Right in Front of You: Volume One Brinley and Adrian (Morris Valley Gang)Right in Front of You: Volume One Brinley and Adrian by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable storyline and filled with memorable characters. The story has ups and downs that kept me interested and turning pages. The characters are plentiful and fun. The rancher and the gunslinger are the two main characters who have a wonderful story and their chemistry is off the charts! They each come with a gaggle of friends who all have different personalities that make me excited for their stories.

Overall this is a wonderful new start to this series. It is exciting, romantic and suspenseful. I look forward to more!

Savage Lies (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Megan Conley

Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1)Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 1st book in the Hidden Valley series and we pick up about a year after the prequel. While it’s not necessary to read the prequel, I definitely recommend it because it does provide key information that will help you understand what’s going on. Cole doesn’t remember Riley (but there’s just something about her), but she remembers Cole. I really loved how Isla Vaughn develops her characters and the plot line and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book! This is an enemies-to-lovers, “bully” romance with some darker themes that may trigger some people. *Ends on a cliffhanger*

Operation Escape (Space Force Rejects Book 2) by Landra Graf – Review by Mary Espinoza

Operation Escape (Space Force Rejects Book 2)Operation Escape by Landra Graf
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my second read by Landra Graf and like Operation Pinpoint, this book did not disappoint. Operation Escape is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series, and just like Operation Pinpoint it is a unique and original sci-fi tale with a little bit of everything. I definitely suggest reading the first book in the series because I feel that you would be lost without doing so because quite a bit of the storyline and characters intertwine.
There are experiments, DNA altering, loyalties being tested, and so much more that you won’t know who can be trusted and who cannot.
To me, the characters of the crew have kind of a Guardian of the Galaxy feel, there’s the heroine that tries very hard, a science experiment, and some aliens. The variety of characters gives the book an interesting feel and makes it even more entertaining.
What started off as a simple mission ends up leaving Sera and Markus fighting for their lives on an unknown and hostile planet.
Believe me when I tell you that this new world is full of action, plenty of danger, and what’s good story without some adventure and romance. This is a book that should be given a chance because I promise you won’t be disappointed, like I said earlier….read the first book!

Right in Front of You Vol. 1 Brinley and AdrianRight in Front of You Vol. 1 Brinley and Adrian by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this romance story. It is a very sweet small town romance which has an element of danger. It is the first in the Morris Valley Gang Series.I loved the characters and their development through the story. The author does an amazing job of making the characters likeable and relatable. The feelings and emotions of this story really come though and you can’t help be swept away along with Brinley and Adrian.

Brinley leaves her home town and her circle of friends behind as a kid when her parents move her to Texas. Since they she has worked hard and has become a successful shooter. Now however she feels its time to return home, back to her friends and the place she always felt safe in and hopefully away from a stalker. All she is hoping is to reunite with her friends and go back to a quiet life that is until Adrian walks into her life.

Adrian is a local rancher. Every since he got his heartbroken he keeps to himself working on his family ranch and not entertaining love until he meets Brinley.
As the connection grows what starts as a fling has the potential to become something more for them both, however danger is still lurking in the shadows and when Brinley’s stalker returns Brinley is in danger again.

Can Adrian protect Brinley from this danger? Will Brinley stay with him and her friends despite the danger or will she feel the need to run again and in doing so break Adrian’s heart.
The connection between Adrian and Brinley practically jumps off the page and their attraction is what captives the reader with the added danger this is definately a romance that you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait to read more.

This is book 1 in the Hidden Valley Elite and I have been WAITING for it! I read the prequel first and could not wait to get my hands on this one! You don’t have to read the prequel but it gives a good amount of nuance that this doesn’t go into. In this book Riley and her mom have moved, again but mom is determined to stay in this location. Her mom starts dating a new guy and it’s Cole’s dad. Cole and his brother a livid that their dad is dating already after the loss of their mom and while he is attracted to Riley (who he doesn’t remember meeting), he is not about to let her mom and his dad be together. All Riley wants is to live her life as normally as she can but that won’t happen if Cole has anything to do with it!

Wow I managed to go straight into book three of this series and I was not disappointed. <br />Again we find the characters from the previous 2 books all making appearances as Chris finds it is his time to have his story told. Rowan needs a knight to step up and be her partner in a fake relationship.<br />There is certainly chemistry, and the well written banter between the characters that I have come to enjoy from this author. The story is interwoven with the previous stories (as with His Forever Muse book 2 in the series).<br />The author continues to give us romance with a twist, angst and emotions. I feel that it can be read as part pf the series or as a stand alone. Personally in the series you get to see the bigger picture and get a full feel for how the author builds their worlds.

What a well written contemporary romance with a twist on the trust issues that come along with great friendships and non-traditional families.<br />Dean entrepreneur with a history that ensures he does not open his heart to anyone, and Rae solo traveling writer who has history too. <br />They meet under coincidental circumstances and then the sparks fly, but neither of them will admit to it. The question is can they move forward without visiting their pasts; accepting each other’s lives, family and friends. <br />They both go their separate ways only to be brought back together, trust issues, and character flaws make this book a really interesting read. The character development finds one making the move whilst the other backs off then the tables are turned in a true yo-yo of emotions. <br />Emotional and heart-warming the world built by the author has room to evolve into a wider story involving other characters.<br />

Rowan Kelly and her family are enjoying refurbishing their family farm and Inn. With her brother Kieran running the farm and making it a success, the building work is going along on the Inn which is her domain. When one night her Dad decides to divulge a secret which rocks the family but also leaves Rowan and her brother in limbo.

Chris is visiting the Farm and Inn which Rae has been informed that she has a third in, but that her siblings are just getting over the shock of her arrival on the scene, so as Rae’s friend he offered to scope out the Inn and see what is going on.

Once Chris arrives he is instantly drawn to Rowan and with things mysteriously going wrong at the Inn and trying to cater for Rowan’s cousin’s wedding, can they find the saboteur and making the wedding a success in a matter of weeks. All trying to juggle Rae arriving and a fake engagement, you will have to delve in to find out.

I love this series and was waiting for Chris’s book as he has flitted in and out of the past two books you don’t really get to the bones of the man until this book. This can be read as a stand alone book as the author does reference some information from previous stories which enhances and adds information to this story.

I loved the chemistry between these two characters and that at first they were prickly to each other but as they got to know each other you are just willing them to believe they are meant for each other. I loved the secondary characters and would love to read Kieran’s story in the next book.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rowan has inherited her family’s inn and wants to prove herself worthy. What better way to do that than to plan an amazing wedding for her cousin?!? Even though the inn might not be fully ready…and she doesn’t quite have the staff she needs…she (begrudgingly, at first) accepts the help of a stranger.

Chris comes to the island on vacation, and as a favor to a friend to check on the inn. What he doesn’t plan on doing is helping to plan a wedding and pretending to be the fiancé of the inn’s owner. He also doesn’t plan on the intense attraction the two have. But, when things start to get crazy, will Chris and Rowan be able to work together to get to the bottom of it?

I was really rooting for these two. This book has so much going on…love, loss, grief, drama, banter, angst, fake relationship, sabotage, healing…the list goes on and on. The author does such a good job at keeping you guessing til the end and making these characters feel so real. As the third book in the series…it can definitely be read as a standalone. However, C.R. Alam leaves lots of little gems in this book that refer to previous books in the series. This is a good book that I enjoyed reading.

Lauren has everything a girl could ask for, her own restaurant, and married to her best friend Mitch. The two got married in Vegas and had wonderful years together after the Honeymoon, and then out of nowhere, Mitch starts acting distant, and Pier Ninety-Two is barely getting by. When tragedy strikes and a fire burns down Pier Ninety-Two, Lauren pulls up her bootstraps and gets to work in saving her restaurant and her marriage. She hopes that a trip back to Vegas will help jumpstart everything back again and that Mitch will be back by her side, once again. This second chance story was very sweet and you could see the love the two characters had for each other within the pages. It was a wonderful conclusion to the Trading Heartbeat’s trilogy, and I loved reading each page of it!

In this second book we Have Austin from book 1. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but there are somethings that I feel that would make a lot more sense if the reader read book 1 before reading this book. That being said! Austin in this book in the beginning was heartbreaking. He tried to win over the girl but in the end, Mavis chose his brother Josh. Right then you want to give this man a big hug for the big feelings that he has to sort through. Deciding that space is needed between him and Mavis, he decides to go to Chicago where he meets the lovely lady named Casey. Casey is everything that he isn’t. She is his exact opposite, and he absolutely loves it. When an opportunity comes up, that could take him back to California. He must choose to give up Baseball, or lose his girl that he loves dearly. Like the first one, the story draws you in and gives the characters life. It’s beautifully written and I was not disappointed!

This is a great read and a great series. Unexpected Entanglement is book 3 in the Echo Series, and I highly recommend reading this series as characters are tied in throughout the book, and I would have to say this while I loved all the books this would be my favorite story. I loved Chris and Rowan.
Spark, sizzle, fake relationship with banter, secrets, suspicion, drama, unexplained “accidents” and healing.

Chris Sullens, planned a vacation spot in Vinalhaven and a bit away from work as a successful hotel owner…but upon coming onto the island, he meets a fiery, Rowan Kelley. Chris’ plans also including to help out Rowan and her brother Kieran with their Inn, especially coming from experience….but this help at first comes with much questions and push-back.

Rowan wants to prove she can run her family owned Inn successfully…she is so determined. Things change unexpectedly with a loss, but it does not deter Rowan to fulfilling her family legacy and keep the Inn going. When Chris Sullens shows up to help, with at first hesitation, she ends up learning so much more. Rowan is determined more than ever to have the best wedding for her friend at the Inn…but when strange things start happening at the Inn…..will Rowan be able to have the wedding that she planned for her cousin be successful while working with Chris as they also navigate their feelings?

This is such a fantastic read, I highly recommend! This story gave me all the feels as I devoured each page and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Rowan Kelly has inherited an inn and she’s super excited to host her cousin’s wedding there. Everything has to be perfect and beautiful for the big day. Rowan can handle just about anything that is put in her way but having an extra hand or two never hurts!

Insert Chris Sullens. Chris is a well-known hotelier who is more than happy to dig in and help Rowan make this wedding the best ever. What he didn’t expect is the role that he’d be asked to play in order this wedding to go off WITH a hitch!

This is probably my favorite book of this series so far! There is an overlap of some characters from previous books (it was good to catch up on them!) but this book can be read as a standalone easily. I look forward to seeing where this series continues to go!

I’ll Love You Tomorrow is book three in the Trading Hearts trilogy by Julie Navickas. I have enjoyed this trilogy and this book was probably the best. Though I really loved Austin’s story! Mitch and Lauren have been together since they were in school. They have been married for 7 years and it seems as though their whole marriage is over. They do decide (with the help of their siblings) to give it one last chance. Are things really done for good? Or will they be able to rekindle their relationship. If you’ve read the first two books this is a good ending. Though there is a particular someone who no one likes that Id be interested in getting their own story just so they’d leave the Templeton family alone! But that’s for another book I hear!

Dawnbreaker: The House of Blood and Sun, is a Fantasy/Paranormal Romance. The world created for this series is fantastic and I truly can’t wait to continue following what this world has to offer in future books in the series. The romance wasn’t overly complicated like so many others in this genre. I really like the time Thorne took to add backstories and give the reader a full immersion into the world they created. It’s a must read for anyone into Fantasy/Paranormal Romance.

The author really knocks it home with this one! Two previous storylines wrap up in this book. I really like how a former plot that was only so-so resolved, became well and truly resolved. Characters that have previously been on the bench, so to speak, get brought up to bat in this story. The author gives nods to history, with a famous detective agency, as well as bicycles, and the still-new automobiles. This book features a strong female protagonist, and loving family/chosen family bonds.

Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1)Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is a continuation from Savage Start so definitely start there. Teenager Riley and her mother are con artists. However, it seems that mom has had a change of heart. She insists that this is the real deal and that Riley can be a normal teenager. Riley isn’t sure of anything anymore. Including the attraction to Cole.
Teenager Cole is considered the high school’s elite and he’s the football star. Everyone wants to be with him or be him. Cole is typical in that he is mad at his parents and the world. However, Riley enters his world and things are a little more interesting but why all the lies? What is the truth about her and her mother?

This story is a really good teen angst story. Everything seems like the end of the world. They know it all. Noone loves them. Parties, football and hatred for the parents. This author seems to know teenagers.

I am left with questions as this story ended on a cliffhanger. So I am looking forward to reading the next story, Savage Truth.

Our leading man was no let down either. I was instantly drawn to their chemistry. I felt their attraction. I knew without a doubt that this story was going to leave me wanting more, and it DID. I want to live in this world. I want to befriend these characters. I need to visit the Inn and befriend that townspeople. C.R. Alam has done an AMAZING job of creating a place you WANT to be, and I am here to tell you, I WANT TO BE THERE. Thank you so much for creating a world for us to get lost in.

Chris is a handsome and wealthy hotelier that finds himself entangled in a fake romance with sassy, beautiful Rowena that now runs the family inn. These two were so great together. When Chris Sullens ends up in town offering his help and to get a sense of the inn, she never expects it to be in a fake relationship. As they get closer though they find the chemistry is too much to ignore, what happens when they fall for one another.

Another great story from this author. Rowan is full of sass and I liked that the emotions for her and her sister were a bit raw, it fit with the plot. Chris is great, he has some swagger and the attraction between Rowan and Chris is undeniable.

Unexpected Entanglement
By: C. R. Alam

This is the third book in the Echo Series. This brings what readers of C.R. Alam have learned to love. A great plot, characters that feel like they could be someone that you know and some love.
Chris is such an amazing character. I love that he is a famous entrepreneur but he is able to come into a small town and really fit in and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Rowan has come into an inn and she is pouring her heart and soul into fixing it up. She is facing a serious deadline, the inn needs to be up and running before her cousin’s wedding.
Chris is a famous hotelier. His hotels are located all over the world. But being in this small town he knows how to get things not only done but done well.
What happens when Chris and Rowan’s paths meet? What begins as a fake entanglement may just become something more.
I definitely recommend reading this book and the others in the echo series. Each book is a stand alone but I wouldn’t miss a single one as they are all excellent.

Dean Rowland has sworn off women after being left at the altar by his fiancee. When the two inevitably meet, sparks fly. This was a very well-written story. The characters are real and relatable. The chemistry between Rae and Dean is amazing. I really enjoyed watching them build and navigate their relationship. I highly recommend this book.
