Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1) by Charlotte St. Pierre – Review by Crystal Jimmo

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)Taming Brooklyn by Charlotte St. Pierre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was fantastic to read. I love it when there are multiple characters vying for one main character and there is no having to choose. Brooklyn is a very complex woman. She has gone through some stuff and seen some stuff. She’s running from everything that makes her feel because it’s easier to handle In walks Aiden, Gideon, Oliver, Jaxon, and her world is about to turn topsy turvy. They push her boundaries and make her feel things she’d rather not feel anymore, and confront her darkest secrets. The chemistry between the 5 of them is undeniable and so well balanced out. There’s no favoritism, everyone has their balance and it works. Brooklyn’s story has kept me captivated and wanting more. I can’t wait to see what happens in book two and where the guys take her.

This book was much deeper and more emotional than I expected it would be when I first started reading it. I really found myself connecting with the characters and engaging with the overall storyline. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thought it was a great introduction. The story touches on things that feel like “real” problems which added a depth to the story I didn’t anticipate. I was routing for the characters the whole way through and wanted them to find their way. This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed and I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

This is book two in the Made in Heaven series. I loved this as much as the first book. Similar to the first book our 3 characters first meet in dreams as children. The FMC keeps people out of her life after she looses her mom in an accident but she can’t keep her men out, no matter how hard she tries. Luckily her guys don’t take the push back laying down and soon push past her fears for an hea full of steam!

His Forever Muse (Book 2 of The Echo Series)His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book left me in all my feelings. It addresses some tough topics but does it with grace. The main characters are pretty much searching their souls to have a more fulfilled life. They haven’t talked to each other in the last 15 years. Obviously a lot can happen in 15 years and this is their journey to see if they can find the love that they both desperately need. The book will get you feeling everything the characters feel. I highly suggest that you get a box of Kleenex’s and a good comfy soft blanket. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I sat down to read this book, but the journey it took me on was one of the best that I have been on in a while. There are the hurdles that the main characters have to overcome to be together. This only helps to heighten the love story that is between them. This is the second book in the series and it does mention the characters from the first which is a great little tad-bit that I fully enjoy. I highly recommend reading this series and even though the characters are mentioned from the first book, it isn’t necessary to read the first one to understand what is going on in this one. That being said, I would highly recommend reading the first one because this series is just that good.

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1) by Charlotte St. Pierre – Review by Angela Shirley

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)Taming Brooklyn by Charlotte St. Pierre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brooklyn Reeves is thinking of ditching her best friend for a quite night in as Clubs is really not her scene, but the more Ash pushes her she is succumbing to the idea, plus it is one of the hottest clubs in town Club 4.

Once inside she feels eyes upon her not in a creepy way but a sexual chemistry kind of way until she is introduced to not but two good looking men, once on the dance floor she is covered with warm and trust with these two men and ask it becomes more intense she realises what she is doing and runs away in embarrassment.

Jaxson and Oliver are part of the “Club Kings” four brothers who forged a family from trust and courage not blood, but when they see the blonde walk in the club they are instantly drawn to her. As they have shared in the past this is nothing different but they have a deep feeling of protection for this beautiful woman, until she gets scared and runs from them. Week’s of trying to find her comes to nothing until one chance meeting may change there and the other brother’s lives forever.

They know she is hiding a secret but will they uncover it and can Brooklyn trust her attraction for all four of the men and will she let her guard down enough to live life.

This is the first book I have read but this author and oh my what a read. I always love a flawed character and this book had lots of them, the four men together have forged a bond of survival which plays into each character and shows each are loyal to the end for each other and there charges which was brilliant to read. I especially loved the character of Brooklyn with her visible and hidden scars which seemed to make her more determined to carry on with life even at times she struggled with anxiety but not letting it become her was a brilliant lesson to learn.

There are triggers in this book and if you are uncomfortable with aspects of mental abuse and stalking I may caution you alittle bit with the storyline, but overall the writing was brilliant it draws you into the story and makes you believe you are part of the world and invested in the characters as this is book 1 I can’t wait to get my teeth into the next instalment.

Made in Heaven series book 2. This book is almost as good as the first one. You do NOT need to read these books in order as the characters are totally different and not connected in anyway from book to book.
This book has cousins, Cameron and Reed and their dream girl (literally) Joselyn.
But will their love remain only in the dream realm or will they ever find each other?
The biggest thing in this story is that Cameron is psychic, How or will this affect their future together?
I recommend this book, it is full for hot steamy scenes, just a disclaimer though it is MMF and it is HOT.

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)

From the moment their eyes they see each other something changes and I think it’s for the better.

Brooklyn has her professional life in order, she is in charge for a large non profit. Her personal life is not nearly as in order. She has one close friend and a closet full of secrets.

The guys are Oliver, Jaxon, Gideon & Aiden the Knight Bothers who have built themselves into something impressive. They started with nothing but one another as kids, bow as adults they still have one another and so much more.

The sparks fly from the pages as you’re reading this book starting in Chapter One and the heat only continues to rise from there.

I already have the next book on my TBR and will be reading it as soon as possible.

The spice? Amazing. The plot? Fantastic. It’s a bit of a paranormal RH book, which brought an interesting element into the story. Cam’s visions with Jocelyn in the beginning really set the stage for the whirlwind romance. It’s a short, quick read. I think I finished it in about 2 hours. This book can be read as a stand alone within the two books in the current series, and I’ll for sure be checking out the first!

Jocelyn, Cameron & Reed meet while young in their dreams, not knowing if the others were real or not. Several years later they learn the truth and they know without a doubt they are soul mates.

Jocelyn was such a young lady when they first met and she dealt with a devastating loss, but her boys were always there foe her, until they weren’t.

Cameron and Reed grew up together and are family, they were always close but neither expected to be as close as they end up being.

The small details in the book really help pull it all together and make it an enjoyable read. Will definitely look for more of this series.

This book absolutely blew me away and I loved every second of it!! I haven’t read anything by this author before so I went in not expecting too much from the storyline, but WOW was I proven wrong! Brooklyn has been through a lot in her life and assumes that surface level relationships are all she’s worthy of. Little does she know that there are two incredible (and hot) men that are ready to show her that she has so much to experience and love about herself. If you love why choose romances with TONS of spice and steam, this is the perfect book for you! It has a great storyline, in-depth characters, drama, and did I mention steamy scenes? I just picked up the second in the series as I cannot wait to see what this marvelous author has in store for us next!

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)Taming Brooklyn by Charlotte St. Pierre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After reading the blurb of Taming Brooklyn I was still unsure what to expect with this book, I was most certainly not prepared for how involved I would get in this story, and how much I would really enjoy reading it. I mean I finished this book in one day! Brooklyn has a lot of scars because of an incredibly tragic and tumultuous past. She hides herself away and doesn’t enjoy life because she is utterly terrified and embarrassed until one night she agrees to go out dancing with her roommate before she leaves on a work trip and her entire world changes when she meets the Knight brothers. She is enamored with them and her life with them in it until her unfortunate past comes calling. Boy, was this book spicy and definitely shouldn’t be read by anyone under the age of 18 due to the mature content, explicit scenes, many triggers, and violence but it was so much more than that. When you start you are thrown directly into Brooklyns life now and you don’t know much about what has happened in the past but that is slowly remedied throughout the storyline. I’ve read a lot of similar books and nothing I have come across had such spicy, well thought out, tasteful content but followed along with an edge of your seat, nail biting, thrill ride of a story. This was such an enjoyable read! I can’t wait for more!

In following suit with the first book the in series, this book follows a new set of characters that can interact with each other via their dreams. Jocelyn meets Cameron and Reed. they first meet with Jocelyn is almost 13 and the cousins are 16. Over time, and numerous dreams together, they build a strong friendship. After a tragic accident, Jocelyn pulls away from the dreams and doesn’t dream about the boys for 6 years. Only now, they are all grown up and feelings of friendship begin morphing into romantic ones.
Fast forward a couple of years…Jocelyn is now a sought-after wedding photographer shooting a wedding on a cruise ship in Italy. It has been three years since she has seen the men in her dreams. Determined that she had made them up all this time, and falling in love with fictional characters seemed unrealistic, she keeps her distance. However, at the club on the ship, she finds herself face-to-face with them two men from her dream. They proceed to explore their relationship throughout the duration of the cruise. When they are back on dry land, they decide to give the relationship a real try. But there are forces set to tear them apart. However, they are going to have to band together and prove that love is strong enough…or they won’t last.
This is another good book in the series. I enjoyed the dream-walking paranormal aspect. I found it hard to like Jocelyn’s character at the beginning because she seemed flighty and came off as hot-and-cold. However, she grew on me as the book progressed. I liked how the boys always had her best interest at heart…even when she wouldn’t see it that way. This is a pretty quick and easy story that I enjoyed reading.

This is the first book in The Club Kings Series and wow it is hot! Brooklyn has a lot in her past that makes her not trust easily. She is just lucky to be alive after all that she has been through. When she meets The 4 Knights they are very much her knights in, well not shining armor but in well made suits. This is a why choose romance and I can see where it would be hard to choose between these 4 men. I can’t wait to read the next book to see what happens next.

Ocean’s Three (Made In Heaven #2) by Elena Kincaid – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid

Cameron Pompeo has always felt things more strongly than others, he trusts his intuition and on occasion has had inklings which are more than powerful, but he cannot control, or deal with them sometimes, the only thing which he can, is the appearance of a young girl, Jocelyn Parker who appears in his dreams and they get along better than he does with most other people. One night, his cousin Reed Pompeo turns up in his dreams as well and immediately, he can feel a connection between them, so pretty much every night, they spend time in their dreams building a deep friendship until Jocelyn is hurt in an accident which kills her mother and causes her to withdraw from them.

While Cameron and Reed try to manage without Jocelyn, she is buried under the weight of her guilt and the belief that she doesn’t deserve happiness and that the two boys from her dreams make her the happiest she can be, so she pushes them away and suffers more each day for it, but because they are only figments of her dreams, she will get over it, albeit deep down she knows that this isn’t right. In order for her to continue her self punishment, Jocelyn throws herself into existing day to day without them and continuing her life and Cameron and Reed try to do the same, but it is the hardest thing which they have ever had to do.

One day many years later, fate throws the three back together on a Mediterranean cruise where Jocelyn cannot run away and Cameron and Reed are determined to keep her close, so when they do reconnect, the passion and connection strengthens immediately, but what will happen when the cruise is over, will they be able to keep their connection strong, or will outside forces try to rip them apart? This is another steamy romance with an unconventional twist which will keep you hooked throughout as past, present and future collide to create a bond you hope will last.

Three Made in Heaven (Made in Heaven, #1)Three Made in Heaven by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maddie Sutton, Cole Mercer and Charlie Gilbert were just children when they met for the first time, they felt an immediate connection and started to play together and spend as much time with each other as they could, they had inside jokes and shared everything about their lives with each other and as they grew up, their friendship blossomed as well, the only problem was that the only time they spent together was in their dreams.

They all grew up and over time, their friendship developed into something more, but for years, they never acted on it, thinking it was all one sided and that they would have to make Maddie choose between them, but one day all of that changed and they showed each other just how in love with each other they were, but when Maddie starts to become upset and disengage from the two young men, she tells them that she can’t continue this if they aren’t real and are just dreams, so even though she hates to do it, she leaves their shared dream in floods of tears. This leads Charlie to have his doubts as to their shared reality as well, but Cole knows for a fact that they are all three as real in the waking world, as they are in the dreaming one and sets out to finally bring them fully together.

When they finally meet in the flesh, they can no longer deny their true feelings and their bond grows deeper and they know that they will never let each other go, but Cole and Charlie discover that Maddie is in danger, they will do anything to keep her safe, no matter the cost, but will that cost be too high? This is a steamy romance with triple the action and steamy antics throughout where threats loom, but a core of hope threads throughout which pulls you along on the adventure with them.

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a fun fast paranormal read about fated mates. It is similar to the first book in the series, with the main characters meeting and spending time together in dreams before realizing each other was real and meeting in real life. With that being the primary similarity between the books, they can both be read as standalone, though if you like one you are surely to like the other.

In this installment, cousins Cameron and Reed meet Joselyn in their dreams. Cameron, having always experienced paranormal and psychic phenomena, didn’t realize his dream girl Joselyn was real until his cousin showed up in the dreams as well. It’s then that he knows the three are meant to be a big part of each other’s lives. Despite knowing this, it’s years before the three meet in real life.

Much like the first book, I loved seeing snippets of the dreams throughout the years. This adds to the emotional factor that is mixed in with a whole lot of steam. This was a quick steamy MFM read about fated mates finding one another.

Taming Brooklyn
By: Charlotte St. Pierre

First of all, let me start by saying that this book comes with a trigger warning that definitely should not be taken lightly. However, having said this, I completely loved this story. I think it was very well written. It is super steamy and spicy for sure! I will say I was not expecting to be taken on this emotional roller coaster. I knew that this book would pack on the steam but I did not expect to have all the feels. Brooklyn is truly an amazing character who has overcome so much but who has also built up so many walls to keep herself safe. However, the walls she has built around her will never be tall enough, she just doesn’t realize this. She meets some amazing club owners who begin to convince her to let her guard down. Who also share a background not so different from hers. The truth is – she needs them and they need her. There is so much in this story that it is nearly impossible to put down until the very end and it leaves you wanting so much more!

What would you do if the two people you’ve had a crush on since you were children turned out to be real and not a figment of your overactive imagination?

Maddie, Cole, and Charlie met in their dreams as kids and have continued to meet in their dreams as they’ve grown up. Maddie, who has always felt out of place, longs for her dreams and the two guys she thinks she made up. As the years pass, these three become great friends who tell each other everything except the fact that they like one another. It isn’t until the nightmares start that their relationship moves into the real world. Will the three remain together or will something happen as Charlie and Cole vow to keep Maddie safe at all cost?

I loved seeing snippets of the dreams throughout the years and seeing how the guys took care of Maddie from the beginning really. I had many emotions reading this book. Brooklyn had worked super hard to get were she is at today. She had a very hard past. Her abusive ex is released from jail, now she has to watch every turn she makes. She meets Oliver and Jaxon while out with a friend. They happen to be donors of her business. The brothers have also had a rough past. Sparks start to fly the more she gets to know the boys. She also meets Gideon and Aiden, together the boys make the Four Knights. She relies on the of the boys to help protect her for her ex. The boys don’t mind at all protecting her. This book was not the story I was expecting to read, it was way better.

I loved the prequel and couldn’t wait to read more on Riley and Cole and the “Elites”. This book did not disappoint in the least!
We get all that comes with a bully book, and I enjoyed getting to know more about these characters.
Cole is obviously still hurting from the ending of the prequel but trying to move on with normalcy in his senior year and then add in Riley and it’s a mix of emotions that only high schoolers can have.

I will not give anything away detail wise as I don’t want to possibly spoil anything at all. I cannot wait for the next book as that ending had me trying to flip the pages that weren’t there.

With Fire and Sword (Thunder On The Moor Book #4) by Andrea Matthews – Review by Angela Hayes

With Fire and Sword (Thunder on the Moor, #4)With Fire and Sword by Andrea Matthews

With Fire and Sword is the fourth book in the Thunder On The Moor series by Andrea Matthews. It is a fabulous time travel romantic historical fantasy with plenty of adventure, action, danger, tension, drama, mystery, suspense, angst, and more.
Will and Maggie have been through so much, and just when their life seemed to settle- fate intervenes and turns their world upside down, again- requiring them to travel back in time again to try to fix things. What happens makes for an exciting read.
If you haven’t read the previous books, I highly recommend that you do before starting on this instalment, as there is a lot of important storyline and relevant information contained there that will better help you appreciate and understand the developments, characters, and other intriguing details.
Wonder where we go from here? Looking forward to more from Ms. Matthews.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Andrea Matthews!
