Targeting Dart (Satan’s Devils MC #4) AUDIO BOOK

By Manda Mellett

5 stars

I’m going to be honest that although I absolutely give this 5 stars because the writing is great and the storyline – it’s probably my least favourite of all the stories and I can’t really put my finger on why. Maybe I didn’t connect with the characters as much as I wanted or something I’m really not sure but what I do know is as usual the story is excellently written with a great pace and flow. The characters were a little harder to get to know but they were really well developed and I liked to see other characters from previous stories pop up as well. I did like the connection that Dart and Alex had – I just wish that Alex knew how special she was regardless of how she thought she looked! The narration of the audio book was excellent as always.

This box set is the complete series. Five full length books! Each book is a standalone about a new couple and this box set is full of swoony heroes and strong women!

Each book in the series offers so many emotions and all the ups and downs you could need. There’s drama and twists and you’ll be on the edge of your seat. The great thing about the box set is you can still read out of order if you’d prefer.

I don’t want to give too much away about any of the books but I will say each book is well written and all of the characters are great! I think you’re going to have a hard time picking a favorite because I definitely did.

This book hit my sweet tooth just right. That includes both the romance and the delicious sounding treats. The humour was also well done. I got some looks for laughing out loud at some of the scenes.
Lara and Graham’s story was a delicious one!

A fun contemporary romance with twists and turns to keep you reading through the night

I really enjoyed this novel and the unexpected twists and turns it took me on. At first I thought this was simply a second chance romance novel with a bit of lovers-to enemies-to lovers trope, but it is so much more than that. The author takes you on a journey with Angie and Blade finding their way back to one another and fighting against the forces that wish to keep them apart.

I enjoyed the writers aspect, with Angie being a journalist (and doodler) who is pitching new ideas to her new boss. I also loved the fan-mail addition (those stories will keep you hooting in laughter). We get to see Blade acting as the new editor in chief for the magazine from the sidelines too. the journalism aspect of the book allowed some insight into an occupation I haven’t had much chance to read about in romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I absolutely adored the supportive cast of Angie’s mom, Belle, and Rat. Their addition tended to bring some levity and more realness to the story.

I highly recommend this book for those looking for a fairly quick, romantic buildup, twisty read.

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5)Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

KG is a story teller that brings a story to life. A compilation boxset of contemporary romance stories from one of KG’s best series is a must have. Not one but five books where you don’t have to worry about getting the next book. What more could you want?

Book 1 – Run to the Sea

A wonderful story about second chances. It is an emotional but heart-warming read and well written with characters that are sweet and lovable, sexy and each a little broken. The story complex and multi layered and yet totally simplistic and sizzling and sweet, sexy and tender.

Emeline was startled to see the man in front of her, her childhood best friend was just a boy when left. Seeing him now dredges up so many memories.

Thomas has lost himself and now he is back in the one place he once loved so much, a place that may soothe his soul. What he finds and finally realises is something he should have known.

Book 2 – Stars Fall From the Sky

Is the most beautiful heart wrenching story I have read in a while. Beware lots of tissues are needed. K.G. writing transcends the usual storytelling to a magical place where you completely lose yourself and become entwined with the characters.

Ginger finally had it all, life was a dream but one second that was all ripped away and now she had to try to work through it and live again.

Jonathon is the new doctor in town but behind the happy façade is a sad and broken man.

Book 3 – A Sun So Bright

is a very emotive story and the feelings felt real and raw. Fiona has gone from villain and stuck-up rich girl to real and feeling which had me wondering exactly how it would work but KG did a great job of making it work. This story grabbed me right in the heart and swept me away.

Fiona has always been a stuck-up rich girl, but the parties and life is getting old. She wants more and what her friends have. It’s NYE and she should be enjoying herself but it’s not happening. What she does do is surprise herself when she asks someone to enter into a deal with her but what she doesn’t realise is that that deal is one of the best things she has ever done in her life.

Chris doesn’t know whether or not she is serious, but it seems she is. When he agrees to her terms, he didn’t know that it would change is life forever.

Book 4 – I’ll See You Again

A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4) by K.G. Fletcher is another hit in her writing history. KG puts her heart and soul into her stories and her characters and it makes the stories that much more believable and enjoyable. This one will tug on the ol’ heart strings and bring out all the feels. I loved the MC’s bantering, which made me laugh but then there were some pretty intense moments as well as some steamy ones.

Book 5 – A Cold Creek Christmas

A steamy romance tale that has all the feels. It is a second chance story that takes you to a magical place where you completely lose yourself. The story is everything from romantic and sweet, to sorrow and loss, painful memories to love and healing. The wonderful characters, and engaging storyline, along with the beautiful setting this romance story will have you enthralled.

Painful memories make what is supposed to be the most magical time of year painful for her. Christmas is his favourite time of year and when he learns her story, he wants to make it a special time for her.

Angelina and Blade were a couple deeply Inlove but they were from different areas. Blade had money and Angie was just the daughter of the towns cleaning lady and Blade’s mom hated Angie.
After Angie had enough she just decided to leave town one night after Blade took her home without a single word to him. He was heartbroken when he had no idea where she went or why. She was heartbroken for everything she gave up.

Imagine Angie’s surprise one morning when she walked into work to pitch a story to her boss and none other then Blade was sitting in the chair and he was her new boss!

I thought this book was well written, the author did a great job keeping the reader interested in the book and it flowed perfectly. There’s a lot more to the book then what I mentioned. Grab your copy today.

This book is part of a series of stand-alones, books that are related but each can be read on their own or in any order. It was my second time reading this author’s work and, like the first time, I really enjoyed this book.
When Angelina steps into her boss’ office, all excited by her new idea for an article, she’s totally unprepared to find her boss has retired and his replacement is non other than Blade, the only man she has ever loved.
This can be described as a second chance romance but also an opposites attract as Angelina and Blade both come from very different backgrounds, with Blade coming from a wealthy family and Angelina from a very poor family, an issue which caused problems for them.
I really enjoyed reading Angelina and Blade’s story. Their chemistry is hot and they are both really interesting characters who you can easily relate to and be swallowed up by their story and the journey that they take you on.
The storyline flows well and is very well written, which kept me engaged from the beginning, right up to the end.

When fate brings her and Gavyn together, they start out trying to keep their distance from each other but the attraction is undeniable. They have so many obstacles standing in their way that they have to overcome. I really enjoyed the magic aspect and the progression of enemies to falling in love. I was cheering for Ember and Gavyn the whole time and I am so excited to read the next books to come in this series. If you enjoy magic, romance and action this is one book you won’t want to miss!

The Curse of a FaebloodThe Curse of a Faeblood by M.K. Lorber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have found a new author. MK is relatively new as an author this being her second book but her first fantasy book. She also has a short story shared with a compilation of authors. I very much liked her writing style. Paranormal/fantasy is one of my fav genres. The world MK has created for this series is exciting and beautifully done and a variable delight for the imagination.

There is a cast of thousands and there is a lot going on but the intrigue and action pull you in. The characters were well-developed and interesting and I enjoyed the banter, sarcasm and sassiness, it made the story fun. I look forward to seeing how MK brings other character stories to life. This story has some steam and romance, heroes and adventures, fae and humans, magic and elite fighters, thieves and action, lies and betrayal.

This story started out a bit slow and at times seemed to drag but overall, I did enjoy this tale and look forward to the other books.

They fell and they fell hard. Him an alpha elite human fighter and her a magical fae thief.

Starting off with the FMC having just lost her mom, we follow her to a new town where she is caught stealing. She finds a new family in this town as well as a warrior as delicious as they come. Naturally they push against each other (enemies to lovers) and while doing this they balance families, fights, and fighting attraction. Great first book in a new series!

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5)

Run to the Sea is the first book in the Reigning Hearts series. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them all.

Emmeline and Thomas have such a sweet story. They started out as childhood best friends and then Thomas disappeared without a word. They run into one after quite a few years and they are both blind sided by the run in.

Thomas had lost who he was due to being blinded by an ambition to prove himself. This story is so much more than a romance it is also about someone rediscovering who they are and where they really belong with a little help from friends and family.

Stars Fall From the Sky is the second book in the Reigning Hearts series.

I fell in love with this story from the beginning. I cried on and off all the way through and was so emotional after finishing it in had to give myself some time to process the story and my emotions.

Ginger’s grief slayed me. I cried for her so many times even when I wasn’t reading the book which doesn’t happen to me very often.

Jonathan was charming, sweet and overall an amazing man. He was more important in Ginger’s working past her grief than either one of them realized.

This is an amazing book about a woman and a man having a second chance in love and worth every year I shed and second I spent reading it.

A Sun So Bright is the third book in the Reigning Hearts series. This one got me in the feels big time.

Fiona the poor little rich girl is so much more than what we saw before. We we get to know the real her and learn why she is the way she is.

Chris is not your average guy. He is an amazing man who would do anything for his Mama and that’s important to us Southern girls.

Chris brings out the best of and the real Fiona and because of him she discovers who she really is and her purpose in life.

I’ll See You Again: A Scottish rock star, standalone opposites-attract romance (Reigning Hearts Book 4)

Oh my goodness, this book had me all over the place. I laughed and was happy, I got angry and even cried reading this book. I had a few moments where I really wasn’t happy with the direction of the story but it wouldn’t have worked any other way so I got over it. Sort of.

Nicky finally has her story with a little help from her friend Amber. What girl hasn’t dreamt of meeting a hot musician? I can remember quiet a few I dreamt about over the years.

Mac had me wrapped around his finger fairly early on and it only got worse (for me) as I read further.

A Cold Creek Christmas: A single dad, small town holiday novella (Reigning Hearts Book 5)

This book saved me while I was home sick.  I was able read it between my naps and even helped me stay awake a little longer because I did not want to put it down.

Amber and I had something huge in common and that is neither of us being a big fan of Christmas. Our reasons are similar but different.  I loved watching Amber evolve from lonely but content to a happy and in love.

I enjoyed this story so much and loved the way it ended.  Happy tears may have been shed.

Reigning Hearts is a cute series of five stand alone books that together make you lose yourself in other peoples stories!
Each book is heartfelt, with wonderful characters! Together all of these books “fit” but each one is special by itself.
Book 1: Run to the Sea, follow friends find that coveted more than friends place to be!
Book 2: Stars fall from the Sky, do second chances really exist?
Book 3:A sun so bright, can enemies find a common ground and become lovers?
Book 4: I’ll see you again, the person who is opposite of everything you are can they be the one?
Book 5: A cold creek Christmas, follow the single dad as happiness ever after tempts fate!

The author was so capable of bring each of these to life. Characters flew off the pages and I yearned to know more about each story!

If I had to choose a personal favorite, Book 5 pulled at my heartstrings and had me most engrossed!

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5) by KG Fletcher. This is an amazing contemporary romance set. It has 5 full stand alone romances but I highly recommend reading them all. The 1st book is Run to the Sea, Its the story of Emeline Fischer and Thomas Capshaw aka Cappy who are best friends growing up on the beaches of Florida. Emeline is an artist who has to work all kinds of jobs to make ends meet. Cappy has moved on to New York City working as a Sketch Artist. When he finds out he was given his grandpa’s beach cottage after he passed he heads back to Florida. He never expected to see Emeline again but he runs right into her at the cafe he visits. They end up going down memory lane and emotions are all over the place. A very good 2nd chance romance. My other favorite is the 5th book, A Cold Creek Christmas, his is the perfect hallmark, holiday story! Its the story of Amber Tatum who hates the holidays. She is a local pub owner and has always wanted a family of her own but life has not given her what she wants. Trauma from her childhood has left her sad, bitter and tired. Giovanni Sentier a single dad who has gone thru a dramatic divorce has moved back to town to take over his Grandmothers cafe. He is ready to settle down but is having trouble balancing work and home life. Being a chef is a 24/7 job. When Amber meets Giovanni she is struck with how good looking he is. Sparks fly and she feels a chemistry with him that she’s never felt before. All 5 of these books will get you in your feels and ready to read more!

I have personally never read anything by this author but this fantastic romantic/fantasy was a great place to start. The character development was fantastic and the story was so great that I couldn’t put it down. But in truth this story had so much to offer from romance, to action, to fantasy, and of course magic. But what really drew me to this book was the beautiful front cover and the synopsis. However neither of them could have prepared me for how amazing this story really is. So if your looking for a great new book, then make sure you pick this one up today.

Unabridged is the second installment in the Lovestruck series, staring Blade and Angelina, as ex-lovers who are offered a second chance at love when they are forced to work together at a literary magazine. These two have amazing chemistry right from the get-go. Angelina is a badass woman with a big heart, who cares for her mother and her friends. Her voice is original and as the story’s narrator, you feel like you’re right beside her the whole time. Her pain and joy are experienced firsthand. Blade makes for a sexy boss who knows what he wants and is loyal to Angelina. He is powerful and intelligent. As far as book boyfriends go, Blade is an ideal man. The spice scenes in this book were hot! If you’re just finishing a dark romance this book is an excellent palate cleanser with true romance and a happy ending!

I loved this boxed set of five full length, standalone contemporary romances, and I ‘binge read’ them all. Each story is wonderfully written with likeable and relatable characters, a fascinating storyline, and a plot which has just enough drama along with the romance. The main characters always have plenty of chemistry which of course leads to some steamy scenes. The whole series took me on an emotional rollercoaster, and I felt completely immersed in each heartwarming story and engaged with all the characters.

In ‘Run to the Sea’, Thomas and Emeline are childhood friends who become lovers in a beach romance. Ginger and Doctor Jonathon Walden are the couple having a second chance at love in a small town setting in, ‘Stars Fall From the Sky’. Billionaire heiress Fiona meets bartender Chris in, ‘A Sun So Bright’, which has an enemies to lovers theme. ‘I’ll See You Again’, is a Scottish rock star, opposites attract romance when Nicky and Mac meet. Then single Dad and Christmas lover Giovanni Sentieri meets ‘Grinch’, Amber in, ‘A Cold Creek Christmas’.

This was an enjoyable and engaging series of romances which kept me hooked from book one until book five!

The Curse of a Faeblood (The Faeblood Series Book 1) by MK Lorber – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.

The Curse of a FaebloodThe Curse of a Faeblood by M.K. Lorber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ember is a young woman who is on the run, she is in danger because of who and what she is, she is a Faeblood and that is to some a gift and to some a curse, so she has lived all her life moving from place to place with her mother until the unthinkable happens and she has to continue her perilous journey on her own. As she drifts from place to place, all Ember has ever wanted is to have a place in a community, friends and family around her and somewhere she can call home, but she knows that it will never happen because of her heritage and the risks she has to take on the roads are not something a young woman should be doing alone, never mind one who has yet to grieve the only family she has ever known.

Gavyn is a young man in the peak of his life, he is the head trainer of the local elite fighting school where he trains young men and women in the art of fighting and discipline, as part of the annual tithe paid to the nobility who own the land they live on, he is a well honed machine and uses the skills he has learned over his life so far to instil these values in those around him. He is a part of a brotherhood, a family who he will defend above all others and this protective instinct has enabled him to rise through the ranks and become the leaders right hand man, it also means that he knows everything which happens in the village he lives in.

One day Ember attempts to steal something to eat from the cart of a vendor in a small village, however, she has caught Gavyn’s watchful eye and is caught, but the offer to pay off her debt is hard to resist, but she knows that she has to hide her true nature from those around her, no matter how much she wishes to become part of the community she has dropped into. Meanwhile, the nobles who live in the Castle at the heart of the Kingdom of Morvak are as far from the peasants they exact the tithe from as can be, they debate over who has the most pure Faeblood, but even they have their own hierarchy and it is on this foundation that they have built their lives, but all that changes when someone with Faeblood is found outside of the Castle walls.

As the days pass and Ember and Gavyn cannot deny that the more time they spend in each others presence, the more that an attraction is building, but neither of them can let down their walls because of the fears they have for those around them, but when it comes to saving those they love, will they be able to stay apart and keep their passion under wraps, or will it bring danger closer than ever? This is a story full of family, both lost and found, secrets, truths and magic, as tangled webs of emotions and reality are weaved around a village where respect and honesty are valued, lies and deceit are frowned upon and a tenuous balance is maintained, where you become sucked into a world which pulls you along until you know what happens in the end.

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5)Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is wonderful box set – I have read 4 of the books and they were all fantastic 5 star reads for me! I love the authors easy to read writing style and her amazing characters who you just cannot help but fall in love with!

Book 1 – Run to the sea

Run to the Sea was a wonderful read by K G Fletcher and one that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. I really love this author and all of the books that I have read by her so far have all been wonderful reads. She has a writing style that is easy to read and her stories flow really well. She creates some amazing characters and Thomas and Emeline were no exceptions! I love a second chance romance and I absolutely adored watching these two characters come back together again and I was rooting for them to fall in love from the start! There were a few obstacles in their way but their story really had me hooked and I really grew to love then over their journey together. There were also some good supporting characters and I am really looking forward to reading more about them in the next book in the series!

Book 2 – Stars fall from the sky

I really liked the story, it was an emotional read and the author definitely got the feels across. I did kind of guess what might happen but that didn’t matter because I really liked the characters. Ginger was a sweet character and I really felt for her with everything that happened. Her love for Rusty and Daisy just poured off the pages at the beginning and so did her grief as the story progressed. I could feel the connection she found with Jonathon, I really liked him!!

Book 3 – A Sun So Bright

Again another wonderful book in this series. The characters were great although it did take a little time for me to warm to Fiona I did eventually and the plot was definitely romantic.

Book 5 – A Cold Creek Christmas

This was such a lovely, heart-warming Christmas read. I really do love this author and this is one of my favourites by her so far! I really liked Amber and Giovanni, both really likeable and relatable characters I felt. I also really loved that real feeling the story had. Giovanni was such a perfect gentleman and form the moment him and Amber met I knew they would be perfect for each other and I was rooting for them the whole way through.

Unabridged (Lovestruck Series Book 2) by Melinda De Ross – Review by Katie Matthews

Unabridged (Smart & Sassy in the City, #2)Unabridged by Melinda De Ross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a fun romantic comedy that had me laughing out loud a few times. I’ve read books by this author before and found her writing light hearted and easy to read an again I found that with this book. The characters were relatable and I enjoyed reading about them. I think it was obvious that Angelina still had feelings for Blade and I could feel the connection that they had during their interactions. They did have chemistry and the author wrote the sex scenes well in my opinion.
I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

This is fun romance story that was entertaining from start to finish. I thought it was lighthearted and easy to read and a great way to pass a few hours.
The characters were interesting. They had strong chemistry and I loved that there was the tension between them from their history.
The Book is well written. You could see the development the whole way through. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I will definitely be reading rhe rest of the series.

The Cruiser (The Hustlers Trilogy Book 1) by Rowan Rossler – Review by Katie Matthews

The Cruiser (The Hustlers Trilogy, #1)The Cruiser by Rowan Rossler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a really good read and a fantastic introduction to a new author! I knew from the very first page that it was going to be one of those books that once you start reading then you can’t stop and I was right. I loved the characters probably the first time I have read a book with two very dominant main characters and it was so fun to read about them. Another huge plus fir this book was the authors beautiful descriptions of the settings, I definitely want to visit Monaco now she makes it sounds absolutely amazing!
I really do highly recommend this story, it was a fantastic romance read with some very steamy moments! It’s well written and was a pure joy to read. I am very excited to read more from this author again in the future.

This entire series is absolutely a must read!
If you want an emotional roller coaster, with all the feels and more, this is the series for you.

I don’t think this author could write a book i didn’t like. From page 1 i am immersed in what will be a story that takes me on a journey. Each character feels like a friend and I find a little of myself in each one.
