Oh my word, this is one of the best romances I’ve read this year! Yes, it’s early January and this book is funny, romantic and down to earth. It kind of makes me think of a Hallmark movie (minus the octogenarians fooling around). The chemistry between CC and Brant is palpable. The supporting characters are terrific. Having read a few of the other books in the series, I love how the other carries on the story likes its just life in a small town. It can be read as a stand alone but you’ll enjoy it as a series also. The story and the characters are very relatable. Joys of small town life, a fun and quick read that you just have to give a whirl to. I highly recommend this one.
A Fangtastic five-star read. This is number six in the New Orleans Nocturns and it can be read as stand-alone, but they are best read as a series as they are just so good and all of the characters just build into a great world, you would only want to go back and find out more about everyone so do yourself a favour and start from number one. This story will have you chuckling away to yourself, honestly the way this author crafts their characters is just sublime, they feel like the crazies in your life. Who knew a succubi on a diet would be so much fun and so deep.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a very action packed adventure which kept twisting and turning at every turn. You never knew who were the good guys and the bad and the final twist will surprise you most of all. I love both Cam and Lydia characters. Both of them are strong and determined people on their own but their insecurities make them feel human. One thing that you definately feel is the love between them and how strong their desire is to protect each other.
The story starts with Cam being kidnapped. He has buried a ring which is worth a load of money and now the bad guys want it. By kidnapping Cam they can then use Lydia to find this ring in exchange for Cams life. However things don’t go to plan and Lydia is left wondering who is the friend and who is the enemy. Add to this confusion an ex who is trying to worm his way back into Lydia’s life by force if necessary and Lydia has a hell of a job remaining focused on saving her love Cam.

I enjoyed this romance story that has a twist of suspense added to it. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing style as well as their ability to pull me in from the first word. The author’s use of details made the story feel realistic. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next with the characters. The characters are not only relatable but kept the story engaging. I enjoyed how they brought life to the story as well as made it easy to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. Lydia is determined to get her man back. She is faced with bullets and killers as she goes on her adventure through the jungle to get him. I enjoyed her character and is my favorite of the story. She is a determined, strong character who made the story entertaining to read. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

This is not my first audio by this author but it is really worth the listen too. I enjoyed how the narrator’s tones of voice made the story engaging and left me wanting to listen to more. They brought the characters to life and kept it engaging. This is Slick’s story from the Satan’s Devils MC series.His story is a little sad but second chances could mean a happy ever after for him. I loved the characters and what they brought to the story. They are strong, steamy and connectable. This is great audio that I highly recommend. This is a must listen to and you don’t want to miss it.

It had been awhile since I read this ebook and of course jumped at the chance to have it read to me once again. She did an amazing job picking her narrators for this book and I literally listened to it in a little over a day including breaks.
This one came right out of the shoot tearing at my emotions, and I’m not sure those emotions ever evened out. This one kinda sorta has two storylines, one started back in book #1 and I love the way that was all handled..took me a second and I was like whoa hold on this sounds familiar then I actually went back and paid attention to the times given to me at the beginning of the chapters.
My heart is still completely broken and there’s parts of this book that will still play out later and I’m actually not looking forward to those because I know they aren’t going to be easy. Not going to go into any of that because you really just need to pick this up to appreciate all of the emotions.
Slick has absolutely positively won every ounce of respect I can muster up, I felt so bad for him because he didn’t know the whole story about Ella and what she went through and acted rashly, as well as how Ella was dealing with it all. There are alot of moving parts to this whole book, and in some ways it’s because I know what is to come down the road. This is now another of my favorites from all of these series, although I’ve read them all I still can not wait now to grab every audible going forward.
Please do yourself a favor and lose yourself in this Satan’s Devils world…it is absolutely positively no doubt about it my favorite MC of all books I’ve ever read!

This is my very first book by this author and luckily being it is book 6 in the series I did not need the previous books to enjoy this story. It was written very well and did make me smile a lot and even laugh out loud a few times. I could feel that I missed a lot though by not reading other character stories, and I normally do not do that but it did not take away from this one being a fully enjoyable standalone.
I love reading books that are set in New Orleans, there’s just a feeling that goes along with that setting. I don’t normally read this genre but have heard so many good things about this author and I’m really glad I tried it and am definitely looking forward to reading many more.

I love a great vampire book and this series continues to truly swoon me in! This is the 3rd book in this series and I can say I love them all but this is my favorite. Trentino ends up saving Angel’s life and has to turn her in order to do so. I also love the sizzling moments between Angel and Trentino and their chemistry that leave my heart racing. Vampires, intrigue, betrayal and steamy scenes all wrapped into a great book!! Highly recommended.

This book came back full circle to focus more on the time travel aspect of the Armstrong and Foster story. We get to examine how the amulet and box work, and just how many times they can be used before the stone disappears completely. If one of them travels forward or backward in time, will they be able to return, or will the chance be lost forever? Maggie and Dylan are both desperately in love with their 16th Century Fosters, and suffer at the thought of being separated. It is really hard to review this one without spoilers!! A LOT happens, and I was thrilled to find out after finishing this one that there will be a 4th book, because I am not ready to let these clans go yet. I’ve really enjoyed reading about Scottish and English history and culture, and getting personal with the values and traditions that were important. The characters in these books are phenomenal, and even the characters that have a smaller role are well-defined and believable. I read all three books back-to-back in a matter of days. When is Book 4 coming??

This is a fantastic start to series that I am already loving. 19-year-old Maggie Armstrong gets sent back to 16th Century Scotland with her father and best friend, and finally gets to experience having the loyal family she’s always dreamed of. But family relations aren’t as easy as they seem, and Maggie chafes under women’s obligations in the 1500s. I love that she is a strong, stubborn, tenacious woman, very much her father’s daughter, and stands up for herself and her beliefs no matter the cost. While the life of border reivers can be violent and short, she appreciates the joy, love, and simplicity of strong family ties and protecting your own. This novel has plenty of battles, betrayals, and love stories to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Book 1 is the start of what I expect to be an epic saga, and I am here for it!

Carrie Pulkinen’s Swipe Right to Bite is a quick paced hilarious read. While being the sixth in the series, this book can be read as a stand alone. In New Orleans, Katrina, a succubus, uses her hook up app as a way to fast from her sexual urges. She hopes staying low key will have Satan forgetting about her and will get him to grant her freedom. In comes Gabe, an incubus, offering lectures on the importance of emotional intimacy in a relationship as well of not using dating/hookup apps. What could go wrong? Katrina and Gabe start off on the wrong foot, showing their demon sides as a way to get back at each other. Slowly each starts to realize the assumptions they made were wrong. After working through a handful of hiccups with the help of friends the two finally get their happily ever after.

When Trentino enters the home of the Mancino brothers to cover his people as they recover what was stolen from them. Unbeknownst to him, their sister wakes to check what is going on. Angel senses someone in the house but she’s not sure if actually someone or her dead grandmother trying to talk with her like always. Then a vampire traps her in a moment filled with fear but many something more. It only starts to become clear what that was when her home gets attacked, her brother killed, and this vampire enters finding her on the floor bleeding out. Though she’s grown to hate them, her life might just be saved thanks to one. Risking the needs of the community, Trentino will figure out why the Mancinos were attacked and how it connects the efforts being made to discredit and destroy the vampire community.
I actually found myself linking Angel a lot more than I anticipated. I think a lot had to do with the fact that I really struggled in the beginning because though these books are pretty decent and quick reads in the moment you’re reading them, I personally find it really hard to remember what happened. I found a lot of the time that I was struggling to remember who some of the main characters were and what their roles were within the vampire community. I will say that the author’s strongest skill lay in her romantic and smut scenes. With that being said, it took me a long time to realize that there was a larger overarching plot that would last several more books after what I was reading. Additionally, I find it frustrating that the main heroines continue to follow very similar paths of finding their mates and becoming vampires. On a positive though, I really liked how even though Angel wasn’t sure how much she wanted to be a vampire, she dedicated herself to figuring it out and had many great scenes with the other female characters. Overall, I agree with the one master’s comment at the end regarding his perspective on the rules being broken.

Gabe and Katrina are possibly my favourite couple so far! They say opposites attract, and these guys couldn’t be more different. Katrina runs a dating app and has a casual outlook on all things love. Gabe believes love is so much more and stuff teaches people about intimacy. As always with this author, the book had me laughing out loud. The chemistry between Gabe and Katrina runs throughout the whole story, and the friction between them makes for a fun and feisty read. This is a paranormal story like you’ve never read before.

This was the perfect book for me to pick up now that the stressful holidays are over. I needed the fun, romance, and laughter this book brought. Katrina is a sex demon, determined to gain her freedom from Satan, hopefully by lying low and fasting. She is the only sex demon in New Orleans going on 100 years, at least until Gabe. Katrina has introduced a new hook up app just for supernatural beings and Gabe comes to town with a seminar on how to become more intimate with your partner without sex. The back and forth hijinks made me laugh out loud. Can Gabe make a deal with Satan to free Katrina without her knowing? Will Katrina and Gabe give in to the chemistry obviously brewing between them? This is the first book I have read in this series and if they are all as laughter inducing as this one, I am going to eat them all up! Great way to start the new year with a good book!

After the betrayal this book had my heart racing! I almost love/hate books that have the central character taunted for being themselves, literally boils my blood. With that being said, this book had me immersed in the story. The only issues I had with the story are 1. The climax was not in middle but at the end. Although it did have a couple of pages of a resolution and a nice epilogue I feel there needed to a little more resolution. 2. There was a lot of unnecessary filler pages. Now without adding spoilers there was plenty of character building but it was almost too much for this type of story. 3. The cover – it really deflects the energy this book gives. The two cover “characters” make it seem this book is set in the 80’s with 2 people in their late 20s and that’s not the story at all. 4. Yes, there is a theme of sports, since the two main characters enjoy football, however, I don’t think this makes it a sports story. This may deflect readers from the core themes of the story which is — betrayal, childhood friendship, and bullying.
Other than the issues I’ve described it really is worth a read!

I have really enjoyed this series so was definitely looking forward to this newest instalment and I wasn’t disappointed. It carried the same amount of humour I’ve come to expect from the story and also the brilliant characters. I loved the plot for this book it was very entertaining and made the story really fun to read. As always, the authors world building was spit on blending together real life and the paranormal! I also love the title to the story too! As always with this author I highly recommend her work and this story in particular is one of my favourites from her!

Just what I needed to read! This was a great story. I loved the characters, they all felt so real. I felt connected to everyone in the story. Reading about Sophie made me wish for a grandma like that. I loved everything about this book, it was easy to get lost in another world. Definitely recommend!

This book was not what I was expecting. It was incredibly much much more. This is not your everyday high school bully romance book. It has many twists and turns which leave your mouth hanging open. You will have to reread a few sentences throughout the book because you won’t believe that, yes, that actually happened. This book is really well written and was a huge page turner for me. This is my first book by this author and I can officially say I will be reading more. The writing style sucks you in and the story line keeps you there. The characters in this book are spot on. I couldn’t see this book without the characters in it, like it just made sense. This book also has STEAM to it. I am so invested in these characters that I hope all of them get their own story. You will fall in love, have your heart ripped out, be stitched back together, get angry, smile with vindictiveness, and have a happily ever after. What else do you need from a book? NOTHING!! AMAZING!! This is a must read for 2022.

This book is possibly one of the best paranormal romances that I have ever read. While this is book six in the series if you haven’t read the previous books, you can moat certainly read this one as a stand alone. This paranormal romance is fun, sexy, and humorous. The plot and the characters are phenomenal, and the word building is increidble. Katrina has a phenomenal dating app going in New Orleans and is enjoying her success, but what happens when sexy Gabe enters the picture? Will sparks fly? Will there be perfect chemistry?You’ll have to read this increible paranormal romance to find out for yourself.

Swipe Right to Bite was a cleverly fun read from start to finish. I love a book that has me smiling ear to ear and this stand alone read had that and more. The storyline was unique and fun all the while fast paced. This is the first book I’ve read out of the New Orleans Nocturne series and not once did I feel confused or out of place. I am definitely interested in reading more from this author/series in the future.

Such a fun read right from the start! This is my first read in this series, but I did not feel lost at all, so I don’t think its necessary to read the others before this one. That being said, I definitely intend to catch up cause this book was great!
Katrina is a fiery succubus who is trying to fly under Satan’s radar to eventually be free from him, making her one frustrated demon! Gabe is an incubus who made a deal for his freedom, making him a little limp (IYKYK). Its too bad for them that their ventures cause them to clash, making New Orleans far too small for both. On the bright side, their clash definitely makes this an interesting read that you wont want to put down. The real question is, are they fooling each other, or themselves? Dun, dun, dun!!!
Seriously, if you are looking for a hilarious, steamy, and lite read with an HEA, pick up this book!

I have been following this series from the beginning and could not wait to read this next installment. The hilarious style of writing, along with some steamy scenes and such memorable, unique characters are what really make this series so wonderful. The author has hit another home run with this one. Katrina and Gabe are great main characters, so good each on their own, but their interactions with each other are so much better. They are flawed, but they try. This is what makes them so believable. They love, although at least one of them isn’t quite sure exactly what that is. Putting a succubus and incubus together in this way was genius on the author’s part. The story around them is so good and fun, I could not put it down.
This book is not meant for the kiddies, but if you like your Paranormal Romance with steamy comments/scenes and snarky characters that aren’t afraid to swear, you need to pick up this book. It can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend the whole series because they are just that good!

Brock and Kirsa were best friends growing up. After Kirsa’s parents build her a treehouse, they end up bringing new people into their tiny group. In the beginning, everything is going great until something happens and everything changes. Brock ends up mad at Kirsa and ends up staying mad for a very long time. Kirsa ends up being bullied by many people they go to school with because of Brock’s promise to make her life difficult. During her senior year, Kirsa meets Rylan and he becomes a really good friend because he doesn’t mind standing up to Brock. Eventually, the truth is revealed, and Brock realizes that all these years he has been believing lies. He ends up regretting how he has been treating her. I really liked this book. In the beginning, I did not enjoy how Krisa was being treated, but I did really enjoy this book!

Whoa, this book had it all. I was captivated from the start, this has everything from friendship, love, jealous, vengeance and contempt. This one also gave me all the feels, happy, sad, angry and hurt. I do love how this book give you the inside drop on how bullying is actually played out. I love how the writer was able to capture so much of his characters trails and vulnerabilities. This one made me think of “mean girls” on steroids. Great book.
