Witty rom com with paranormal twist The second book in the series and it is just as good. The story picks up straight away and Morgan has made great progress with her house guests and things start to change with her abilities. I really enjoy Morgan’s narrative, with the laugh out loud moments interwoven with mystery, drama and romance. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.

We are back with Morgan and her unpredictable life. As with the first book she continues to have visitors from beyond and continues to be an amazing nurse. This author is fast becoming a favorite as she writes with so much passion, emotion and depth. She truly loves her characters and wants her readers to love them as well. This is the second book in a series and in order to fully get the story you shouldn’t jump over book one. You won’t regret reading this series.

I lie to keep a secret that would destroy everything in my life if everyone knew.
Holly is the new girl at school and my unwilling lab partner. She hates me because I’m one of the popular guys—one of the bullies who terrorize the unfortunate and the unpopular. For me, it’s who I’ve had to become to keep anyone from getting too close—close enough to see right through me.
When Holly finds out my secret, I have to do whatever it takes to keep her quiet—even if it means telling the most damaging lie of all—the one I tell myself.
Amy Argent is an avid reader and writer of contemporary romance. Amy can honestly say she writes day and night —clinical trial documents as a medical writer by day and contemporary romance as a novelist by night . . . and possibly into the wee hours of the morning. She has a Ph.D. in Genetics that she agonized entirely too much over, but it did result in a fascinating day job—the details of which tend to creep into her fiction.
Amy can be found in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband, two teenagers, and two hedgehogs, where she’s most likely planning her next departure from reality — destination: Dragon Con, the closest Renaissance Faire, or the nearest book.
Amy has always been fascinated by the many ways people cope with the human condition. Her stories explore the emotional journey we take when adversity drastically changes life’s course, but being an eternal optimist, she’s found her niche in soulful stories with silver linings. In truth, they can always be found if one is willing to look for them.

Morgan Cutler is back and this time she has even more ghostly friends. She has made peace with those that occupy her house, but a new one has cropped up and she intends to find out why. This one is named Esmerelda and it seems that Morgan’s new boyfriend has caught her eye. Why has Esmerelda tried to attach herself to Caleb? Having come to terms with her newfound abilities she is starting to see more people who haven’t fully crossed over in the hospital. Do they need help in finishing business they were unable to finish? I enjoyed the first book of this series and I have enjoyed this one just as much. This book could be read as a stand alone, however there are a few returning characters and there are references to the first book. Overall the author did a good job of reigning the reader in and gave us a good plot. I felt that the story flowed well and didn’t drag on too long. I do hope there is another book in this series and look forward to reading it when it comes out.

Distant Heart Memories is the second book in the Nurse Morgan Series by Kate MacInnis. As with the first book, this is an original, fun and spooky paranormal romance- with humour, ghosts, drama, mystery, and emotion. This book, and series is giving me some real ‘Ghost Whisperer’ vibes, which I really love- but in an entirely original and intriguing way. As we discovered in the first book, Morgan Cutler is a seasoned ER nurse- with more than 20 years’ experience, and she genuinely thought nothing could surprise her anymore. But life threw her a curve-ball, with a bit of a spooky twist, when a near-death experience left Morgan with new-found psychic abilities. This turned her life upside down- and opened her up to a world she never really believed existed, while finding romance along the way. This instalment sees her dealing with her new found abilities, and all the ghosts that ‘pop’ up everywhere. Her romance with a certain hunky doctor is going well, moving a little more quickly than she expected. Add in her resident spirits, as well as a difficult and determined man-hungry ghost with her own agenda, and life gets a bit tricky for Morgan. The first book was great, but this second instalment is even better. I am hooked on Morgan’s supernatural ‘adventures’ and can’t wait to see where we go from here. Happy Reading!

3.8/5 Stars This book is a short, fast paced romance. Ember is a new fire fighter that’s in love with her old mentor, Sol. Sol is struggling mentally due to an accident that has left him scarred. This book begins to dive into the importance of mental health in men which is a huge topic. I’m glad to see Sol in therapy and taking the right steps to better himself and work through his trauma.

Wow! What a read this was. I really am at a loss for words but wanted to try and get my thoughts out while still fresh and I can’t even form a cohesive sentence without gushing about how great this story was.
This author draws you right in and you are taken through the emotional ups and downs and loops until you are trying to turn the page and there is no more pages left. I will be reading more by this author and cannot wait for the second in this series.
There just is not enough words in my vocabulary at this time to express how much I loved this book

Isabella: Bride of Ohio, American Mail Order Bride By Debra Parmley 5*
This is a very well written historical fiction novel. Isabella is a new immigrant to America from Sweden and sadness is all she knows in this new world. She arrived at Ellis Island with her parents, who were struck with an illness and had to quarantine upon their arrival. Unfortunately, they never made it off Ellis Island. She obtained work in a factory, however, it soon burned down and she was without a job. She finds a job as a housemaid when a friend brings her a mail order bride magazine, filled with notes from prospective men who are looking for brides. She begins to correspond with Mr. Jenks, a man from Ohio who promises her the life she has always dreamed of. She is promised a big house, with beautiful gardens and a white picket fence. He is saying all the right things and she is excited to travel to Ohio to meet him. He sends her the money to travel to Ohio to meet. While on the train, Isabella is nearly abducted by men who wish to traffick her. A man she met on the train comes to her rescue. He says that he is not quite a constable, but he works with them. The chemistry she felt with him was undeniable and she cannot help but keep wishing that he had swept her of her feet and kissed her after rescuing her. She keeps finding herself daydreaming about him. However, she can’t stay focused on him long, as she has promised herself to Mr. Jenks and he is waiting for her when she gets to Ohio. When she meets Mr. Jenks, she is overwhelmed by the urgency in his presence. He cares all about what she looks like and how she presents herself to his world. She finds herself agreeing to marry him and married all within the first week of meeting him. She feels that Mr. Jenks never heard her concerns or what she wanted. She was disappointed that she was unable to wear her mothers wedding gown as this is all she has ever dreamed off. And she was not allowed to carry her fathers Bible as it was deemed as too old looking. Soon, Isabella feels that Mr. Jenks is changing before her eyes. He is becoming angry and quick to dismiss her. This isn’t the marriage she had dreamed of when she responded to his advertisement. She also can’t tell if she is beginning to imagine his coldness toward her. No one, not even Isabella could ever imagine what the future holds, however. The relationship between Mr. Jenks and Isabella is the focus of this book. I have to say this book was very good. It did a great job portraying what I imagine the emotions are in being a mail order bride. It also did a really good job exploring complex relationships. I cannot express how much I enjoyed this book!

This 2nd book to the series was enjoyable and fun and definitely did not disappoint!! I continue to love ER Nurse Morgan Cutler as she embraces her psychic abilities seeing ghosts. Making peace with her “friends” then turns the seductress, Esmeralda. Gahh!!! All that Esmeralda wants is Morgan’s love interest, Dr. Caleb. As Morgan tries to fight off Esmeralda, she has to also balance insomnia, work, ghosts everywhere and the Wilkersons, will Morgan keep Esmeralda at bay and her relationship with Caleb in tact? Definitely read and find out! This is a great read!

I’m always up for a best friend/little sister romance and then author throws some suspense in the mix, you know you will love it! She does an amazing job right from the beginning grabbing our interest and drawing you in quickly. The characters are easy to connect to and you love them from the start. This my first read by this author and I’m in lust with this book and can’t wait to read more of this amazing series.

This book starts off immediately after the first one in the series so I suggest reading the first book before starting this one.
Morgan is finally at peace with her house guests. To make things work between the three, they set boundaries in place. The ghosts are following the house rules mostly causing a relaxing atmosphere. That is until another ghost appears.
The new guest is a sexy woman named Esmeralda Camarillo Castillo. She is a vixen and when she sees a man she wants, she pounces. Unfortunately, her eyes are set on Caleb. Caleb and Morgan are very new into their relationship and already they have to worry about another woman. On top of all that, Esmeralda has decided to make Morgan’s life complicated in other departments too.
Morgan is trying to keep up with everything going on around her but is having trouble doing so while ghosts are now everywhere in her life.
The author has once again taken a ghost story and turned it into something completely unique. I love that there is suspense and mystery but then there is also romance and comedy. I love Morgan. She is confident and doesn’t change for anybody. She knows who she is and lets everyone see her. Life tries to tear her down but she just stands back up and shows her strength.

Our favorite nurse is back with a second installment to her series. Full of great characters, a fantastic plot, romance and more i just simply couldn’t put this book down. I was first drawn to this book by its beautiful cover, amd great synopsis. Not to mention the fact that I was blown away by nurse Morgan and her supporting characters. Morgan has finally made peace with the ghosts in her house, but what happens when there are ghosts everywhere she turns? Not only that but what if they aren’t all nice? Will Morgan be able to make peace with these ghosts? Will she be able to nail down mr right, or will esmerelda get to him first? You’ll have to read this great second installment to find out for yourself.

Kate MacInnis did it again with the second book in the nurse Morgan series. These books are just such an easy fun read, something you can laugh at, fret over, and just appreciate. The perfect books to cozy up to and consume from cover to cover. I couldn’t put it down and can’t help but fall more in love with all of our characters, living and not! This contemporary romance was incredible. When I first found this series I was a little worried about trying it just due to the fact that the series is written by several different authors. But I was definitely wrong, this author like the others provided us with a novel full of emotions, angst, romance, chemistry, hope and so much more. The characters are amazing, the plot was interesting, and the series as a whole has really blown me away. So if your looking for a new romance read to pick up this week, then make sure you take a look into this one.

I’m a huge fan of a story that can be short but doesn’t make you notice that it is. While it’s a shorter read it wasn’t hindered in anyway. I truly felt an easy connection to the characters and the overall storyline and that’s not always easy but this author did it very well. From page one I couldn’t put it down and finished it rather quickly and enjoyed all of it. There’s just something about these two characters that spoke a little deeper to me and I’ll remember them for a while. If you’re looking for an amazing shorter read I highly recommend this story. Four big stars!

But here’s my thoughts, you you’re looking for a story to keep you on your toes and the edge of your seat but also give you all the emotions you could think of go one click this bad boy. From start to finish I had no idea how things would go and I loved every minute of it. The characters are complex and relatable, they simply pull you into a world you’ll find it hard to leave at the end. It’s well written and paced nicely, the characters will stay with well after you reach the end. Five huge stars and highly recommended!

Distant Memories: A Nurse Morgan series is the second book in this delightful series. I recommend reading the first book before this one since the story picks up where it left off. Nurse Morgan has got the spirits in her home under control. The ground rules have been laid. She’s in a romance with Dr. Caleb Lightfoot. But now there are some new challenges presenting themselves. The story is full of laughs, some thoughtful emotional moments, and more. I really like seeing how Nurse Morgan is developing as a character and the spirits in her home make me laugh. I look forward to reading more about Nurse Morgan’s life soon.

Having been introduced to Emergency Room nurse Morgan Cutler, in book one in this series, I was looking forward to ‘catching up’ with her, and I was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted paranormal romance, which kept me entertained and happily turning the pages. Morgan has now come to terms with her new psychic abilities and has even made peace with the ghosts in her little house on Melody Lane. Her love life is also going well with the, “Mr. Too Good to Be True” MD Caleb, but he does seem to be moving a little too fast and Morgan knows he has a reputation as a heartbreaker. However, when seductress, Esmeralda Camarillo Castillo, visits from the other side and sets her sights on Caleb, Morgan is not willing to let her get her hands on him. Morgan is also having to deal with all the ghosts which are literally everywhere, and especially those that are up to no good.
As Morgan tries to keep her paranormal life and her ‘normal’ life in order, her worries cause her to have insomnia, which becomes dangerous when she’s the nurse on-call. Morgan is determined that those from the afterlife will not destroy her relationship, career, life or the hospital, and she will do it with her sense of humour intact! The storyline flows well and the plot had me hooked from start to finish. Morgan is a great main character who brings the story together. This is a fun read, with plenty of laughs but also a lot of heart, and it left me with a feel good feeling.

Such a cute and quick romantic read (because you won’t want to put it down). This is book 3 in The Meraki series. I do recommend that you read the other books, but this is fine as a standalone. This is the story of Krystina and Loukas as they journey from childhood friends to frenemies to realizing that Love is definitely worth fighting for. This book definitely hits all your heart strings! You really can’t help loving the characters Effie Kammenou did an outstanding job.

What a great way to continue a series. I loved this story and how easy it was to fall back into Morgan’s life. It is so entertaining to experience everything that she does. As the second book in the series I would recommend reading them in order to get full enjoyment. This book had me laughing at times but also has a real emotional depth to it. I connected with both the story and the characters and I thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through. I thought this was a great addition to the series.

I enjoyed reading this book. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the first book as well to help your enhancement of the characters. This a well written story about family, hope and the past and present. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. They are strong, supportive characters that I had no problem relating to. I enjoyed how they brought their story to life. They took me on an emotional roller coaster including laughter a few times. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and hard to put down. There is great growth with the plot as well as the characters, it made the story easy to read. You don’t want to miss this story. I highly recommend reading this book and find out what happens to this nurse next.

In the sequel to Distant Heart Sounds, the story picks right back up where the first ended. Morgan is now living in peace with her ghostly roommates, and she even has a steady romance. All seems picture perfect, but of course, it cannot remain. There is still much activity at work, many more mysteries to solve, and a newer visitor at home that is less then cooperative. Will Morgan find balance, solve mysteries, and stay in her romance honey-moon phase?
The book, like the first, is easy to follow and intriguing. There is still much going on in all aspects of the MCs life, so once again it can be a little difficult to keep track. There will most certainly be some laughs along the way, and some parts that are creepy! In general, the characters are well developed and the story is fun. I recommend picking this one up if you are looking for mystery, paranormal, and an overall fun read, but read the first book first! Will definitely be looking for more from this author!

This is the second book in The Nurse Morgan Series. We are back with Nurse Morgan as we join her on the journey of understanding her psychic abilities. This story is full of laughter and Nurse Morgan is one fiesty lady who knows what she wants. After the illness Nurse Morgan suffered in the first book she realised her near death experience left her with the ability to communicate and speak to the dead. With a heartthrob on her side in the shape of Caleb they both try to understand her new abilities. Things seems to be running smoothly until another spirit shows up in her home and this spirit isn’t there to be friends. She has her eyes and hands on one thing only and that’s Morgans new lover. She becomes real trouble for Morgan when she starts causing trouble at the hospital. Morgan knows she needs to be stopped and she will need help from all her friends both living and passed to do this. Now Morgan has to find a way of stopping this she devil from getting her claws into Caleb, as well as working her normal job and solving a mystery or a time loop that’s happening in the hospital. Oh yeah and not forgetting that the first spirit she helped (Gloria) has told all the other spirit people that Morgan can help solve their deaths. This story is action packed and full of laughter and drama which will keep the reader entertained throughout.

This is the second book in this amazing romantic paranormal series. I enjoyed this book even more than the first if that is even possible. Once again I laughed until I cried reading this book. The author picked up from the end of the first book which is exactly what I prefer in a book series. I love how she mixes in the humor with the ghostly residents that she interacts with. That makes it so intriguing for me to read. It also kept me on the edge of my seat flying from one page to the next. I highly recommend this series for any fan of romantic comedies that isn’t afraid of a little unnatural beings mixed in. I’m already waiting to get book three in my hands.

We are back with our very own ghost loving Nurse Morgan. Elisabeth and Jonathan Wilkerson are finally getting more familiar with their routine as well as working compromises out with Morgan. She is also working on her new relationship with Doctor Caleb, who is a handsome man and she hopes to keep. A new ghost lady comes into view at her house, and it’s game on to keep her away from Caleb. At the same time, Morgan is still working on balance with relationship, work, and ghosts everywhere. This book made it more intriguing! This series is good to snuggle on the couch and read!

I loved the first book in the series, and this one certainly took the cake just as much! I loved the romance, suspense, rivalry, ghosts, you name it! There was so much to love! I think I loved Nurse Morgan even more than the first book! I saw a lot of growth with her and her abilities in this book installment!
Nurse Morgan is such a delightful character. She had to handle her job and ghosts. I was surprised that her abilities developed to a new found land, but it was more than welcome to my eyes! I found there was more in depth for this book. Esmeralda quickly became a new character I could not stand. I think I had among the same opinions as others on the hospital staff team. I knew there was something deep on Esmeralda and her character, I did not know till I further ventured down that rabbit hole! Caleb was a great addition as well, I loved the anticipation of the love triangle and loved how Nurse Morgan stayed string and valiant! I loved the character development with all sides of this novel! It was a quick read, I laughed, sat edge of my seat, cheered, and of course kept on reading! Loved this book!
The first book was wonderful, but this one I truly did love even more! I cant wait to see what adventures are next for Nurse Morgan! I love this author and their splendid writing skills, and I do very much highly recommend this series, this must read boo, and of course this author! Truly a must read!

Conveniently Yours is the first book in the Titans of Manhatten series. This book follows Caspian Archer and Paisley Fischer. Caspian is a CEO and Paisley is struggling and financially down on her luck. This book follows the fake marriage troupe which has been done repeatedly within romance and in my opinion is extremely difficult to do well. This author did this well and I would recommend this. Paisley is such a genuinely lovely person you cannot help but love.

Nurse Morgan is back again, only this time has some arm candy in the new hot doctor working at her hospital. She’s finally got her new friends in her home to play by her rules and they have mutual understandings for each other and their personal space. Life is going well until Esmeralda shows up. I picture her looking like Elvira and she’s all over Dr. Caleb. Morgan isn’t going to stand for that and she’s doing everything she can to stand up to Esmeralda. Things at the hospital take some weird turns too. This is a super fun book that was hard to put down! I can’t wait for more of Nurse Morgan!

Burned by Fire (Firehouse 13 Book 4) by Danielle Jacks. I really enjoyed this book. Its the story of Sol who is a retired Firefighter who is feeling like he he has lost his purpose after a accident and has pretty much become an alcoholic to numb the pain. Ember who is a new fire department recruit wants Sol to get help but knows that Sol has to want to be helped first. Sol is so very bitter about everything that happened but Ember really wants to help him. As they spend more and more time together Ember finally gets Sol to talk about what happens. Ember is so passionate about her job but she is finding out that she is just as passionate about Sol. Will they be able to work past Sol’s demons and have a meaningful relationship or will Sol self destruct. Read Burned by Fire to find out!

Nurse Morgan is still trying to adjust to her newly discovered abilities to see, communicate with, and help ghosts both at home and in her job as a nurse. Not only can she now see ghosts and auras, but she can also now see time loops and even interact with the ghosts who are stuck in them. However, as her new relationship with Dr. Caleb Lightfoot, progresses, a new ghost at home, and at work, causes issues for everyone in both planes. Esmeralda is a man obsessed ghost who is determined to get what, and who, she wants. When she sets her eyes on Caleb, Morgan knows she has to do something to get rid of her. She’s only further assured that she’s on the right path when Esmy starts causing issues at the hospital, from pushing patients to cross over, to inappropriately touching patients and staff members and shattering glass and harming hospital workers. Morgan is going to need help from her friends to handle this particular problem, both living and ghost.
