I’ve read a couple of books by this author before. This one was a little bit different than the others I’ve read. It is enjoyable but not my favorite.
I think this short read could have been better by leaving out the paranormal part of it or by making the story longer. Either could have led to some improvements with the story. Still a good read though!

The Handshake Agreement was such a great read. The author pulls you in from the first page to the last. This book had so many twists, I just couldn’t put the book down. It definitely had you wanting to know what would happen next. This was definitely a page turner for me. Great character building. Great detailing. Great world building.
A beautiful story of family and love. I missed reading the first book but had no issue reading the story of Jack and Mariella. Jack met Mariella years before when she was selling postcards at the Colosseum in Rome when he was stationed there. Jack returned to the states with the plan to bring Mariella to the States after World War Two. They continued to write each other and the day finally came when Jack could return to be with Mariella and ultimately facilitate Mariella’s immigration to the United States. The book takes you on an emotional ride as the young couple realize that they both need to transition to their new lives as a couple and help each other as cultural differences pop up. I really enjoyed reading the book and connected to the characters.

This is the second book in the series. However, you can read this one as a stand alone story. I recommend reading the first though. You will not miss details, but you will miss an incredible book. The first book was filled with so much emotion. This one doesn’t differ. While the feelings and the reason for them are vastly different, you will still find yourself on an emotional rollercoaster. You really find yourself feeling so much for Mariella and how she is treated by pretty much everyone when she moves with her husband. I would go from feeling indignant, to happy, from sad, to downright angry. I really just wanted to hug her and to also, throw the book across the room.

What a story! There is so much emotion in this story – love, pain, courage, and so much more. The author is a brilliant writer who draws you into the story as if you are there experiencing it first hand. This story felt real as I was reading it. It is based on a true story, but that doesn’t automatically make it feel real. The author’s writing is what makes it so. I could not put this book down! This is not just a love story, but more than that, it is a story of family, life and all that comes with it. All while taking place during the second world war.

The Match Made in Montana series by Rachelle Paige Campbell is such a great romance series that focuses on the main characters learning life lessons while finding romance in their lives. Catch a Cowboy is the story of Stephanie and Ted’s romance and teaches a great lesson about how age shouldn’t matter when it comes to love. Ted is a widower who is oblivious to Stephanie’s crush on him. He only sees her as a sweet, young teacher who has a great talent for teaching yoga, and she has a great way with people and is always stepping in to help anyone and everyone in need. Ted gets put into a situation that is way out of his norm and finds Stephanie to be a saving grace for him. As they work together to help Maddy, Ted’s niece, adjust to her new living situation, they grow closer together. This story has so many amazing life lessons, both for the children, as well as the adults, and shows that the best things in life take hard work and perseverance. OH MAN THE WRETCHED SOULZ ARE BACK!! I absolutely love Manda Mellett and her MC books. Fantastic writing and the books pull you in and make you feel like you are there. You can just feel the bikes rumble and smell the stale beer and cigarettes. Helo and Chaz are well matched in this story. I can’t say what I want about this book as it will reveal the whole thing but all I can say is READ THIS SERIES !!! You will not regret it.

I was so happy to this MC book! I enjoy this author’s stories and it had been a bit since I have had the pleasure of reading one. She always does an excellent job on plot and the in depth characters. In here is no different. I really fell for these two and the plight they both were put in. Helo is a definite surprise as she has issues but a strong backbone and mad skills! The more I learned about her the more she became perfect for the Prez. He did something in her that literally shocked me! (I think himself as well) I was not sure he would be able to come back from his faux pas. Getting to meet n greet a whole new MC is always exciting!
This one took me on a ride! I was thrilled to be back in this MC world where not everything is black or white. It was nice to see the humor the brothers share amongst each other. The story kept me engaged and I read it in a couple days. I eagerly look forward getting to know more of the boys in the MC.

Another 5 star MC series that is well worth reading. This is President Chaz of Wretched Souls and Helo’s story. What a strong couple. Helo has had her share of trauma in her life and things are about to get even more intense. Chaz being the head man in the club has so much more to account for. But will Helo be his weak spot? Will Chaz and the MC Club accept Helo into their family? Can she be trusted? This author has once again impressed me with her writing skills. Her knowledge of MCs is outstanding and her characters have so much grit. The story will capture your interest on page one and keep you drawn in until the last page. I want so much more from this author and her amazing characters. This is going to be another great series and I look forward to reading all about the Wretched Souls.

4 Stars Italian American (Jack & Mariella Book 2) by Luigina Vecchione
Italian American is the second book in the Jack & Mariella Series and is a Historical Romance . This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have written. I’m a huge fan of Historical Romance and this one definitely checks all those boxes. The characters are relatable, fully developed and make the story come to life. I could picture myself right along with them. This is a story about sacrifices one makes and the ups and downs of family life. These two deserve all the happiness. Moving to a new town is scary imagine how much scarier it must be to move to a new country. Can these two make it? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Vague Directions: Into the Woods by Debra Parmley is a little different from the other books of hers that I have read. This takes paranormal romance and twists it up a bit- making for an original read. Heather’s adventure begins when she sets off for a medieval reenactment festival – getting a bit lost along the way. With a gallant knight, some shifty characters, mystery, intrigue, danger, and dramatic developments- this paranormal romance definitely wasn’t what I was expecting, but in a fun way. Happy Reading…

This is a sweet romance. They have their concerns. Watching them work through it kind of makes it feel so much more real. This is book 2 in the series and it is so good. It gives you a heartwarming sensation. The characters are really very easy to relate to. You get to see faces from book 1. The writing makes the story one that you want to jump right in and stay in. I highly recommend this series.

This was a Ren Fest story with a paranormal spin. Heather is excited to participate in her first medieval reenactment. Her friend is a pro at this and has invited her out for the weekend. Heather has a couple of run-ins with seedy men and a mysterious owl, but she ignores the warnings, as she can’t seem to keep her mind (or eyes) off the chivalrous Sir Roland. There is something evil lurking in the woods. This was an exciting read that kept me hooked til the end.

This book is by an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by them. I enjoy how they have the ability to pull you into the story from the start and keep me engaged to the last page. This is a well written story about Heather and a historical reenactment that she participates in. What she comes to realize is that no one is who they seem to be. Who will she be able to trust? What will happen when the reenactment is finished? Will the danger follow her home? I enjoyed Heather and what she brought to the story. She is my favorite and has great growth throughout. This is a fast paced, engaging, hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. It will keep you coming back to the end. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend finding out what happens to Heather. A great book and highly recommended.

3 – 3.5 stars An age gap, small town romance set in the beautiful setting of Montana is what Catch A Cowboy is all about. It is a slow burn romance tale that is clean in its telling. Being on his own for many years with a broken heart has turned this cowboy into a grumpy man. Whilst the kindergarten teacher may have turned his eye it was their age difference that stilled his hand. She was sunshine and roses and he was all thorns and bristles. But they both have a past that affects them. Rachelle did a good job of defining them and their lives, but they didn’t have much integration as a couple which I would have liked to see. The characters in the book felt like they were more apart instead of sharing their lives. We did get to revisit with characters from the first book as Catch A Cowboy is the second book in the Match Made in Montana series.

3.5 stars There is suspense, action, danger, tension angst, chemistry and intrigue something for everyone. Vague Directions is an interesting urban fantasy set in the modern world. Starts out in the setting of a Renfest, a medieval SCA but there is a twist. It was fun to read about as I have often wondered about going to one of these events. Heather was swept away into medieval times and one dashing and charming stranger Sir Roland. Things take on a deadly hue when Heather realises there is more to the darkness, more lurking in the shadows. But who can she trust. Who is friend or foe? This paranormal fantasy tale is fun and intriguing with unusual shifters, attempted kidnappings, prophetic owls, romance and more.

I was so excited to read a new book by this author. I have loved every book I have read by this author and this one is no different. This book had me hooked from the beginning and kept me completely enthralled throughout the entire story. This book has drama, chemistry, forgiveness, danger, action, great characters and so much more. Chaz and Helo’s story isn’t something you want to miss out on. Both of these characters are alone because of their pasts that haunt them. Will they see what could be? This is a must read to find out what happens. I highly recommend this book. A Patriot’s Tale: An American Revolutionary War Novel by Nicole Pierman was a really good book! Very easy to read and a page turner. This book focuses on Lily, a orphan with a thirst for revenge against the redcoats who m*rdered her family. It follows her along as she meets a family who is able to help her reach a rebel settlement. From there, the storyline takes a surprising twist as the enemy commander at a nearby town is completely taken with her (no spoilers!). I definitely recommend this book! Strong female character, good for mature teens (some war content) and YA. I also read that this was written when the author was 12! You can tell that it was written with a younger narative in mind, but I still really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to see what else this author publishes.

Italian American (Jack & Mariella Book 2) by Luigina Vecchione. I loved the first book so much but this one was even better. Written to the point that I felt like I was right in Rome and in America back in the 50’s. This story stayed with a long time after I finished it and that to me is the sign of a great book. Its the continuing story of Jack & Mariella who have moved to America and Mariella is having a hard time fitting in. Not used to American ways and American people, its a rough beginning. Leaving her beloved Rome is one of the hardest things she’s ever done. Women are different in American, very judgy and gossipy and outsiders aren’t really welcome. When a tragedy has her traveling back to Rome she will have to make the hardest decision ever in coming back to American. She loves Jack but with him working all the time she misses him and wonders if she really needs to go back. Such a heartfelt love story that will leave you wanting more.

I never fail to be excited when I see a new book by this author and this one is no exception. As with all of the others I have read, it pulled me in right from the start. I was completely captivated by both the characters and the story. The book had all the intensity I love from this author which only made it so much better. I connected with these characters the moment I started reading about them. The push and pull between them only added to the chemistry that was evident. I loved watching the dynamic between them and how their relationship developed as the book progressed. This author really knows how to draw you into each and every story she writes and has firmly become one of my favourites. I would highly recommend everyone read not only this book but everyone she has written.

This is a story that will get you from the start and hold you the further you get in. Helo (aka Queenie) has an intense past. Breaking into the Wretched Soulz MC may not have been the greatest idea. She was trying to help someone. Chaz and a couple others caught her. Let’s just say that the dance was on. Helo suffered from PTSD and is running from a bounty on her head. Chaz figured he was a bachelor for life because he was the MC leader. Watching these two figure out their relationship issues and work around the MC issues made for some reading that you couldn’t put down. I stayed up pretty late because I felt invested in what was going on. I had to know what the plan was. It’s fast-paced, full of drama and action. I enjoyed all the personalities. Storyteller makes an appearance with his family. It’s an exciting read (with a bit of steam).

This is a sweet and endearing story. Jordan works hard at her shop and even though she hurts every time she sees her ex come in with his new love, she cannot seem to tell him not to come in anymore. There is a light though in her days and that is Cane. Jordan never imagined what she could enjoy with Cane and when he comes to her with a proposition Jordan must decide what path she will take. It was nice to see the two find their way. Looking towards the future and away from their pasts. Their story moves at a good pace and shows the magic in love.

Sizzle. Sizzle. I am proud to state that from this day on I am officially a devoted fan of E.L. Roux. This is the first book I have read by them and my oh my it was a fantastic little read. Jorden gave three years of her life loving a man that one little sip of a special drink had her world crashing down. A year has passed, and the pain still aches inside of her daily as her ex-fiancé Nathan and his new fiancé Tiffany visit her coffee shop daily. Many have asked her out in the time that’s passed but only Cane cracks her façade. Saying yes, she struggles with her internal emotions. She gave her heart away once only for it to be thrown away and she was not afraid that if she tried again and failed, she would forever be alone. Cane needs her help for a vision quest, for their exes Tiffany and Nathan. Giving in everything changes in the blink of an eye. Everything with Cane is easier and without overthinking. What did Tiffany need to know? Why did Jorden see the answer? What did Cane see? This was a short, sweet read to kick off the month of June and honestly, I need more. I want to know what makes Volur different from Pixies, Nymphs, and other magic casters other than not being in cities much. I cannot wait to read book two, Unrewarded Love, to see more about Perri and Kyla’s story, and where their sparks lead them. Also, sidenote, that spice be extra spicy in this one the buildup and the ceremony missing the big finish was interesting. Overall, an extremely well written novella to fit in a single sitting without realizing you finished it already. This one will consume your time from start to finish.

Unrequited Love (Magic and Heartache Series) by E.L. Roux. This is such a wonderful fantasy romance. Its the story of Jorden who runs the local coffee shop and is just over the break up of her and her boyfriend. Unfortunately her ex has decided to bring his new girl into the shop every day and Jorden is sick of it. There is one person who has made her day better since the break up and that is Cane. She is in heat over him. When he makes her a deal she can’t refuse she thinks its a win/win situation. If the deal includes her being next to Cane more than she is all in. When he wants to create a spell that will see the future of her ex and his new girl, Jorden isn’t so sure she wants to see that but the offer of Cane makes her change her mind. As they spend more time together will Jorden realize she’s completely over her ex and ready to move on or will she realize she’s still in love with the jerk? Cane might just be what she needs to get over that hump. Such a great fantasy romance with a little spice.
