This is the second book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet series by this author. Following the first book I knew that I had to read this one and I didn’t think I could love a book anymore, but I was wrong. The first book brought me tears of joy and this one continued that pattern for me. Of course, just as the first one was therapeutic so was this one. I love the authors writing. Her description of the story and journey that these characters are traveling on is wonderful. It’s honestly a roller coaster ride of emotions. I highly recommend this book as well as the previous book be read by every single adult. They are truly wonderful books related to death and the relationships of individuals in love and dealing with dying.
This story would make a perfect Hallmark movie. Olivia books a cruise for Christmas to get her mind off of her cheating fiance (who cheated with her supermodel sister). Once on board, things take a fairytale turn and she finds herself dining with Mr. and Mrs. Clause, meeting the man of her dreams, and quickly descending into a sugary sweet Christmas happily-ever-after. This book was not my usual read and felt like it needed some more editing. I found the pacing to be really unrealistic, but it is with Hallmark as well, so I suppose it’s par for the course! If you like light Christmas romances that are void of anything dirty, this might be the read for you!

I don’t know how I got through life without have a book by this author to read. I have had the pleasure of reading several now and each of them has me reading as much and as often as possible, sometimes even while working (but don’t tell my boss).
Sofia and Enzo are absolutely electric together. They fight their mutual attraction even though they know how the other feels until they cannot resist each other any longer.
There are some steamy moments, suspenseful/dangerous moments and even some laughs here and there mixed in.
The characters are well developed and I find myself counting the days until the next one will be released. I need to find out what happens next with all of these amazing people.

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan BOOK 1) by Anise Storm. This is an amazing start to the Titans of Manhattan Series. I can’t wait to read the next one. Its the story of Caspian Archer is a workaholic and millionaire. He is a CEO for his uncle’s companies and if he wants to keep that position he has to find his true love and get married and be married for at least a year. If he doesn’t comply with his Uncle’s wishes his whole world will come crashing down. When he goes to visit his Uncle he reconnects with his childhood friend Paisley. Paisley has been thru the wringer and is struggling in all aspects of her life but especially in her finances. Caspian takes advantage of the situation and offers Paisley money to pretend to be his Fiance and marry him. Paisley is so worried that she will develop feelings for Caspian after being with him a year and will be heartbroken. Liz Finley was a lounge singer and she was good at it, with a steady job and a steady life, but something was missing, excitement, she needed something which would thrill her and so she decided to start writing a book, she was inspired by a tv series and wanted to see whether that life was really like how it was prortrayed there, so that is how she ended up in the café and how she ended up meeting with Alex. This was a meeting which would change her life forever and in more ways than one, it was a meeting which left her both excited and scared all at the same time and it was that meeting which put her on a path she did not expect.
Liz left her job and returned to education so that she could follow her new dream and the job which it was centred around, however, what she expects to happen doesn’t, it is far worse, but she perseveres and attains her goal, but this is where things really start to go downhill. Danger soon comes for Liz and she soon finds out is because of her name and the blood which runs in her veins, so when she falls into the hands of the mafia she is tortured and abused for information, but she has no idea what her destiny has had in store for her and how she now needs to learn to live with it and accept it, but before she can, another mafia boss takes matters into his own hands and she goes through the abuse and torture all over again.
All through this emotionally and physically taxing time, she uses her brain to try and keep her sanity alive as she puts the pieces together and realises that she is wanted by three different mafia bosses and although she cannot understand why, all she wants is for it to end. Will she be able to survive long enough for someone to come along and be her knight in shining armour and help her through the turmoil, or will the chains that are binding her to her destiny be too strong to break and allow her to become free once and for all? This is a dark mafia romance with twists and turns which are full of action and is a definite rollercoaster of emotions, which does not let up until the very end.
Whatever Tomorrow Brings is the second book in the Embrace Tomorrow Duet by Amy Argent.
As this follows on from the first book I highly recommend reading Book One before beginning this second instalment. As with the first book, this is a very angsty, heart-wrenching and emotional read, so having some tissues close by would be a good idea-as you will definitely need them. Tori came into Will’s life right when he thought it was all over and he had nothing left worth fighting for. They never expected to fall in love- but love sometimes comes when we least expect it. Cancer had its grip on him, and he thought his time was up. But with Tori by his side and their love blossoming, he finds the courage and determination to fight his cancer, especially if it will give them a chance of a future together. But things are not going to be easy, that’s for sure, they are going to be challenged like never before and their bond of friendship and love will be put to the test. So, as you can imagine, with such an intense and emotional topic- fighting for your life with cancer- this story really hits hard- so be prepared to have your emotions toyed with as Ms. Argent doesn’t hold back. My emotions got quite a workout. While this story is quite sad and emotionally taxing at times- there is also sweetness to it too. After reading the first book, I really needed to know what happened, so it was a given that I would snap up a copy of this so I could have a front row seat to what would happen next….. and this proved to be a great follow-up to the first instalment, another angsty story with our MC facing his death and his mortality…. it also inspires hope while showing us the power of love.

Strega – Magic: The Spirit Never Dies by Lynne Russell. This book was so good. It’s not a book you can read lightly you really have to think about it and pay attention but that made it much more real to me. Its the story of the women in the Ciofani family who are from Italy and they use magic. I really enjoyed Annie and she was such a strong, independent woman who mad great strides in her life thru this book. Annie came out stronger than ever due to things she had to undergo. The writing in this book made me feel like I was in Italy and made me almost believe I had magical powers! The story has a lot of action and you will be amazed at how fast you turn the pages. Do yourself a favor and read this amazing novel about Italian women and their magical powers!

Strega- Magic: The Spirit Never Dies by Lynne Russell. I have read quite a few of this author’s books before and really enjoyed each and every one. This book is a bit of a departure from what I have come to expect- but just as well written and enjoyable as the others. It also has the humorous touches that I love about her books. A romantic suspense with witches, history, magic, the paranormal, drama, reincarnation, betrayal, tragedy, and dramatic developments…. which kept me turning the pages to discover how everything played out in the end. Literally, this book had me under its spell! I had always had an interest in magic and all that goes along with it. I for one have always been a believer, and wondered on the history as well as what different kinds of magic existed. I was pulled right in, many things were going on, but it made the appeal more amazing!
The story of the awesome female courageous characters sold the deal for me right from the bat. All I got to meet while reading had different strengths and really showed how powerful they were, not just with the magic, but mentally minded. I loved that aspect. I was very much interested in the fact the book dealt with Italian Magic. It was all new to me and certainly brought on the intrigue! For me Annie was so easy to love as a character. She was the one who had to undergo a lot, and she came out stronger than I think both her and I thought possible. The story brought on action and everything gets explained as you read though! I do love a book that makes me question in the first few chapters, and I get answers later!
The pace was very easy flowing as I have said. The events that happened made the story take shape. I wish I was there with Annie, I would have had so many questions and wanted to partake in the experiences. The book was well thought out in terms of writing, I really enjoyed it. Its one I will be recommending to people as well. The history that came to light, more less the past, it was very visual for me and it made sense completely, and was a nice thing for the story I found. It was a wonderful, amazing, and magical read that was very enjoyed! The story brought everything, and delivered well!
This was a good read, it brought on emotions and suspense very well for me as well as the other adaptions I had gained from reading this book. I was intrigued more than I can put into words. The history was my favorite part and watching Annie grow and shape, and learning about the Italian magic and past and things happened was amazing to visualize! High recommendation for this amazing book!

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan Book 1) by Anise Storm
This is a new to me Author but was interested after reading the synopsis and decided to give the book a try, and I was not disappointed. I was able to shut my family out, relax and enjoy this book, which was not easy to do with my family around.
This book is a mixture of two different troupes and I liked that, you don’t often see them blended as well as this was.
Paisley and Caspian both broke my heart for different reasons, they both made the Mama in me need to hug them and let them know it will get better. My favorite part of this story was a pivotal part so I obviously won’t discuss it. But the fireworks on the beach or the Def Leppard reference are two of quite a few that stand out.
I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next Titan to fall.

5 Stars Fate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie
Fate, Frankincense & Funerals by Naomi Valkyrie is a M/M / Paranormal Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I was pulled in from the beginning and even though it’s a very short read I couldn’t put it down. I’m a huge fan of this author and her style of writing simply amazes me. This is a short story about Acheron who is a vulture shifter and he cares for the souls of the dead . Then there’s Errapel and he nurses the souls head to death. But because of the law Acheron is not allowed to take a mate. Will that be enough to keep them apart? Find out what happens next. I want more ,more ,more. I have so many questions that need answers so I’m praying there is more to come and this was just a little teaser. I highly recommend reading this wonderfully written short story by a wonderful author.
The Box is the fourth novel in the Her Three Immortal series by Hazel Storm.
I will admit that I have no read the other books in the series so I don’t know how Vanessa got to this point in the story but the premise and cover caught my attention so I thought I’d give it a try.
After reuniting the God of Lust with his alter ego, Vanessa is given the task by his mother to fill a box with eternal beauty which she has to travel to Tartarus to do it.
But she is going alone. She has a vast amount of characters to help her on this journey.
This made me want to read more Greek Mythology and read the previous novels in the series. I loved Vanessa’s dynamic with all of her lovers and how different yet sweet they were.
I read online that there were going to be spin-offs. I look forward to seeing who the spin-offs are going to be about while I read the series from the beginning.

If you haven’t read book 1 in this series, you definitely need to. This one is just as much, if not even more of a tear jerker then the first part of Tori and Will’s story is. I went through so many tissues reading this story, the author does such an amazing job of giving a full picture of what a struggle battling cancer is and just how messy it gets. It made my heart so happy that Tori was there for Will every step of the way encouraging him and doing everything humanely possible for him even though she didn’t know if he would survive. They both open up their hearts and love and fight with everything they have not knowing just how much time they might have left together. Their love story is breathtaking, and the kind of love that everyone hopes for. Tori and Will go through so much together and this book is definitely an emotional roller coaster ride where I was scared to see what would happen next but also hopeful and the ending was so beautiful that it was worth all the tears along the way.

This was my first story from this author, and I will be reading more! It is a paranormal M/M romance. It is a quick read, but even then I really loved the character development. I feel like I know the characters. I also liked that there is a story within the story. Excellent storytelling!
What a wonderful story! Adults thrown together that were close as children. They knew each other’s secrets even though he is now super rich and set to inherit a massive company. She in destitute and her mother is in a coma. She can’t afford her care. Caspian offers her a deal she can’t refuse, and she gives him the support and love he always needed. Such a great read!

I really enjoyed this book, it put me in the Christmas spirit. Thea was a very relatable character with her feelings. I would definitely recommend this book.
While this story might be short it packs a lot into its few pages. While some people would think that you can’t have a big impact story with a short novella, they would be wrong. This story was beautifully crafted full of some Egyptian mythology, shifters, romance, emotions and so much more this novella really packs a punch. The characters are beautifully detailed and the story so intriguing you won’t want it to end. While this is my first read by this author I can honestly say I will be looking for more. So if your looking for a fantastic short novella for this week, make sure you pick up this one today.

She is set to take a golden box to the highest mountain in Tartarus to obtain eternal beauty. Vanessa completes all of her tasks and has become immortal and is now Psyche, Goddess of Souls. Along side her are all three of her gods that will continue to be by her side as she is to help all three in their businesses. An amazing and captivating story as well as series. I would love to see more out of this series.

Little do they know, it is the beginning of a nightmare for all involved. The amount of emotions that are felt in this book is what keeps you on your toes. Anger, hope, love, fear,and finally happiness will have you cheating from everyone involved. This installment of the Satan’s Devil’s shows that even those with the highest walls built up, can still bring them down if the right person comes along.

This was a really good book! I’ll admit, at the start I was a little iffy on it, and it took several chapters to really get into it and start understand what was going on but once that got cleared up I couldn’t put this book down and it made it a very quick story to read! It was so good! The imagery is incredible. The author is able to describe every that is seen and felt in incredible detail and I felt like I was there with every character in this story, no matter what time period. I was extremely impressed with that. This is not the first book I’ve read from this author before but I wasn’t sure what to expect wit this story. But I highly recommend this one, it was really good, and enthralling to read!

Drummer’s Beat is a story about a girl named Sam, who is out looking for her relative. This relative is apparently part of a biker organization, but she knows how hard it is to get into these “clubs”. Luckily, for her, not only is she a mechanic and rides a motorcycle, but breaks down near the compound and is “rescued” by the leader of the biker club. As the story continues, she has to prove that she is only there to learn about this relative and not to cause any trouble. What everyone is unaware of is that trouble is going to find her. She eventually gains some trust and “something else” from the club president (who is unfamiliar with the feelings he is possessing). But in the end, he will do what he needs to to protect her. This was my first biker related story I have read – and while I thought the story itself was fine, it will probably be my last biker story. I am one who likes a kink style book and some raunchiness at times, but I was a little put off by the culture portrayed, especially towards women.

It’s been a while since I read a paranormal romance. This hit the spot most definitely. The writing was on point and the story line was definitely a page turner. Can not wait to see the next book in the series.
Fantastic!! Truly fantastic book. From page one I was hooked until the very end. I am so excited for this new series from this author.
Caspian and Paisley…..from the very beginning I was rooting for them for a happily ever after. When Caspian finds out his uncle Preston’s dying wish is for Caspian to find love and be married for at least 1 year in order to be the true CEO of Archer Industries. Being CEO is all Caspian ever wanted. When he runs into Paisley, Caspian asks Paisley if she would be his “wife” and in return she would receive a lump sum of money, but not only that, Paisley’s mother would get the care she desperately needs as she is in a coma. Once this plan is in action, it really sets off a pattern of events of Paisley and Caspian’s connection to each other in the past, sizzling hot moments, love, loss and demons that Caspian has to overcome.
This story is truly just phenomenal. I loved every moment as the story unfolded and at times really took me on roller coaster of emotions, especially Caspian’s past growing up. I recommend this read and looking forward to book 2!!

This marriage of convenience romance was intriguing but at times a little predictable. Characters were likable and relatable, a great start to this series. As my first book by this author, I’m really looking forward to more of the Titans of Manhattan men.

Cade has had his demons which he hopefully has worked hard to put behind him, but Winter is his one challenge that he has always been attracted to but she has always hated him. The only problem is Winter is one of his best friends and bandmates sister.
Winter has loved Cade for what seems forever, but after the one encounter when she was young and he dismissed her and she felt like show was just a notch in his bedpost but now when she needs this job more than anything can she put all her heartbreak behind her.

OMG I loved this story, why have I not read anything by this wonderful author before. This is the third book in this series and to be fair the story flows and this can be read as a stand alone book, the story is well written and brings all the insecurities and flaws of both characters which just makes you love them even more and want to get past the history and embrace the present and future.
I got that involved within the main characters and the secondary characters I had to read the other books in this series and loved them just as much as these two. Thank you for allowing us to the world of Default Distraction and can’t wait to read more.

The High Priest is in charge of the temple and is the one who deals with the final requests and hands out the dying to their caretakers, today Acheron, a vulture shifter is going to meet with him, he has been feeling extremely restless of late and the time off he has been given hasn’t helped, so as he makes his way to the office, he is wondering if he has done something wrong. When he arrives, he finds that he has not done anything wrong, but he has been given an important job, however, to complete it, he has to leave Kharon and travel to the city of Mandara, this is forbidden because of ancestral laws and the fact that because he touches the dead, he is not welcomed with open arms, but despite the danger Acheron accepts the request and prepares to leave.
Thankfully, the journey is completed at night and therefore is less dangerous for Acheron, however, when he arrives, he is greeted by the nurse looking after his client, Errapel, but Acheron is shocked when he isn’t met with disgust and tolerance, but instead with kindness and compassion, this continues when he meets the person he will aid to the other side. Acheron cannot deny that he feels a pull towards Errapel, however, his kind are also forbidden from taking a mate, so when he realises that Errapel might be his, he does not know what to do, will Acheron and Errapel be able to defy ancient laws, or will this forbidden life be taken away from them before they can even enjoy it? This is a shifter romance with an edge of danger which you will not be able to put down, as hope and wariness war in the emotions of a shunned shifter stuck in place by societal values.
I read a lot of books. I write a fair number of reviews. This title gets a solid 5/5 for me. The scene in which they send Carissa off had me welling up. To provoke a physical response is a statement. One of the highest I know that I’m willing to admit to as a reader. Very few books insight physical emotion from me, so bravo.
The overall world was well incepted, and the characters were well written. I found the story relatable, which is impressive seeing the setting of this story and our own human experience here on Earth are vastly different.
Or are they? I found a kinship in the idea of going against the grain and doing things differently. In disrupting what is expected and taking a personal hit to break the rules that need to be broken, for the greater good. And not the typical greater (mostly) good. The real, nitty gritty, underbelly of it all. Actual, pure, and honest- good. The first drop in the bucket. The first seed(s) to be planted. I’m not sure if that’s where this story is going but I’ll say this, I’m hooked. Can’t wait to see what direction this goes and where we eventually end up.
That being said, this isn’t a story for children. I was caught off guard by the erotic scenes depicted toward the end. It was a pleasant surprise for me but may not be so welcomed in other circles. Your loss.
So, to wrap it up neatly, this was a great story. My only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough to satiate the appetite it invoked. I’ll keep an eye out for more titles from this author both past and future. Highly recommend.
I just want to first thank this author for inviting us into the world of Hud and Mary Beth. It was so exciting reading about Mary Beth slowly unleashing her box of tricks to not only help Hud heal, but to also work on battling her own demons. I truly enjoyed this authors writing style and character developments. I hope to read more in the future. Great job and thanks again!
