Under My Care (Chase Care Book 3)Under My Care by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read this book in 24 hours. I absolutely could not put it down. I love Peter, he is tough and strong yet sensitive, and is always worried about everyone else. I will admit I haven’t read the other books in this series but I definitely will be reading them. I think this would make an amazing TV series, as I could not put it down. R.L. Dunn knows exactly how to pull the reader in from the very 1st page. The adventure, love, heartache, all the emotions are rolled into this book and you feel like you are standing right there in the room with them, very few books make me feel that way. I will be looking forward to more books from this author.

This is the second book in the Vengeful Vixens series. It definitely stands alone, as this is my first book I’ve read in this book. This is an amazingly fun romantic comedy with a revenge plot. Nadine is a strong business minded main character whos boyfriend and business partner definitely betrayed both her and the business by falling for some get rich quick schemes. She does what every good female would do go for revenge and find someone who is so good between the sheets. However when she finds Wick she finds so much more than she bargained for – in a good way. This is such a fun good book!

Just One Time

Abby turned 40. And as most females know the older you get the louder that biological clock ticks. And this is where this story really starts. Abby’s clock is ticking so loudly and all she wants is to have a baby. She’s done waiting for Mr. Right. She can do this on her own, can’t she? When her best friend finds out, Nate insists that he help. However he has only one rule. That they do this the old fashioned way. That really wont complicate their friendship, right? It only takes one time. But will once be enough? Or will the each want more?
This book was amazing!!! Abby and Nate were amazing characters and I really think that this was a really relatable story. I think that most women have a guy friend that they think would make an amazing father. But what would happen if they make that friend the father of their child? This really looks at this question in depth. I also think it was written so realistically. How they didn’t answer all the questions that they should have and how their decisions are affecting their friendship. I truly loved this story!

Braving Lily
By: Morgana Bevan

This is the fifth book in the True Platinum series. It definitely functions as a standalone. I have read a few others of the series but not all, they feature some of the same characters but each book has a focus on a different character.
Lily is a rockstar and Rhys is an IT guy. And they are about as opposite as they can get. Rhys has been divorced and his wife cheated on him. This makes him completely disinterested in anyone who plays games. This includes Lily. He finally agrees to meet with Lily and things go so well that they agree to go on a second date. What will happen once they admit all their feelings and intentions to one another. Can they look past their first observations and really get to know one another?
I definitely recommend this one. It is such a well written opposites attract novel!

Lily Tyler is the lead singer of the band Brightside. While she loves what she does, she is tired of the constant paparazzi and rumors that are often far from the truth. When she does a favor for her cousin, Lily finds herself auctioned off for a date. The only problem is the date never shows, she is a rock star and she has been stood up. Taking matters in her own hands she shows up at Rhys’s home demanding the date.

Rhys didn’t even want the date but even he cant deny she is beautiful. The coffee date goes better then he expected, Lily is down to earth and the more he gets to know the more he likes. Can these two find a happiness neither expected or will the outside world tear them apart?

I liked this, the date was fun because he has no interest what so ever. I enjoyed reading their journey together, it brought a smile to my face. Definitely will check out the other books in the series.

I have read a few books from this author and I was not disappointed. I really enjoy the steamy vibes that flow through the book. The author is able to create down to earth characters that really to draw the reader in and keep your glued to your seat. I really liked the revenge setting of the book and how it sort of backfired and the main character became smitten with the guy. I really couldn’t put the book down and I read it in one sitting as I get totally engrossed in the book. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and this series.

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1) by Charlotte St. Pierre – Review by M Policicchio

Taming Brooklyn (The Club Kings Series Book 1)Taming Brooklyn by Charlotte St. Pierre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was not prepared for this book. I was not prepared for the feelings, the drama, the excitement, the laughter, the pure enjoyment of reading this book. If you haven’t, you should definitely read this one.

Brooklyn has worked her way to a directorship at the nonprofit she started working for as an intern in college. She has worked hard to get where she is. Brooklyn is a survivor, the foster care system and an abusive boyfriend that nearly killed her. Both her job and her life become threatened when her ex is released from jail.

One night while out dancing with her friend, Brooklyn met Jaxon and Oliver but she didn’t know who they were. It is not like they exchanged names on the dancefloor. When Jaxon and Oliver show up in her conference room as new donors for the nonprofit Brooklyn works for, the fireworks start. Jaxon and Oliver are part of an elite group known as The Four Knights. The boys grew up together, having each other’s back in the foster care system. When they aged out of the system, they decided to make their brotherhood official, all sharing the same last name. Along with Jaxon and Oliver, there is Aiden and Gideon. This foursome brings some interesting challenges for Brooklyn.

When the threats turn more deadly, Brooklyn starts relying on the Four Knights for more than just friendship. As the feelings become real, Brooklyn is scared and runs. She only gets to hide for a short time before her ex gets brave and penetrates the sense of security Brooklyn had driving her back to the Four Knights. Aiden, Oliver, Gideon, and Jaxon have no problem vowing to protect her now and forever. But will they be able to when a traitor to Brooklyn emerges from the shadows?

This book had me on the edge from the beginning. The chemistry between Brooklyn and the guys is dripping off the page. The tension from not knowing when or where her ex will strike next is tighter than a guitar string. The raw emotion that seeps each character as they discuss their past could cause your eyes to sweat. I was not prepared for this. I was expecting a steamy romp through the NYC clubs, not an emotional driven, highly intense thriller but that is what I found. And I am sticking around for more. Bring it on! Now I am ready. Now I know. I am sure the author will throw some curveballs in the next one just to keep me guessing but I feel ready. If I didn’t say it before, this book was phenomenal.

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I enjoyed what she brings to her romance stories and the heartfelt characters that bring the stories to life. This book is part of the Chase Care series which I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help your enhancement of this author and her characters. This is a well developed story where the characters pull you into their world with ease. They are relatable and have great chemistry. They had me coming back for more and hoping for a happy ending. What happens when pasts collide, secrets that are hard to keep and what fate has in store for Pete and Rowena. They are great characters that made the story for me. I enjoyed how fast paced, engaging this story is. It made it easy and entertaining to read. I enjoyed this book and is one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book and this author.

They are short stories but they pack a punch with steamy characters. I enjoy how the author uses details to not only pull you into the story but also makes them realistic. Forbidden age gap stories that are easy and entertaining to read. Stories that are guareeded to heat up your night. I loved reading this collection and I highly recommend it.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. One of the things I enjoy most is her writing skills and her attention to details. She pulls you into the story with ease and keeps you there until the end. This book is no different. The characters are steamy, creative and pull you into their world with ease. They are relatable and add a lot to the story. A story about Delaney and Baz. They have great chemistry and a strong attraction. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout. What will happen when the Goddesses come calling on Baz? He has found himself making a choice of love or freedom. You don’t want to miss what happens. This is a fast paced, entertaining, hard to put down story that kept me coming back for more. I really enjoyed this romance story and I highly recommend it.

Lily, the famous Rockstar and Rhys, the quiet IT guy completely weave their way into your heart in this fantastic read. After standing Lily up and being confronted by her about it, it doesn’t take Rhys too long to realise he completely misjudged her. Their attraction soon develops and is steamy to say the least! I was completely drawn into their story and wanting their relationship to succeed. The author not only created wonderful characters but a fun storyline to keep you hooked right from the very start. Ale’s Fair in Love and War by Sylvie Stewart – Review by Darian Vester

Ale's Fair in Love and War (Love on Tap, #1)Ale’s Fair in Love and War by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Such a great story, I loved that it was lighthearted and fun read. Cash and Hollis’s pranks are hilarious, I felt an instant chemistry between them. I love characters that try to be their own person. For instance, Hollis has a rich stepdad who treats her like his own so she could easily live off daddy’s money but she’s working hard to make it on her own without their financial help. I do wish we could have had more interactions with other characters, especially carter. And maybe his mom but only because she’s a fun character and honestly, I’d probably be happy with a short story all about her being crazy, I loved the energy she brought to the book. She had me questioning the timeline when she had to return a Netflix DVD, I didn’t know you could still rent them.
I’m really glad this book had such a happy ending. Sure, Hollis kept a secret, but it wasn’t that big of a deal and she was helping Cash out anyway. I think readers who enjoy humorous romances with a few spicy scenes mixed in will really enjoy this book.

Braving Lily (True Platinum, #5)Braving Lily by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Braving Lily was a great 5 star read for me. Lily Tyler doesn’t chase me but when Rhys Jones stands her up, she refuses to let that happen. His mother won a charity auction for a date with Lily and Rhys didn’t even bother to show up!

Rhys is divorced after his wife cheated on him with his friend and he has no time for games. He sees Lily as an attention seeking person and wants no part of it. He finally agrees to have coffee with her and everything takes a turn during their coffee date. They actually set up another date.
Lily is scheduled to leave on a long tour in a few weeks but maybe they can have some fun together without any labels until then. Everything goes good until, it doesn’t. Rhys carries some baggage and always feels like he’s not enough. What will happen when all their cards are laid out on the table and they are both honest with eachother about their feelings? I thought the book was well written. Loved the characters and especially loved how Lily was with Sienna and any other fan she meets.

Doctor Frank Enstein (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King – Review by Moriah Venable

Doctor Frank Enstein (Doctors of Eastport General)Doctor Frank Enstein by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for a class a few years ago and now whenever I see a story inspired by or paying homage to it, I instantly want to read it.

Doctor Frank Enstein is a well known Plastic Surgeon but changes routes when an opportunity arises for him to have burn patients in his very own clinic, he accepts the challenge.

Not really a social person, he attends a gathering with some of his coworkers where he meets Barbara. She hopes that he will be able to help her with an issue she is having but changes her mind after he starts talking. He doesn’t make a good impression but later apologizes to her.

I’ve started watching a few Doctors and Plastic Surgeons on YouTube so to see a male main character in this profession was a breath of fresh air.

This story is a part of collection so it is very short but the author tells a beautiful and well written story.

Rogue is the sixth book in The Talisman series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. Baz discovers that a huge lie now overshadows his life path. As a rogue warrior he has been to hell and back and now finds himself in the centre of a supernatural battle with the highest of stakes and things begin to look grim. Delany is a talisman-warrior hybrid who has spent her life protecting the warrior community. Now not only has she been kidnapped, but she will also need to fight her fatal attraction to the ‘enemy’…. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mmmmm this is definitely the situation where once is never enough….

Just One Time is the first book in the Beaumont Creek series by Samantha Baca. It is a small town contemporary romance with a friends-to-lovers-to-parents element that had all the humour, angst, and feels that you could want in a story.
Abby’s hit forty and her biological clock is in overdrive. Her love-life is languishing. Her mother is meddling. And time is passing her by. She has loved him all her life. He’s her best friend after all. They’d never crossed the line of friendship- but an agreement, and one seriously hot night begins to blur the lines to the point of no return. Add a pregnancy into the mix and things take an angsty and intriguing turn.
I did like the story, but there were times that the writing/story felt just a little awkward. But this didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the book. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Happy Reading…

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Your Trainer Says Hi! is the second book in the Vengeful Vixens series by Indie Sparks. Ms. Sparks is a new-to-me author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But, I love a fun read and this looked like it could deliver all that and more.
It proved to be a very entertaining RomCom with so much to keep me entertain from beginning to end. This is a humorous contemporary romance with a revenge plot, finding love unexpectedly, opposites attract, chemistry, spice, dirty talk, self-doubts/self-esteem issues, banter, antics, friendship, ex issues, alpha-male type MC, and sizzling encounters. The book has got some serious themes running through the storyline that may prove to be a trigger for some, such as: mental health issues, manipulation, body image concerns, and self-esteem issues.
When Nade is betrayed and her life is turned upside down, she decides the best course of action is one of REVENGE. And so the fun begins….
I need to go back and read Book #1 now, as we get to meet Oakley who is Nadine’s BFF and apparently Oakley is the mc in “Your Boss Says Hi!- Book #1- so I just have to read what happened there. These two crack me up, and their friendship and antics are epic! I loved that even though this story focuses on Nadine and Wick, we get to meet/catch up with the mc’s from book one, too. But I digress-…. OMG- Heath, what a douchecanoe!! Like really!!! I sooo wanted to throttle him for Nadine lol. Wick on the other hand- one word…. SWOON!
Can’t get enough of this series… I’m off to devour the first book but also need the next instalment- STAT!
Happy Reading…

Braving Lily (True Platinum, #5)Braving Lily by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Braving Lily is the seventh book in the True Platinum series by Morgana Bevan. It is a fantastic rockstar romance with a sweet storyline, an opposites attract element, loads of chemistry, sizzle, grump vs sunshine mc’s, the nerd/boy-next-door gets the girl trope, second chances, emotion, angst, trust issues, and taking a chance on love.
This instalment could be read as a standalone as each instalment in the series focuses on a different couple. But having said that, you will probably develop a taste for Ms. Bevan’s work, as I did, and will definitely want to explore all the other instalments of the series, too.
A strong sassy rockstar whose love life has been news fodder has made her wary of love and skewed her view on romance and relationships. He’s been burned by love in the past and has no intention of getting too close to the flame ever again. What does a charity auction, a meddling mother, and a forced date bring to the mix? If you love contemporary romance or rockstar romances, then you will really want to read all the sexy, heart-warming details for yourself…
Bring on Book #6, Daring Ceri (due to release in August).
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Morgana Bevan!

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy: A why choose Age Gap Romance (Sinful Delights)The Sweet Temptations Trilogy: A why choose Age Gap Romance by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 Stars

The Sweet Temptations Trilogy Boxset by L.M Mountford contains the three steamy short stories in the Sweet Temptations series (so far). We delve into a tale of temptation that sizzles off the pages. A young babysitter, a married man, his Boss’s daughter, steamy encounters, his wife, secrets uncovered, and some erotic fantasies.
This brings forbidden liaisons, age-gap, romance with a why-choose element to the fore. L.M. Mountford succeeds in spicing things up with these titillating tales of temptation.
This boxset is a very quick and easy read and because each of the three ‘books’ is so short. It’s one of those collections that you can enjoy when your reading time is limited, because you can pick it up and put it down without feeling like you are left hanging.
There isn’t a huge amount of depth, or complex character development. But if you are after a little smexy in your life, then you’ll love what you find between these covers.
I know I say this every time I read one of this author’s work, but I really wish these stories were expanded more, so we got more depth and development to fully ‘explore’ the story and invest in the characters fully. I get what the author was trying to achieve- but I wish they were a little more ‘meatier’.
The Box Set contains:

The Babysitter: A Forbidden Age Gap Romance (Sweet Temptations #1)
Richard who is married with a lovely wife and young child- finds himself tempted by his pretty young babysitter. She has a huge crush on him and is very ‘flirty’- so he is having very lustful thoughts. Will the temptation be too much to resist?

The Boss’s Daughter: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Sweet Temptations #2)
This book is another story of taboo temptations- this time it’s the boss’s daughter. We met Richard previously when he was tempted by the babysitter- and follow him as he encounters this latest temptation.

Ménage à Trois – An Age Gap MFF Romance (Sweet Temptations #3)
This book follows on from the first two, this time bringing Alice, Richard’s wife, into the mix. She has found out about Richard’s dirty little secrets and is out to settle the score. With her own secret fantasies, can she explore her own desires and teach Richard a thing or two in the process? It could either make or break their marriage. This is temptation of a whole other kind- bringing lots of MFF sizzle.

Let the fun and games begin…
Happy Reading…

Thank you, L.M. Mountford!

Under My Care is the first book in the Chase Care Book Series by R.L Dunn. This medical thriller series is a bit of a spin-off from the Chase Security series, which I absolutely loved, so there was never any doubt I would be devouring this series too.
This third instalment brings an intense, full-on, action-packed medical romantic suspense- with nail biting developments, tension, danger, mystery, thrills, violence, thrills, agendas, secrets, angst, intrigue, chemistry, sizzle, dramatic developments, and more.
Pete and Rowena pull us into plenty of danger and secrets- throw in a blizzard, blistering chemistry, and a menacing enemy resulted in a compelling, multi-layered story that had me completely invested the whole way through.
I am thrilled to say that Ms. Dunn has once again brought her A-game, delivering another fantastic story. The series just seems to get better with each new release, and I can’t wait to see what the next book/s might bring.

Rogue is a Paranormal Fantasy romance and the sixth book in the Talisman series. There is a lot happening in this action-packed tale. It’s so easy to become immersed in this magical world. It is written in multiple POV which makes the story so much more interesting hearing from other perspectives. This unique tale has druids and mythology, gods and goddesses, supernatural abilities, magic, a curse, revenge, and good vs evil.
I enjoyed the colourful vast cast of many characters, but I really liked these two MC’s. They are badass characters they are interesting and face many challenges on the road toward something better. The sexual tension between these two is intense, steamy and sizzling.
Kieran ‘Baz’ Cormac, a warrior joined the wrong side he aligned himself with evil and is now facing the deceit and lies he has been dealt. Just when he plans to take down the enemy the one thing he has been waiting for and had given up on comes into his life. His Talisman.
Delaney has lived with the stigma of having a rogue in her family and everything that came with it. She has all but given up on finding the one. Now she finds that fate has given her a rogue as her fated mate.
I wonder what comes next from Tam.

I have not read anything by this author before reading Just One Time. This best friends to lovers’ romance tale is set in a small town of Beaumont Creek and we all know about small towns and over bearing families.
This story is full of humour, angst, family, longing and love. The story line is has a few moments where I wasn’t too sure but I muddled through and glad that I did. The characters are easy to like even though at one point I wanted to slap some sense into the pair of them but they got their $h!t together enough for me to go ok.
The clock is ticking down but will these two get their act together and get what they have both been longing for? What happens when friends and lovers become blurred? Do you lose your best friend?

This was a great 5 star read. I enjoy the Rockstar reads and this one didn’t disappoint. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Lily puts herself out there for an auction to help a family member. Problem is the person stood her up, who does that? Rhys wasn’t thrilled about the auction and refused to go on the date. Will Lily change his mind? Rhys and Lily were both very strong characters. These two had my emotions all over the place. All of the characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the beginning. 1-click and get started today.

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and engaging paranormal romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Cameron Pompeo sees and feels things that he cannot explain, like the young girl, Jocelyn who appears nightly in his dreams, and seems so real. When his cousin Reed also shows up in his dream he realises that Jocelyn is real, and is important to both of them. Meanwhile, Jocelyn Parker has struggled with her guilt ever since her mother was tragically killed in an accident. She has convinced herself that she has made up the two most important people in her life, although something in her soul tells her that the two men are real. The three of them are finally brought together on a cruise to the Mediterranean. They finally meet, make real memories together and make promises of a future with the three of them being together. However, with outside forces threatening their relationship they may not be able to stay together when the cruise is over. This is an entertaining read, with an intriguing storyline and plenty of steamy romance. The characters are likeable and relatable, and the chemistry between Cameron, Jocelyn and Reed sizzles off the page.

Braving Lily is an Opposites Attract Rock Star Romance story and the fifth book in True Platinum series. Each book is centred on a different couple but can be read as standalones.
Morgana’s characters they are easy to like and become invested in them. The chemistry between the couple is most certainly steamy. The story line is well written and easily imagined with Morgana’s narrative.
Rhys is in no mood to pander to a spoilt, rich little girl. One heart break is enough to set him straight on the fairer sex. No way no how is he going down that road. Not happening no matter what.
Lily is not a walkover she is sexy, strong and sassy star and is not used to being ignored. She wants to meet the man with the audacity to stand her up. She won’t take no for an answer.
I enjoyed the push-pull between these characters and all the frustration, angst, tension and drama we get to see as we journey along with Rhys and Lily story.
You will need to read it to find out what happens.

I love LM’s scorching tales and The Sweet Temptations Trilogy is just that. You will need a nice cold shower and a ciggy after reading these.
L.M. Mountford likes to give us erotic stories that leap over the boundaries and this trilogy does not disappoint. Scandalous, lustful and desirable, erotic, sexy, sinful, forbidden desires are only some words that always come to mind when I read LM’s books.
The Babysitter – A Forbidden Age Gap Romance – Richard finds that his sweet young temptation, the babysitter, has the hots for him but is he willing to give himself up to his lustful thinking and destroy all he has. Temptation has never looked so sweet.

The Boss’s Daughter – An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance – The Boss’s Daughter has set her sights on Richard. She always gets what she wants. But will Richard get caught up in her game and be tempted to sleep with his boss’s daughter? Temptation is positively sinful.

Ménage à Trois – An Age Gap MFF Romance – What man or woman hasn’t thought about a Ménage à Trois? Desires & fantasies come to life when Alice decides to settle the score with her own dirty little fantasy. She knows about Richard and his little secret. Where will this leave their marriage? Temptation has never been so delightful.

Your Trainer Says Hi! (Vengeful Vixens Book 2) by Indie Sparks – Review by Jenni Bishop

Your Trainer Says Hi! Your Trainer Says Hi! by Indie Sparks
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

Your Trainer Says Hi! The second book in the Vengeful Vixens series is my type of humour. I love a good refreshing Rom Com and Indie is a new author to me but she does it in spades. How have I not stumbled across this author before? Somehow, I missed the first book, and I must go back and read it now.
I laughed out loud with the witty and funny banter. This is one of my favourite reads of the year so far. I wish the story was longer because it is an easy read and I had so much fun.
Betrayal with a capital B. Revenge is sweet for Nadine especially when she gets down and dirty with Wick. Erotic spicy scenes. Ooh la la! That man knows his way around a woman.
Sexy and steamy encounters, lots of angst, amazing characters, fun, and definitely hot and flirty. I love that these Vixens are sassy, relatable, and raw and know what they want even if they are a mess at times.
I can’t wait for the next book.

Ocean’s Three (Made In Heaven #2) by Elena Kincaid – Review by Kerry Baker

Ocean's Three (Made In Heaven, #2)Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is the second in the series and is just as good as the first. I was pulled into the story instantly by the characters and wanted to know more about them. As with the first book, this one is a unique story that I thought it was well written. This book was certainly all about the characters. The connection they had was undeniable and I loved every part of it.
This author is still a new one to me and I am enjoying what I am reading so far. If this is what all of her books are like then she definitely has a new fan in me.
