Aeris is spunky and curious which leads to her interaction with Callum, the attraction is instant. Can love conquer all? This book is so well written you wouldn’t be able to tell it was written by ten authors. This book is jam packed full of magic and mystery but the true magic is how all these authors came together to write one cohesive piece. It does have smut in so beware but other than that it’s a great read.

Finally, some insights. Not gonna lie Naomi Valkyrie has me by the horns with this series. I have wanted some more information on the mysterious tracker demon Teivel since his introduction in book one. Oren is no different, he is the only demon hunter descendant to make it out of that book alive and we need some insight into that part of this world. Dual perspectives of Teivel and Oren. Oren discovers he is a demon hunter descendant in book one but hasn’t been able to learn anything about what that means. Numerous online searches only result in Hollywood information and nothing real. He agrees to be trained by Teivel only for him to disappear for weeks and no word. Teivel only agreed to help his ex-Malakhi in book one because they both lost their lover, and he took his anger all out on him but now Oren is the true reason he can’t stay away now. Even if he can’t and won’t admit it to himself. A shot in the dark case knocks on Teivel’s door to find out if a dragon has survived and still lives. This keeps him busy and away until a visit to see Oren changes everything. The truth behind his “shot in the dark” case arrives literally at their doorstep. Along the way to learning how to be together they now must figure out how to care for this incredibly rare baby. Will they survive the changes? Can Teivel let go of the past to accept the new future? How will Oren deal with the new changes to who he is? Everything about this series is designed to pull you in to make you care for every new main character as much as you care about the first set. I love how the author brings in the characters in other books with bits and pieces here and there until you finally get the full story and see the growth that they go through. I cannot wait for book 4, Sure as Hell, to learn more about the new character Jaru, and of course Larkspur from book two and what will come next for them and Soren. See you there.

Drag Me Down can definitely be read as a standalone. I did not read the first three books in The Full Throttle Cyborgs series, but felt like I wasn’t missing out on much background information. I did, however, enjoy this book so much that I would love to go back and read the previous three in the series. Drag and Bridget’s story is full of passion, love, betrayal, distrust, and a whole lot of drama. This particular sci-fi series takes place on Mars (so many questions regarding that) and seems almost as if humanity has backtracked in their way of thinking and living (not wanting women to hold power or participate in any manual labor). However, Drag and Bridget think a little differently, which is refreshing. Landra Graf’s world building is great; I could feel myself in the heat of the day on Mars or the middle of the dome watching the car races. And the characters, while a little out there (it is sci-fi after all), are realistic, believable, and I couldn’t help but feel a connection with them. There is such a deep connection between Drag and Bridget that goes beyond the purely physical and it is, at times, heartbreaking to see the war that rages inside them both at their fear of being betrayed by the other. Overall, a great read for fans of sci-fi and romance alike. And I’m definitely going to pick up the rest of the series!

This book was REALLY well written. I loved reading the story of Barbara, and the note from the author in the beginning. The note was very thoughtful, as the author used the counsel of friends who would understand the life of a black woman in business from their perspective, and the author was very careful to share this from the start. Barbara is going through so many different changes in her life, and the author takes time to walk the reader through every trial! From a cheating fiance, to a canceled wedding, work woes, and all of this while being a black woman in a Caucasian male dominated industry. Not to mention the trials of meeting a new romantic partner while on vacation and returning to her own additional struggles with him. It’s so much to deal with for her, or for anyone for that matter, that is almost hard to see how she can get out of it! Barbara will soon find out that the trials run deeper as the story continues. This book made me fall in love with the characters, and learn about their ability to face each challenge, and their failures. It was such a fun book to read! You won’t be disappointed! I will definitely be reading more of the authors novels!
Tievel is a demon tracker and Orel is a demon hunter. Orel is also a deputy sheriff and he meets Tievel when the latter comes to Juniper Lake to help the sheriff, his ex. The two are immediately drawn to one another with a chemistry neither of them can deny.
Along the way, they have a baby dropped at their door they decide to keep, Larkspur joins the cast of characters and shakes things up, Tievel learns not to be so prickly all the time, Oren works through what his new title and the sexy demon catching his attention means for his future, and you meet a cast of well fleshed out, fun and intriguing characters in the world of Juniper Lake. This book was a much slower burn than I anticipated and usually reach for, but it was so adorable that the tension didn’t take away from anything.
This was the first book I’ve read in this series, but book 3 of the series. I didn’t feel lost by being in the middle of the series, but I do plan on going back to get the introductions to the cast of wonderful and engaging characters from them! Tension, chemistry, danger, attraction, paranormal and also relatable. Well written, cute and fun read, with likeable and relatable characters you’ll be laughing out loud at and cheering on!

Drag Me Down (Full Throttle Cyborgs Series) by Landra Graf. This is the 4th book in the Full Throttle Cyborgs series but it can be read as a standalone. I always recommend reading them in order to better understand the characters though. This is Drag & Bridget’s Story and Bridget trying to take over Drag’s gang. Drag and Bridget have a past and Drag has always loved Bridget but she has taken his heart and stomped all over it. Bridget has done so many bad things in her life to get where she wants to be she doesn’t know if she can do any different. Drag wants nothing to do with Bridget and her plan is to work with Drag but he doesn’t know that. He has his guard up and won’t let it down until he figures out what is going on. The fast cars and their fast lives make this a fast paced story that will have you flipping the pages until you are finished! Such a fun addition to this series! One of my favorites so far!

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is the second book in the Hot Flash Hookups Series. This is a Enemies to Lover’s/ Forbidden Romance that will pull you in from the beginning and have you turning the pages till the end . I do recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already started it. I’ve read other books by this author and this one may be my favorite yet. The characters are well developed, connectable,relatable and make the story come to life. The chemistry between them is electric. This is a wonderfully written story about a Hockey player who was dropped from the team and a kick butt agent who tougher than she seems. What will happen when she looses control? This is a fast paced story that I highly recommend reading to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The first book in the Elemental Passions series. A little slow to start but still pretty good once you move past the first couple of chapters where you get to know the characters. This book was so intriguing to me since it was the product of a collaboration between 10 different authors. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a paranormal romance. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This book caught my attention because it has multiple authors and I was curious how that would be written. I was very surprised that the story flowed so well with so many authors being a part of writing the story. It did start off a little slow but then really picks up. It has everything you can think of with romance, action and witty banter. I love the main characters and their forbidden love. You get all the paranormal you can think of in this book or at least most of them! Aeris is not supposed to be slipping into the human realm but what harm can it cause. Then comes Callum and there’s an instant connection. But it does pose the question how was he able to see through her glamor? Does this mean he is more than just your average human? This book will keep you wanting more. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

This is book 3 of the ‘Life is Hell’ series. Although you can read each book as a standalone, you are introduced to the characters in book 1. I recommend reading each book to get a better understanding of everyone’s personality. Plus, Naomi Valkyrie is awesome, as are all their books.
Teivel came to Juniper Lake as a one-time thing to hunt witches. After meeting Oren, he keeps making excuses to go back to the small town. He has no idea why though. He is a demon and Oren is a demon hunter. Their relationship is a big no-no and should be doomed from the start. Regardless, sparks ignite when these two are around each other.
Oren is interested but he thinks Teivel isn’t because he is emotionally distant and honestly kind of a jerk. No one can get through Teivels walls he put up around his heart. As a tracker demon, Teivel is always leaving with no notice which makes things even harder for him to open up. When a defenceless being appears on their doorstep. relationships are tested and the group of friends will have to band together to save the day once again.
When I was first introduced to Teivel, I did not like him much nor did I want him with Oren. Teivel appears to be a selfish and sarcastic jerk while Oren cares about others and seems sweet. They do not seem like a good match. As time went on and I got to know Teivel more and learn more about why he is how he is, I started to warm up to his character.
Naomi Valkyrie always writes their characters with such strong, unique personalities that you can’t help but fall in love with each one. I am excited for the new members of the clan and can’t wait to see where the author brings me next.

This second book in the series is just as good as or better than the first! I LOVED this one!! It is exciting, funny and has glorious sarcasm. The story held me captivated until the last page! The characters have a wonderful love/hate relationship with high sexual chemistry. I laughed with them and just delighted with their banter! They are both very witty! Secondary characters are wonderful! I liked how they moved the story forward but still held a memorable quality.
This writing team is a dynamic duo! They pour just the right amount of snark, laughs, heat and hockey into their stories. They had these characters go from like to extreme dislike to slowly coming around then lust then friends then lovers. What a ride! I loved every second and look forward to more!

This was a great 5 star read. I really liked this couple and their story. They had a history going back 10 years. When Kaitlyn is asked to be Banks’ new agent things get very interesting. Will she be able to help him? I have to say I had several LOL moments with the bantering between these two. Both of them were great characters, and the secondary characters added a great element to the story. There are a few different things going on in the book. These two authors pulled me in with their writing and I am really enjoying this series. I look forward to reading more from them. 1-click and get started today.

I loved this book so much! It was such a great read. From the very first page I was just totally in love with bath Kaitlyn (with a K) and Banks! They both had such great personalities and I loved that they wound each other up but underneath the chemistry was bubbling away. I really do love an older romance story now, I think I can definitely relate to the characters a lot more than stories with the young 20 somethings as the main characters. Kaitlyn was just such a down to earth person going through things that I can certainly relate to. She was focused on her career and she was good at it. I thought she was a wonderful female lead and I absolutely adored her. This is definitely one of my favourite books that I have read this year and I 100% recommend it!

With this book being written by so many authors I wasn’t sure what to expect (I have read collaborations like this before and was so disappointed) BUT I have to say to put it very simply I LOVED this book and I can’t wait for more!!! I mean how could I not love a steamy supernatural fantasy that captivates and holds your heart right from the very start. Callum and Aeris truly had me hooked as soon as I met each of them on the page. This truly is a fantastic start to what I know is going to be an amazing series.

The Better Man by Laurie L.C. Lewis was such a sweet country romance story. This story takes place on a ranch in Colorado, where our main character’s parents have decided it’s time to sell and retire. When their daughter, Laramee finds out about this, she rushes home to confront her estranged father and her mother, to question their decision and try to talk them out of selling. Unbeknownst to Laramee, Jaime has already been hired to assess the land and the property to help get the best-selling price for their ranch. The two start out on rocky ground seeing as they both have different thoughts in mind, but overall, they decide what’s best for the Stone family is to find out what the best price is that they can get for the ranch while making necessary upgrades to the property together. While they were looking around the property, Laramee showed Jaime a place that she holds near and dear to her heart that will change everything for the Stone family. On top of dealing with all of this business of assessing the ranch, both Jaime and Laramee have to work through the issues that they each have with their own families. As the two work through their issues, they also have to deal with Sutton, Laramee’s ex-fiancé who is jealous and overbearing.
I love that this story has such a soft approach to the building of the romance between the characters. The beauty of the setting in this story is so peaceful and serene, that it brings to mind what it would be like to live in a small country community away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The descriptions of the Colorado ranch are such that you can picture what it was like at its peak and then see where it stands now after the family tragedy happened, it is all sad and forlorn looking. The characters are so solidly built that they are like characters out of an old Western movie, with the strong leading ladies, the chivalrous males, and the contention between the families due to misunderstandings. What an amazing all-around storyline this book had, I cannot wait to go back and find the first book in the series and see who that tale was about. I hope to see that more books are being written in this series, it was such a great read, with just the right amount of turmoil and romance. @Brandy Rymer 04/2024

Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie. This is the 3rd installment in the Life is Hell series and its just as good as the 1st and 2nd if not better. I love Naomi Valkyrie so anything she writes I try to read. Its still set in Juniper Lake that seems so serene and peaceful but is anything but that. This is the story of Oren and Teivel who we met in the previous books but not much was told about them. Oren is a demon hunter who turns to demon Teivel for help in his training. He has tried to find anyone but Teivel but couldn’t come up with anyone else. This ends up being a mess for Oren because he is still a little new to the idea of being a Hunter and he also find Teivel a little attractive! The two have chemistry for days! This story is full of danger, mystery, family and romance. You won’t be able to turn the pages fast enough. Do yourself a favor and read them in order. You will be so glad you did!

The Better Man (A Silver Buckle Romance Series) by Laurie Lewis. This is the second book in the Silvery Buckle Brides series and I really enjoyed it. It can be read as as standalone but I always recommend reading series in order. It’s the story of Laramie who has been called back home by her mom. She has been gone for a while now because of hard feelings but she will do anything for the ranch she grew up on. When she arrives she has no idea that a realtor named Jamie will be there to appraise the ranch and find out its worth. When Laramie meets Jamie its not love at first sight in fact there is some major friction but as they spend time together they begin to develop feelings for one another. Laramie will do whatever it takes to save the ranch but she and Jamie both have secrets from their past and when they come up it could destroy the ranch and their relationship. This is a good clean Romance that will have you flipping pages late in the night.

I went into this not reading the first three books of the series, I believe each book can be read as a standalone, but I enjoyed all the side characters, so I want to go back to read all their stories as well. I also thought it was so cool that they all live on Mars so I’m hoping book one has more about that. I felt no hatred between Drag and Bridget, again, that could be addressed in another book I will have to go back and find out myself. But I loved their chemistry and glad that their hated for one another didn’t last long. I liked that the story was fast paced, their living environment doesn’t feel like one where you can slow down anyway. The story made me feel a little like I was in the Fast and Furious on mars and recommend to readers who are into stories like that. It was a great and entertaining read.

I love the romance between Barbara and Sebastian, they bring the best out of each other like true love deserves to do. I enjoyed this book because even this Barbara’s multiple life changes, she still stays positive and moves forward thus defining and shaping the women she is meant to become. It is a story about how love can bring the best out of us. This was the first of the Bold Journeys that I have read but it will not be the last.

This book has a lot of authors. That’s what I found super unique. You know the book was gonna be good If all of them had to sign off on it. After I dove in, I knew I was right. This was the first book of Elemental Passions stories, and honestly it sucked me in from the beginning. I could not put this book down. I felt like I flew through this book, because I just had to know what happened next. Like with fae, centaurs, werewolves, drama, trolls, danger, adventure and elemental powers (fire , earth, air, and water) just to name a few what’s not to love. I also loved Aeris and Callums forbidden love at first sight lmao. The suspense and ups and downs in this story had me on my toes. Also it taught me something I didn’t know of before, a Sylph. So i highly recommend this reading this book Omg and I can’t wait for the next books!! Bring them one I’m so ready to go back into this creative magical world these authors have built.

Mars, gang-towns, racing, secrets. Love the worlds Landra Graf creates. While this is the fourth book in the series I mostly did fine with understanding the story the only confusion in some ways was not fully understanding the past of some of the other characters in relation to the female lead of this book. As she says at one point in the room with all four male leads of the series so far, Snapper, Jack, Hemi and Drag, “she has left her mark on all of them.” Primarily told through the perspectives of Drag and Bridget. Twelve years have passed since Drag lost everything. His gang, his home, and the only woman he ever loved, not to mention his arm. Now he is about to be at the same place again, the Mars Racing Championship. The night before the big qualifying race his past comes back asking for the mother of all favors. In the time since “that” day Bridget hasn’t been able to be herself, to drop the act. To be herself she risks losing everything, including herself. Now is her chance, all she needs is him and she can have her cover to get the proof she needs to rid not only herself but the entire planet of Mars of the monster that is Moag Cheatham. The sponsor that truly ruined her entire life and the future she and Drag had planned for themselves, together. Both feel betrayed. Both feel that it’s a trap that will close in around them at any moment. Moag wants to replace Briget if she continues to decline his proposal, to bring in someone more subservient who he can control. Drag wants to revive his town to its former glory, to help his people and thrive once again. Is this real or just another act? Will Bridget get the proof in time? Loved it!!! This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last. I loved the snarky dynamics between the two main characters. While the chances of getting with a pro athlete are small, the characters were relatable and the plot wasn’t far-fetched. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series.
