The Heart of the Hussar is the first book of two in The Winged Warrior series. Set in the seventeenth century during a turbulent time in Eastern Europe, the story draws you into another time and place. The detailed story is not overridden with so much detail that you get tied down in the details, but instead, you are transported back in time. The characters are fascinating and help bring the story to life. I didn’t want to put this down. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and reading more in The Winged Warrior series.

When I read the first couple of pages of this book, I thought that I was going to have a difficult time reading it. I was incorrect. The story takes off and is incredibly easy to follow. What I was taken aback by early on was this incredibly detailed sexual assault incident. There is no trigger warning on this novel and I strongly feel that there should be due to its graphic depiction.
Otherwise, I loved this novel. You can feel the love and tension between Oliwia and Jacek through the entire book. I want to yell at both of them to just kiss already. They have so many barriers to overcome before they find each other. More yet still to overcome. An incredible read, I truly recommend to any reader looking for a detail oriented romance.

Unlikely to Stay is the third book in the Parker Lake series by Olivia Sherwood (Ashlie Knapp). This is a great contemporary romance- a bit of a rom-com, with wonderful characters, an engaging storyline, humour, emotion, a small town setting, chemistry, drama, banter, antics, and much more. I really love this series and the wonderfully endearing characters, and I can see this making a great movie series. The author’s storytelling really brings these characters and their stories to life- and that would translate to television beautifully. I am really looking forward to seeing what ‘Unlikely to Tell” (Book #4) brings! Happy reading!

This is such a beautiful romance. Annie is such a wild, strong woman that isn’t afraid to be different and I absolutely love that about her! Her granny sounded like such a fun person and she really learned her love for animals and living life to the fullest from her. I really enjoyed the humor sprinkled throughout the sweet moments of romance and the way that Annie and Wyatt heal each other. Wyatt is so haunted and a shell of who he used to be when he returns home. Luckily he ends up asking Annie for a job and she starts to wriggle her way under his rough exterior from the very first meeting. They’re so adorable as they’re getting to know each other and growing closer. They have a couple of obstacles to work through but the ending is amazing and it definitely made me tear up. This is a book that you won’t want to miss.

Once again this author gives us a sweet romance with a perfect plot that flows beautifully, and loveable characters. While this is the third book in the series you could most certainly read it as a standalone. However I recommend reading the entire series as this author is very good at hooking her readers know sweet romances. This book follows Colleen and Brant both of which think they don’t have a chance with the other. Who will take a chance and shoot their shot? Will Brant finally work up the courage to ask out Colleen? Or will it be the other way around? You’ll have to read this sweet romance, with our lovable characters to find out for yourself.
This was a very sweet romance, with beautiful characters and a plot that flowed perfectly. This sweet romance was absolutely perfect with a small town setting, second chances, chemistry, and so much more I simply couldn’t put it down. While this is a new author to me I simply just can’t wait to see what happens next. Both Annabelle and Wyatt were charming, endearing and loveable characters. The story between these two was so perfect that you can’t help but cheer for them from the sidelines. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

I loved getting to know Jared so deeply. It had been a while since I had read Ethan’s book but it felt like a homecoming once I got into the book.
Jared and his Dad broke my heart. Their back stories and what they were dealing with present day are just more than any family should have to endure.
There were so many sweet and funny moments and some heartbreaking ones too. I really loved this book and all of the guys in Thrill of the Chase. This book could have been twice as long and not long enough for me.
I absolutely adore Jared but I’m curious to get the Lennox’s story. I just know there is something deep there.

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. I love a good rockstar romance but she exceeded all my expectations in this story. I felt all the emotions in this book so much I found myself crying in the end. This is the third book from the very addictive Thrill of the Chase series. This book could be read as a stand alone but there are some previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end and I can’t wait to see who she is going to write about next.
Jared Shaw is not your average guy. He is in a very known band called Thrill of the Chase. Jared can get any woman he wants but he is too busy for one. He loves his father so much he has the best of the best watching over him. He gets a very rude email from his fathers nurse and he needs to confront her. When Jared gets to the home his father is at he meets the beautiful Madison. He sees how amazing she is with his father but he doesn’t realize that Madison is the same nurse from the email. A huge problem goes down and he asks Madison to come with him to care for his dad. He starts to feel something he has never felt before but he doesn’t want to ruin his dad’s life. The 3rd book in this series and I swear it’s better than the first two. In this book, we read about Trentino and Angel. When Trentino goes in search or Lazarrth, he finds that the syndicate has gotten to Lazareth first. It isn’t long before Tuscano shows up to assist in following where the syndicate goons are taking Lazareth. What will they find as they follow? As with the other two books, there are great characters and you see friendships growing along as you are immersed in the story. It’s especially touching to see the women come together as friends.

Christian Tuscano is angry when we fist meet him. Delilah, the woman he loves, has been treated horribly by the Vegas syndicate. Christian must find out who gave the orders to take women to be traded to a human trafficking group. Not only that the syndicate was attempting to make the humans believe that the vampires were the ones selling the women to the traffickers. I really enjoyed this book. Christian and Delilah have great chemistry and each one is trying his or her best to accomplish something so the other doesn’t have to live with tough consequences.

I enjoyed this book a lot. In many ways, it reflects situations, emotions, experiences we all have as teenagers. There’s always the person we grew up with that changes in high school, there are always mean girls (and guys), there is always miscommunication and strong emotion with all the teenagers and their hormones and getting into adult situations…Kirsa and Brock were really fun to read about in the beginning, before it all happened. I felt warm and fuzzy reading about them and how much they cared about each other. It’s really wild how much things can change as we get older and start meeting new people. There’s a lot of emotions in this book, and they’re presented so well. I recommend this read.

I went into this book unsure what to expect, and I came out overjoyed that I picked it up. Its a book that showcases jealousy, teenage angst, bullying, and a sheep like mentality. There was soo much in this book that brought out emotions as a mom and then also as the teenager I once was. Kirsa and Brock were best friends since the dawn of time practically and when Victoria moved in she became that 3rd part of the group. When a misunderstanding takes place it puts Kirsa on the outside of that friendship and leads to intense bullying and harassment. Brock and Victoria become that King of Queen of mean making Kirsa’s life miserable. When new boy Rylan arrives he and Kirsa bond, and things that were unsaid come to light regarding her past friendships. Its a very emotional read, but such a good one. Kirsa was braver than she knew, and she made it through those tough years and eventually truly stood up for herself. A lot of people say love and hate regarding Brock, but I feel he was a boy being lead astray. All in all this was a great story and it will definitely bring out something in you once you read it.

I thought it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try something different. Broaden my literary horizon. So I took the chance and read this wonderful and mesmerising tale. I am really glad I did. I was taken back to a time long ago and a read of a life unknown. I love being transported to another time and watching these eclectic and endearing characters lives unfold. This story had a little of everything that captures a readers attention and keeps them riveted to the end. The author laid out an energetic and detailed canvas of danger, romance, dramatics and mystery all beautifully presented for a readers thrilling enjoyment. This story was entertaining and written in prolific quality. I was spellbound by the 17th century. 4 stars.

This is the third book in this series and I was not disappointed. The chemistry between Brant and Colleen was sweet. I love the meddling old folks in the small town as it adds to the charm and the adage of what it is like to live in one. I found the characters to be easy to relate and connect with which helped move the story for me. I am definitely looking forward to more books from this author!

As usual, this amazing author does a truly wonderful job in putting together a story that hooks you right from the start, and really holds that grip on you. I expect nothing less from this amazing author. I was hooked and interested in the concept of the story straight on, and I could not let go of this one.
The emotions are so real in this one. You felt the wonder of the two star crossed souls, but for me I felt their pain and worry so much. It ran deep, but I really felt the attraction was running deeper than there own pasts and hurt. I found Brant and C.C. really had something special, there bonding was not just sugar and all things nice, you really had that dash of spice as well. I was full of emotions on this spinning ride, it was beautiful, but deep as character depth and growth goes. Wonderful read. I loved how they seemed so different at first glance, and once they stopped butting heads (which was comical and funny in its own way which I did admire) I found they found ground, that literally could sweep them off their feet! They were real and a wonderful development in the story. I could not get enough of this story and characters!
Love this author with all the passion and love with in my heart! The author is a very wonderful writer, and their stories always take my soul, and give me quite a ride. They are not to be passed up. Or this book, I would recommend them both on the same account! Love this book and this amazing author!
I had not read the other books in this series, but the cover really attracted me in this one. Being a country girl myself, I was truly ready to get my saddle on and give this book a whirl. In small words, I loved this book and the characters. I laughed and chimed in with a good beat all the way through. I will be going back to the previous novels for sure and seeing what else the author has written for me to enjoy reading!
I must say Rebecca was a treat to read on. I truly loved how she was written, and truly how real she was to myself as a reader. She faces and goes through a lot of struggles. Only after things seemed to finally from what I gathered from past events, seem to be going in the right direction. I loved how things seemed bad, she kept that hope and the will to keep on going alive within her soul and her heart!
I think a lot of us can relate to Rebecca in different ways. She was a strong willed character, and was one not to be messed with. She was knocked off her horse a few times, but she never gave up and kept on going. O lived that quality of her, and her determination was real and a very admirable trait! I also loved the other characters, which were a joy to read on as well. This book was not predictable as well. i was surprised with twists and a little bends here and there. It made the book more than I expected. I loved the book and how easily it flowed as I read, I could not get enough. I am so happy I got to read this wonderful book and discover a beautiful series by a very talented author!
As said, this book was a fun ride! I loved how easily the book flowed and everything came together, and really how relatable the characters made the book easy to meet on level with! I will be reading the first two for sure! Needless to say, this is a must read book and a must read author! highly recommend both!

Uh-maze-zing! This story of finding friendship and love through betrayal was fantastic.
Kirsa met Brock when they were just 4 years old. After initially slamming him into the sand because he destroyed her sand castle, they were best friends. Kirsa and Brock did everything together, play football, study, share secrets, and hang out with the guys.
Just before the beginning of 2nd grade, their twosome became a threesome with the addition of Victoria, the new girl in the neighborhood. As they grew older, Brock and Victoria became more popular while Kirsa, who was extremely shy, stayed in the background. Brock was her defender and protector from all the others at school that didn’t understand their friendship. At the beginning of their freshmen year, Kirsa saw something that broke her heart and was the end of the threesome.
Brock could only take one side. He took Victoria’s. He believed Victoria. From that day popular Brock and Victoria made it their mission to isolate and terrorize Kirsa, leaving her friendless and alone. Three years later as they are beginning their senior year of high school, Kirsa is still friendless. Enter Rylan, the new guy. Rylan doesn’t heed Brock’s warnings to stay away from Kirsa. Rylan befriends her anyway. Through the new found friendship with Rylan, Kirsa starts to rediscover some of her strength. Brock can’t stand the relationship between Rylan and Kirsa. The author made me believe that highschool could be a place of redemption. The characters, especially Kirsa, are so smartly developed. They each have such depth. I love the scenes between Kirsa and Rylan where they are comfortable and in each other’s space enough that it drives Brock completely crazy. This book makes you feel all the feelings through each character. Fantastic! Wonderful! Great story!!

I am so addicted to this series, I just want more and more!! Do yourself a huge favour and grab all the Parker Lake novels and read them now!! This book can be read as a standalone and be enjoyed but characters from previous books are all through the book and because I had read the previous 2 books I was excited to read more of the fun they were also having. I can’t wait to read more and see what is next for the wonderful people of Parker Lake. I so wish I could live there!
Book 3 brings us the story of the wonderful Colleen, or CC to her friends, and Brant. After avoiding Brant like the plague, even though she was very attracted to him, gorgeous CC ends up on a date with him where she soon discovers there is so much more to him than she first believed. Brant himself is shocked at how much he opens up to CC right from the very start. Together they get to know each other and love blooms! But we all know the road to true love is not always a smooth one so you need to read this fantastic novel for yourself to see if they can make things work.

Delightfully sinful This series gets better and better with each book. Love the world of vampires, the characters and the storyline. This can be read on its own but I highly recommend reading from the first book in the series to really enjoy the depth of the storyline. Each book builds on the events from the previous one. I’m this one we get to know Master Trentino and Angel. I love watching the connections between the characters unfold. I can’t wait to continue the series with Master Romano.

Unlikely to stay is a perfect title for this book. Brant is the town nurse/doctor. His patients love him but they give him a hard time as well. Those oldies are going to be the death of him. Anyway Brant is a nice guy with a difficult past. I love the idea that he wears suspenders. Just not the idea of why he wears them. He’s been in town for two and a half years and has yet to talk it CC. She bolts or shoots daggers at him every time they cross paths. Thankfully her friends intervened if only he could get CC to go along with the plan. CC thinks Brant too high in social status for her. So she gives him no encouragement. She decided to add to her hair cutting salon and put a gym in next door for the residents. Her friends give her some help but not the kind she really wants.
The elderly in this town are crazy! I think there is something in the water. They all act like teenagers or at least twenty somethings. Kelda leads with pack with live in boyfriend, Burt. Marty and his issues! Ha! These characters are all a hoot!

Though her first book is my favorite, King of Pain is a wonderful addition to the Interstellar Rescue Series. I truly did not know what to expect with this enemies to lovers (one of my favorite tropes) type sci-fi romance. I jumped right in and was hooked immediately, just like with all the other books in this series. I loved seeing old characters pop up so that the stories are all tied together. It was heartbreaking from the start and adventurous to boot. I hope to read more books in this series.

She faces tragedy and so many struggles that I never saw coming in the finale to this series. She is such a strong amazing woman that she finds a way to persevere and make it through to the other side. My mouth literally fell open in shock at several twists in this story and I was so very happy to see how the series wrapped up. The ending definitely made me tear up.

This is such a sweet story of starting over. This is a really great romance centered around country life. Becky has had such a hard time with men and it’s made her really cautious about opening herself up to another man and really giving it her all. Chance is so different from the other men she’s met. He sees something special in Becky the first time he lays eyes on her and he’s willing to wait as long as it takes and to take things as slowly as she needs to be comfortable. When she finally does let her guard down and lets Chance in they are so adorable together and Cassidy is just the incing on the cake. There are twists and turns in this story that kept me turning the pages until I reached the absolutely beautiful ending. This is a sweet wholesome romance not to be missed.

This was a really good read! It seemed historically accurate and I was super enthralled while reading this. It was easy to read and for a 400+ page book this went really fast as well. The characters were well written and very enjoyable characters. My only complaint were the names. I know they’ve got to be historically accurate and thank goodness for pronunciation guides! Overall this was an amazing read and I can’t wait to read the next one!

This was another great book from this author. I have read a couple of her other books and it was just as heartwarming as the others. This one is about a couple of friends that become enemies and it’s not your typical friends to lover’s story. Far from it. She did a wonderful job pulling me into the story from the first chapter. I didn’t want to put this book down. I was quite surprised by the ending and hope that there is at least one more story to come in this story. If you enjoy romantic relationship stories with some forks in the road this is a book for you. I highly recommend it.

What a Romantic story to get to read. This is a story of two unlikely people, Brant Billings and Colleen (C.C.) Chandler. Two young people who have never felt stable where they were, both in a small town in Parker Oklahoma. Brant, a Practitioner Nurse needs to stay for 3 years before his student loans will go away. This should be easy for him. But once C.C. comes into the picture things are bound to change. C.C. is the town hair stylist and loves her job. She is always helping others to look their best. But she tends to shy away from those who she thinks have more knowledge than she. This author brings two people together in her story. Not before you read more of who they are. I love Brant and Colleen’s story. I laughed, cried and watched these two unlikely people find their own way. This is the 3rd book in this series, it can be read by itself,but I recommend you read the first two books in this series. Get to know the town’s people and how they work together.
This is a Contemporary Sports Romance novel and is 302 pages in length. This is the story of Brock and Kirsa, and the unfortunate addition of Victoria. Brock and Kirsa had been friends almost their entire lives. Now in high school, Kirsa is feeling their friendship may hold more and would love nothing more. Then comes Victoria into the picture. Friends quickly turn to enemies and Brock makes her life extremely hard for the next three years. Now Rylan comes in and after some hesitation, he and Kirsa become friends. But now Brock is becoming jealous. Can Kirsa and Brock resolve their issue?

This is a great contemporary romance by an author who I’ve read several times before and always enjoyed their writing. Set in a high school it is a great example of just how terrifying and awful high school can be if you are not one of the ‘in’ crowd; even worse in this case, as the ‘in’ crowd are out to make her life as miserable and hard as possible. My heart broke so many times for Kirsa during this book. I admired her amazing bravery to continue going to school every day not knowing what horrors awaited her. I do have one little misgiving with the story: I struggle with how Brock never gave her a chance to give her side of the story and chose to believe the rumours. If he truly was her best friend then surely he would have known she was not capable of what she was accused of. Of course, if that was the case then we wouldn’t have this great story that had me hooked. The author does a great job of making the reader hate some characters and for me that is one thig that makes a good writer: the ability to make you really hate a character. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to others.

Oh my goodness, I love this series so so much! I love this author and will read anything she decides to write. I love her way of adding in humorous dialogue between her characters and the way she keeps things real throughout.
Her stories flow so easily that you don’t even realize you are at the end until it happens. I read this in one sitting, I enjoyed it so much I just couldn’t put it down. I have absolutely fallen in love with this town and its residents. Some are almost too quirky but I absolutely love them and am so glad they are the way they are. I found myself with a smile on my face and laughing out loud many times, yes I also got very emotional at times because a few of the stories about these people absolutely broke my heart. Brant and CC were an amazing lead couple, I loved them both and Brants Mom, omg she was a hoot!
The friendship and family aspect of this story was my favorite part, which is why I will go back and read these all again. I highly recommend reading these in order, even though each focuses on a different couple, the history of these friends makes every book that much more enjoyable!
I am so very much looking forward to the next in this series and anything that this author comes up with. She is awesome and an absolute one click for me.
