This is book 2 in the series, and I loved it just as much as thee first if not more. So much happening that keeps you hooked and guessing what happens next. I think you should read book 1 before this one so that you get the full story. It was easy going from book 1 to book 2 and I am so glad I got to read them back to back and didn’t need to wait. Read this series today, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait for book 3!

Jasmine and her best friend started Divine Events, so all her time is split between organizing events and keeping her best friend happy. She has nothing to complain about until James Conner and throws her world into a frenzy. Only to turn around to announce his engagement to her best friend…
The Conner family is old money and full of success, but James has a past that is a bit different. With a string of poor choices behind him, drinking and business decisions alike, he’s determined to fix things up. Unfortunately, that means marrying Cadence to get the money to start his new business and then followed by a divorce both are happy to move forward with.
Jasmine, however, wasn’t part of the plan. He can’t keep her out of his mind and wants nothing more than to be with her. Can he convince her that she has his heart while Cadence has his last name? This shot book has so much potential. I absolutely loved the storyline and the characters are beautifully done. There were several errors that were hard to get past, though, and I wish we could’ve had a bit more detail on the relationship with Cadence and Jasmine.
Overall, I enjoyed this and found it to be a fairly quick read. I’d definitely read more like it.

I really enjoyed this book! I love sports romances so this called my name from the cover alone. I felt a connection to Peyton as she was down to earth, told it like it was and still showed her emotions and stuck up for herself when needed. Ryan isn’t like other pro baseball stars, he keeps himself in check and doesn’t care for the limelight he’s all about the team.
These two had sparks flying from hello and when their flame ignited it was hard to cool that down. They went through real relatable situations and that made me love them even more as it made them seem more real, so kudos to the author for your gift of word building to elicit those emotions. Can’t wait for more!

The injustice of it all , going to hail for a crime you did not commit 🥲 at least when Ted is released the first face he meets is a friendly one , the moment the elderly lady shared her juicy apples with him I know I’m done for , kindness speaks volumes 😍he’s on his way home to help his family with their Christmas farm and winery ..,.
Now Ted needs to keep his nose clean and out of trouble , his family is so excited to have him home and now they start living and healing from their wounds left by the harsh judgment passed by the judge that was determined to make an example of Ted …..
Sam is his probation officer and not did I laugh when a pretty dainty lady arrived as opposed to a man 😂but she’s good people and she hats heart of gold 😍
The love this family shared is precious and something to treasure it brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion
Robyn was Ted’s love and thought the trial she was there to support him and she was on her way to becoming a hotshot lawyer I’m the big city but then life happened , Robyn stayed home and looked after her grandmother living a serene life in her hometown …..
I’m not sure if it’s because I was in a tender state before reading this book but let me tell you something I cried hard I’m not even going to try and deny it but here’s the thing these people are so real and what happened to them is so unfair and this story is about their redemption, forgiveness, healing and moving on .
This is one of those reads that you want to share but also don’t want to share because you feel like you’re betraying them but at the same time sharing their story will encourage others 🥰

Cutter is a Navy Seal who is happy to have quick flings with strippers or women who understand he does not want anything serious. As he sees his other Seal brother start to get married and have children he wonders if he will ever find someone to have that kind of relationship with.
Zarifah is a bellydancer and not the stripping kind pretending to be. She takes dance seriously even though it is for fun. She teaches gymnastics to kids as she was once a child training for the Olympics.
Weeks before Cutter and Zarifah met they both had made a huge decision in their lives. Cutter was going to look for a high valued woman and Zarifah never wanted to see her ex fiance again after he beat her up.

Jasmine and Cadence are best friends. Cadence is marrying James, who maintains a weirdly flirty demeanor with Jasmine in private, especially for someone who recently got engaged. Jasmine has a long time boyfriend, Bryan, but neither seem all that invested in each other or the relationship. Cadence is the typical spoiled rich girl who always wants all the attention and uses and abuses the people around her to get what she wants. She treats Jasmine like a door mat and everyone can see it except Jasmine, who just wants to be loved by someone. Throw in some business dealings and shady behavior, and it’s a twisty tale of deceit and letting go of the thorns that looked like roses. All in all, I didn’t hate the book, but I also didn’t love it. This book just had a couple of themes that play into stories I don’t particularly care for: lead female is a weak, predictable character in an overplayed trope; and a “nice/good” person wears their kindness like some martyr badge, sacrificing themselves and their happiness while making themselves the underdog in their own story.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites yet by her. One of the things I enjoy about this author is her ability to pull me into her stories with ease. They are romance mixed with some suspense and just hard to put down. This book is no different. It is a fast paced, well written story about a bellydancer, her ex and a Navy Seal. They each bring something different to the story which makes it entertaining to read. I enjoyed the suspense aspect of this story as well. There is great chemistry and growth throughout the story. I enjoyed how the characters made me feel as if I was part of the story. For me, they brought the story to life and just added so much to the story. I really enjoyed this story and I think you will as well. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is the next book in the Sicilian Gods series. You need to read the previous to understand the situations at hand in this book. It immediately picks up after the events of the previous. This book focuses on Dominic Larussio who happens to be an underboss in this dark mafia romance. We are also met with Emelia. Who is just as spit fire as Dominic. I cannot wait to read more from this author! Review by @michellerenee6590

This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book and I never hesitate to pick up. Her books are hot romance with characters that pop off the pages. I enjoyed reading this new book by this author. It is a hot romance story that is fast paced and hard to put down. Luke and Nikolai are such great characters. They have strong, great chemistry and growth throughout the story. I enjoyed how they pulled me into the story and made me feel as if I was part of the story. They had me hoping that they would find their happiness. A story where one night changes everything. There is also a suspense part of the story that is added to the plot. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

Boss’s Vendetta (Sicilian Gods Book 1) by Via Mari 4 Stars
Vegas is a playground where anything goes. A war is brewing between the De Rosas and the Larussios for domination of this desert oasis. It’s no holds bar after the latest De Rosa attack. The Larussio family are taking no prisoners. With the Don temporarily out of service, it’s up to Salvatore to step up and take care of the family. He’s more than ready. He’s been groomed for this role his whole life. He’s cold and ruthless. Can a fair haired doctor melt the ice around his heart?
This story is dark and delicious. Salvatore is magnificent and hot as hell. Adrianna is sexy even after a twelve hour shift in her scrubs. I fell in love with this couple. The chemistry between the two was electrifying. This series is off to a great start. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I love this book! It was such a fast read with a beautiful love story. I loved Cutter and Zarifah. The way that Cutter worked to prove to Zarifah that all men are not the same. He made it his mission to prove to her how a woman should be treated. I loved Zarifah and definitely understood why she was not ready for a relationship with anyone. Cutter made her see that the right one is worth taking a chance on. I have to say that the Green Brotherhood books have been amazing so far and I cannot wait to read more!

The story of Luke and Nickolai is one of the best love stories I’ve ever read. I kept wanting to read more and lost sleep reading this one. Watching how they both processed the past baggage of their relationship was absolutely fascinating. But also watching the trepidation with which they approached one another was amazing. I loved the character of Luke. I thought that she definitely was someone with a past that they were trying to hide. Nickolai was complex in his own way. I definitely recommend reading this one!

An enjoyable and engaging romantic suspense story which had me hooked from start to finish. Navy SEAL Tony “Cutter” Cuttino seems to have a thing for strippers, much to his Grandma’s annoyance, but Cutter says that it’s all about their grace and athleticism for him. However, until American belly dancer and ex competitive gymnast Zarifah comes along no woman has held his attention. Zarifah, or Edith, is running away from an abusive ex who is in prison for turning violent when she wouldn’t give up her dancing. Neither Cutter or Zarifah can ignore the sizzling chemistry between them, and Zarifah loves how supportive Cutter is of her belly dancing. Even Cutter’s Grandma is keen to meet Zarifah. Things turn deadly when her ex storms one of her performances with a loaded weapon, but luckily not only is there a Navy SEAL in the building, but one who will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he loves. This is a heartwarming romance with plenty of drama and suspense to keep you gripped throughout. The chemistry between the main characters came across in the narrative, and I also loved Cutter’s Grandma’s character. An entertaining read.

Hit on You is Brooke’s thirtieth book so she is doing something right, well done Brooke on the mile stone. The one thing I like about Brooke May is her diversity of story styles. She is predominately a romance author but they come in many shapes and sizes and don’t always conform to the norm. I love a good dark romance and Hit on You is exactly that. It is right up my alley. Hit on You is a standalone and one you will enjoy. I was pulled into the delicious darkness, the drama, the angst and the danger that unfolded. I was totally engaged throughout and I enjoyed the push pull between Luke and Nikolai and the sometimes love hate relationship with the sizzling chemistry. The two are passionate and stubborn. The past rears its ugly head and may just be the catalyst that has deadly consequences. I am not giving away any spoilers because you need to unwrap this story for yourself so if you like something dark, something sexy, something dangerous then Hit on You is something you need to read. I also liked Brooke’s own review on her platforms explaining about how this book came about. I look forward to Brooke giving us more stories like this one.

Loved this story! It might be shorter but it is mighty! It encompasses a full story of the main characters including back flashes. I got the feelings and emotions of not only the main characters but the secondary as well. I liked them all and am curious about some of their stories as well.
This is the first book I have read in this series. I was easily drawn in by the way this story was presented. Witty banter and that hold your breath attraction make this one: Thoroughly enjoyable!
Who does not love a good SEAL Team hotty read! I couldn’t wait to start on this book in the series. The only issue I have with these books are that the stories are far too short. Debra take pity on me and fill me up with more. There is so much to love with the suspense and action, fierce passion and emotions and determination of a protector SEAL man who goes after what he wants. Oo la la. What happens when a belly dancer and a SEAL meet? You will have to read it to find out. No spoilers here. I you love sexy, strong, heroic men then grab copies of the Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII series as they have it all. I cannot wait for the next book. It’s so hard to choose who my best book boyfriend from these men is. Choices, choices……

This book gives us the story of Luke and Nikolai. These two very strong willed characters have a powerful connection and as soon as Nikolai mentions love Luke runs. He doesn’t give up on her though, watching her from a distance. When Luke witnesses something terrifying and it puts her life in danger Nikolai can no longer stay away and insists on protecting her. Luke on the other hand is determined to never rely on a man so with all this happening it makes for some very interesting times for them both. With danger all around them can they stay safe and allow the love they do truly have for each other become a strong unbreakable bond. You need to read this wonderful book to find out!

Great story. I really like how the author centers this book around abuse, Zarifah banding together with her group of friends who have her back, and her fighting back and not putting up with the abuse. I feel like there was too much in the beginning about Tony and the strippers he sleeps with and not enough about the relationship between Zarifah and Hassan. Of course I loved how the Navy Seal who had given up on love and relationships falls head over heels for the main character and is willing to do anything to keep her safe.

So perfect! The beginning was kind confusing, it was also weird how the story backtracked to how Jasmine and James first met, that part just didn’t flow, but didn’t take away from the overall story. I love Jasmine, she is such a caring and giving woman. She takes care of her employees and is worried bout their welfare over her own, so seeing her, so called, best friend Cadence ruin what little relationship they had was just excellent. I hated to see Jasmine so distraught but Cadence really is a trash person and didn’t deserve anything she had, and it was nice to see her put in her place. James is wonderful. I love how in love he is with Jasmine, and that he has such a sweet dream. I really didn’t see Bryan, Jasmine’s boyfriend’s betrayal coming, but it was a doozy, and made for a wonderful story! I look forward to more from this author.

I just love a good love story between the brother’s best friend and the little sister. One thing I really enjoyed was right off the bat they are together – there was no build-up – no angst – until there was. It starts off with a hidden relationship between Kasper and Krysta. Krysta was 19 and Kasper was a couple of years older and completely in love. However, as most of these books go it is a secret, but then Krysta becomes pregnant. Kasper didn’t have a great upbringing and never thought he would make a good parent and completely dropped the ball. They broke up and Krysta was destroyed. Six years later, Krysta and Kasper have a love-hate relationship because her brother is still best friends with him and her brother and Kasper work together. However, Krysta has “moved on” with her life and is engaged to be married, but the feelings are not the same for that man. Krysta is also getting over a trauma where her fiance is not the most supportive person. As the story progresses, both Krysta and Kasper realize that their feelings have never really changes and Kasper is now ready to make her officially his. That may take some work since she “hates” him so much, but slowly she starts to let him in. Can they get back what they had lost? Will Krysta’s brother be okay with that? Can you come back from such heartache? There is a lot that happens in this story, I just didn’t want to give too much away. However, I really enjoyed the story, the banter, the characters. Krysta is a sassy, smart, independent woman just trying to figure things out. Kasper is a badboy-type playboy, but it really is a cover-up for the love he never lost for Krysta. Now that he is growing up, a little, he wants her back. He is loveable, jealous type, but also goes after what he wants. He teases her a lot which was intriguing and sexy. The chemistry both have coming off the page was great. While I have never read anything else from this author, I will most likely be going back and reading the first 2 books!
This book took me by surprise. Jasmine meets a stranger at her best friend’s house that kisses her so passionately it sparks a huge flame. Within minutes she learns that this stranger is James Connor and he is off limits. The author takes you through each relationship which some are toxic and did get to me. Half way through the book, the author throws you a curve in the story. For most of the story I was made at Jasmine, James, the best friend and the boyfriend but as the story went on my feelings towards Jasmine and James changed. I guess the more of the story the better it got. To say this book had me in my feelings is an understatement. If you are looking for a book to kind of make you mad, feel the emotions of loss and betrayal but still end with a happy ending then this book is definitely one to read.

My Pearl Heart is a story about a woman named Jasmine Hayes. She is a witty, beautiful, smart business owner of Divine Events. She comes from a socialite family and after her parents died, she went into business with her best friend, Cadence. Cadence is an unreliable, money-hungry, selfish business partner. The first chapter actually starts with Jasmine making out with a stranger in Cadence’s kitchen. She quickly comes to find out this stranger is James Conner, an old client’s arrogant son and Cadence’s new fiance. Needless to say, Jasmine is shocked to find out this news, and even more when hears that Cadence wants her to plan her wedding. Jasmine is professional, but how is she going to get through this when she has never had a feeling like the one James gave her? Throughout the story, James is super flirty and comes clean that he wants her and the marriage is just a “scam” to help each other’s needs. She also wants him but they just can’t for so many reasons. However, will they find a way to make it work, will it be worth it, and will Jasmine allow Cadence to continue treating the business and people around her like crap? I really enjoyed this book. I think it was a storyline different than the normal enemies-to-lovers/friends-to-lovers mentality. Cadence was that annoying, thinks she is better than everyone character that you just want to punch her in the face. However, Jasmine and James were great characters. Jasmine is a confident, established, smart woman who is also very down to earth. James is a pain in the ass, but no bullshit type of man. He has always made his feelings pretty known to Jasmine and really continues to fight for what he wants. The banter, the description of how he looks at her, etc were all really sexy. The building of a love story was a good one!

Dominic Larussio is the underboss for a vicious Italian Mob Family. Enemies of the Italian Mob Family will suffer in the most brutal ways at his hands and he has a reputation for showing no mercy to their enemies while settling scores. When a rival Italian Mob Family wages war against the Larussio family Dominic kidnaps their daughter, Emelia, so that he can obtain information from her about her family. What he does not expect is to find himself attracted to her and feel the desire to keep her safe.
Emelia is not the delicate little flower that Dominic expected and instead turns out to be full of surprises of her own. She can stand her own ground and puts up a fight that Dominic is not prepared for. Emelia also finds herself attracted to Dominic and tries to fight her feelings. Against their better judgement Dominic and Emelia find themselves in a relationship that they must keep secret from both of their rival families.
A war between rival mob families turns into an unexpected romance between members of each family as enemies turn into lovers. I found this to be an interesting twist on how love can suddenly come at the most unlikely time. The characters were well written, and the story was crafted beautifully with vivid descriptions that made me feel as though I was there with them as the action and romance unfolded. Dominic had a reputation for being cold, cruel, and ruthless as an underboss but as the story unfolded, we saw that there was a tender side to him. Emelia had a reputation for being a pampered princess but as it turns out she can protect herself when needed and can be as savage and merciless as any of the men in her mob family. This book was full of action, suspense, mystery, romance, and passion. A great read!

I just want to start out by saying that the best friend in this book will infuriate you until the end! With that being said, this book started out with a kiss to knock all kisses out of the water! After that steamy kiss the conversation and situation gets thrown way out into left field. This story puts you through all the emotions and fixes you by the end.

Luke Williams is determined to live her life on her terms. She has left her family behind and has forged her way in life. Afraid of giving in to another, she leaves the man she won’t admit to loving in the middle of the night. Nikolai Bazenhov, a made man in his family’s business, knows where Luke is. He’s been keeping tabs on her since the night she left him. When Luke finds herself in a dangerous situation, she has to give in to her stubbornness and trust the same man she left a year prior. These characters have a lot to offer each other if they can reconcile their past histories. This novel is full of steamy romance, dark situations and it was truly and enjoyable read.

This story follows Luke, a strong, independent woman whose fear of love lands her back in Seattle in a dangerous position, and Nikolai, member of Seattle’s biggest mafia family with a sole purpose of protecting Luke to show her how he feels about her. I recommend this book because, whilst this story is still in the editing process, it has so much potential; the storyline is gripping, the characters are strong – I particularly love Luke’s character, a woman who is independent and does not rely on men, but also a woman who loves her makeup and nice clothes and high heels and feeling sexy – the book is steamy, and I am a sucker for a happy ending. I’m looking forward to reading more of Brooke May and watching her grow in the industry. “You’ve been mine from the first glance.”

Man, this is an intense book. Dark mafia and it turned great. This was the first for this author and I’m a fan. I hope she’ll do more. Luke and Nik’s story is powerful and a true story to love and letting those walls down. They both have intense issues. Can Luke let hers down to claim that love? Powerfully written, you are pulled write in from the beginning. Luke is tough and vulnerable when she feels safe enough to let her guard down. The plot of the story was amazing and so well-done. I would love to see move of these characters. Definitely a story I would recommend.

This is a bittersweet story of second-chance romance. Tony, aka Cutter, finally really he wants to date a high-value woman. He finds that in Zarifah, aka Edith Smith. She is a belly dancer and gymnastics teacher. They both have issues from previous relationships. The attraction is there. The question is, can they work through this and be the couple they want to be? The story is sweet and romantic. It does have a topic of domestic abuse. We get to see both characters grow. Cutter grows up right before your eyes. The plot could have used a dash more excitement. It had a few dry spots but it really is a beautiful story. I wish we could have seen more as to what happened when he took her home to meet Grandma. She is my favorite character.
