartfelt and fun love story will have you falling in love with the characters, Rowan and Chris. I also enjoyed their back and forth banter. The supporting characters where great too.
There is tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion and humour, danger and suspense, pain and emotions. This is a great read and I was hooked from the word go.
This is a captivating tale and I liked the fake relationship trope and all that comes with trying to keep things straight. What is supposed to be a simple wedding turns out it is anything but……. Are lives in danger? You will have to read to find out.
I am looking forward to seeing what comes next from CR.

5 stars
I’ll Love You Tomorrow is the third and final book in the Trading Heartbeats trilogy. I suggest reading the other two books in order as the characters intertwine even though they could be read as standalones. I have loved all the books but I loved this book the most. They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas OR does it?
Finding your one at a young age comes with dreams and fairy tales. Then real life comes with adulthood and sometimes reality is not what it seems. They thought their love would be forever and maybe it is but over time responsibilities and little things slip in until they become too big to bear.
I really felt for the characters, Lauren and Mitch they feel real with flaws and all.
This heart wrenching tale will leave you feeling a little raw and emotional when everything around our female MC is falling apart.
Life wasn’t meant to be like this. Everything she holds dear is slipping through her fingers. With nothing to lose she puts it all on the line. Let the chips fall where they may. What happened to make it all fall apart?
To know what happens you will need to read for yourself.
I really enjoyed this trilogy and know you will too.

This is the third and final book in this trilogy and it is just as good as the previous books. The journey these characters go on is such a moving one. I liked the fact that we got to see the struggles there were going through after their marriage. You don’t always get the “behind the curtain” look into characters I think it added to this story.
I think this whole trilogy has been really well written. They have been captivating books, emotional and have some amazing characters in them. I have fully enjoyed each and every book and I am looking forward to reading more of this authors work. I would definitely recommend this trilogy as well.

Your Trainer Says Hi! (Vengeful Vixens Book 2) by Indie Sparks – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

Your Trainer Says Hi!Your Trainer Says Hi! by Indie Sparks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Your Trainer Says Hi! is Book Two in the Vengeful Vixens Series. The story centers around Nadine who has recently opened up a juice bar with her boyfriend of six months, Heath. When Heath withdraws all of the money from their business account to invest in a sure-fire MLM scam, Nadine is both devastated and furious. She tells Heath that he is to pay all of the money back but in the meantime, she figures that she will take over his pre-paid personal training sessions as partial revenge for his treacherous act. Nadine refuses to allow her ex to break her and decides that she needs to bounce back on her feet right away.

Nadine’s only intention when going to see Heath’s personal trainer is to take away his beloved trainer from him. However, when she sees Wick her body betrays her with other intentions. Trying to shrug off the attraction she tells herself that she is only there for the workouts. It seems that not only does Wick notice that Nadine is attracted to him, but he enjoys the affect he has on Nadine. The two of them exchange sexy banter back and forth as Wick puts Nadine’s body through the wringer in the gym. When he invites her back to his place to soak and relax her muscles in his hot tub the sexual tension builds and before long Wick is putting Nadine’s body through the wringer again.

I loved this book and was hooked from the first few pages. I could not stop laughing out loud at the witty banter and jokes between Nadine and her BFF Oakley. I laughed so hard that the tears started when I read the scene where Nadine confronts her ex, Heath, about the MLM scam he invested in. My husband actually looked at me and asked me what was so funny, so I read a few pages to him. The scenes were so vividly described that I felt as though I was watching a movie as the scenes leaped off the pages.

The characters were relatable and lovable. Seriously, the friendship between Nadine and Oakley was epic. The jokes they cracked kept me in stitches. Oakley was there to act as a calming agent for Nadine when she needed it and help her pick up the pieces of a broken relationship. Heath was a character that you loved to hate because he was such a dimbulb and showed no remorse over his actions. Wick seemed like an arrogant jerk but ended up being a sweetheart. Nadine was smart, feisty, and unstoppable no matter what life threw at her. This book had wise-cracking friends, witty banter, revenge plots, betrayal, sexual tension, passion, unexpected romance, BFFs, and manipulation.

Your Trainer Says Hi! (Vengeful Vixens Book 2) by Indie Sparks. This is such a fun series and every book I’ve read I’ve loved. This is Nadine’s story and she seems to be doing great. She has her own juice bar and life is good until she realizes that her soon to be ex Nathan has stolen all of her money to put into a hair brained scheme. Her best friend tells her she should seek revenge but Nadine has no idea what to do. Wick is Nathan’s personal trainer so she decides she will steal him. He’s hot, he’s handsome and he’s full of himself. He thinks so highly of himself that Nadine and he butt heads 100% of the time. The tension between them is off the charts but some of that may be sexual tension. The more time she spends with him the more she wants him. Once Nathan finds out that they are involved he makes Nadine’s life even more difficult! Will Nadine’s business survive her ex and will she and Wick make a go of their relationship. Read this fun filled romance to find out!

His friends and family are trying to help but he has dived head-first into work and isn’t coming up for air. That is until he runs into Natalie. At the time Natalie is working a city job, trying to find answers to save her families legacy back home. They go back and forth at each other till the tension between them just SNAPS.

In the worst of times, Mitch finds himself in the arms of the enemy. Thankfully, Lauren’s brothers step in and encourage both Mitch and Lauren to look at their relationship one more time before throwing it away. Savage Lies (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Bethany Rollins

Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1)Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Riley returns to Santa Monica and Hidden Valley Academy, the same place she met Cole, their dream kiss moment never forgotten. Cole has also never forgotten the little thief he met a year ago and now she returns transformed into a new look, but he feels the connection not knowing they are the same girl. Cole is still angry at his father over the death of his mom, which lead him to torment Riley and mark her as his alone. As his hostility grows so does his desire to truly claim Riley as his own.

This is so far a great series and I’m ready to jump into book 2. I am hopeful Riley will step up to her independent and fierce spirit we only seen glimpses of thus far. I also cannot wait to see how Riley and Cole will continue to grow together. The suspenseful overtones that Riley and her mom have set up adds to the drama of the story and keeps making you wonder when safety will be shattered.

I would recommend reading the prequel prior to starting this book. It’s not necessary but it is beneficial in not getting held up on simple questions and getting more background on the main characters.

After reading the first two books in the Echo Series, I was excited to read Unexpected Entanglement. Once again, C. R. Alam did not disappoint! This book had wonderful characters: Rowan Kelly and Chris Sullens. When they meet, Rowan realizes that she could use Chris’ help with her inn; but small island community living easily sparks rumors-meaning the two will have to pretend to be a couple.
This novel has a lot to offer, with well-written characters, romance, suspense, and humor. I recommend reading the first two books in this series, but Unexpected Entanglement could be read as a stand- alone.

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy (Sinful Delights) by L.M. Mountford – Review by Kerry Carr

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy (Sinful Delights)The Sweet Temptations Trilogy by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a collection of 3 short but very steamy stories. This is a collection of stories that have action, lust, friends to enemies, secret fantasies and a feeling of why choose when you can have everything you want.

The babysitter- This is the first story and is an age-gap romance. We do however meet all the characters that are in the following stories during this time as well.
Here is where we meet Richard and his wife Alice. Their marriage has got a bit boring and uneventful since the birth of their son, so when Richard finds out the babysitter has a thing for him and she makes moves on him, he is unable to resist. Giving into temptation and allowing himself to get lost in the arms of another women is only the start of his adventures.

The boss’s daughter- This is an enemies to lovers romance. We are back with Richard who has been tasked with a case to crack by the bosses daughter. After Scarlett catches Richard and the babysitter up to no good in his office she decides she is going to use this against him to get what she wants. Namely him. However things don’t go as she had planned and when she loses her dominance over Richard she awakens a side of him that she never knew existed before. Maybe Richard isn’t such a push over after all?

Menage A Trois- This is the 3rd book and wow what a way to end this set. Alice knows things need spicing up a bit in her marriage so she sets out to surprise Richard when he returns home and boy does she do that.
When Alice hears screaming from her neighbours( the babysitters) apartment she rushes to help. After taking Rebecca away from her abusive father she comforts the girl and listens as Rebecca spills her soul. Including the fact that she got intimate with Richard. Alice is angry and wants revenge so she plans to play Richard at his own game. But what happens when Richard returns home to witness his wife and lover together? Will this be a happy ending for them all? Or will this be the final straw that breaks their marriage completely?

This Contemporary Romance has it all. Even though Rowan and Chris tried to fight their emotions. Fake or not things still went from business to wholly hot. Rowan is strong and independent and even though she had a lot to accomplish with her sister’s wedding, she was determined to get it done. Chris on the other hand was not expecting to help out. So now that he got himself in hot water. How will he get himself out of the emotional rollercoaster he jumped into? Will Rowan see herself clear or will she too jump into the rollercoaster? This author left nothing out. Her writing is easy to follow and your emotions will be out of control. She really has a way with words. This story was right on, in the romance series. I can hardly wait to read more from this series. See where the author takes us next.

Unexpected Entanglement (Book 3 of the Echo Series)Unexpected Entanglement by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This author knows how to create amazing, relatable characters. Even though Chris Sullens is a famous entrepreneur, he can talk to and relate to a small hometown community. From the main characters to the smallest of characters, the author puts an immense amount of personality into each of them as if you have known them for multiple series. In this case we have known Chris, but not to the extent in which we now know him in this novel.

This book is a tale of two love birds that struggle to express their opinions to each other but wear their hearts on their sleeves. The story of Rowan and Chris pulls at my heart strings and I was rooting for them every step of the way. Frustration, anger, lust, and happiness are all emotions that play major roles in this novel and I highly recommend you pick it up! There is a small amount of love scenes in this book which I appreciate because I do not enjoy complete erotica novels. It is easy enough to skip over those scenes as well. I sincerely cannot get enough of this author!

Unexpected Entanglements is the third book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This is a contemporary romance with a fake relationship element, an unexpected entanglement, chemistry, sizzle, emotion, angst, love, loss, grief, a little drama, danger, finding love unexpectedly, fate, banter, and more.
Chris Sullens is about to have his world turned upside down when he not only finds himself offering to help plan a wedding out of the blue, he also can’t deny the connection that simmers between the stunning innkeeper/wedding planner and himself. But things take a very interesting turn when he then agrees to play her (fake) fiancé. So, get set as the sparks fly, chemistry sizzles, and things start to go awry. What happens definitely makes for an engrossing read.
Happy Reading…

I’ll Love You Tomorrow is the third book in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy by Julie Navickas. OK, sooooo after reading the first two books in this trilogy I wasn’t sure Ms. Navickas would be able to keep the momentum going and match the impact of her first two wonderful books…. but I should never have doubted her because this was every bit as good as I could have hoped for, and more.
This is Mitch and Lauren’s story- and what a story they have. Past history connects them – lives entwining since they were children. But that’s not to say that it was all smooth sailing- as rough seas seem to hit them when Mitch begins to withdraw. This causes hurt and confusion. Adding pressure to their relationship. When a fire destroys Lauren’s restaurant that she had poured her energy, heart, and soul into- she feels like her life in crumbling before her eyes. But she’s not ready to raise the white flag just yet- and has one last ditch gamble – So…. Ready. Set. Vegas! What ensues makes for a captivating read!
Again, Ms. Navickas hit me with an emotional walloping. Her characters are so well developed, with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. They are so ‘real’ and believable. It was easy to relate to them- I was connected and invested in them and their story.
This was a bit of a bittersweet read for me as on one hand I was excited to get my hands on the next instalment of this fab series, but on the other I was a little sad as this is the final book in the Trading Heartbeats Trilogy and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet, or maybe ever…… But I am excited to see what Ms. Navickas might have in store for us next!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Julie Navickas!

They pull you into their world from the start and had me coming back for more. I enjoyed watching their growth and their chemistry just as great to see. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. A story where a simple favor turns into so much more for these two characters. You don’t want to miss what happens next. This the third book in this series and they only get better the more you read on, all the books can be read as stand alone books as there is only a small thread of background which runs through each character. I loved the chemistry which jumps off the page relating to Natalie and Grayson, with also the fact they are both hiding a secret in there past just adds to the overall arc of the story.

The story was well written and draws you in with the twists and turns as you delve further into the story on the page. It was also lovely to see the relationship between these two characters blossom in too respect and love in the end. With Grayson, understanding the relationship between his uncle and why this is such a betrayal that he had to try and understand and piece himself back together was brilliant to read.

I definitely can’t wait for the next instalment of this wonderful series.
