She does the opposite of what everyone wants her to do and decides to keep the baby. She doesn’t expect to see Lincoln again so she doesn’t worry about telling him. So when he returns 4 months later and runs into his weekend flame and she’s 4 months pregnant he realizes he’s going to be a dad. Will Lincoln do the right thing and will Harper even let him. A cute reluctant friends-to-lovers rockstar romance.

I’m a big fan of rockstar romances lately and this one does not disappoint. I enjoyed the backstory of Melody and Joe’s friendship. Do they push that friendship boundary and test the waters of a real relationship, or do they each suffer the yearning the have for one another? The two test their limits and resolve when Joe convinces Melody to come out on tour with Gracefall as their tour manager.
There’s some outside interference with Joe and Mel’s relationship, such as the band members and friends giving them h€ll, as well as internal issues, secrets don’t make friend. This story follows the tour and the rockstar life well, without it bogging down the story with unnecessary fluff. I also enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t mostly smut with a small portion being the storyline. We do see character growth (and heartache) from the main characters, as well as from some side characters (future books in their POV?). There is true thought and consideration from both of the MCs as to if their friendship is worth the risk of trying for more, and if their love for each other will overcome life’s obstacles and tribulations.
Can’t wait to see what happens in book 2, which is kind of teased at the end here.
Rock Me To The Top was a fairly quick read and thoroughly enjoyable.

Unlikely to Fit the second book in the Parker Lake Series by Olivia Sherwood is a second chance romance story and I absolutely loved it. Olivia has the ability to weave a tale so real, you feel like you know and love the characters. There is sadness, love and laughter as we watch our main characters work through the toughest times in their lives. Add in the best of friends and one extremely cray cray but totally loveable grandmother and you have the perfect recipe for a good story. Brecken has been betrayed by the one person who promised her forever. Griff is still mourning and doesn’t know how to move forward. Will they be able to let go and learn to love again? This story with have you laughing out loud, loving and hating and crying. Who doesn’t want a second chance at love with a hot and oh so sexy man. Come Back tomorrow was a heart breaking, emotionally touching story. It did take me a little while to get into the story and get attached to the characters but when I did, wow. I also had to definitely be in the mood to cry when reading this. Otherwise, I would suggest preparing yourself to cry for sure! Definitely got ‘My Sisters Keeper’ vibes from what the character Will goes through and how Tori tries to help. Did enjoy this book for sure and would recommend to anyone who likes these emotional and sad books.

Surprise Baby For Mr Fischer by Stephanie Harrell is the second book in the Curvy Ever After series. This book for me was all about about characters. They had such a strong connection right from the start. Even though they seemed like their should be on completely different paths I thought the author found a way to make it all work so well. The story was engaging and easy to read. It was a great story to get swept up in for a few hours. This is a new author to me but I enjoyed her writing style and the pace of the story. Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable book and I will definitely be reading more in the series.

Blood Oath by Amy Mckinley is the second book in the Mafia Elite series. This book is every bit as exciting as the first book. I knew I had to make sure I had time to read all of this book when I started it because I would not be able to put it down and that is exactly what happened. The chemistry between these characters is unreal. It is evident in every page and completely believable. I was drawn into it and could not stop reading about them. Every single book by this author is just as good as the last. I never hesitate to pick up a book by this author and this book highlights exactly why. I would highly recommend this book and every book this author has written.
Snowflakes & Stockings is a great contemporary romance by Marianne Rice. This was my first time reading any of this author’s work and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to read more now as I really enjoyed Snowflakes & Stockings. Investigative journalist Liberty Johnson has a big story to crack. Find out who Maine’s Secret Santa is and she will get a big promotion. Having narrowed it down to a few she meets the last potential Sawyer Campbell and is convinced it’s not him. As they spend more time together she takes hum under her family’s wing as he seems to be a loner who needs a family around him. I really loved the camaraderie among Liberty’s family. There is such an amazing support network between them but on the other hand they love to rib and tease each other. I loved Liberty and Sawyer’s story. They are both amazing characters that I immediately fell in love with. Liberty is a force to be reckoned with, a whirlwind constantly on the go. Sawyer is a sweetheart. I really need a Sawyer in my life. If you love a great romance set around the Christmas theme then Snowflakes & Stockings is the book for you.

Zelda and Scott are back and as if life wasn’t complicated enough between marriage, parenting and the ghosts which only Scott can see, their life is complicated at best, but they are trying their best, but the ghosts especially are coming between them and Scott is overwhelmed with the amount surrounding him everyday and he feels like he is missing out on time with his family. Although they have things to work through, Scott and Zelda are faced with a life changing decision, one that will change their family forever and while they are trying to make it, Scott keeps being called away by the dead searching for closure, but one day the worst happens and Zelda is involved in a hit and run accident and because of her injuries, Scott has to make a decision bigger than any he has before, but which will change both of their lives forever.
When Zelda wakes up from surgery, Scott has to break the news of the choice he has made and the consequences of his decision and it almost breaks them, the grief they have known before is nothing compared to this and Zelda fears that this, as well as the stress they were already under is leading her to a place she never wanted to return to. As they are reeling from this unexpected change, they begin to think that maybe they can start to get a handle on life, however, things go from bad to worse when a particular ghost turns up, one whom they are both familiar with, but no-one more so than Scott.
A blast from Scott’s past whom he never thought he would see or hear from again, has reappeared in death, but has brought along a living, breathing child with them, a child which is Scott’s, a child from a time he wanted to forget, but he needed closure for. As Scott communicates with and works through all the turmoil around him, Zelda is also battling demons of her own and the one person she needs is the one person she is pushing away, but will they be able to work through all of the stress and turmoil in their lives together, or will it break the bond they have tried so hard to maintain? This is another fantastic book in this series where secrets are revealed when past and present collide to create a maelstrom of emotions, experiences and events which spin you on a wild ride as you go through everything along with Scott, Zelda and those around them as you follow along their path until its conclusion.
This is the first book I’ve read by Marina Hanna and it definitely won’t be my last! The Groomsman (Book 2 of the Unexpected Series) is a sweet contemporary romance with all the feels and easily pulls you in. Lauren and Mark have some major chemistry but they both have some issues to work out. This book is a standalone book although some of the characters can be found in Book 1 of the Unexpected Series: Love Unexpected (which i’ll be reading next). All the characters in this story are relatable and real, which I enjoy in a good book. I love that Lauren isn’t some damsel in distress type of heroine; she is a strong, independent, take no crap woman and I adore her. Read this book you won’t regret it!

Serena Moon is a member of The Nightshade Guild who lives on the coast of SoCal, she embodies what from the outside looks like the typical beach babe with long, blonde hair and a love of the beach and the sea, but underneath that lies the soul of a sea mage, she loves her life and where she lives, but it also helps that a handsome sea dragon shifter named Peder also lives in the sea nearby. As part of her responsibilities for the Guild, she has to take on a charge for a month, this charge is a very young elven queen who she needs to keep safe from those who would want to take advantage of her, however, although Serena has babysat before, she has no idea how to be a full on parental figure, even of it is just for a month.
When Serena meets up with the previous Guardian to take the small elf into her care, she asks about anything which happened but only received an evasive answer and what looks like a whole lot of relief to be rid of the responsibility she now holds and that worries Serena more than she thought it would. When she takes the young girl home with her, strange things start to happen around her and she has to seek the help of Peder to keep them safe, all the while being plagued with doubt that she is enough.
As they work together, they become closer, however, Serena is worried that if she lets her guard down that she will hurt both herself and Peder if she has to choose between her responsibilities and her heart, but she wishes she could allow herself to dream of a possible future for them. Will Serena and Peder be able to keep the small bundle of power safe from those who wish her harm, or will her worst fears come to pass and she fails her charge? This a fantasy with a romantic twist which is full of excitement and mystery as magic crosses paths with magic and adventures ensue, while the undercurrent pulls you along and keeps you there until the tide deposits you at the end.
I have been falling in love with the Soul Connection Series from Nikki Lynn Barrett from the very first book, but I do think that this one, Snowfall Serenade, has to be my favorite book so far. I would personally recommend reading these books in order for the full effect and enjoyment of the series. This one really sucked me in and I was completely taken away with the storyline. I felt this one a bit more closely maybe I don’t know, but it really just sucked me in and ripped my heart out at times. I may have even found myself choking up a few moments. The paranormal elements were done in a manner that was extremely believable and I find that extremely entertaining and difficult to do sometimes with paranormal novels lately. The character development is really on point in this one as well which is something I have seen grown with Ms. Barrett from the first book as well and I am loving it. I am so excited to see what the next book will bring us.
Having picked this book up as the first I’m reading in this series, the author did a great job with world building and character development to the point that I didn’t realize it was book 10 of a whole series. I look forward to seeing how the story progresses (and what I’ve missed so far) with the main characters and even some of the supporting characters. Getting just a taste of the powers the toddler elven princess possesses is intriguing and it will be interesting to see how she grows into and develops her magic.
The book takes place while Ameria is in the care of Serena, a mermaid. The two ladies are helped by Serena’s friend, Peder, after dark forces attack Serena’s home front and it threatens the safety of Serena’s sister and her family. Peder offers additional protection in his underwater kingdom until the mermaid’s duties are fulfilled. Sprinkle in a little romance between Serena and Peder, and some bad guys in the form of reanimated pirates and shadow figures, and this fantasy adventure makes for a fun read that’s difficult to put down.

This is the second book in this series which is just as awesome as the first. I think this series just keeps getting better and better with each book. I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help your enhancement of this series and the characters. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. Her books are well written and they pull me into her stories right from the beginning. This book is no different. It is fast paced and hard to put down. The characters not only are relatable but also give life to the story. Enzo and Sofia have struggled with their relationship through tragedies and are about to learn that secrets won’t always stay secret. As enemies are out for blood, Sofia finds herself turning to the one man who vowed to save her. I really enjoy these two and what they bring to the story. Their growth and chemistry throughout the story just adds to the plot. This is a must read book and series. I highly recommend this book.
I loved this holiday romance story. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. Her stories are well written and her attention to details give her stories a realistic feel. This book is no different. It pulled me in from the beginning by the characters. They are relatable and brought the story to life. They are written with heart and soul and bring the spirit of Christmas. This is a story about CC and Reese. CC just wants a new start and Reese ends up saving her and bringing her home. What will happen next? They both have pasts and have gone through pain but now faced with something different, a chance at happiness. I enjoyed the growth of these two characters as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. They have great chemistry and truly made the story for me. This is a great heartwarming holiday story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this contemporary romance which is book two in the ‘Curvy Ever After’ series, and is inspired by a fairy tale, it can be read as a standalone story. Harper dreams of travelling the world collecting antiques for her family’s shop, ‘Bits and Bobs Restoration’, but she then has a scorching weekend with a stranger that leaves her pregnant. The stranger turns out to be Lincoln, who just happens to be the next big star following his latest role in an action movie. Lincoln is shocked when taking a break at his beach house in Rhode Island he comes across his summer fling, Harper and discovers she’s pregnant. The couple must decide if their surprise baby is going to bring them together or if all the obstacles, including a frenemy, well meaning families and the paparazzi will stop them finding love and creating a family together. I loved Harper and Lincoln and the chemistry really sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. The story flows well and I was quickly immersed in the storyline and was hooked from start to finish. I was cheering the pair on hoping they would get their happy ever after.

Amy McKinley has proven once again that she is one of the best romance writers out there today. The way the characters interact gives the reader the ability to perfectly imagine them in real life. The scene set up is so realistic and thought out that the events seem to be happening right in front of your eyes. Arranged marriages are a way of life in some cultures especially for those with daughters looking to increase their family fortune or power. So, it is no surprise that Benito Brambilla only keeps his daughter around for just that purpose, after all the mafia is a dog-eat-dog kind of world. Though enter Max who comes in with a suspicious background looking to mess up whatever plans Brambilla and is dad Antonio have in the works. At first it was a save Liliana scenario and reconnect her with her grandpa on her mother’s side and bring Antonio down for what he did to Max and his mom. As the tangled web starts to unweave more secrets slip out and more truths come to light. After all who really is Max? Who killed Liliana’s mother? Are Max and Liliana destined to be another casualty of a long-standing mafia war between two of the five families? Tenacious Billionaire Bodyguards book six: Via Mari This book can be read as a standalone. Via did a very nice job with this one! It was not as predictable as I thought it would be. I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen an she kept me thinking. It was a nice easy read with a great ending. This amazing author has done it again! I loved the first one in this series, and this one was certainly no different! I was so excited to read this novel, and I could not contain my excitement! The first book in the series I found shared a lot of back story and certain traits and those very traits came to light when reading this one! I was so hooked and the suspense as well as romance was real and truly addictive!
This one we follow mainly Sofia, (I loved her character by the way) she is living what she always wanted and that is to be a Fashion Maker/Designer. I mean this girl worked hard for it right, I mean nothing is going to come up that could potentially get in her way now would it? Throw in Enzo, very close best friend, who has the affection for Sofia as she does for him. Best friend, but dare not be lovers as they know their places in life, and that is a rule that must not be broken. Enzo is her protector though and will stop at nothing to keep her out of harm’s way. As the past resurfaces from the ground, Sofia is pushed into Enzo’s arms. Sadly, will he keep her safe even when her past comes up and stands between them?
For me it was not only the main characters, as well as the side characters that made the story. It was the suspense and how everything you want is here, but what did you do to get where you are? Was it worth the spot light knowing you still could lose it all? The passion was very real as much as the suspense, and this novel with the dangers and fighting to live, fighting to love, and fighting to see another day was a strong appeal for me in this novel. I was completely engulfed as I was reading and I wanted to know more and more and I could not stop reading seriously! It was very much well written! Amazing read!
In conclusion, I could say I was breathless as if I was running from a crime scene myself. Fear of what would come of Enzo and Sofia not only for their lives, but also for the very possibility of them being together with all surrounding them was constantly at stake, and I kept hoping for a positive outcome! I loved the writing, the story was amazing. Defiantly a must read and high recommendation from me!
This is a beautiful romance about heated passion and finding your fairytale in a place to least expect it. The author does an amazing job with her characters their stories are captivating and you feel drawn in and invested in their happiness.
This is a story about Lincoln and Harper. Two people from different walks of life who share a passionate weekend together while Lincoln is on holiday after shooting his film. They both take it for what it is. An amazing holiday romance until Harper finds she is left with a little gift from their time together. Thinking Lincoln is long gone back to his movie star life Harper moves forward on her own.
So when Lincoln returns with the sole intention of finding Harper imagine his surprise when he realises that the two of them is actually now 3 of them. Then the adventure really begins as both Harper and Lincoln learn to be parents as well as getting to know each other and when people start to interfere are they strong enough to get through it or will their happily ever after fall apart?

“Rock Me to the Top” was a brilliant read. Equal parts of sweet and spicy, the story was a veritable rollercoaster ride. The relationship between Joe and Melody was long in the making, and the chemistry was off the charts. The struggle for balance between love and making dreams come true was portrayed incredibly well. The entire book felt like a natural progression, and it had me hooked from the very first interaction between the two main characters. The trope itself is well-known, but Victoria Zak did a fantastic job bringing it to life in a refreshing way.

This is the third book in this series by this author I have read and let me just say…WOW! What a wave of emotions I am feeling. What a catharsis I just experienced. Since I had already read the previous two books in the series I had an idea of what I would be getting, but I had to put this book down many more times to get out the tissues and ugly cry. She can bring such detail into her books that you literally get the feeling you are the main character. And she does not disappoint in bring these stories to life. As with the previous two books I was hooked from the first chapter of the book, and I was sad when it ended because I wanted it to continue. Unfortunately, that’s the sad part about books. They grab hold of you and then leave you wanting more. This was no different. I will advise that while this could be read as a stand alone book I do feel that it would be best for the reader to read them in order. I think that will give you a better meaning and understanding of her stories. I highly recommend this book and this series, especially if you feel the need to free all your emotions.
This was a sweet and beautiful story, that was a wonderful read for myself. I had read other works in this series, and this one brings on that sweet bliss as the others do. I found this story as beautiful as the season’s first snowfall, full of life and a lot of love. It brought the smiles that I enjoy always from this series.
Personally, I found this story in itself, very much one that I think many people can relate to. You can strike it big for something in your career or what if life throws a card at you where you can find everything your heart desires, which path would you choose and would it be the right one? I loved Sawyer and Liberty. They were two characters lives that entwined through out the novel, with dare I say, many unexpected moments, as well as things that may put a halt in a certain news writer’s plans?
The story was so easy to follow, and brought on the sweetness you would want around the holidays and would expect from this amazing author. I loved the story line and especially the conclusion where Liberty gets the scoop for her story she had been hunting so much for! Everything comes together very nicely by the end, and I was pleasantly happy to finish the book and very much enjoyed the story with heart!
Wonderful series, and this one for me, surpassed the others I had the pleasure to read. I loved the flow and the characters and how they were written. Just what I needed to read to get me started up for the beginning of the holidays. Wonderful and sweet read. I defiantly recommend this book/author for sure!
The feels of this book were so real, I can not merely put into words! I loved the concept of the story of how two lives over something that was never expected come together, and bring on more than both characters ever thought could happen. The writing was perfectly done and the story flowed nicely!
For me, I loved the realism behind the story. Two people meet over a random occurrence, sparks fly and that chemistry for sure! A passionate weekend and the whole it was nice to meet you concept. Life though sometimes sets destiny up when you at least expect it. Lincoln and Harper had a fun weekend together that at that point I think they would reflect on as a good time, but as reading went on Harper got a gift that would not be something of “junk” she loves to collect and turn into treasure. A whirl wind later, her and Lincoln meet again, and yes she was very much with child! Unexpected news for sure!
I loved reading on and reading how these two characters learned to embrace the pregnancy. They both had different dreams and wanted only to achieve them, but maybe life gave them a new dream something that could he a perfect fit for them, if they only allowed it to be and realized all they had right in front of them as well as growing in Harper’s belly day by day? I loved the romance behind this, and how real their relationship was, as I say, Rome was not built in a day! This story was a wonderful good feel read!
As said, this book was a good read for me, and I for sure want to read more of the wonderful works by this amazing author. It was a fun read, and brought on a lot of feels for me. I loved the drama sequences as well, as both characters lives were shaken from this! Its a good read, and I highly recommend it!

The story of Enzo and Sofia. What an action-packed story! I can’t give away any of the story. You MUST READ THIS book. Starting from the beginning,, you are pulled into it by the memories of the childhood they went through and then through the trials and challenges they have when Ivan comes into town. Man, these two have been through so much together. If you read BLOOD OATH (book 1), Max and Lil will pay a visit. Enzo and Sofia have go through so much and they did a blood oath when they were younger. This is a true power couple. This is one of my favorite authors because she writes all her main characters so strong and capable. The writing is so well-developed. The action never fails to suck you in and hold you captive until the end. Give this series a shot. This is the second book and it is so worth reading. Highly recommend.
Okay, I’m going to say it. I felt like I was reading a Hallmark Christmas Movie. Now, as a fan of said movies, I loved this book. Funny, witty, charming, romantic and the chemistry as the relationship grew was so delightful that you felt like you might be watching some small town friends match up. I loved the fact that he was enthralled by her large family. The way he grew up made him kind of sad because his Dad just wasn’t there. As for the story she is writing, so absolutely inspirational and totally devoted, that it gives you all the feels. This is a romantic story with a definite Christmas feel. It’s perfect to start the upcoming holiday season with. A warm blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and this book. You couldn’t ask for more, except snow. Again, this is a really good romance that you should read. I highly recommend.

Wow Just Wow! This author never ceases to amaze me with her attention to detail and her characters are relatable and fully developed. I’ve been a huge fan since her first book and each new” Chapter”(MC Chapter)is just as good as the previous. I’ve been waiting quite some time for Red’s story and holy cow what a ride so far. My emotions were all over the place with this one. As with any of her books once you start reading you won’t want to put it down. If you haven’t already started her Satan’s Devil’s MC run now you won’t be disappointed but rather addicted like the rest of us. Red wants to fit in and feel wanted. He takes on a journey to him climbing the ladder to the top but once he gets there something is still missing. Will that be enough? Will he get the family he so desperately wants? I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait for the second book to see how things really end.

What an adorable Christmas time story! The characters are charming and made me smile. Liberty and Sawyer are such a cute couple trying to get together. I enjoyed Sawyer and his story plus there was Adam! What a treat!
Liberty’s family just made me smile all the dang time! They really elevated the story and I loved how they make everyone feel like family. I wish they were my family or maybe I could join theirs.
This is a story that js well written and easily drew me into their lives. The author did a good job keeping me in suspense about Liberty’s quest. I will keep an eye out for more from her.

Snowflakes & Stockings (A Wilton Hills Christmas Book 4) by Marianne Rice is another wonderful romance from this author. The characters are well written, and I fell in love with them. Marianne puts life into her characters. It is an enjoyable and feelgood snowy Christmas story. This story has all the feels and is a nice escape from the real world and has you believing in Christmas magic. A sweet, small town, a secret Santa, and a reporter on the up and up and an owner of a big tech firm who doesn’t celebrate Christmas. There is a little drama, a few tears, a few laughs, and a few sighs plus a few aaaaaaaaahhhhh moments that warmed my heart. Liberty Johnson is determined to find out who the mystery Santa is because the promotion is hers. Along the way she finds out all is not as it seems. Sawyer Campbell is not who he appears to be but not everyone gets to see that. No, he is so much more but can even he see that. Reviewed by @jennadb
