If you are into Mafia thrillers this book is for you! When I picked up this book I was unaware that it was part of a series but the author gave enough background that this book can be read as a stand-alone book. The five head bosses of Chicago’s mafia have to band together to flush out the rat. Emiliana is the mafia princess who has had to overcome some major PTSD after an incident almost four years ago. Stefano is the son of one of the five heads of the family for the Chicago Italian Mafia who has fallen head over heels in love with the one female he really should stay away from. Emiliana and Stefano can only share a few moments alone with no one finding out. I am a new fan of these thrilling, on the edge of your seat mafia books!

Definitely entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Swipe Right to Bite is a paranormal romantic comedy. A story of a succubus vs an incubus, satan two sex demons. What could be more entertaining than that?!
Katrina, who has been in New Orleans for just under a century, has her own Tinder type app for supernatural beings to have some fun. Choosing to abstain so Satan will set her free, she uses the apps sexcapades to keep her succubus in check. Until that is Gabriel enters her turf preaching love is more powerful than sex.
The dynamic between Gabriel and Katrina is entertaining as best, both hoping to dupe the other into falling in love. Does it work? Does it backfire on them?
There’s also the problem of Satan who will never let Katrina go, despite making a deal with Gabriel for her freedom. Satan doesn’t actually think he will succeed. Is he right? Does Gabriel fail at the task of making Katrina fall in love?
You want to laugh out loud while reading? Pick up this book! You’ll also get all the answers to the questions above along the way!

This author never fails to entertain me. I have read all of the books in this series and each one has been great. Katrina is a recovering succubus who is trying to earn her freedom from the Devil but being his favorite, this will be no easy task! Katrina has come up with a dating app for supernaturals to hook up. All is running great until Gabe, a celibate succubus rolls into town to give love lessons.

This was a very quick read for me and it was almost over too soon. The writing was fantastic and all of the characters were easily relatable. As always, I am looking forward to the next installment in the New Orleans Nocturnes series.

I was so excited to get to read another book in this series, especially one about this particular character. I had been looking forward to her story from the moment she was introduced. The author yet again delivers on a fantastic book that just highlights why this is not only one of my favourite series, but why she has firmly become one of my favourite authors. I could not stop reading this book, I had to read it in one sitting. It was as entertaining and witty as I expected and is a book I thoroughly enjoyed. If you haven’t read this series yet I would urge you to do so immediately. This is a brilliant book from start to finish.

As soon as I saw this new book by this author it was click and get asap. This author does paranormal romance comedy brilliantly! There has not been one single thing that this author has written that I have not loved. The New Orleans Nocturne series is a world full of crazy and quirky characters that you just can’t help but love. I really enjoy the tongue in cheek witty banter and humour that has me laughing out loud. This series just gets better with each new book. It’s always pandemonium in this fantasy world and this book is no different with sexy and sassy succubi, hot as sin incubi along with panty melting drama, and a multitude and variety of demons in the Big Easy. You never know what you are going to get and that makes it a magical tale.
She’s trying to stay under the wire so she can have what she is longing for but when a hot as sin incubi struts into town he apparently has other ideas.

Jared and Madison have some serious chemistry. I could feel the disdain, the attraction, and the emotional connection between them clearly. The cast of characters left nothing to be desired—they were all so well-written. Each character had their own personality and backstory, and they were brought to life in a very real, interesting way. The whole “rockstar romance” trope has been done, but this book gives it a very different touch. It’s clever and beautiful, and I’m so glad to have read it. There is little more that the author could have done to make this book better—it is so brilliant as it is. It can be read on its own without needing prior knowledge of the series, but I’ll definitely read the previous books to learn more about the characters!

This is a very good book when it comes to historical romance

Having read the second book in this series I was really looking forward to this new instalment and I wasn’t disappointed! I really like the authors writing, it’s easy to read and she writes in a very engaging way. I really like Becky as a character, she has such an admirable strength about her. I have really enjoyed reading about her! In this story we see Becky faced with many challenges, the author definitely wasn’t going to let her final book be an easy one!
This was definitely a fitting story for the final book in this series and I absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend this book and the series! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

This is book three in the series and WOW! You definitely need to read the entire series! The author has painted an amazing picture of a mob boss and the monster that we all imagine a mafia leader to be. I love all the characters and world that the author has built throughout this series. The passion, suspense, wondering how it is all going to play out really gets me going. I love reading books like this that keep me turning the pages out of curiosity.

This book has it all. It has humor, steamy scenes, character growth, and a happy ending. The author takes her characters on a journey in this series. I read all of the books leading up to this one before starting this one. I noticed that all of the authors characters go on a journey. The journey always ends up with a trip to hell. In this book, there are a few trips to hell for the characters. The main characters in this book are trying to recover from their time in hell. It is a laugh out loud book that takes you through the ores of the characters. It is a day read and you won’t want to stop until you are finished. It is a HUGE page turner. If you haven’t read the other books in the series, it is not necessary to do but will help you understand the secondary characters in the book. . I was able to completely immerse myself in the book because of the way the author writes. The descriptive writing and amazing dialogue keeps you wanting to the turn the pages. It makes you want to keep going. Add in the humor and the steamy love scenes and this book has become a contender in my top 20 books of 2021. This is a must read if you just want to clear your mind and take an escape into the crazy supernatural realm.

This is the first book that I have read from this author. The story is definitely a “hook, line, and sinker”. I was hooked from the first few chapters. I love how Max and Liliana have their own story lines that are even intertwined. Liliana is one of my favorite characters! She is so strong willed and wants out of her family’s shadows and ploys. Max is absolutely consumed by his revenge and that makes the story so much wilder! This was a great read.

Soon rumors start that she is going around calling Victoria horrible names and other horrible things. Brock and Victoria both cut her off and have made the last 3 years of high school for Kirsa miserable. Until in her senior year a new guy Rylan almost runs her over in his truck while she is taking her afternoon run. They soon become friends even though Brock tries to squash it. Brock soon comes to realize things aren’t always what they seem and that maybe you shouldn’t let hormones come between you and your true best friend. What could come from these new revelations.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I have picked up. This is one of my favorites yet in this series. I highly suggest reading all the previous books in this series to help your enjoyment of this series and this author. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning. The characters are creative, unique as well as made the story pop. They are connectable and bring the story to life. They made the story fast paced and hard to put down. This is a paranormal romance story that made me laugh throughout. I enjoyed the chemistry between Gabe and Katrina. Their growth as well as the plot throughout the story is great and left me wanting to know more. A great story that is worth the pick up. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it

This is book three of the series but can be read as a standalone. This is the first book I read and I didn’t feel like I was missing anything but it was good so I might just go back and read the first two books!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast read but definitely didn’t leave you feeling jipped. There were quite a bit of twists and turns to leave you guessing but tied everything together nicely at the end. Very enjoyable!

This story brings out the giggles if you’ve ever used a dating app. I can relate to the whole story here and I had my husband wondering if I had lost it. What a fun story! Gabe and Katrina start out on an amazing adventure. Nothing like starting out trying to put each other out of business. Can they come to a happy medium? I’m not telling. You’ll have to read it to find out. And while you’re at it, pick up the rest of the series, this is a quick read series that will give you serious cases of the giggles. Well-written and I love how it all flows so together so smooth. The characters are just so like the rest of us (only not quite human). The struggle is real, no matter what you are. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. I am highly recommending it to all.

I really enjoyed reading this historical novel, set in a place and time period I have never read about before—17th century Poland. I enjoyed the characters and the world-building. The author’s research is obvious and impressive, and did not intrude on the storylines but rather enhanced them. I read a lot of historical fiction and this was really very well done. I await to read the sequel.

The Heart of a Hussar is the first book in The Winged Warrior Series and I absolutely loved reading this Historical Fiction/Romance story that you will find yourself pulled in from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. It’s a bit long but I honestly was so caught up in the story I really didn’t notice. This being a fairly new author I wasn’t sure what to expect but man was I blown away by the attention to detail and the characters wow. This author definitely did the research that’s for sure. Get ready for quite the adventure with Jacek as he is a newly appointed Lieutenant and while out searching for supplies he rescues Oliwia and her brother. Jacek don’t realize his actions may cause serious consequences. You guys I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I don’t want to accidentally give up to much. Im definitely looking forward to the next book as I have many questions floating around my head that im hoping will be answered.

This book was a very unexpected surprise. Its my first read by this author as well as my first real dive into historical fiction of this type. I enjoyed every moment of it. There was action, romance, wonderful historical detail, and amazing vivid imagery provided. This book truly takes you back in time with the story, and gives you the account through Jacek’s eyes being young and in the military with optimism and excitement of what’s to come.
This book was a great read, and It took me outside of my box.

This is the 5th book in the Interstellar Rescue Series and it was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. Trevyn is part of the interstellar rescue operation and is sent to intercept a ship carrying weapons when he meets Lael. Lael is determined to free her people from slavery when she is caught. Is she really the enemy? There is something off about the situation and Trevyn is determined to find out what is going on. Will Trevyn get the answers he is looking for?

Overall I really enjoyed the storyline and all of the characters new and old. We got multiple POV and I really liked that, I feel like it adds more to the story when you can see what the characters are thinking. We get action, danger, adventure, romance and so much more. I was on the edge of my seat several times and we got some unexpected twists that added a great element to the story. The author does such a great job with her writing detail you feel like you’re right there with the characters. If you’re looking for a great sci-fi read. 1-click and get started today on this series. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Action, Enemies to lovers, rivalry & so much more. I enjoyed all of the main characters and I would recommend this to a friend! I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future!

Yet another hit from this author! I’ve really enjoyed this series and this book didn’t disappoint! I think Stefano and Emiliana may be my favorite couple yet. I also didn’t expect the story to unfold as it did. Wait until you find out who the rat is!! The story was well written and the characters relatable and likeable. I didn’t find a single part that didn’t hold my attention and keep me engaged. I rate this 4/5 stars. I really enjoyed the series thus far. Looking forward to hearing more from this author!

To say that I branch out far from my preferred book genres on a regular basis would be a lie. I do enjoy sitting down with an easy to read, melt my heart, HEA sort of romance, or a crazy, whirlwind dystopian novel, because I am a creature of habit. I am so very glad I took a leap into 17th century and met our main hero Jacek, who has just received news that he will be one step closer to his lifelong goal. Shortly after receiving said news, he comes across a devastating scene that completely brings his caring and protective side to light. Here, he saves our lovely Oliwia and her little brother, Filip, who have just lost their parents to Lisowski’s “lost men,” who are known as brigands to the Winged Warriors.

This is where our story really begins. From here, the reader becomes drawn into what could very well become the next best show, as that’s what it ended up being for me, a novel that drew me in and let me take my mind off of the personal turmoil that has been plaguing me as of late. The writing style, the way the characters have a slow burn sort of development individually and together, and the world building that is all encompassing, is just brilliant. As mentioned in other reviews, I certainly wouldn’t say that it is an easy read, nor would I recommend it to someone that is looking to read a novel in one sitting, as this novel deserves all the attention and time you can spare. I will certainly be reading the next installment and cannot wait to see what happens!

This was a really good story, but I didn’t feel like it was executed well. It seemed very spotty and choppy to me. I had a hard time getting lost in the story because the timeline wasn’t established well and it seemed to keep skipping from one spot to another. Just very choppy. I enjoyed the characters and really enjoyed the book before this one but for whatever reason this one just didn’t flow well for me. Maybe it was an off reading day but I just couldn’t get into this one. Overall the story was great it just didn’t enthrall me.

Four Stars

Do you know when you have a really good book? I know when an author really engages my emotions. This book had me laughing a little and crying a lot. It was beautifully written. The characters were bold and detailed. The subject matter on bullying was described well by the author, but really made me emotional with my thoughts. This book had all the feels and then some. That is why this author is one of my favorites with her angsty reads.

I am so glad I picked this book up to read as I do not read to much Historical Romance and this was a very pleasant surprise. The book is beautifully written and the author really brings this book to life with the intricate details. I loved Jacek’s character as he is young, strong, loyal and driven. Newly appointed as lieutenant and while trying to find supplies, Jacek rescues Oliwia and her brother. From this action, Jacek takes them with him back to Poland and the story takes off from here. I loved Jacek and Oliwia’s characters in this book. A true emotional journey read for me and looking forward to book 2!

Asia’s lost memories from the night her children died have haunted her as she’s tried to move forward with her life. She can’t get over the fact that she has no idea what happened to her for three missing hours… hours that she might have been enough to save her babies. When she meets Ethan, the two of them develop a very special connection, and together they become determined to get Asia some closure. As they start to track down the clues to figure out this mystery, it becomes more and more clear that what happened that night may not be of this world.
I thought this book was written very well and Frelick did an excellent job of making the unbelievable seem believable. I was very engaged throughout the story, the characters were fantastic and the plot hummed along at a great pace. Ida Micken is a hilarious character that became crucial to the plot, and I was totally here for it. A great sci-fi, even for those who may not typically read the genre – there is more than enough to keep you hooked!

Another excellent book by Donna Frelick! I was a little trepidatious because the book sounded bloody and harsh, I wasn’t sure it would be quite my cup of tea, but I know the authour is great, so I gave it a go. Very happy I did! The story is phenomenal, very action-packed with lots going on.
The two races on the planet, the Thrane (ruling class) and the Hinarr (poor and maligned) have been at odds for centuries. The Hinarr are treated abysmally, with few rights and are little better than slaves. A lot of the interactions echoed the racism that occurs in our world today, and so it was very relevant despite being set in a fictional world. The clash between these sects ultimately becomes one of the main themes in this book.
This book has romance, adventure, space travel, fantasy and shape-shifting snow cats! What’s not to love? Read this book.
