Renewed (Fateful Justice Book 6)

This book is my introduction to Ms. Vinduska’s books and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I will find a way to go back and read the first books in the future. While a part of a series it is a standalone, but it doesn’t hurt to learn the other people and their story.

Hayden is a rancher and seems to have been since birth. Now taking care of the property he grew on is exactly what he wants with his life until he is shot. His life goes from normal to being flipped upside down.

Ruby is a hero and saves Hayden after he shows up unexpectedly. She goes through so much in a short time, but it doesn’t do anything but make her stronger.

This was a quick read, but no corners were cut in the story at all. I have added Ms. Vinduska’s name to my list of authors to keep an eye out for new releases and I look forward to reading more.

Renewed (Fateful Justice Book 6)Renewed by Sara Vinduska
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Renewed by Sarah Vinduska is book six in the Faithful Justice series. This is the first and only book I have read in the series and I’ve see that each can be read as a standalone. I’m sure there were things I would have picked up on had I have read the other stories but I didn’t feel lost. I will say the story was cute but moved fast in the sense that it seemed so crazy. I also wasn’t a fan of the multiple perspectives. Not that it was confusing but there were more than just Hayden and Ruby which I didn’t find necessary to the story except to set another one up. Though… I am now interested in those stories, so well played! Ruby is running from her past and although she’s taken a lot of precautions, it catches up to her pretty quickly. Hayden is a rancher who needs help but then feels obligated to save her. The story was good. I enjoyed it and it had enough to keep my interest throughout. A good first read for me by this author.

I’ve read many books by this author, and they never disappoint! I was immediately pulled into the story from the very beginning and binged on the entire thing in one day. Reading about Jamaica and Callahan’s relationship evolving was incredible as their chemistry was great. The characters felt relatable with the depth that they’re given as it really brought them to life for me. I wasn’t a big sports romance fan when it came to books, but this author has repeatedly brought me to see that it’s a great genre! I highly recommend picking this one up and getting lost in the beautiful world of Jamaica and Callahan.

Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn – Review by Samantha Cleaver

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an enemies-to-lovers, healing from childhood trauma romance.

From the very first page, Isla Vaughn grips your attention and never lets go. The two main characters start out as enemies with their own childhood traumas. Shane lies about his identity to get revenge on Winter. She finds out and then gets kidnapped the day. Even after all his deceit, Winter can’t seem to believe Shane was behind it. Even if she can’t figure out who was behind it all (at first).

With plot twists, a budding romance, and some good ol’ family drama, this book has something for everyone.

A must read!

I picked up this book without realizing that it was in a series, but I still enjoyed it with very little confusion. I plan on picking up the previous books now so I can get more background. This story starts off with danger and suspense, so I knew I was in for a wild ride! Ruby and Hayden have such amazing chemistry that really leaps off the pages and make you root for them the whole way. The author created such an easy-to-read book that was difficult to take breaks from, and it is full of romance, steamy scenes, danger, and suspense throughout. I’m on my way to read the rest of the series and highly recommend picking this one up before you miss out!

Good story with a lot going on. I did not love it as much as book 1 in the series but it is still enjoyable. I just feel the unknown of a few things was too vague to actually care about it too much which led to me not being completely invested in the character. I did like the interaction between the two main characters. Why they were that way with each other I wasn’t completely sure. Each one has a few secrets and as they are forced together they slowly come out. I liked the action in here….and there is a lot! As for secondary characters the future story between Drake and Finlay had me awaiting with bated breath.

Renewed (Fateful Justice Book 6)Renewed by Sara Vinduska
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and entertaining romantic suspense which kept me hooked throughout. Set in wild Wyoming, the author does a great job of bringing the setting vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. It’s here that confirmed bachelor, cowboy Hayden Goddard runs his family’s ranch, and where he is shot and left for dead. He wakes up to find that his life has been saved by Ruby Drake, who is on the run from her past and has moved to the countryside for a fresh start. When Ruby’s past catches up with her Hayden is determined to protect the women who saved his life, and who he’s falling in love with. I loved how the relationship between Ruby and Hayden developed and their spicy chemistry sizzled off the page. This was a cowboy romance with plenty of drama and action, as well as suspense and the storyline had me gripped.

Renewed (Fateful Justice Book 6)Renewed by Sara Vinduska
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 6th book in the Fateful Justice Series. These books can be read as a standalone however I will be heading back to read the rest as I really enjoyed this story.

This is a cowboy romance but it is so much more, with danger, stalkers, an ex determined to get his woman back and a big hearted cowboy who is determined to protect her at all costs.

When Hayden gets shot he realises he needs to do something fast else he risks dying out in the cold. Knowing he won’t reach his own property he heads to the closest property around. When he arrives he wakes to see a woman. He takes her breath away. Who is she and what is her story.

Ruby has taken time in this cabin to escape her ex. Her ex is a dangerous man who will stop at nothing to get her. When she finds a man on the porch with a gunshot wound she knows she has to help, so she takes him in and nurses him back to health. Ruby saved Hayden’s life and as their connection grows stronger he vows to protect her.
When Ruby’s ex returns, Hayden knows he needs to do all he can to stop her ex getting close to her and protect her from all danger but why does he feel this need? He doesn’t do relationships so why does the thought of losing Ruby terrify him so much.

As the full picture of Ruby’s past finally comes to light Hayden knows he will protect her no matter the danger.

This is a really sweet captivating romance which is fast paced with loads of twist and turns. I just couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with both Hayden and Ruby and they are so perfect for each other.

This book is a fantastic sports romance story that is easy to connect with and such fun to read. I found myself engaging with this story right from the start. This is one of my favourite tropes and this is an example of it done well.
The characters were perfect for each other, which was evident from the moment they met. Their chemistry was obvious, despite how much one of them might not have wanted it. They were entertaining and a joy to read about. This is a great story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shadowed Agenda by Mavery Ellscott is the second book to the Shadow Defense Security series. Full of suspense, romantic tension, and lots of plot twists, this is a strong story for a second book and definitely left me ready for more! I loved the characters. Regan and Pavlo are strong character leads and I adored them both. Regan is very headstrong but also a loving single mother that is willing to do whatever she thinks she has to to keep her daughter safe. Pavlo is a former Navy Seal and a member of the secretive group known as Shadow Defense Security. They are both authors on a book tour and due to some history between them, they try to keep their distance. But when the book tour takes a terrifying turn for Regan, Pavlo steps up and tries to help keep Regan safe as well as get to the bottom of threats and attacks being made against her. The tension between them grows as they spend more time together. But Regan doesn’t want Pavlo involved in this growing threat, and Pavlo doesn’t think he can be more than an occasional one night stand. The story had me hooked and turning the pages as quickly as I could, devouring every word until the end! I highly recommend for romantic suspense lovers. I look forward to more from this author.

Loving this cover art !

Look I must just say Alex you were a chop my friend ! What we’re you thinking breaking up Ceri just so you could enjoy the “sweet forbidden side” of being a rockstar , while I appreciate you not cheating what you did was a yuck thing but I still like you , yes you make me knees weak ! 🥰🙈

So both Ceri and Alex have moved on and Ceri is about to walk down the aisle when shocker upon shocker she finds out she’s still married to Alex ! Neither can remember their Fiji wedding and I’m like hello how can you not remember!?!? 🤣🙈🤷‍♀️

Alex wants to try and win Ceri over again and she just wants him to sign the papers so desperate times call for desperate measures and she takes his deal/challenge ……go on tour with them and if nothing has changed between them in that time he’ll sign the papers 😉

Oh my gosh this was epic ! I loved every moment and these 2 really climbed into my heat 🥰📚

Braving Lily (True Platinum Series Book 7) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Heidi Sturgess

Braving Lily (True Platinum, #5)Braving Lily by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just loving this cover ! More so after I finished reading this little gem ❣️📚

Lily is scorned to say the least , she’s just walked out of 10 year relationship and it seems the one person she thought she could trust is the one person who hurt and cheated her the most , the price of fame is high and more often not lily is used for her connections and what she can do for people as opposed to being seen as just Lily , that’s so sad really because she’s a real gem 🥰

Lily is approached by a charity to “ win a date “ and it’s for a good cause , so she agrees and then the toffee that wins doesn’t even pitch like my word dude you’re a chop 🤷‍♀️🙈

Rhys , also scorned thanks to his ex best friend and ex wife so his mamma intervenes, bless her heart and what do you know he’s off on a coffee date with Lily and even more of a surprise they really seem to hit it off 😍

I just loved watching their story unfold , I laughed , sniffled and chewed my nails with anxiousness but every emotion was so worth it !

A King So Savage (The Savage Duet) by April Moran – Review by Barbara Bohls

A King So Savage (The Savage Duet #1)A King So Savage by April Moran
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an amazing dark read romance. I am such a huge fan of this genre that I couldn’t wait to get started on this book. I was not disappointed. The way the book is written, you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and yes that even includes the villain. This book has everything from the bad boy anti-hero to the horrible past but very resilient and strong girl. The crazy brother thrown in makes for an entertaining story. There is one flaw in the book but it didn’t dismiss from the story or how quickly I read it. The flaw is that sometimes the leading female doesn’t know when to stop “poking the hornets nest,” so to say. She seems to be a little naive to the situation that she is in and can’t quite control what comes out of her mouth. It was a little off putting at first but the further I read the more endearing it became. This was a fast paced read for me because it has everything that I love. The suspense, romance, drama, violence, morally grey lines being tested, and wonderful character development. I was able to escape my everyday surrounding for a few hours while I got lost in this book. I can’t wait to read the second part of this duet. I have a feeling I am going to love that one more than this one because it is a confutation of what I just started.

A King So Savage (The Savage Duet) by April Moran – Review by Angela Shirley

A King So Savage (The Savage Duet #1)A King So Savage by April Moran
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kingston King is not the type of man you want to cross, so when Ava’s brother owes a large sum of money to him he takes action.

He decides to show he means business and kidnaps Ava as collateral for her brother to pay back his money, but when everyone notice Ava and Kingston starts to feel an attraction to her, he has to touch her all the time but this woman may look feeble but she has a bite which excites him but as this goes on his prisoner is attracting looks from his men and with the battles within will either destroy him or make him stronger.

His obsession maybe the thing that breaks him.

This is the first book by this author I have read and I really enjoy the story and the characters. Kingston is a Alpha character who you at first hate as he shows no redeeming qualities at all, but as you read through the story there are snippets of the person he is with Ava, he shows some compassion and you can see his idea of love.

I love a strong female character in a story especially when you think she will be a whimpering female in distress but she gave Kingston as good as he gets with her fire and determination. The story was well written and developed and the main characters had all the angst of a good dark romance, the secondary characters gave the story another depth to the story.

I can’t wait to read part 2 and see what happens to these two broken characters and can they make it work between them.

Finding the End Zone (Game Time Series)

I did not want this book to end. It took a minute to grab me but once it did I had a hard time putting it down. Every one of the main characters weasel their way into my heart. Especially the boys.

Jamaica, a strong independent woman who will not accept anything but the best when it comes to her and her grade, she isn’t going to allow anything to lead her astray from her goals.

Callahan, star Tight End for the football team, definitely got Travis Kelse vibes from him which may have made me like him a little more. He’s arrogant, but not in a jerky way and determined to get the girl.

As important as Jamaica and Callahan are, the co-stars add almost as much. Axel was quite instrumental in helping his friend get out of her own way and quite entertaining along with Chessly and the boys in the football house.

I am not one to read the sneak peeks at the end, but I did this time and I can’t wait for Bax to find his heart.

Jade: Hidden Scars: A Forbidden Age-Gap Romance (Book 1) by A. Akinosho – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Hidden Scars (Jade #1)Hidden Scars by A. Akinosho
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Both Jade and Naseer are dealing with grief (albeit in their own ways) when their paths cross in a bar. Jade seems to be the bright spot that Naseer is missing in his life. However, she is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks and he is the older man with his future planned out for him. Everyone seems to be against them…so is there even a chance that their relationship could survive?

This story starts of a tad slow. But, once they meet…it takes off from there. It is a good against the odds story…but it is filled with grief and trauma, humor and love, and some angst and drama. It does end with a cliffhanger….so I will be checking out what happens next!

If you haven’t read The Antipodes Series or the first book in The Latitude Series I highly recommend you do so. It has been a little while since I read the other books so I had to skim through to brush up on some information. The books all follow the events of the previous books and skipping them means missing important information. The same wonderfully realistic and believable characters return. I could feel the love between Caitlin and Gio, the emotions tangible throughout the entirety of Orenda. T. S. Simons uses the same amazing, descriptive writing I’ve come to expect from her. The whole dystopian world is almost eerily realistic in the fact that challenges, drama, and tragedy mimic our own. I also love how Simons incorporates different beliefs into her writing. I cannot wait to read more!

This is a fantastically written MM romance. It feels so real and not forced at all. It reads like a Hallmark movie, which for a holiday book is exactly what I was looking for. Elijah and Austin are fantastically written and well developed characters. They had overcome so much to end up where they are when the story begins. These battles they had fought are part of what makes them such endearing characters to me. This was such a well written romance that I definitely recommend!

Hidden Scars (Jade #1)Hidden Scars by A. Akinosho
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 stars
Jade: Hidden Scars: A Forbidden Age-Gap Romance is the first book in this series. A story of second chances, forbidden love and those who want to keep them a part.
Naseer and Jade’s journey is a twisty road to love. They are both broken. They are from two different worlds; two different cultures and he is much older than she is. But with scheming and plotting to destroy them and keep them apart do they even stand a chance.
There are characters that are likable and some you would like to smack them and others you would like to shake because of their naivety and childishness. I found it a little hard to connect fully with them making it hard to truly lose myself in the story.
A. Akinosho writes a tale that has healing, strength, secrets, lies, insecurities, jealousy, drama, angst, betrayal, frustrations, hopes, dreams and let’s not forget those conspiring against them.
Give it a go because you never know you may fall in love with it.

The Magic Man Audiobook (The Olympic Peninsula Book 3) by Cat Treadgold – Review by Robin Rankin

The Magic Man The Olympic Peninsula Series, Book 3

David is basically a stranger at the beginning of this book. He was mentioned in passing a few times but not a lot was known. He definitely didn’t give me the warm fuzzies.

Maddie is a sweet woman who listens to her heart instead of her brain from time to time. There were a few times that she showed that.

I enjoyed the book overall, but I was unable to make a connection with David which surprised and disappointed me. Ms. Treadgold did a wonderful job narrating and has a voice that is very soothing which was much needed this week.

Looking forward to the next books, but the mystery of Edward is truly intriguing.

I like how the author keeps the same style of writing, very detailed where the reader can actually see the scene playing in their head like a movie. The characters are very relatable with what they are going through within the story. The main characters Caitlin and Gio are very compatible, however it does take Caitlin a little bit to get used to having another person by her side. It is a very good read and it is a good idea to read the previous books in the series to get the full background of what happened before.
