This book is insanely amazing, I was not expecting the journey it takes you on. It is like a cross over between law and order and fifty shades. Detective Gavin McLead works in homicide and he is investigating the brutal murders of women left in dumpsters, But what is strange is that Gavin starts to dream about these murders before they happen. I was trying to figure out what was happening right along with Gavin. It is so well written and I cant wait for book 2.

pull to continue reading page after page. Lara did a phenomenal job making the characters relatable. I was actually sad when the story ended because I wanted more.
A sweet and steamy romance with a strong female main character and a smoking hot male interest.
Tessa is a single mom doing it completely alone. She works hard and spends all of her time with her daughter Emerson. Tanner is a single man who is always working and helping his sister while her husband is deployed. When the two meet they cannot deny their instant attraction to one another, but neither of them have the time to start a relationship. Despite their busy lives they decide to start a no strings attached relationship. However, one person usually ends up having more feelings than the other. Add a rockstar of an ex who walks back into Tessa’s life and things quickly get messy. Now Tessa is torn on what to do and has some big decisions to make for her and her daughter.
I absolutely loved Tessa. As a recently turned single mom myself it was amazing to follow along with Tessa while she made time to do something just for herself for the first time since having her daughter. It’s honestly why I first picked up this book because I could relate to Tessa. What I didn’t realize was that it would give me hope and remind me that it’s okay to just do things for yourself once in a while as a woman not as a mom.

Dating the It Guy by Krysten Lindsay Hager Four Stars
Dating the It Guy is a YA, High School Coming of Age story by Krysten Lindsay Hager. This is the first book I have read by this author, but it definitely won’t be the last. The characters are amazingly detailed and the emotions had me all over the place. I was laughing one minute and reaching for a tissue the next. This is one book I couldn’t put down, it brought back memories of my high school time many years ago. I would recommend this book to anyone no matter their age. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Hager.

Ye Gods! The Law is an Ass! Is the second book in the Donovan Trait Series by Seelie Kay. I highly recommend reading the first book if you haven’t already as this is a continuation of book one. I loved being pulled in from the beginning of this short read that I finished in one sitting. I had to know what was going to happen next. This story finds Donovan and Shirley on the run after they break the agreement with the Coalition. They didn’t mean to but she accidentally got pregnant and now they are being sought. I don’t want to give up to much so I highly recommend reading this short read to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Emme is going into her sophomore year and taking a summer class. Brendon comes late to class and they are paired to work together. Emme’s grandma taught her about the mystical world and Emme sees signs everywhere that her and Brendon are meant to be together. Emme’s last boyfriend gave her major insecurities as he cheated on her and never made her feel good enough. Can she trust Brendon to not hurt her? Brendon is a senator’s son and is the popular guy in school. He feels very comfortable with Emme and finds himself spending as much time with her as possible. This is not the first book I have read by Krysten Lindsay Hager, I love the complexity of her characters and she throws me back into my teenage years when insecurities are the only thing you know. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She has the ability to make me laugh, cry, and every emotion in between with her books.

Hager paints the teenage years in a very vivid and relatable light. Hormones’, insecurities, the daily stress of trying to fit in, peer pressure, etc. A story that reflected the struggle of growing up, and learning to be comfortable in your own skin. Teenage angst at its finest. Emme and Brendon were characters who you could easily connect to and understand. Emme was a girl who had family issues, a lack of confidence, and a lot of insecurities. When she begins dating Brendon who is one of the most popular boys in school and the Senators son she begins to fall under quickly with the self doubt and stresses of being compared to girls before her. Brendon who is a down to earth and sweet just wants to live his life normally. He encourages Emme to be herself and be comfortable, but he also fails to understand some of where her feelings come from. The relationship navigates jealousy, insecurity, lack of communication, misunderstandings, and poor judgement calls. This story shows young love and new love all rolled into one. It is a good read with some good lessons for young adults today.

I absolutely loved this book! I’m a huge fan of young adult books but this one is definitely at the top of my list. Rowan is such a great character. She is so full of fire and passion! I could not put this book down! I lost sleep over this book and have no regrets! This was the first book I read by these authors but I will definitely be reading more by them. I cannot wait for book 2 that comes out next month!

I definitely think you should read these books in order as it is a continuation of the story and follows the same characters. From the moment I started reading I was pulled straight back into this world. I was excited to see what else was in store foe these characters and the author did not disappoint. I thought the story was so thrilling and it really held my attention from start to finish. To is a great addition to the series and I cannot wait to see what is next.

Seelie Kay is an author that I recommend to everyone. Her writing has always drawn me into the stories from the first word until the last word of the book. There is always a good plotline to get lost in. Her characters are unforgettable. They are complex and complicated. She has a unique take on vampires which is refreshing. We met Donovan in book one. He is a 300-year-old Vampire. He is in love with Judge Shirley Magnusen. There are many laws in the vampire world. Donovan and Judge Shirley, who has been a newly turned vampire. That is where the fun begins and gets interesting. I highly recommend this book to see what happens with Donovan and Judge Shirley.

The story Something Lost was great once the main plot got going. It is very slow in the beginning. I would have preferred if it didn’t take so long for these to start building between Craig and Rachel. Other than that this love story does pull heartstrings.

Now, for Shirley to be “turned”, the Traits had to agree to allow the vampire scientists to watch and collect data on the conception, pregnancy, and birth of any children. I was hesitant starting out this book as it reminded me of Twilight (just not a PG version) but the twists made it truly unique. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one! I enjoyed the expansion of the characters and introduction of new ones. The addition of a scientific viewpoint makes the vampire story truly unique. I could not put it down once I got started and would recommend it to someone who likes modern vampire stories.

I didn’t think I was going to like this as much as I did. I do not read Mafia storylines all that much but when I do, I do enjoy them.
Liliana was a force to be reckoned with and I loved her strong character. Her relationship with Max as well as the progression was great to read.
I look forward to reading more of this series. I hope the second book releases soon.

We are back with Donovan and Shirley. Now Shirley has been turned she is free to marry Donovan and start a life together. Under the laws set by the Vampire Coalition Shirley isn’t allowed to fall pregnant without someone monitoring her for research purposes.
However plans changes when she finds out she is pregnant on her wedding day. What should be a happy time for the couple turns into a nightmare which sees Donovan and Shirley on the run to save their unborn babies.
Why are they being targeted like this? Surely vampires babies are a good thing? Or will the birth of two health babies unravel a lie that has been told for centuries?

As usual, the story line was fantastic!!! Just when Vanessa thinks things may be simple, guess again!!! She finds herself on a mission for the queen herself…..what could go wrong?? These books are so well written. Hazel is a gem for sure. The only reason I knocked it down a star was because of the sex scenes. It was a little too much for me.

Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling by A.L. Morrow is the first book in the Stone and Cinder series. I loved that this felt like a completely unique retelling so such a classic story that it came across as a story in its own right. It felt new and such a great read. It is quite a short story, which is a shame because it is so good. But the author has really created a lasting story that really grabbed my attention. I enjoyed all the characters, each of them so well written. This is a brilliant book and I am excited to see what comes next in book 2!

I absolutely ADORE these stories! Lara did such a great job of setting the scene and having Kayla & Tanner’s interactions so natural and fluid that I felt like I was reading a diary rather than a work of fiction. I could picture everything as it was taking place! These stories are an absolute guilty pleasure of mine and I enjoy them to the fullest. Boy meets girl, relationship is established, emotions are formed, hurdles are overcome, hurt ensues, someone apologizes to someone & either they walk away or they make it work! It’s a simple equation but it’s perfect when done correctly. I can’t really say any more without giving away vital parts of the book so all I will say is, READ IT YOURSELF! Pinky-promise?
This book gave me all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I felt love. Author K.G. Fletcher brings you into a world of past and future. I loved her attention to detail with all the characters. Kat (Katherine) is a professional singer coming back to her hometown to finish off her tour at the Grand Theater. Unexpected turn of events, has her travelling back in time and then back again. As the story unfolds you absolutely fall in love with the characters. I can wait for the continuation of this wonderfully written and engaging story of Katherine and Phillip. If you have never read this amazing author before, this is the perfect book to begin.

A quick, fun and easy read that will have you giggling. Kayla and Tanner have such a fun chemistry that it sizzles. Neither thinks they have time for romance so they choose to go for no-strings attached. All the fun and no commitment which works nice until someone else enters the picture. The someone else happens to be Kayla’s ex, can we say green-eye’d monster here? Kayla has a child with him and that makes it very complicated for her. Tanner soon realizes that strings have attached. The characters in this story are hilarious and well-written. There scenes in the beginning of the story are classic. When she is caught butt-staring, her responses are lame yet funny, but Tanner is busted too. I mean, come one, who hasn’t done that? And when she tried to text her bestie a picture of his butt and he was right behind her? I started laughing so hard my chest hurt. This is an incredibly funny romance that you should definitely read. It will make your day brighter. Highly recommend.

Now this is a true love story, you cannot go wrong! From the very beginning I was hooked on the plot of the story. Craig and Rachel are relationship goals because you can’t go wrong with rekindled love. Do you remember your high school sweetheart? Well Rachel’s father is the means of funerals in the title, death has brought this couple back together, or did it? Is rekindling what’s best for both of them? Let’s talk about this cover …..love so simple yet enticing and the characters stories really have you hooked and excited to read the rest of the series to learn more about the back story of each. It is a page turner and I enjoyed it. This is a sophisticated way of writing a love story and it is highly recommended. Four stars, not to shabby!

This was a fantastic book. I found it completely entailed the teen relationship cycle. Angst over dating from previous relationships and how they affect your next ones to dealing with issues in your current relationships. Emme is struggling with the aftermath from her previous relationship with John, when she starts dating Brendon, the popular boy. Emme has many insecurities and you can see these come out throughout the stories. You may even feel them with a familiarity from your youth I did. The story is so well-done that you just continue watching Emme grow through the story as she matures through the insecurities and into the relationship. Brendon is a pretty amazing fellow. He’s down to Earth. He doesn’t see the girls falling over him. It is a really good story for Young Adults. I think it’s a wonderful story for all. Emme learned to appreciate what she had in front of her.

What did I just read? Honestly, I picked this short retelling of Cinderella up solely based upon how lovely the cover looked. I know, I know, don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but my goodness, this time it really worked out to my favor. My daughter and I had just watched the new Cinderella movie on Amazon Prime, and I was intrigued to discover yet another rendition, and couldn’t dismiss the urge to indulge in another fantasy.
I am very impressed by how well A.L. Morrow captivates their readers by drawing them in with similarities to the original story, and then expanding it into a whole new world and version of this folk tale. I loved how inclusive this was, no matter how unexpected. I especially enjoyed how Ashling turns out to be that strong, independent and courageous woman we have all come to know and love. I am very intrigued and excited to read the next installment in the Stone and Cinder series, as this short retelling leaves us wanting more, and more, and, well, babies are cute! Will certainly be not so patiently waiting for Ensnared: A Beauty and the Beast Retelling, especially given that Beauty and the Beast has been my all-time favorite forever! Well done, A.L. Morrow, the excitement is real.

This book was so well put together, from literally everything and anything that happened through out! I was very much entranced as if a vampire’s spell as I read through it, the things that happened and characters and how they came to be, it was amazing from start to finish! It was a great read, needless to say!
Donovan makes an appearance after his first sighting in the first novel. Vampire and lawyer. Still has sleek mesmerizing appearance that he brought on in the first novel. I defiantly saw character growth with him in more than one way than the first novel! Shirley and him are finally to get married. They were a power couple in the first novel so I really loved seeing them together and trying to live a good life. Drama seems to follow them and something happens that sets the plot of the book into motion!
Things go from happy getting married to a run for their lives and a fight for the future of their family literally. I loved both Donovan and Shirley as well that they stuck to their guns with what they believed and the book really shoed off to me, the importance of family, and how it is truly worth everything, despite any risks that may come from it!
To achieve what they believed they wanted, they really had to defy all odds! The book was rapid action and a lot of good heart felt moments. I seriously was rooting for this power couple to win and beat the tribunal basically at their own game! All in all, the book was a easy and fast paced read. One I could not put down. I was literally hooked from the beginning all the way to the end!
The book was amazing, and written perfectly. With every aspect I could literally think of possible. For me the character growth, especially with Donovan towards the end of the book, really got to my heart. I loved him and Shirly so much and they became even more likable in this amazing novel! If you enjoyed the first one, I truly feel you will love this one just as much! It truly has a spark that keeps going as you read through it, and its very impossible to put down! The God picks up right where book 1 finished which elated me! Let’s face it, I was going crazy needing to know what happened. I was blown out of my mind with how well I could visualize Elysium and Vanessa’s newly made friends. Um, I wonder if I can get a PK also?! Book 1 was steamy but book 2 fogged the windows. Fantastic job Hazel! I’m off to read book 3 because I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

I literally read The Don in one day. I don’t do that EVER lol. This book was such a good read. Fantastic storyline! Vanessa wants to save her brothers life. Interesting enough, the Don of the underworld moves into the neighborhood. Is it that simple though? Vanessa is my favorite 🙂 don’t get me started on the gods….LOVE them! Hazel knocked it out of the park with the first book! If you like gods, steamy love, and relatable characters, this is your book.

I was so excited to see the newest instalment to this series and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest – I think this one may be my favourite of the whole series which is hard to say because I’ve loved them all. The action in this story kept me on the edge of seat – Vanessa is such a great character to read about – I really like her. There was a real attraction between Vanessa and her captor and I could definitely feel that coming through the story. The author definitely knows how to captivate me through her writing and this hasn’t wavered at all over the three books! I was also extremely excited that there is more to come from this series too!! I cannot wait!!
