This truly was an intriguing and captivating read. Both the fantastic main characters, Chavez and Flynn, have secrets, past demons and an unbelievable chemistry with each other which all come together to keep you turning page after page. You simply have to know what’s next! This is the second book for this series and is where I started so I will definitely be going back and reading book 1 as well. My enjoyment of this book was not effected by not having read the first book but when an author gives us something so enjoyable why not read more!

This is one of my favorite authors and I never hesitate to read any of her books. This is part of the
Doctors of Eastport General series by many different author, and I really enjoyed this story of Frank and Barbara.

Frank is a well known cosmetic surgeon who takes an opportunity to be part of the new Burn Unit at Eastport General to make an impact and keep a promise he made many year ago to his mother. At first, Frank is a little distant and keeps to himself as he fights to move on with his past. When a chance encounter on an evening out and he meets Barbara, they did not see eye to eye at first.

Barbara is trying to make money while working at a bar/pub. Meeting Frank and finding out what his job specialty was, all she wanted to do is talk to him about issues she has medically. At first, Frank blows her off but as he has more of an opportunity to talk to her, his feeling change Not only does he want to help Barbara, but would like to get to know her more personally.

Will Frank help Barbara when she needs it the most? Will sparks fly between them?

This story is not very long, totally enjoyable and Frank and his past tug my heartstrings hard and love that Barbara gave Frank a second chance :).

The Challenger (The Hustlers Trilogy Book 2) by Rowan Rossler – Review by Kerry Carr

The Challenger: A Sports Romance Saga (The Hustlers Trilogy Book 2)The Challenger: A Sports Romance Saga by Rowan Rossler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in The Hustlers Triology. The characters are really well written. You can’t help but feel invested in their story and their romance. The author does an amazing job of giving us our character and then making them deep and realistic by evolving their backstories which make the people they are today all the more understandable and in ways relatable.
This story is about Flynn and Chavez.

Flynn is a professional coach and motivational speaker. If only her life was as positive and good as the lives she’s trying to create with her work.
Chavez is a talented tennis player who has a reputation of having a hot temper.
When a chance meeting throws them together there is no denying the attraction between them is electric.
However they are both working through their demons. Chavez has left his career, just upped and disappeared so when he plans to return he asked Flynn to join him as his coach to keep him motivated and focuses.
But how will that work out for them when their attraction becomes more and more intense. Will Flynn become even more of a distraction than a motivation? Will giving into their attraction spell trouble for Flynns already challenged mind? With both of them working through their pasts can they move forward in a positive way?
This is a great read about romance, taking a chance, fighting for what you want along with secrets which need to be revealed.

Ocean’s Three (Made In Heaven #2) by Elena Kincaid – Review by Megan Conley

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd installment in the Made in Heaven series and it can be read as a standalone. While Kincaid stays true to her paranormal romance MFM, the characters and setting are different. The basic plot line is similar to the 1st installment in such that Cameron, Reed, and Jocelyn meet (initially) in their dreams; however, the storyline and development of the characters does vary from the first book. I do feel that this book was more emotional than the first one and definitely brought a tear or two to my eyes. I enjoyed this book, but it’s definitely a niche that you want to make sure you’re into because it is a bit different.

This book gave me a softer Den of Vipers vibe. I really enjoyed it. Who doesn’t want the attention of four guys? Maybe scratch out the ex drama but every girl has fantasized about multiple guys giving her attention with no jealousy on their behalf. Taming Brooklyn will have you everywhere in your own emotions, falling for the guys, fearful of her ex, and worried about her future. I too like muscular forearms. Can’t wait for the next book in this series to find out what happens!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ve never been into tennis but really enjoyed the idea of it in this book. It had plenty to tell you about it but not too much to make you feel like you are dumb about the game. The Challenger had a good suspense plot, along with the romance and love story. There is much to follow in this story but it is very easy to read and follow.

This was a great story and I loved the main characters. However, I believe we could have seen a lot more growth from each one. I felt this story was too short. However, there wasn’t anything I hated. I just wanted more from these characters and I didn’t want their story to end. We get to see some growth from Jocelyn along the way, but I wish we got more of a glimpse into the men, Cameron and Reed. Overall a great story though, and I’d read it again.

The story of Flynn and Chavez is a bit of thrill, mystery and spicy romance. These two set of sparks that steam up the Kindle window just a little bit. They both have some emotional baggage that they need to deal with and that’s what makes this really kind of an exciting story. I enjoyed The Hustler but I think this story sure did give it a run for the money. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us with the final one in this trio.

The Challenger: A Sports Romance Saga (The Hustlers Trilogy Book 2)The Challenger: A Sports Romance Saga by Rowan Rossler

This book was amazing!!! It has everything you could possibly want in a book and then some. It has an intriguing story line that will keep you guessing about what is going to happen, what happened to who, and the best question is can they save each other. The characters of this book have suffered throughout their life. Being a professional athlete has it tolls and other things that happen in life all compound into the very best story. The chemistry between the main characters is amazing and the banter that the author indulges the reader on is spot on. It felt as though I was there listening to these people in real life. I did cry while reading this book so please make sure you are prepared. This book was so well written that every emotion the characters felt, I felt. This is the second book in the series but you can read this book as a stand alone and be completely fine. However, if you are like me you are going to want to read the first book because of the way this book made you feel.

The Cruiser (The Hustlers Trilogy Book 1) by Rowan Rossler
Genre – Sports Romance
Page Count – 311

Chavez Delgado should come with a warning label: Caution explosive material. A volatile tennis prodigy once tipped to win majors, this wildly unpredictable fan favorite never quite lived up to all the hype. So when he leaves the tennis tour without explanation during the best year of his career, no one expects him to grind out a comeback on the second-tier Challenger circuit eight months later.

I’ve met my share of hot messes. Call it collateral damage of being Flynn Dryden—motivational guru to struggling millennials. But I have never met anyone like Chavez. Young and yummy with complications written all over him, he pushes all my right buttons. But when he asks me to join him on tour as his mental fitness coach, I say yes for all the wrong reasons.

As it turns out, we both have unresolved issues.

And playing a game called love puts us both in danger of getting burned.

Ale’s Fair in Love and War by Sylvie Stewart – Review by Vanessa Watts

Ale's Fair in Love and War (Love on Tap, #1)Ale’s Fair in Love and War by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book had me laughing from the get go at the antics of Cash and Hollis. What starts as a prank war between the two side by side businesses turns a bit more serious when Cash’s brother Miller finds himself in the wrath of Hollis’ sister and father. Add to that a situation that is jeopardizing the business Cash decides to do whatever it takes to keep his business afloat even if it means help from his snarky neighbor. Meanwhile Hollis is fighting a guilty conscience in that she may have had a hand in the predicament of Cash’s business and offers help even if it is to alleviate her sense of guilt. Can these two ever find level footing or is the attraction to much to withstand and will drag them both under?

This is a hilarious, well written book that will go onto my list of books to be read often. I really enjoyed the snarky banter, the increasing tension, and the prank war that these two find themselves in. If you enjoy romantic comedies then definitely give this book a try it is well worth the read and I truly cannot recommend it enough.

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1) by Charlotte St. Pierre – Review by Kelli Harper

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)Taming Brooklyn by Charlotte St. Pierre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The men in this book are hot as sin. Oliver and Jaxon are playful romantics, Gideon is the strong, protector, and Aiden is the true Alpha, quiet, calm and powerful. Yet they all are enamored by Brooklyn. The thing I am not sure about is the title of this story. It says “Taming Brooklyn” like there is a D/s relationship somewhere in this story and there is not. This is a RH story and Brooklyn is a survivor of domestic abuse and is employed by a non-profit group that helps foster kids. The four Knight “brothers” own a club and they are investing in the non-profit. Anyway Oliver and Jaxon discover Brooklyn first and they are determined to be with her. In true brotherly fashion (well normal for these brothers) they share everything. This story does have instances and talks of Rape, violence, fighting, and graphic sexual encounters with multiple partners so reader discretion required. I however loved every suspense filled page and cannot wait for book 2 since this one does end in a cliff hanger.

I could not put this book down due to the characters. They had me in the first couple of chapters. The ending was awesome and I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

President Jack Amborn knew his job could get dangerous but he didn’t know how dangerous. He was on a trip with his wife and all of sudden he was blown off of his feet. Jack was devastated when he found out that his wife and unborn son were killed in an explosion. He is assigned to a special agent Ginger Caver to protect him because someone is trying to kill him. Jack doesn’t understand why someone would want him dead. All he wants to do is find out who did this to his family and why. Will Jack find what he is looking for or will it be too late?

Everything matched up perfectly in this book. The story was fantastic and the characters were just as good. This author is one that I have really cone to enjoy, so much that I don’t even read the descriptions to her book any more, I just pick them up. This series us absolutely brilliant and I can’t wait for the next book.

This one started out good and held my interest. Sadly it really went downhill after that. The relationship seemed rushed. Maybe more time spent on character building would have taken care of a few of these issues. She did not seem interested in him romantically but all of a sudden she loves him. Also there is a grand gesture at the end and I am just thinking..nothing was mentioned in reference to her liking baking.

I was very interested with this story due to the storyline. The author did an good job with Frank’s story. I did speed through this as it does have a nice flow.

The cliffy at the end almost gave me a heart attack but on to book two!

Oh my goodness this must be one of the best books I’ve had the privilege and pleasure of reading ! I laughed hard , she’d a year or 2 but more than anything I thoroughly enjoyed it , now I love reading like I need the air I breathe so when I rave about a book I really jean it ❣️😉

Hollis is the worst neighbour according to Cash but ask anyone else you’ll be told she’s loving , kind , nurturing and caring and the townsfolk love her and Hollis isn’t blind he can see she’s easy on the eye but the rest of him will catch up soon enough 😉

Now if you were to ask Hollis what she thinks of Cash she’ll tell you he’s an arrogant , brooding and HOT know it all 😉

Cash and Hollis were so much fun ! The teasing and banter between them had me in stitches but when the going gets tough , the tough get going and Hollis is all in to support Cash .

Both have loving friends and family which just adds to the “vibe” and the side characters were just as entertaining 😉

I enjoyed this read so much I had friends popping in on their tea break to be read to #truestory#everyone was hooked 😉

Shadow wolf was exactly what I would expect from a supernatural story. You get shapeshifters, vampires, and a human at the center of it all. Plus a bit of romance. There’s an air of mystery with this story and at the end you definitely have a lot more questions. Which is great because I prefer reading series. This is the first book I’ve come across by this author and I’m excited to read others.

Having read “ Faultless Love” I couldn’t wait to hear back to the people and town of Langston Falls ❣️it’s a place where people become family 😉

So Teddy and Robyn are settling in and preparing s for the wedding g are well under way .

Becky is approached by a production company that has seen her YOU TUBE channel and she heads to the bitty with big brother Walt to meet up with Elyse and the production company but things go south with some disposable behaviour from crew member and once a farm girl always a farm and home is where the heart is but there’s no hard feeling , quite the opposite actually ❣️😉

Glen makes an unwanted appearance but instead of gearing up for a fight the Bennett’s show grace and this is what really hit me and while I really loved Elyse and Walt what really got to me and meant so much to me is the redemption, forgiveness, grace and compassion that was shown and it’s just what my heart needed , there’s so much going on in the real world and it tends to drown me so this read really was soul soothing for me and it encouraged my empathic heart ❤️

I just love the Bennett’s and their family dynamics and the people of Langston Falls will leave you wanting to come back for more and I’m sure we will , Hank has a story he wants to share 😉❣️🙏

Right off the bat I was intrigued by the instant connection between Tamaska and Kodiak, despite both of them fighting the attraction. I had not read any other books by the author, but I greatly enjoyed the world she created with shifters, vampires, and humans. I loved how well written the characters were and how well they worked together. Tamaska was such a wonderful female main character and I loved that she was so strong, Kodiak was such a sexy shifter and his abilities made him a great leading male. The author did a great job of keeping me in suspense of what was happening and I couldn’t put the book down. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and see where the series goes.

This is my first book by this author and I loved it and the cover of the book is stunning. I am already anxiously anticipating book 2!! This story has drama, shifters, vampires, wolves and romance and I loved the names of the 2 main characters, Kodiak and Tamaska.

Tamaska is the lead whom has a Blood Opal up for bid and this may make or break on keeping her job. She has every detail planned out for this auction to happen, including the highly recommended security detail, but when plans don’t go accordingly, the Blood Opal disappears.

Kodiak is a shifter and part of the security detail that Tamaska hires to protect the Blood Opal. He stops at nothing to try to make things right when the Blood Opal goes missing on his watch and comes under much scrutiny, especially in the eyes of Tamaska. When Kodiak and his team find out that vampires might be the cause of the disappearance of this opal, it is a race against time to find it.

Tamaska and Kodiak butt heads at the beginning but it turns into this deep connection, all Kodiak wants to do is find this opal and also protect Tamaska. The Vampires are dangers and hold the key to the opal and they also have Tamaska on their menu. Will Kodiak protect Tamaska when she needs it the most? Will Tamaska find out what Kodiak truly is outside of being security detail? Will Kodiak and Tamaska find the Blood Opal so it does not stay in the wrong hands?

This story is great I really enjoyed the spark between Tamaska and Kodiak and both their character growth. I am so looking forward to book 2 to see what happens next!!

The banter, chemistry and steam is well written and it is told in dual POV which makes for a better connection with the characters. This is book #1 in Love on Tap series about the Brooks family but there is a novella with Denny and Rosie’s story which is worth checking out. Can’t wait for Carter’s book, Smooth Hoperator. A good start
The first book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series and we meet wolf shifter Kodiak and human Tamaska. It is a fast paced, dual POV story with a mix of action, romance, sexy times, paranormal, mystery and drama. The wolf/vampire aspect is well done. It ends on a cliffhanger and the reader is literally left hanging with unanswered questions leading into book 2. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Recommend.

Tamaska loves her job. That is until it all went down the toilet when she was hired to coordinate an event that showed off the priceless Blood Opal. Everything was going wrong. She ended up hiring a security team last minute that came highly recommended, but still had her doubts. The head of the team, Kodiak, was a stubborn and commanding man which instantly set Tamaska off because she was just as stubborn and commanding.

Instantly there was tension between the two so when the Blood Opal disappeared, Tamaska blamed Kodiak immediately.

Meanwhile, Kodiak is a wolf shifter and realizes instantly that something more sinister is at play. It appears that the vampires are behind the theft, they have also taken a special interest in Tamaska. She decides to try to find the Blood Opal herself causing more trouble. Kodiak is trying to keep her safe from a world she knows nothing about. However, his Alpha forbade him from protecting her. He thinks that they should just focus on the vampires. Kodiak wants to do both. He is oddly attracted to Tamaska and has no idea why. Will he be able to keep her safe while keeping her oblivious to the supernatural world right under her nose?

This book was very exciting. The book starts off with a bang and never has a dull moment. I loved both characters, even though they were very similar personality wise, they were also so different and seemingly perfect for each other. The book has lots of action and some steamy scenes as well. The book ends with a lot more to come. I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

Shadow Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 1)Shadow Wolf by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tamaska is a woman with a lot on her plate and the determination to succeed, as well as a clear idea of her path in life, however, when her latest venture goes terribly wrong, she is at a loss of what to do. Kodiak is a man with talent, not to mention that he is a wolf shifter and the second in command, but he has eyes on the top spot, however, when his latest job goes south, he is determined to make things right.

When Tamaska and Kodiak lock eyes the first time they meet, they can feel something smouldering between them, but they are more focussed on work than each other, no matter how hard it is to do, but when the unexpected happens, this connection they feel causes Tamaska to blame Kodiak for how things went down, but he knows he is innocent and is determined to find out the root cause of the failure. Tamaska is also determined to get answers, but when she follows a lead, she doesn’t realise the danger she is in, or that Kodiak will be in the same place at the same time and when one thing leads to another, they cannot deny their attraction any longer, but this isn’t the only dangerous territory they encounter, Kodiak is determined to protect Tamaska, even if she doesn’t want him to.

As Kodiak continues to investigate and finds out that the vampires are involved and that they are making moves which are unusual to their previous patterns and Tamaska is slap bang in the middle of it all, but when he reports what is happening to his alpha, he is given orders he doesn’t agree with and now knowing that he has to make a choice between Tamaska and his pack, what will he do and how will she react to that decision? This is a fast paced urban fantasy where difficult choices have to be made and the consequences dealt with no matter the costs and this makes it a steamy and action packed start to this series.
