If you’ve been in a reading funk lately, like me, it’s been hard to find a book to catch and hold your attention. Let me tell you, THIS is the author and book to cure you. This author has a way with words and story development that will keep you awake all night reading until you’re finished. I’m not in high school anymore, yet this brought me right back there, with the drama, bullying, hormonally-driven emotions, irrational thinking, and questionable decisions. The characters were easy to relate to, and I really liked how the author nailed the different social classes and styles. Nathan and Holly both went through a rollercoaster that is high school, with a twist. Great coming of age story. I must say, I would love to read more on Gothlet!
This book, like the other two before it, is an exceptional read. Filled with cute characters, a great storyline which is a cute romantic story and the author makes every story worth reading. Check it out!

I went into this book with an open mind as its not my usual genre HOWEVER I am so glad I picked up this books! A.C. Kramer might be my new author to watch because as much as I loved this book I think I need to read everything I can by this author.
This book was written so well and had such a hook that the reader was brought in and couldn’t leave! The characters are wonderful, the story is well written and the author was able to bring the readers in so that we lived the book with the characters!

Kramer – Review by Kay Stritesky
Remember our friend Morgan , the ER nurse had an op and it very near killed her but she pulled through thankfully but she walked away with that special gift , well some will call it a curse but I think it’s a gift in any case , she’s kind enough to share her friends with us and let me tell you something if you thought round 1 was entertaining , hold on to your hats because this one is even better 😉
So we pick up where we left off really and all seems good in Morgan’s life , her love life seems to be bliss , her work situation it as good as it gets and she seems to live in harmony with her “other” residents but life isn’t a bed of roses and as life would have it drama is sure to toss her life salad a bit …..
Morgan is a tough cookie though she can handle things and in her own way so you go girl !
Thank you for letting me sit on the sidelines and watch , I laughed so hard at times and on more than 1 occasion I thanked my lucky stars I wasn’t in your shoes 😉

This is the type of book to sweep you right off your feet and into the lives of both characters to be a fly on the wall in their story. It was romantic, funny at times, but most of all charming as it teased you with these two falling in love but doing so naturally and innocent. Pretty easy to read and straight to the point. Entertaining till the last page with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. By having read previous works of the author’s I highly recommend this one and many more.

The Cave Of Ruin Arsa The Cross Of Ciaran: Book 3 By: Andrea Matthews Review by: Susan Ratchford 5 Stars
While trying to put his past behind him and move on with his new life, his wife and unborn twins, Ciaran is plagued with dreams of the long dead priest Ruadhan stealing it all away from him. As Aodhan plans a wedding of his own, the two brothers try to decipher the meaning of these dreams that are causing Ciarans anxiety and inner turmoil. Surely there is no way that Ruadhan, the chief priest, loyal to his goddess, suffered the same fate as they did and arose to tell the tale? Until an empty tomb is found by Aodhan and the other archaeologists, and more pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Will Ciaran be able to save his family and his new life? Or will his forgotten past come to steal the present as well? I am so happy that there will be another book in this series. I love Ciaran’s and Caitlin’s story and was so easily swept into their lives. This installment was so exciting and has plenty of suspense, mystery, with twists and turns you never see coming. I loved learning more about Aodhan and seeing that he found someone like Niamh. This series is just so captivating and heartwarming and the characters possess so much realism. I thoroughly recommend starting this series at book 1, The Cross of Ciaran, and joining Andrea Matthews as she takes you on a 1500 year adventure!!!

What a fitting title! I was intrigued by the title and the description. I figured it would be dark, and it was, but I loved it. I finished it in just a couple hours. I loved not only Sydney’s character, but Kage’s as well. The author did a great job of world building, as I felt like I was there. It is definitely a page turner with plenty of twists! It will keep you guessing. If you like dark and twisted stories, this is a great choice.

This was a solid book with a good, intriguing storyline that keeps your attention. There was a lot of depth to the characters, especially the main characters, Holly and Nathan. Holly, new to town wants to fit in, but is immediately rejected but the popular group. Even so, she is still interested in Nathan and learns he’s been keeping a secret. Will it all unravel? Can real relationships be built on secrets and lies?
This was a well-written, interesting story. The authors writing style reels the reader in and the topics covered within the story are relevant to teen life today. I could see this being a popular read among teens and young adults for that reason. I was engaged in the story all the way through and enjoyed it overall.

I couldn’t wait for this book to come out and I was not disappointed. It is one intense ride. Triad Resumption is a dark and powerful paranormal MC romance and the sixth book in the series. Book 5 A Tormented Man’s Soul: Part One was raw and gritty and broke my heart and this one is just the same. It is full of emotions, pain, and sorrow, heartbreak, and crushed and tormented soul and all the feelings are palpable as we journey along on this fight.
I recommend reading all the previous books in the series. There are all the other MC characters along with their backstories and other important information you should know before starting this book.
Chains is a complex man and his torment didn’t stop after his rescue; he is a broken and haunted man. Now he must face the demons of his past to have a future he wants. With his MC brothers, Jackson and Winnie at his back he must become the dark heartless, ruthless, and violent enforcer to find the enemy.

Apparently, I have been craving some major Vampire vs. Vampire hunter action. Along with reading this novel, I also was one of the many that have gotten hooked on the show First Kill, and I have to say, this novel took precedence over my show binging while recovering from a cold, which says a lot! I absolutely loved the way the characters developed over the course of this adventure, and how they just couldn’t keep away from one another. Action, undeniable chemistry, and two crazy people by their own right, and even more so together!
This author has a special talent when it comes to starting the novel off, and keeping the readers nose deep in the pages until the very end. At least, that’s why I think, as this is the first, and certainly not the last novel I will be reading by them, especially when it comes to the sassy and egotistically combination that are Sam and Layla! Well done, will be reading this series and recommending it, no doubt.

This was the second book I read by this author and just like the first, it did not disappoint! I love her style of writing and that the books draw you in. I read this book over a very short period of time simply because it was impossible to put down. I love the way she builds her characters and that as the reader I can relate to some of the things going on in their lives and that helps me to feel like I am a part of the story too. Sol and Ember were great characters and the connection they developed and the similar interest they had made them fit perfectly together. I really enjoyed how the author threw in how Ember had a long-time crush and that had the chance of becoming more. Overall I highly recommend this book and any others you may come across by this author as they will not disappoint you!

Sydney is invited to go to The Lodge with some classmates for Spring Break. What she thinks is going to be a vacation spent with hoity-toity privileged rich kids….but it turns out to be anything but that! She finds herself as a pawn in a game of Truth or Kill. Being that she doesn’t have the secrets, or want to know their secrets, she needs to find out how to survive when she is expendable to all the other players. She does find herself drawn to Kage…but he seems to have his own agenda. Kage is a dark, yet somehow also intriguing, character. He trusts no one, despite wanting to have Sydney for himself. She must prove herself…which turns out to be difficult to read at times. Understanding why things have to happen and reading them actually happening is tormenting. However, the sheer ruthlessness and depravity of the game was captivating. I found myself pulled into this story and couldn’t step away from it…even though it felt like I needed to at times. It is captivating. Sydney and Kage are both strong characters. Sydney is not afraid to stand up for herself or take people’s crap…but she also knows when to follow someone else’s lead and align herself with people for a common goal. Overall, an entertaining story that I enjoyed reading!

I have a new favorite Genre. Author. Both! I finished this novel yesterday and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The way that the author wrote the story, integrating the characters and the emotions and the points of view throughout, as well as establishing the scene and allowing for the reader to be completely immersed in the Lodge and the Game.
J, K, and L’s backstory is immaculately woven and explains why they live the way they live, and what their endgame is. I will most certainly be reading more by this author and have sent a link to this lovely literary adventure to a few folks already. Was there a Game? I guess you will have to read this thriller and find out! Amazing, just didn’t want it to end!

Remi is a self-made billionaire with a past that has hardened him and has him living in a perpetual dark place. Audri, his best-friend’s sister, is successful in her own right and is working for Remi. She has always had a special place in her heart for Remi…and now she wants to help him out of that dark place, while fighting her own darkness. Their love is forbidden and blurs many lines…but also reveals secrets that could destroy them. Can they overcome the darkness…or will they be destined to dwell there forever?!? First of all…this is not your normal brother’s best friend story…this is so much more!! There were so many twists and turns…and their pasts have pushed them to be the successful people they are today…but those same pasts threaten to tear them down and apart. I was sucked into this story til the very end. A great book by a new-to-me author. I will definitely be checking out what they write next!

Oh, mama if I can say 6 out of 5 but there are only 5 stars. Sera sounds like a woman that both males and females will love to have. Cassius has no idea what he is getting into and Sera has no idea what to do with her dad and Cassius. But this hot relationship is a sticky mess that I have ever read. The author did an amazing job with these two characters and how both of them make the lava in a volcano seem weak compared to these two. But what will Sera do with her dad and what will Cassius do?

This is the third book in this series…and this one is all about Krystina. Krystina plans to travel the world and blog about it (and hopefully become famous doing it). However, when her childhood frenemy, Loukas, tags along…Krystina feels like that plan is down the drain. As the two find the balance of being in each other’s spaces…they find themselves meeting obstacles that Loukas helps Krystina through. Add in some feelings…a missing grandpa mystery…and some good ole friends-to enemies-to friends-to maybe more?!?…and you have got this story in a nutshell.
There were emotional ups and downs during this story which kept me engaged the whole time. I enjoyed reading Krystina’s story. I have read the previous books and highly suggest reading them as well (although you don’t need to in order to understand this story). Another good book in this series.

4 out of 5 stars because I was worried for Ellawyn’s life. This book is amazing and so sad how Ellawyn had to leave her life behind due to some troubles she had. Other wise of that I would gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. But when she finally found a place where she can be herself and feel like she is protected, she has no clue that those dark storms come back into her life. But true love found its way to her through the bookstore she loves to go in and stay until closing and found comfort. So I have to say the Author had me so sad at first and sacred when Ellawyn was in danger. But happy when Backett came alone for her.

An enjoyable and engaging historical romance, which had me hooked from start to finish. Although becoming a mail-order bride can be a dangerous thing for a woman to do, it’s the only option left for Isabella. Who having arrived in America from Sweden, suffers the death of her parents and then looses her job when the factory burns down. Isabella starts to communicate by letter with Donald Jenks, a wealthy man from Yellow Springs Ohio who wants a wife. Donald describes Isabella’s dream home, and he appears to be a perfect husband for her. However, she has to reach Ohio safely before she can even meet Donald, and with white slavers abducting females from the train this puts her in danger. On the train she meets ‘Tom’, a Pinkerton agent, who is on the case of the disappearing women, and he’s Isabella’s only hope when she’s selected to be the next victim. Even if Isabella is saved by Tom, it’s not guaranteed that she will get her HEA with Donald, as Isabella starts to wonder why such a successful and handsome businessman would need a mail-order bride. After all, he could have had his pick of the young ladies near Yellow Springs. This is a romance with plenty of drama and suspense, and the plot had many twists in it that kept me both gripped and guessing as to Isabella’s outcome. The descriptive narrative and added historical details brought both the setting and era vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the storyline. The characters were well described and I felt engaged with Isabella and her plight, and was hoping that she would get her HEA. An entertaining read and one which I definitely recommend.

This novel stole a couple days of my time and I am not at all mad about it. Once I started reading it, it was nearly impossible to put down. This book has it all: action, sci-fi, romance, and suspense. On top of the amazing plot, the characters are incredible. I still cannot decide if I prefer Mia or Castor because they are both loveable in their own ways.
This book can be read as a stand alone, but I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you go back and read the first in this series. This author knows how to captivate a reader and steal a couple hours of your time. Before you know it, it is midnight and your partner is asking why you are still up reading.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the twist and turns. The plot of the story was unique and gripping. I couldn’t stop reading until I got to the end. The author does an amazing job with the characters. I love how strong and determined Sydney’s character is. I also love how dark Kage is. His struggle to do what he needs to so or protect the woman he has fallen for is interesting to read, you can feel his struggle. This is a very dark romance, with twists and turns. I loved the idea of a game being played and making a decision between being truthful or losing their life.
Sydney was invited to join her friends on a retreat however this is no normal retreat. There is a sinister plot at hand which will see some of the people on the retreat end up dead. But the reason for this will be a shock to everyone involved.
Sydney needs to find out the reason she was brought here and find a way to survive and escape with her life.
Kage is a worker at the retreat or so everyone thinks. However he has a secret. Kage is a killer and also one of the 3 masterminds behind the game of Truth or kill. His plan is to stick to the plan and make sure the people on the retreat get what they deserve. However Sydney wasn’t part of that plan and her appearance has changed things. As his feelings for her grow he doesn’t want her to be another murder victim he wants her for himself but will she be able to deal with everything he has done or will she know to much and reject him which means she will have to die.

This is the first time reading this author and I was glad I picked it up. The Lie that Binds is a well written YA novel. The characters are well written, and I like the change of point of views. This gives the novel a better perspective. It gives you high school drama as well as a lie that needs to be protected. If you like YA will like this story of Holly and Nathan. I will be looking for and reading more from Amy Argent.
OMG!!!! I honestly loved this book so much, from the mysteriousness of “The Lodge” to the “staff”I am so glad that I chose it. Sydney and Kage remind me of Christian Grey and Anastasia with their physical descriptions of the romance between them. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2, with Sydney, Kage, L, and J. I am hoping that the other two find love as well. I seriously am fascinated with the outcome of this story. I feel like the endgame didn’t really happen that there is more to it.

“There are some who can live without wild things, and there are those who cannot.” -Aldo Leopold
This book, Devils Breath, really surprised me with how much I really enjoyed it. I think we have all come to expect the same storylines from romance novels no matter what genre they fall into. This was a romantic suspense, femme fatale type romance. Devils Breath was fresh and new for me and I was pulled into the book immediately. Cover to cover Cassius, Sera, and Raine kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a wild thrill ride from start to finish and the ending was great. I really like the main characters from the start. Sera’s journey within herself, from caged, monstrous, ice queen, with ultimate control, made by her father, to the warm, welcoming, emotional woman she really was just looking for someone to show her what love really means was pretty powerful after everything she’d had to endure her entire life. Cassius with his stoicism, and endless patience but ruthlessness when needed made him very endearing to me as a reader. No one in real life is perfect, everyone is fighting some type of battle we know nothing about. The author made the characters so real and human I felt like they could jump off the page. There were even a few times in the book that made me laugh and giggle while reading it. The author’s ability to stitch all of that together was flawless and everything came together very well. 5 thumbs up for Devils Breath. I would definitely recommend giving it a try especially if your tired of that same old romance troupe.

The Book Of Carraig The Cross of Ciaran: Book 2 By: Andrea Matthews Review by: Susan Ratchford 5 stars
With the help of Father Mike, Ciaran has been able to keep his 1500 year old past a secret from Caitlin and others for almost a year. With two out of three of the entombed priests missing, the rumor mill is flying, and Ciaran and Caitlin embark on a new expedition to Ireland. To the site of the tombs where Ciaran lay still all those years, but the homeland that Ciaran remembers has vastly changed, the land and water engulfing most of what he used to know. He can only think of his lost wife Aisling, the chance he has to find her body and finally put her to rest properly, and of his brother Aodhan, who was entombed next to him, the only priest left whose body never vanished, sleeping as he was. His plans for them must be put on hold however, when a serial rapist and murderer starts roaming the land. Something about the attacks are familiar to Ciaran, a 1500 year old memory he long thought buried. The book of Carraig is the only thing that could answer these burning questions he has about himself and his old life, but can he find it before someone else does? He will have to risk his life and his secret to bring an end to this turmoil. Great continuation of the series! This installment ups the tension ten fold as Ciaran struggles more and more to keep his secret!!! I seriously could not read fast enough to find out what happens to Caitlin, Ciaran, and Bradiegh. This series just keeps getting better and better. There are so many strong emotions in this book as Ciaran looks back on his former life while wrestling with the guilt of his new found happiness with Caitlin. It really struck a chord with me. I can’t wait to dig into the final book! I highly recommend this series has it all! Great world building, action, suspense, romance, and wonderful characters!

The Cross Of Ciaran Cross Of Ciaran Series: Book 1 By: Andrea Matthews Review By: Susan Ratchford 5 Stars
After a gruesome ritual for his goddess leaves him entombed, comatose in a cave for 1500 years, the Celtic Priest Ciaran, is finally unearthed by Archaeologist Caitlin O’Connell. The exquisite find turns from amazing to extraordinary when two other tombs are located in close proximity to the first. Before even the first tests can be done however, the priest’s body disappears without a trace leaving Ms. O’Connell with more questions than answers. Awake and Wandering the streets of New York Ciaran finds sanctuary in the only thing he can find familiarity in, the Church. There he finds Father Mike who helps him get accustomed to this strange new world. Moonlighting as the new handyman, Ciaran tries his best to deal with his past, that is, until his present comes knocking at the door in the form of Father Mike’s niece, Caitlin O’Connell. Still distraught and determined to find her missing Priest, she is very suspicious of her Uncle Mike’s new handyman. Will all of Ciaran’s secrets unravel because of this persistent woman? What would happen to him if she found out? I loved this book. It was so engaging and fun to read. I really loved Caitlin’s character, her stubbornness and her spirit. The pace and the flow seemed so effortless that I just got absorbed by the story not even realizing how long I was reading for. It was so easy to get emotionally invested. Such a unique and heartwarming tale with great character development. You really root for Caitlin and Ciaran! I really enjoyed seeing Ciaran react to the present and to the way people spoke. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!! I highly recommend this book!!!!

This was part 2 which picked up where A Tormented Man’s Soul left off. This book takes you for an intense adventure with Chains and the rest of the Grimms Wolves MC. I have read this series since the beginning and I love the action, adventure, romance, and suspense that come with it. This book delivers sooo much into the story and gives us insight and backstory into the story of Chains, Winnie and Jackson. Every character has their own quirks and personality. What makes the story so fantastic is that that author carries each person over to each book and it’s just like the story continues with different perspectives. They are all one big family. The plot always flows smooth, even from book to book. No choppiness. There will be plot twists or surprises and I do enjoy those. This is one of my favorite MC series. I enjoy the series because of the writing. I can feel the emotion in the writing. I am looking forward to the next new book.

This amazing author has done it again! I have loved this series since book one, and part one of this book was mind blowing, and this one I must say exceeded my expectations! Loved it so freaking much!
I loved this one takes place where we left off with Chains. Winnie and Jackson also had a very important role in this story. I loved this book that when you think you got stuff figured out, more things happen. The darkness that comes from within was really deep. The secrets, you name it! I was hooked. The author does such an amazing job in writing their books! I am always hooked! With this installment specifically, I laughed, cried, and I felt so freaking much! I loved that aspect so much. The book and conclusion to this book was deep, and as a reader and fan, that was exactly what I wanted! This book was a truthfully amazing read!
I loved this installment so much! If you have not read part one, or other books, please go back and read them! I highly recommend this must read book, as well as author! Very much a high recommendation!

The debut novel for this author is amazing. I am definitely now a fan. Sera is an assassin, amongst other things, and very good at what she does. Her next mark, Cassius, is not like any one she has ever met. These characters come right off the page, and not just the main characters. The supporting characters were just as well developed. I was so lost in the pages that it was easy to forget the world around me. The story was suspenseful and sexy. I cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us in the future.
