his was my first Toya Richardson book, and I really enjoyed it. Being centered around Mila and Elias as fated mates there is romance, action, drama and a bit of suspense – all the makings for a great Paranormal Romance. The connection between Mila and Elias is well written, and overall, the Characters in the book are extremely likable. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

This is one of those books that I simply refused to put down, but then was so sad when it was over. I read it too fast! I absolutely loved this book. The fallen world Brittany Anne created and wrote so well, the characters that I connected with, the action and suspense, the growing love and secrets. Just, yes. If you like post-apocalyptic stories read this! And if you don’t? Still, read this!

Born to Fight book 1 by Brittany Anne is a dystopian themed romance novel. When Hunter, a leader of the Resistance movement makes a last minute decision to risk his life taking on 3 UNR soldiers to save a woman being attacked, it proves to be a mistake…but maybe it is fate.
Hunter’s injuries are too much for him to fight through, and he collapses, ready for death, near a river to be found by Rain. Rain has a hard decision of her own to make. It’s been 2 years since she escaped her tormentor and has been hiding on her own. Does she take a chance on the stranger lying near death at the river near her bunker, or leave him to surely die? She decides to haul him back, and spends a long time nursing his unconscious form before he is healed enough to come around.
The rest of the story shows the build of their relationship in the midst of a dangerous world. Will Rain and Hunter be able to trust each other? Will they be together, or is there too much at risk?

Runaway to the Outback(Welcome to Bunya Junction #2)by Nicole Flockton
4out of 5 stars
Runaway to the Outback is the second book in the Welcome To Bunya Junction series written by Nicole Flockton and the first book that I have read by this author. This is a contemporary romance about finding love unexpectedly, throw in a little drama and we have a great story. The characters are well written with strong personalities and the way they play off their little quirks is awesome. This author pays a lot of attention to detail that you feel that you are right there.
Pandora Sebastian flees a taxing photoshoot and takes refuge in Bunya Junction’s only pub all while dressed as a bride and the locals are unexpectedly welcoming. Jonas Carruthers thought he’s seen it all until Pandora bursts into his pub and his life. Pandora need a break from her high-powered career so why not in Bunya Junctions. She needs to go back and fix the PR mess she is in, also the only one who can own her mistakes and rescue her career. Jonas has been the strength she needed but will he understand that she has to go back but she doesn’t think he will stand by her. Will they have a happily ever after or will they walk away from each other?

It took me a little bit to get into the story. While I ended up liking it, I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I did like how Amelia and Teague’s friendship developed into a romance despite the obstacles they had as well as their history. I think the depth of their background together added an interesting dimension to the group dynamic as well. I would definitely read more books by this author and possibly the first two in the series. Even though books like these are standalones, I always feel I’m missing something when I don’t start from book one.

“No one could ever comprehend the love Kat and Phillip shared. Theirs was a love that crossed a chasm of time and space into the future. And it was in that future their song would never die.” I think that quote sums up a lot about this book. I had a hard time getting into Loves Refrain at first but I’m so glad I was able to persevere because after the first couple chapters I was hooked. Although I did find the “modern” storyline to be a bit off putting. I’m not sure if it was because of Kat and the older Phillip or the outrageous, jealous, mess that was Spencer. I really did love the story line of Kat and Phillip once she went back in time. Their love was so strong they were able to overcome the obstacles of time and find a way to be together. Overall this is a lovely, light, romantic read that I enjoyed. I will definitely be picking up book number two when it’s released to see where the author takes these two.

Toya Richardson is my new favorite paranormal author. Her story is fast paced and she leaves you wanting so much more. I was drawn in on the first page and could not stop reading, until the last page had been read. The characters in this story have strong roles and Mila is no push over. She is strong willed and has no problem taking what is hers. As for Elias, he is too hot to handle. The romance between these two people is nothing more than HOT! Hot! HOT! Well Done Toya Richardson! Well Done!

I am officially so excited for Alix Nichols! I was kind of excited after book 1, The Boss Prince, but now I am so excited!! The writing style got better, the plot was wonderful, and the spice is very nice!
Following Sasha, the second Key to the Key, and Arnaud through their scavenger hunt was so much fun! Not only was Sasha witty and charming, she was incredibly smart. Arnaud went through some great developments while searching for the key with Sasha. I am so happy and cannot wait for book 3! Alex Nichols keeps getting better!! @karenmmarsh
Wow! This was such a good book! So most of the time when you read shifter books, its all romance and sex or fighting and fighting! Wild Desire by Toya Richardson has a perfect mix of that in between that you don’t see often. I’m not sure if I would have picked up this book if I had only read the summary, but the few reviews convinced me!
Mila and Elias pissed me off at first! To tease each other and make a mess of things like they did at first makes you have to read more so you can see how they fix it. I very much enjoyed learning more about the community and how it functions. I look forward to reading more of Toya Richardson! @karenmmarsh

‘The Bow’ is the third book in Hazel Storm’s ‘Her Three Immortals’ series and picks up right where its predecessor left off as we continue to follow Vanessa Maan as she juggles the deepening interests of her trio of beautiful Gods and becomes further embroiled in the heavenly power struggle overlooking our world. This third instalment has a special focus on Aroz- the God of Lust- and his relationship with Vanessa and his family. For this reason alone, this quickly became my favourite in the tetralogy so far- the way that light is shed on Aroz’s past and background little by little had me on the edge of my seat and begging for more. As new truths were unearthed and fresh spins were put on established facts with appearances of characters both old and new, Aroz became more and more compelling- shooting him to the top as my favourite of the three Gods. The way that his and Vanessa’s destinies were intertwined gave me butterflies as if Aroz had launched one of his arrows my way through the pages of the book himself.
Despite the spotlight on Aroz, Vanessa’s relationships with Grey and Raef are still given plenty of focus and development in ‘The Bow’. They continue to grow and evolve, and there is a real sense of the deep care and love they all feel towards one another. It’s clear how much Grey and Raef have grown since the first book due to their experiences with Vanessa, their families and the unravelling of their pasts. With the exploration of the ties binding these characters, the readers also learn more about the world they inhabit- of both the dangers and the allures of a realm run by beings with unfathomable power. It was a delight to learn more about how the Underworld and especially Elysium functions, and the fight to keep it afloat with interferences from all four corners threatening to crumble it down.
In conclusion, if you loved ‘The Don’ and ‘The God’, then you will love ‘The Bow’ which has tenfold of what its predecessors have and more. If you’re in the mood for steamy romance, captivating drama and enchanting myths and legends, then be sure to pick this book up.

Born to Fight by Brittany Anne is a fight-worthy four-star read. This is number one in the Can’t Resist You series and I am hopefully number two will give me some details that I missed in this one, it was such a great read, I was so close to giving it five stars but there were just some things that I couldn’t get passed. I love sinking my teeth into a good apocalyptic drama, so this was right up my street, the drama and action are very well done and most of the story flows well, the characters are developed, it was just the history that I didn’t get. Hopefully, the next instalment will fulfil what I want and be able to round the story to a full five stars.

No matter where she goes, USA Today Bestselling author Nikki Lynn Barrett hears voices in her head. Instead of calling her crazy and locking her up, her family realizes it’s just a product of being an author and allows her to write the stories so that the voices shut up.
But they don’t. And probably never will. There’s no need to lock her up, Nikki knows she’ll never escape the voices, not until each and every last story is written. And for every story she writes, about ten or more ideas pop up.
When she isn’t slaving away at her computer writing books that will probably make you cry and keep you in suspense, Nikki plots to take over the world one book at a time. What? It’s a sickness. One she can’t escape!
Books aren’t her only addiction, though. Nikki can be found making up parodies to drive her son crazy, and bantering back and forth with her husband, who somehow manages to steal her away from the fictional world she lives in all the time.
Nikki lives in Arizona with her husband and son, where she can be found using every creativity outlet she can find through music, photography, handcrafted things, and random interests that she may pick up from time to time.

What a unique and timeless romance that exists between the covers of this book. Such and amazing tale of passion, mystery, true love and that desire we all feel. I loved Kat. She is a true heroine and I really think her strong determination and amazing talent are wonderful but it is really her heart that makes this story so great. Phillip was described so well you get to know him down to his dimples. This novel kept me turning pages from the moment I read it until I finished it. I really enjoyed how detailed the story is and I love that it just pulls you in. I honestly can not wait for book two!

Tenacious (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 6) by Via Mari is amazing. Although I haven’t read the earlier books in the series, I was able to get wrapped up in the story. The patience that Nick Montgomery shows to wait for Allie O’Conner to truly trust in him melted my heart. It doesn’t hurt that Nick is a bodyguard who exudes his alpha maleness! The story of Allie and Nick has romance, danger, suspense, and so much more! As soon as I started the book, I knew I couldn’t put it down until I was finished and I wasn’t disappointed. I can’t wait to pick up the rest of the series.

I loved this paranormal romance! Wild Desire by Toya Richardson had everything I would need to satisfy my obsession with supernatural beings, if it be shifters, vampires, witches, etc. Mila is a character well written who has major developments happened throughout and the author did not disappoint when writing about her growth. Then there’s Elias who has so much depth and culture written into his character. The growth between Elias and Mila by themselves and together is wonderfully written. I really couldn’t rave about it more! When their livelihood is threatened Elias, being Mila’ mate, would do everything in his power to keep her safe. Being shapeshifters as well as having other powers, has drawn interest from Scott Tech for experimentation and torture. Do they succeed? Do they fail? Or do they do enough to keep themselves and their own family safe? All that and so so much more is here, within the pages of this book. I dare you to find out what happens!

Wrong for Him by Christi Barth is a sweet forbidden romance. One where the best friend’s little sister is off limits. While reading it I got a Hallmark movie feel from it, which definitely kept me interested. Christi Barth did not disappoint, I loved this book! Amelia, Alex, Everleigh, and Teague were going through a rough patch in their lives. Until one Christmas Eve that all changed. They bought these scratch-offs thinking nothing could come of it, little did they know they were about to win a quaint little Inn in Chestertown, MD. This story revolves around the trials and tribulations of running an Inn with your best friends and family. Would it work out? Would they fail? You would have to take a gander to find out for sure. On top of all that, there’s a forbidden romance building between Amelia and Teague. Amelia being Alex’s little sister and Teague’s best friend is off-limits. Unfortunately for either one of them, trying to navigate the feelings that they develop for one another is a different story. Christi Barth did a wonderful job keeping me as the reader, “in the wanting to know what happens next category, between Teague and Amelia.” Also how that dynamic would affect the Inn they are running together as a whole. If you have a guilty pleasure of watching Hallmark movies like I do, this book is definitely for you!

An unforgettable Dystopian romance. This book had me hooked. Between the world building and the budding romance I could not put this book down. I loved the characters and their will to fight back against those who would take everyone’s free will or kill them.
Rain has been living in hiding and isolation for 2 years until one day she stumbles upon a dying man. She could leave him where she found him. It would be safer for her, but her good heart will not allow that.
The man she saved is none other than Hunter Kane. The leader of the Resistance. A group of people who have dedicated their lives to taking down the tryanny that caused America to fall. They rule and control everything. They are the UNR.
Since meeting Hunter, Rain for the first time has hope that her life can be more than one of solitary confinement. Meanwhile, Hunter begins to wonder if he can have the chance to be more than just a Resistance soldier. The two have an undeniable instant connection, but between secrets and the UNR they may not stand a chance.

This is such a charming story. I really enjoyed reading The Boss Prince. It was so much fun seeing places in France mentioned that I have actually been to. It lends such a charm to this story and the humor coming from both Max and Lucie lends a touch of realism to their journey. Too often books leave humor out, and there were so many moments in this book that made me laugh and think that totally sounds like something I could see myself saying or thinking. This is such a fun, romantic, mysterious book and the hidden world that the author, Alix Nicho created is just fascinating! I’m really excited to read the other books in this series and see how things unfold with Mount Evor.

A shifter romance that’s spicy spicy 🥵 nearly the whole way through is a fabulous escape from reality. 😍 Mila and Elias have an entertaining relationship from their first meeting. I found myself gasping and clutching my imaginary pearls with some of the very alpha comments that Elias made. Mila handles it well from a woman’s point of view. The antagonist in this book is a group of vile science type people, led by the daddy’s boy Drake Scott. Drake Scott has had it out for Mila since she was in grade school and there are no limits to how far he will go to terrorize her life. I was on the edge of my seat a good portion of this book and was not disappointed by the ending. I’ll be keeping an eye 👀 out for the next book in this series.

Pandora makes a lasting impression with the town of Bunya Junction the second she walked into Jonas’s pub but more importantly is the impression she made on Jonas.
There is something so charming about this town and the people who live there. I couldn’t imagine living in the middle of the country, living between a big city and the country is perfect for me but I would live to visit this place for a bit.
I throughly enjoyed this book, getting to know the townspeople a little better and feeling like I was a part of their world for just a while. I’m looking forward to the next book and catching up with my friends.

Christi Barth’s Wrong For Him, is a story about a group of four friends that stick together to support each other. Alex and Amelia are siblings, but when their parents died in a car crash when Amelia was 11 years old, Alex became her legal guardian. Tasked with raising Amelia, Alex became overprotective and felt the need to continue his role even after she became an adult. Teague was Alex’s best friend and had lived with him off and on before the death of his parents. Everleigh was getting over a boyfriend that she had caught cheating on, but kicked her out of the apartment. All four formed a tight family type unit. They were together at Christmas, where they had agreed not to buy presents, since all of them were down on their luck and not sure if they would even have a home by New Years. When Amelia gets an email notification, she opens it and shows the winning lottery ticket, making Alex the new owner of the Three Oaks Inn in Chestertown, Maryland. Alex decided that all four of them would be owners, and they would all start fresh with a new life.
There is one small problem with their plan. The Inn required a full overhaul. After investing all of his savings into fixing the Inn, Amelia found herself moving into the top floor of the Inn’s pool house with Teague. Everleigh had moved in with her new boyfriend, and Alex had moved in with his new girlfriend. When Amelia gets asked to speak at a county garden club, she reveals her feelings about Teague to Daisy, the grandmother of Alex’s girlfriend. Daisy tells her to try to pursue her love interest. The following day, the pair go exploring a cupola that was not rentable yet. What they find inside, causes Teague to reminisce on the care packages Amelia had sent him while he was in the military. Despite concerns about losing a friendship with Alex for Teague and even a friendship they already had, the two begin their secret romance. How long will they be able to keep their relationship a secret? If it is discovered, will the family unit get destroyed?

Although this story was fairly predictable I still enjoyed it. It was wonderful getting to know Jonas and other characters. What I like about this series is that it’s not just romance. There’s a lot of trauma some of the characters have faced and worked through in order to love someone else.
I also like how everyone keeps finding their soul mate when they least expect it. It’s a beautiful series where it seems everyone eventually gets their happy ending. With all the events happening in the world it’s just what I need to warm my soul and put a smile on my face. I cannot wait for the 3rd book to come out in January.

I liked this story. It was cute and had it’s steamy moments. I wish there was more Collin stuff. His heart seems so pure. Maybe a prequel to the series?
I loved Ryans growth in the story. I thought everything about his character was realistic. From his fear of rejection to getting beneath the shield he wore to his true self. I want to know more about his family and the decisions they made for him.
Sindy was likable and encompassed a small town girl next door feel. Family oriented, Sweet, but tough.
Home to the Outback is an adorable story about fate, forgiveness, love, growth and healing. If you’re looking for a feel good happy endinddg then this is the book for you.

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson is one of the best shifter/romance books that I have read in a long time. This great novel has a Alpha male that knows it’s his job to protect his mate and his pack and he knows just how to do it. Meanwhile his mate is not just a meek girl like so many authors portray them but she is fiery and feisty. But between the writers intense writing, incredible details, and just the overall story Ms. Richardson will have you hooked by the end of chapter one. Fast paced full of suspense, drama, and more, trust me when I say that you won’t want to put Wild Desire down once you start it.

Must I say this book was a refresher and had some steamy romance scenes embedded in them? Pandora and Jonas obviously have tension between them but will the bar hold Jonas back and will Stardom hold Pandora back? Can people really be kind hearted or is it all a show to play Pandora? This book went beyond my expectations and the realism of the book and hardships of life helped me take a break from mine. I certainly will be reading more from this author!

I absolutely enjoyed this book. Pandora runs from her crazy modeling career to this small town called Bunya Junction where she meets Jonas. Unexpectedly they hit it off even though neither wants to move it too far because plans on going back to her city life. Jonas knows you can take the city out of the girl but Pandora is amazed at how a small town can come together and really take care of one another. Through the whole book I so wanted to jump into this town and live on a ranch.
