Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Jenni Bishop

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s always a no brainer to grab KG’s books. I absolutely love her stories.

Faultless Love is the first book in this exciting new series, The Bennetts of Langston Falls. Even though it is the first book it is a standalone book. This beautiful small-town tale will have you believing in love and wanting to move to Langston Falls.

It was so easy to relate to this story and the characters as I went through the same thing. He takes the fall for someone else whilst she sits at home waiting.

He wants nothing more than to be with the one he loves. Can release himself from the self-imposed cage he has created to allow himself to love again? Will she want to be with a convicted felon? How can she even look at him?

She never doubted him or their love for a minute. Waiting was never an option for her. He is a changed man but still the one she loves. Now if she could just get him to see what she sees.

This steamy second chance romance has everything you want in a romance story that breaks and melts your heart.

Need a Christmas present look no further.

This was such an amazing read by a gifted author! I was wowed, heart struck, filled with emotion all the way through reading! I never can put anything down this author creates! An amazing author!

I loved this story so much. Small town feel. And the history with Theodore and Robyn. He wanted redemption and to make things right and to live. Robyn totally sets his heart into a knot, but will she give him a second chance? There was so much true deep meaning to his past and that night he went to jail. I loved how realistic the book was, the impact it had on me, and how much I felt emotionally as I read! Love it!

Such a great new read from an author I love the work of dearly! Not one to be passed up for any means! Definitely a must read for sure! Highly recommend this book as well as an amazing author!

This book was very very good. It lost one star because the first part of the book took a little to get into. I thought the introductions of all the characters was a little clunky and overwhelming. There were so many introductions of the brotherhood that, while needed, felt very overwhelming.
However, once the plot gets going – it was impossible to put the book down. Pippa fled her ex-husband to protect herself and her family. She felt like she could finally let her guard down when she finds out that her ex-husband is in jail. However, she can’t relax long because soon her ex is coming for revenge.
Pippa shared one wonderful night with Diesel. Diesel is a member of the Navy SEALS. After that night, she finds herself pregnant. However, she never plans on anything more than one night. So she chooses to raise her child by herself. However, their lives become very entangled once Diesel realizes he has a son and that Pippa is in danger.
This was an amazing start to what will be a great series. I am anxiously awaiting book 2. I definitely recommend this quick read.

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by M Policicchio

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book has me so torn. There is so much good about it; the characters, the familial love, the ideals, the HEA, and more. There is just so much that frustrated me; Glen only getting 2 months of community service after everything, how quickly the process moved for Ted (if that were only true in real life), Judge Danforth!!!

Theodore “Ted” Bennett is just getting out on parole after serving 5 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Life, as it does, has moved on and left him behind. Ted must figure out where his place is in his family, in the family business, and in the world. He can only hope that one person has not moved on without him, the love of his life and the reason he made it through his time inside, Robyn.

Robyn had plans for her life but gave those up during a dark period. The one man she couldn’t live without went to prison for something he didn’t do. Robyn tried to have a life without him but only managed basic attempts, semi-relationships with men she didn’t love and barely liked, and a mostly dead-end job. When Ted was released from prison, Robyn found her way back to him. Could it lead back to a revival of her dreams?

Ted and Robyn had found their way back to each other and things were going smooth until one night when the past came back to slap Ted in the face, literally. Now, Ted’s freedom is at risk. Will he manage to avoid the temptation to fight back?

This author manages to pack in all the feels into a couple hundred pages. You are up, you are down. You are angry, you are happy. You are laughing, you are crying. It is a good thing it is a series because I hope we not only follow each sibling, but the family. These sweet stories are so worth the read.

Within the very first few pages this wonderful book had me hooked and Teddy had my heart engaged. After being given a very harsh sentence and jailed for something he didn’t do Teddy is finally home and trying to gain his life back. He just wants to serve his probationary period and get on with his life but of course not everyone feels that way so the path doesn’t run smoothly. Then of course there is Robyn the girl he left behind but has never ever forgotten ..can they truly have a second chance at love?
I just love everything about this book, the Bennett’s are a wonderful family, the setting perfect and this author is so talented and writes such creative storylines you won’t want to put this book down. Oh and there is just enough steam to make life interesting LOL! I loved the start to this series and can’t wait for more.

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher

This is the first book in a new series by an author who can do no wrong in my book. Yet again she’s totally blown it out of the park. This is a totally wonderful second chance romance set in a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business.
Set around the Bennett family, this is the story of Teddy. Teddy has just been released from prison for a crime he didn’t commit. All that’s kept him going is his love for his girlfriend Robyn but will she want to pick things up where they left it 6 years previously?
I absolutely loved Teddy and Robyn’s story. Both have been dealt such hard cards in life and if anyone deserves a HEA it’s definitely this couple. Of course the path to true love never runs smoothly and they have many obstacles to overcome.
This book really, really tugs on the heartstrings and there were a few occasions where the tissues were needed. This author is the queen of tear jerkers and never fails to drag me through so many emotions before getting to the HEA.
Would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

Theodore has spent the last five years in prison, for a crime he did not commit. Coming home is the best day of his life. He can’t wait to get back with his siblings and father. If only he never left that party and Robyn. Robyn, his high school sweetheart, has once again crossed his path. Leaving him to wonder if things changed? Will they reconnect or will he miss the opportunity for second chance romance? This story was in depth and a great read. The author is not new to me, yet this story took me by surprise. It was well written and fast paced. I could not put it down! I love the characters and how they communicated with each other. This was a fantastic story and I look forward to reading the next in this series..

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the beginning of a series and I must say it is starting with a strong, strong beginning. If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars I would. Not only was this book written really well, it has an amazing storyline. You would think that having the love of your life thrown in prison would make a girl change her mind and try to find love elsewhere. Not in this story she loves him fierce and waits for him. His whole family is super supportive as well. Don’t get me wrong this book does have some villains in it and they are horrible. I haven’t despised some characters in a book like this is long time. They are just horrible but I love it at the same time. It shows a depth of writing to make the reader feel so many different emotions and to actually despise a character is a pretty hard feeling to portray in a book. So kudos to this book.
The love that is shared between the main characters starts as bittersweet and transitions into full on passion. There are steamy scenes in this book that make you fan yourself. However, the drama is this book is all force and had me turning the pages and trying to read faster than I could just to see what was going to happen. You won’t want to put this book down. I stayed up way past a time that I should to finish this book because I had to know. It builds off of the secondary characters so you start to get a feel for what the next few books in the series are going to be about and it makes you love this story even more.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who believes in second chances, love a good second chance romance (that never really went away the first time), and loves to despise the bad guy. It is a quick read that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat but will make you swoon with your net breath. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this amazing series.

I really enjoyed this story. This is book 1 in The Bennetts Of Langston Falls Series and I can’t wait to see where the author takes this series. The writing is beautiful and the author creates lots of emotions and feelings through out the story captivates the reader and takes them on an emotional journey.

I really loved Teddy. He is such a selfless character and you can just tell he’s a really good guy. My heart broke for him when he loses years of his life through no fault of his own. He lost his freedom and the love of his life.
The girl he left behind Robyn has never stopped loving him and has put her entire life on hold waiting for the day he is released. When he returns can it be as easy as just picking up and carrying on from where their lives were stopped all those years ago?

If only, as our couple try to rebuild and have the live they always wanted there are people who are trying to stop that by getting Teddy in trouble yet again. Can they stay together this time? With the love or Robyn and the support of his family can they protect Teddy from the people against him or will history repeat itself and leave Teddy and Robyn separated once again.

Absolute heaven! This new series is so beautiful. Teddy is jailed for something he didn’t do. He has lost so much in 5 years. He finds his way back home to the ones he loves, including Robyn. Life isn’t easy and there are some big struggles for them both. This book is incredible. This author is one of my favorites because of her writing style. You feel like you are in the story with the characters. It’s very comfortable and down-home writing style. The characters feel like they could be your neighbors. I’ve been in a few small-towns that remind me of the description she uses for this town. The plot line stays smoothly on track. You can’t help but dive in and not come up for air until the story is done. You invest yourself in it, immerse yourself in the hometown tale. I can’t wait for more Bennet tales. Feb. 2023 seems so far (but I know it’s not). I will count down the days. Again, a beautiful hometown love story that will have your cry sad and happy tears. You are gonna feel all the emotions.

This book was a great read! Although I think the author could’ve chosen a better Shakespeare play, but all in all the writing, storyline, and pacing was great! The dual point of views was great to have. Juliet was frustrating at times when Jim was courting her. Both had a bit of a stubborn streak, but Juliet’s was increasingly frustrating. The passages of Romeo and Juliet were a nice touch. It was just enough to keep you going, but didn’t take away from the story.

I liked the chemistry between Nicco and Destiney. Their frustrating way of miscommunication in what they are looking for is something relatable. I enjoy slow burn romances where love is earned. I felt that the ending was a little rushed especially since the book took me a little bit to get into. Overall, it was a good read and I look forward to Book 2.

This was a great read. I find myself finding more military romances in my kindle as the days go by and I’m not sorry. While Tanner “Diesel” Taylor is waiting to get his next mission orders he goes to a masquerade party. Pippa too finds herself there after her friends talked her into going. She figures that there is little to no chance of seeing her ex and even if he did show up her face would be covered. Neither Tanner nor Pippa planned on having a steamy night and her leaving with his child growing in her belly. When her ex finds out she had another man’s child he is out for blood. Pippa along with her son have been kidnapped. She doesn’t expect that anyone will be looking for them, but little does she know Tanner is on the case. Will he be able to find them before something horrible happens?

Evelyn has just gotten out of a relationship that lasted longer than it should have. She isn’t looking to date at the moment, especially not her sexy-as-sin office partner. When the line is crossed and they end up spending one night together it has them both questioning whether or not there can be more. Eve is usually not the type of woman Devlin goes for but there is something about her that has him wanting more. One night wasn’t enough for either of them, but neither is willing to admit it. Eve is of the mind that it was a one time thing that will definitely never be happening again because he will get tired of chasing her soon enough. After all he is a womanizer isn’t he? Can Devlin convince her that what they had was more than one night?

This book is an entertaining and fun story with a suspenseful element added to it. I didn’t expect to find myself so amused by this book and yet time and again the characters and the story had me smiling. I thought the storyline was really well developed. It intrigued me right from the start and that lasted through the whole book.
Linda Burson is an author that I tend to come back to every now and again and every time I do I am glad. Her books are well written and just a joy to read, this being no exception. A great book.

This was such a good romance book. I tend to read when I am on my break at work and I can honestly say that I was truly upset when my break was over. I wanted to keep reading what was going to happen between Nicco and Destiny. I loved how there was a very slow build up to their romance. I wanted to read more when the story was over. I love the character of Nicco as he is what I want to believe many celebrities are like. Incredibly kind and caring. I also loved Destiny and her relationship with her best friend Candi. I loved how descriptive it was in the beginning about their friendship as we all have that friend that is the polar opposite of us. If it wasn’t for Candi’s personality Nicco and Destiny never would have been able to meet and connect. This was such a great book that I didn’t want to put down!

Finding Bryce (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 1)Finding Bryce by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding Bryce is a short, but sweet, contemporary romance novella which I really enjoyed. I really wish it had been a full length novel as I’d loved to have explored these two characters in more depth.
Pippa is in hiding from her ex-husband but is finally talked into going to a Halloween party by her friend. In a moment of weakness she has a one night stand with handsome SEAL Diesel Taylor. No names or numbers are exchanged but both can’t forget the other.
When they meet again a couple of years later their lives have both changed but the attraction is still there.
I really enjoyed Pippa and Diesel’s story. Although short, the author has managed to pack quite a bit into this novella. The storyline flows well and keeps the reader engaged, wanting to keep reading to see how their story turns out.
This is just the first book in the series and I look forward to reading more about Diesel’s fellow SEALs.

This was a great read. I was gripped right from the beginning. I loved the story and the authors attention to creating the characters really brought them to life.

Our leading lady Pippa has escaped a violent husband and is starting her life over. When she gets dragged to a fancy dress masquerade party she decides this is her time to ignite the passion back into her life and boy does she do that will an attractive gladiator who rocks her world. Given her past Pippa doesn’t want to give details out so they lose touch.

That handsome gladiator was Diesel. Part of the SEAL team. Diesel has had troubled relationships in the past but can’t get that one night with the woodland fairy out of his mind.

Fast forward 2 years. Pippa has a big surprise and is in great danger when her ex husband returns and wants to get to her.
Diesel returns wanting to find his fairy but is in for 2 big surprises. Firstly, there was a surprise left between Pippa and Diesel the night of the party and secondly, the woman he loves is taken by her violent ex.
Can he use his skills and training to save her. And what happens when he does save her? Will the connection still be there.

National Parks: An Angsty Second Chance Multicultural Romance by Laikyn Meng – Review by Angela Hayes

National ParksNational Parks by Laikyn Meng
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 Stars

National Parks by Laikyn Meng is a heartaching story that spans over a decade- a second chance contemporary romance which you really will need to read to see what happens and if there is a HEA in the end.
Ms. Meng is a ‘new-to-me’ author, but her story sounded intriguing, and the interesting cover drew me in- so I one-clicked a copy and set off to explore alongside the characters.
This new adult story proved to be quite and angsty and emotional multi-cultural romance. The author weaves a realistic story with cultural elements, family dynamics, family expectations, struggles, challenges, heartache, travel, and adventure through Phoebe and Enzo’s story- giving us a broader perspective of what was happening by providing an alternating point-of-view.
This might have been my first read by Ms. Meng, but after this emotional tale, it certainly won’t be my last. Looking forward to seeing what she does next.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Laikyn Meng!

Hot for Teacher - Shakespeare Made Us Fall in LoveHot for Teacher – Shakespeare Made Us Fall in Love by Felicia Carparelli
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Stars

Hot For Teacher- Shakespeare Made Us Fall in Love by Felicia Carparelli is a contemporary age-gap romance with a student/teacher element, more mature characters, second chances, finding love unexpectedly, taking a chance on love, humour, banter, opposites attract, and comes with a duel POV.
This was a ‘cute’ story, but I really wanted to love it much more than I did… and I’m not entirely sure why I didn’t invest in these characters and their story as much as I would have liked. As I said, it was cute n’ sweet- with an original take on the whole age gap/student-teacher trope, but I found it slow to get going and felt like it dragged in places, which resulted in ‘pulling’ me out of the story. And even though I quite ‘liked’ the characters, I didn’t connect with them like I hoped. I would have liked a little more drama, tension, and/or intensity to really put some ‘meat’ on the story’s bones to really grab my attention…. But it was not to be, so I have decided to revisit this book again in a few weeks and see if I still feel the same way, or if, perhaps, I was just having an ‘off’ reading day (confession- I had a bad dose of the flu at the time of reading, so perhaps that played a part in it all).
I am interested in reading more of this author’s work in the future to see what else she can do.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Felicia Carparelli!

Shotgun wielding grandpas and families dividing a town quite literally in two, are just a couple of issues she comes face-to-face with.

Are Billie and Leo destined to repeat history? Will their love be ill-fated like certain dramas? Or can they lead the way to a change that is much needed in their world fogged with hatred?

This is Mala’s chance at redemption.

Petty’s Crime (Satan’s Devils MC Las Vegas Book 3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Kayla Octaviano

Petty's Crime (Satan's Devils MC Las Vegas #3)Petty’s Crime by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I never thought I would understand Petty. This book brings a woman from Petty’s past that he ran from back into his life. Britney is a felon on parole for aggravated assault, and now she is, surprisingly, heading down to be with Petty again after ghosting him during her 7 years in prison. RoseLyn is a singer who needs to be protected from her stalker ex who sounds like he’d like to kill her. Luckily, the Satan’s Devils have been hired as her protective detail. Can Petty figure out his girl drama and right his life back to how he created it, with the Satan’s Devils as his family, and possibly a woman to love? This book is twisted, relatable, enticing, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Read it, it’s crazy!

Red’s Peril Part Two (Satan’s Devils MC Las Vegas Book 2) by Manda Mellett – Review by Kayla Octaviano

Red's Peril Part 2: The Prez's Old Lady (Satan's Devils MC Vegas #2)Red’s Peril Part 2: The Prez’s Old Lady by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think Red’s story is my favorite yet! After reading the prequel to this book, I had to keep reading! I could not put these books down! Just like all of the Satan’s Devils MC books, there are plot twists left and right, but this book was so good at surprising me! Now that Red is the MC prez in Vegas, he’s got it all. But somehow he still feels like he’s missing something. Zeke and Cher are that something. Zeke has their own problems at school, and throughout their life. Cher has always felt like she had to do everything on her own for her and Zeke. Turns out, she can rely on Red. But how much can she rely on someone who is the president of an outlaw motorcycle club? Read the final book about the Vegas chapter’s MC prez and see how his life turns out. 100% worth it, trust me!
