If you are looking for a romance with adventure, I would recommend The Boss Prince by Alix Nichols. I read this in just a couple of hours and it kept me engaged the entire time. Just fired from her ex’s business, Lucie is down on her luck until she is hired on the spot by a company secretly operated by a secret royal family and her main mission, that she is unaware of, is to find the first piece of a puzzle to save the royal kingdom. Her boss, unbeknownst to her, is Prince Max Delaroche. These two set out on a journey to find a key, but along the way they find and discover their love for each other. This is a fun book with bits of humor mixed along the way. I really enjoyed Lucie’s character. Looking forward to the upcoming books in this series for a quick read.

Wow! Just Wow! This story is amazing! The suspense in here is incredible! I lived how it kept me guessing! I was really drawn into the life of these characters! I loved some, disliked others and was extremely suspicious of a few. This has a large cast and I just couldn’t get enough of them. Then there is that attraction between Max and Liliana…Man I could feel that coming off the pages!
One of the BEST books I have read by this author! She wields her pen/computer perfectly drawing the reader into the plight of Liliana. Then adds Max and she lets us know a bit about him then makes us adore him for what he is attempting. I am so happy I read this and eagerly look forward to the next!

This book brought a lot of emotion on for me, but in a good way, it really was enjoyable in more ways than one. I really connected with the characters, especially as I went through learning about them and the events that made them who they were to where we are at this point in time. It was hauntingly beautiful at times, and the story itself brought on more emotions for me, but in a good way I would say.
Sindy and Ryan were two souls, who basically have their life’s set, and the choices they made defined them. In truth though, were these choices ones provided by longings of their heart or just what their brains may have have thought best suited for them? Through a wake of sadness, of a character that had passed, that really helped define Sidney and Ryan, brings them both together, there may be some unexpected occurrences brought on by this. They inherit a late doctors business. To one character he was their true father figure, and to the other they were a employer as well as a good friend, The pain and loss brings on a lot of emotions and not understanding how Sidney and Ryan came to gain this business.
Through their time together, there were moments of where they seemed to be fed up with one another. Other times, they opened up and about their pain and suffering and where they came from, and I felt for them both separately . If there was not enough going on, Sidney has to deal with her past again in a bad way, trough this lets say suspenseful time, it brought these two souls together and they really for one another. Realized its not just chemistry that this perhaps could be the best thing that ever happened to them, only if they allowed it and fought for it. Sometimes you get called home, not because you think tis a good idea, because sometimes the best things can be found where your life first began. Watching them grow closer was beautiful in many ways, and I loved how the story went for sure!
The book made me feel many thing as I said. The warm soothing feelings it brought, as well as the tear falling moments. All in all, we can not deny this is an wonderful book to read, and its a book I will defiantly will re read again. I would want to revisit this town and characters again with no doubt.. The author did an wonderful job of the character development and all the surrounding components. Really enjoyed reading! This is one, I think all of us need to read, its not one to be missed and that’s a fact.

A Natural Passion is a sweet contemporary romance by Tammy Mannersly. I have really enjoyed Ms. Mannersly’s previous books, so when I saw this book had released it was a given that I would one-click a copy and dive in. This book kind of had a love-triangle vibe going on- but with Ms. Mannersly’s own unique spin. Dylan O’Day is a marine Biologist who has developed feelings for the new intern, Kyra Stone. But he keeps his feelings to himself, and Kyra develops a crush on another co-worker. Then add in some poachers who bring tension, danger, and drama to the mix- and we get a very interesting story, with just a bit of a twist. Will Dylan tell Kyra how he feels before she gives her heart to another? You really should read all the intriguing details for yourself. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Mannersly does next…

Gone Country is the first book in the Cousins Gone series by Katrina Marie. This is the first book that I have read from this author so I really didn’t know what to expect going in. What I found between the covers was a cute and very light read. Diehard city girl meets down to earth country boy. This is a tried and true recipe that I have read many times before and have enjoyed- especially as an in-between my heavier reads book-snack. I think this story held a lot of potential, but failed to deliver, for me. Like I said, it is a cute and light read- there really wasn’t anything there that really grabbed my attention to make it stand out from the crowd. The characters were ok, but they frustrated me so much, I really had trouble connecting with them. But I feel that with some tweaking like fixing the grammar issues, keeping the pace from lagging and dragging, having more detailed descriptions, with more development of the story and characters, and a little extra (realistic and unmanufactured) drama or conflict would definitely go a long way to making this book more memorable… but again that is just me. Please don’t let me put you off reading this story if you like a lighter read- I just prefer my stories with a bit more ‘meat’. I am curious to read some of Katrina Marie’s other work to see what else she can do and if this is just a one-off issue, for me. I will probably go back and read this book again in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way, or if maybe I was just having an ‘off’ reading day with this.

Three years ago, nurse Sindy Carruthers returned to Bunya Junction wounded, wary and shamed by a relationship gone wrong. Welcomed home by her family and supportive community, she now manages the local medical practice and enjoys her newfound confidence. She’s perfectly happy on her own, until a blast from the past in the form of Ryan Flanagan appears.
Dr. Ryan Flanagan—renowned plastic surgeon to the stars—heads to Bunya Junction to pay his last respects to the man who opened his heart and house to an abandoned boy. Ryan’s no fan of Bunya Junction or the harsh judgments of some of the townsfolk, so he’s stunned to discover that his old mentor has bequeathed him half a general medical practice—hoping he’ll stay on and serve the community. The other half of the practice now belongs to the beautiful Sindy Carruthers, his closest friend’s twin sister.
Sindy knows Ryan will never stay in Bunya Junction and become her business partner, and that’s a good thing. Otherwise she might just lose her heart to him.

This was a wonderful, though short, story. I was ready to dive right in and instantly fell in love with the meeting of the two MCs. It is swoon-worthy at times, downright frustrating at times, and overall was a great quick read. Tammy did a great job with making you feel things for the characters – even making them feel like real people that deserve real feelings! I only wish that it was longer – as I would have loved more detail. Some parts felt a bit rushed and the story ended far too quickly for my liking. I will definitely be reading more by this author and if you have the time for a quick, drama-filled, and sweet romance story, definitely pick this one up!

This book was so FANTASTIC! I never hesitate to one click a book from Author Amy McKinley and get totally pulled in. This book had me hooked right from the beginning. I loved how the author has a breakdown on the different mafia families to start. Matt, better know as Max Caruso, is trying to get back what is owed to him. He will stop at nothing to achieve that. Liliana is the daughter of a Benito Brambilla, another high power mafia boss. Max disguises himself to work for Benito, and the story unfolds to rescuing Liliana from her father. There is a story behind this, and I do not want to include any spoilers. When the plans start unfolding with Max rescuing Liliana and him telling her the truth about her family, I was at the edge of my seat!! The planning down to the every minute detail!! This book is just totally worth the read. If I could give more then 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I would!!

I absolutely loved this book! I read it all in one day. If you are looking for a book that has romance and some love making in it this book is definitely for you! My favorite thing is how the author made it relatable to relationships nowadays and how we try to take one our partners struggles because we hate seeing them struggle or hurt.

Brody is an actor who has taken some time to prepare for an upcoming role. One night he sees what appears to be a burglar breaking into the house next door. Unbeknownst to him it is Willabelle, the neighbors granddaughter there to house sit. They are both instantly attracted to one another and from there on out inseparable, until a little speed bump of drama, in the form of an ex and a substitute publicist, interferes. This is a quick, to the point, easy read about instant love and a little bit of drama.

This was my first time reading a mafia romance and I must say I really enjoyed it. I could tell from the first chapter that I was going to love it. I was entranced with the story, the characters and the world the author created. I love Max and Liliana. Both characters are strong and intelligent. They both have to make hard choices in a treacherous world.
I definitely will be reading more by Amy McKinley. The sexual tension between Max and Liliana was hot and spicy! Watching their relationship grow was beautiful! I was so happy this story is told from both perspectives, Max and Liliana. I honestly didn’t want this book to end. I cannot wait to read the other books in this series.

Unsettled Scores by Kel O’Conner is the second book in the DAG Team series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although the stories do seem to overlap so reading the previous book first could be beneficial. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I found it to be a pretty fast paced book. The writing was exciting and the author knew just when to throw in some twists and turns. The characters were interesting and engaging. They are the kind of ones that you get behind right from the start. This was a great book that I found thoroughly enjoyable. I will be going back to read book one.

Together they have brought Tasha’s vampire clan into the camp and plan to work together as a team. New peace accords are written between the vampire clan and the lycan camp. Amazingly the team is fighting their common enemy the Hellspawn. With new weapons and science, the vampire and lycan group has made some progress against the Hellspawn, but with an enemy like the Hellspawn the challenges beaten bring about new challenges.
Tasha and Levi have to fight against the culture of both clans to maintain their relationship. As soul mates, there are individuals and groups who say that a union between a vampire and lycan shouldn’t happen. As Tasha and Levi experience new challenges as a couple, new mysteries of their past come to the forefront that have to be dealt with appropriately.
As the second book in The Shadow Chronicles series, Forbidden Mate is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Watching Tasha and Levi grow into their roles within their communities and in their relationship is worth the read.

This was such a good story or of a strong willed princess who was someone that was easily admired in more than one way. The story seamed to weave just so perfectly, and everything that happened, made sense, and the twists and turns and impact it did to the story was undeniable! I could easily be apart of this kingdom helping Rowan with the issues she faced. It was that amazing of a story!
It was not hard to like Rowan. She had the brilliant mind of a ruler, but also the right amount of sass for any situation and the perfect ruler for her kingdom in my opinion. She was more than just well written, she was very realistic in more ways than one! She faced trouble sort to say through out this book, but she knew how to handle her self, and wanted to be her independent self. She may be trouble some at times, but when the fight for life as well as her kingdom comes up, she is more stronger in her heart than anyone probably ever expected, as well as a force not to be reckoned with!
I loved how the story played out. With not just our heroine, Rowan, but with the other characters she meets and we are introduced to through out the book. Characters I met, I thought were say a “good guy” but is that the intention or someone more wicked? Or am I wrong of the wickedness? There was so much awesome components to this novel! When I got to the end, I was like no! I want to know more, but this is where it will pause to the next one in the series. I need the next installment, out as of well like yesterday haha. It was so easy to get lost into this book, and I loved it from beginning to the pause at the end.
The author had put together a wonderful story that flowed like a beautiful river, each thing leading to the next. Every word and action led to what happened next. It was an amazing read, and so very easy to get sucked into the story line, and get lost in. Which i certainly did! The writing and technique truly spoke for itself and I anxiously am awaiting to see what unfolds in the next book in this amazing series!

This is a book written by two authors that I was unfamiliar with. I must say that they did an unbelievable job of writing this book together. I LOVED IT! I fell madly in love with the main character, and I want to be her. Seriously. She is such a strong willed and independent person that I couldn’t help but love her. And root for her success I did. There is apparently a series that was written previously that takes place in the same land of Lochlann that I didn’t know about before reading this book. I don’t think it’s required to read it prior to beginning this one. However, I do plan to go to my library to check them out just so I can get more insight into the land. I will say, PLEASE READ THIS BOOK! I promise that you will love and enjoy it just as much as I did. I honestly can’t say that this book had any flaws. I cannot wait to read book 2. Thank you ladies for such a wonderfully, well written book.

It made me need to know how their story was going to end. I love the happy ending and read the entire book in like 4 hours, because I just didn’t want to stop. I needed to see the resolution to this chapter of their story and be able to know that in the next chapter, she has good things in her life to lean on.

This the 2nd book in the DAG Team series. This is a Romantic Suspense novel and is 215 pages in length. This story follows Amy and Hugh. This story will leave you on the edge of your seat as Amy fights to seek revenge for her sister’s death that ultimately drove a wedge between her and her family. The last 3 years after her sister’s death left her numb, but luckily her job allows her to work out some of her feelings. Hugh needs to find out how/why drugs are being smuggled into the Bainbridge family’s charity. For Amy, this is two birds, one stone. Get information that Hugh needs and take out the drug dealer who killed her sister. Except for the sparks that fly between her and Hugh. These two are probably my most favorite couple.

This book was shockingly realistic. I could see everything happening in my head, and I truly enjoyed reading it. I quickly became intrigued in the story itself and the characters. There was amazing chemistry between them, and the relationships felt organic. It’s hard to get the right amount of tough without being completely unlikable, but Kel did a wonderful job of making Amy a very likable—and relatable—character. Best of all, this book was so hot yet sweet! This is definitely going on my “read again” list.

Forever Valentine is the sixth book in the Kirk University series by Diana Vale. It is student-teacher contemporary romance and is the sequel to Cassie and Diego’s story we read in Book #1. This is a short story, a novella size morsel- which made it a very quick and easy read. This story picks up 12 months after the events in book one. Cassie is determined to finish her psychology degree and enjoy her university experience as much as she can- all the while traversing all the ups and downs of having a relationship with an older man who also happens to be her former university professor. Things haven’t been easy- but she doesn’t regret one minute that she and Diego have spent together. But life seems to want to test the strength of their bond- brining a few complications, drama, angsty moments, and hurdles for them to manage. Again, as with the first book, this was an easy read- I still didn’t connect with Cassie and Diego the way I would have liked to- but I did like them more than I did in the first book, so that’s something!

Scarlet Princess is the first book in The Lochlann Feuds series by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison. This is my first read from either of these authors, but the cover and blurb sparked my curiosity, and as I am a sucker for a great fantasy, I quickly snatched up a copy, putting aside everything else I was reading, and dove in to follow along on the adventure. WOW!!! This story was unexpected- in a great way! Even though it took me a chapter or two to really find a feel for the story, I quickly found myself completely engrossed in what was happening and became entirely invested in the character/s and the whole outcome of the story. I thought I knew where this story was headed- but the authors cleverly twisted things up a bit and had me clamouring to discover how things would play out- I spent a lot of the time on the edge of my seat waiting and wanting to know what happens next. And that ending!!!! OMG- I need the next book STAT!!!! The most exciting thing here is not only have I found a new series I absolutely Flove, I have also discovered two wonderful authors who have a plethora of new (to me) books for me to explore!!!! #winning!!! Click-click-clickety-click, I can feel a book binge coming on!!!! This is primarily a fantasy, with historical detailing, a dystopian-esque setting, wonderful world-building, drama, danger, romance, and plenty more!!! It felt to me like a more grown up, dystopian-esque version of Disney’s “Brave”. It would make a great movie or television series, too! You will notice that I haven’t gone into any detail over the storyline, that’s because I really think that you should go into it without knowing too much, and just let the story and the authors surprise you. Trust me, if love fantasy adventure, with romance, danger, and intrigue- then you will not want to miss the opportunity to grab a copy of this book to add to your collection! Fantastic!! Excitedly awaiting Book #2, Tarnished Crown- It can’t come quick enough for my liking!

This book really gave me everything! It gave me not just a gripping story line that basically kept me on the edge of my seat, but as well as that, it gave me a strong female lead, whom I admired very much for everything she stood for, and during book even though she was very strong willed, in the end she’s just like the rest of us, she’s only human and that comes with the whole package of contents with being human.
Amy in this novel was a strong character as I said. She had gone through some rough times in her life. She not only lost her own sister, and driven mad with revenge basically, she was separated from her family. It was a lot of heavy weighing on her heart, there was a hold that burned thru her heart, that seemed it would never be fixed, till the person who killed her dear sister was held accountable. Would she ever get the chance to get the justice she wanted and needed so badly in her life?
Thing in truth was that yes she does get that chance, Taking it may perhaps bring on more than she thought at first glance? What if a chance for true love was given to her, provided she stopped trying so hard to get the revenge she thought she so desperately needed to do. Could love fix her heart? The book brought on a lot of emotions for Amy and I literally felt them all, her pain, her happiness, her desire for revenge, the lust for love and passion she really wanted secretly, and basically to feel normal again. the book bought a lot of hard moments, but a thrill ride of action and emotions, honestly I could not put this one down, as when it seemed to be done with suspense, it started up again!
The author gave us all a really fun thrill ride, that was very fun and fast paced. I felt felt that character connection to Amy and how well the author had written her. It was a fun ride to read through this book, and I can not wait to read more by this author. Saying its really good, is an understatement, as its more than that! Pick it up yourself, and see what I am talking about! Surely, you will not be disappointed!

ALL THE FREAKING STARS!!!! OMG!!! Amy McKinley has outdone herself, AGAIN!!!!
No Way Out is the incredible first instalment in the Mafia Elite series by the supremely talented Amy McKinley. I know I keep saying this with every new release of hers, but this is definitely a new favourite for me. It is a fantastic mafia romance/romantic suspense, with plenty of action, violence, danger, drama, mafia politics, intrigue, tension, chemistry, sizzle, secrets, revenge, and emotion. I fell for Max and Liliana right from the beginning- they were such great characters- quite complex, fully developed individuals with depth and their own unique quirks and flaws. I really don’t want to give too much away and spoil the story for you… But will leave you with this little tidbit. Max has an agenda that has taken a lot of time and planning to finetune before he can now, finally, let it all unfold. He has been tasked with protecting his mentor’s granddaughter, on top of his own plans to exact a little revenge and right past wrongs. He never expected that he would be so drawn to the young woman he was sent to protect. Having more in common with her than he first thought. But she is no defenceless flower, as he soon discovers- she’s one kick-butt mafia princess. But with secrets, agendas, politics, and sinister intentions- it’s not long before they are neck deep in a dangerous situation. It definitely made for an intense, suspenseful, edge of my seat read!!! Another gem to add to Ms. McKinley’s crown! She had me at Mafia romance- the rest was all a wonderful bonus!!!! You definitely won’t want to miss this exciting story… Happy Reading!

Unsettled Scores is the second book in the DAG Team series by Kel O’Connor. This is my first book by Ms. O’Connor, and I reallly wish I had realised that this was the second book in the series before I dove in. Even though this could be read as a standalone, I feel I would have benefitted by reading Book One before embarking on this story. There appears to be a crossover of timelines and events between this book and the first- so I will definitely be going back to read ‘Broken Bits’ before reading any further instalments in the series. This is an exciting romantic suspense with plenty of action, adventure, drama, danger, and steam. The death of Amy’s sister 3 years previously has impacted her life on so many levels and driven a wedge between her and the rest of her family. Her thoughts are full of anger and revenge- which leaves little room for anything else. She focuses on her work as a way of dealing with her pain- but she isn’t really living. Her latest assignment brings things to a head… Hugh Bainbridge IV is determined to uncover how drugs are being smuggled into his mother’s charity, which brings Amy into his world. She more than intrigues him and soon they are both thrust into a highly volatile situation. Sparks fly, chemistry sizzles, secrets are revealed, while danger abounds. Can’t wait for more of DAG Team!!!

Scarlet Princess is the first book in The Lochlann Feuds series by Robin D. Mahle & Elle Madison. It is a quick read with lots of adventure. The world building, the plot and the characters are done well in this a sweet and fun romance. This is my first read of this duo and I found myself genuinely enjoying it and lost in the journey. Rowan our strong willed and fiery red headed heroine is strong, feisty, sassy, and fun. She is entertaining to say the least and she is so well written you can’t help but lover her. I love the banter between the characters and often found myself laughing out loud. Just kind of ended because there is one of those that many hate, yes there is a cliff hanger.
