Master Tuscano (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) by Sylvia Black – Review by Heather Simmons

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The thrilling second book for the Masters of the Consulate did not disappoint. We know from the first book that the main heroine in this story has suffered terribly and she already has her mate in Christian Tuscano. The story is really about Christian having to woo his mate again, in fear that she is too fragile from her prior ordeals. But we find that Delilah’s ordeals have made her stronger and she finds strength in herself. In this case, there is no maiden to be saved. She does the saving, herself. I enjoyed this book much more than the first.

Thank you Ms Black for a steamy vampire with soul.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A.J. Renee does it again in this, the 4th installment of the Broderick Coven Series. Carter, the doctor in the family and like all the siblings, has a special skill that drew him to his profession, a healing touch.

Until he meets Vanessa, jewelry designer and business owner… Carter had not found much other than medicine to devote himself to. Vanessa’s creativity and curiousity lead them both into adventure and danger at every turn. Joined by all the siblings and the Alumbra Pack, just like each A.J Renee book, I am rooting for the heroes to win the day.

Great character development and interesting turns, I really enjoy this authors storytelling.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claudia never knew a kind soul, and after a decade in captivity, abuse and confinement had become the norm. Until faced with the thought of her daughter living the same existence, and then Claudia escaped with Katia running towards something, a whisper of kindness.

Max, found her the same way.. by listening. Another of the Broderick Coven strengthening his mystical skills, he spoke to Claudia in her Werewolf form, quieting her trauma and letting the Siblings do what they do best, band together to make things right.

I very much appreciated the careful way A.J. Renee dealt with trauma and the hopeful healing Claudia went through. The nod in the front of the book linking to the National Human Trafficking hotline is well done by the author.

Join Max and Claudia as they find romance, and the rest of the Broderick clan, Bishop Coven and the Alumbra Pack, in this paranormal adventure, Book Three of the Broderick Coven!

THE GOD (HER THREE IMMORTALS BOOK 2) by HAZEL STORM – Review by Erica Fish

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the series. Being that this is the second book, I highly recommend you read the first book as you will not get as much enjoyment of the story. This book has an exciting plotline and characters. This book picks up right where the first book left off. The characters are sizzling hot and you can let your imagination run wild with Hazel Storm’s descriptive writing. Vanessa is in a bit of trouble as she sold her soul to the Don of the Underworld, Grey. That was not his choice as he does not want her in his penthouse. Then there is Raef who is left behind to deal with her mother and brother on earth. Her life is just as complicated in life and now in her death. I found that the descriptive writing in this book outdoes Hazel Storm’s writing in the first book. I know I kept turning the pages and I could not put this book down until I completed this story. I highly recommend this series so far and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

The Don (Her Three Immortals Book 1) by Hazel Storm – Review by Erica Fish

The DonThe Don by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Don is the first book in Her Three Immortals Books by Hazel Storm. I knew I had to read this book as I love anything about the Greek Gods. This book was no different. This is a newer author to me and I am happy to say that I cannot wait to read more from her. This is a paranormal romance book and did I mention there were some hotties in this book. The storyline was outstanding. Who would not give up everything to help their younger brother? Let’s talk about the characters. They are complex and complicated and very believable. Vanessa has a little problem, there are three gorgeous men with different MO’s and she needs to figure out which one will help her with her little brother. I will warn you that this has a major cliffhanger and you will have to read this book and the second book just like me to see what is going to happen.

But that is very hard when the crazy wolves are white supremacists which makes it even more dangerous for Niran Loved the ending and can’t wait for more from this series.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carter Broderick is a man who can heal, he has been doing it for years both as a doctor in the human world and the magical world as well, as a young man, he felt like an alien and like he never fit in, but he is thankful for it now. Vanessa Rayne is a woman with her own jewellery business and shop where she sells it, she is also very independent and full of fire.

One day, Vanessa is coming home after a long day when she hears grunting coming from nearby, however, when she realises that it isn’t her neighbour’s nightly antics and that it is actually another of her neighbours trying to get up the stairs in pain that she rushes to help him, he says that it is a dog bite, but his leg is covered in blood and he is barely conscious, but she manages to get him back down the stairs and into her car so that she can take him to the ER. When she arrives there and he starts convulsing, she rushes inside and shouts her need for help, fortunately, there is a doctor at the front desk who comes to help her. Carter hears her cries for help and rushes to the car and starts healing the man in his arms after asking the woman with him to wait outside, when he gets to the stage when he can hand over to another person for treatment, Carter escapes to the bathroom to recover from the drain on his magic, which means that it wasn’t just a normal dog bite.

The next day Vanessa is trying to figure out what happened with her neighbour and the mysterious doctor, she doesn’t believe that it was just top notch medical care, but something else entirely, it isn’t the first time, she has seen something unusual and when she goes to check up on him, she sees something else and keeps seeing things, but when she mentions it to her friends, they look at her like she is crazy. A few days pass and she runs into the mysterious doctor again, this time they even exchange names and numbers, but someone else has been looking for her too, but this person isn’t going to let her escape that easily, she has been poking around in something she shouldn’t have and it is now coming back to haunt her.

As they start to spend more time together, Vanessa and Carter cannot deny their attraction to each other, but when strange things keep happening to Vanessa, Carter realises that he will do anything to protect her, but will she let him, or will her independent nature stop her from accepting his help, but as secrets and revelations pile up, will they be buried, or can they dig themselves out from underneath them all? This is a romance with a hint of danger and a sprinkle of magic throughout which will keep you completely engaged with the story all the way up to the end.

This book starts out with a bang!! Picking up right where the last book ended, it’s edge-of-your-seat action right from the very start. I loved that there were a few main story lines going on at the same time, and that so many characters were involved. The differences between each chapter is really cool to see, and having so many appearances from familiar characters in other Satan’s Devils MC books was exciting! The ending was awesome. Honestly, I have yet to be disappointed in a Satan’s Devils MC book so far. Excited to dig into more!

5 stars!

Great romance, short read, engaging story. I absolutely love Charlie and Trent together, it is so sweet that she has been in love with him for years and they both find their way back together. The circumstances under which she flees to go back to her hometown to try again with Trent suck, but I am glad they only took up a small fraction of the book, it shows how irrelevant her ex Aiden is! Trent is so sweet and it proves that he is the man that Charlie should be with, the things he did in her absence, because of her, melted my heart. This book wouldn’t be as great as it was without at little drama, so that was a nice little twist that made me love and appreciate their relationship even more. My favorite thing about this book is the names Charlie and her brother’s cal each other, that had me smiling. I can’t wait to see what happens next, I am assuming it is Jude!

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven series, and it lives up to its prior books hype. Cursed Touch is about Carter Broderick, a man who has magic in him and his family, but has only ever used it to heal others, as he is a doctor. All of his siblings around him have found their partners, but he doesn’t believe it’s in the cards for him. However, when Vanessa brings her neighbor to a hospital he happens to be at for the day, he comes to find magic is the least of his worries. Vanessa is a beautiful young woman who owns her own jewelry store full of her own creations. Sure she barely pays her rent, but she’s happy living a life full of happiness and independence. However, lately, in her town, she’s been noticing some odd occurrences that are really starting to make her feel crazy. When Carter comes into her life, her independent lifestyle gets challenged and her crazy is anything but. Can they figure things out for themselves and together? Or is it just too much to handle? I recommend this book for anyone who knows how important it is to be able to handle things on your own, and what a challenge it is to have to work someone else into the picture. Anybody who loves romance, magic, and a little edge would love this book like I do.

Unbreakable (The Diamonds Book 1) by Tee Smith – Review by Beverly Finnie

Unbreakable (The Diamonds, #1)Unbreakable by Tee Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

To me Unbreakable(Diamonds Book 1) by Tee Smith started out slow but I’m glad I didn’t stop reading at that point as I have in the past. Definitely witty with some edge.
I loved Ripper and as the story went on and we got to know him better I loved him more.
Ripper has a difficult past one that makes him fear loving anyone because he’s just going to hurt them. Till Erin stitched him up at the clinic one day, he knew no matter what he did he couldn’t stay away, feelings he didn’t understand. A love triangle brewing with Erin’s ex-husband Josh hanging around. Does Ripper get over his fears? Does Josh cause problems?
Of course there’s also the underground world of gangs mixed in. The Diamonds being a group who are well established vs a young group of street rats threatening to take over. They threaten their businesses, family, and well being. The Diamonds don’t take kindly to this or of the attacks that have taken place to their loved ones.
Does something bad happen? Do they have to take matters into their own hands?
These and the questions mentioned previously are what’s going to keep reading through the twists and turns of this suspenseful romance. I know that’s what did it for me, and now I’m wanting more!

Unbreakable (The Diamonds Book 1) by Tee Smith – Review by Angela Hayes

Unbreakable (The Diamonds, #1)Unbreakable by Tee Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 Stars

Unbreakable is the first book in The Diamonds series by Tee Smith. It is a contemporary romantic suspense with mystery, emotion, angst, secrets, and lies.
While I did enjoy the story, I feel like it was a little slow to get going, and lagged in places, which frustrated me a little. Because of that, it took me a while to really get into the story…… but that might just be me. I will revisit this story again later to see if I still feel the same way or whether I was just having an “off” reading session.
Again, I did enjoy the story and the angsty emotion- but I feel that the author missed an opportunity to take this story to the next level by adding more intensity, action, and drama…
Unbreakable is a story about finding love unexpectedly. Erin and ‘Ripper’ are a case of opposites attract- she’s the ‘good girl’ and he’s the quintessential ‘bad boy’. Erin is trying for a fresh start, leaving her old life behind and moving back to her hometown to care for her ailing mother. Ripper has some pretty heavy baggage, and a past that won’t stop haunting him. Just when things start looking up for both of them, his past casts a dark shadow over their future. The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger that’s intended to lead us into the next book.

Thank you, Tee Smith!

I absolutely enjoyed this story! It was engaging, moved smoothly and all of the plot points worked well together. There was nothing that felt forced or out of place especially being the third book in the series. I didn’t feel like I was missing key points at all.

Lark and Hunter had a beautiful second chance and the road to realization for what caused them to fall apart in the first place was well designed. I loved the character arc that Lark experienced with her family, herself and Hunter as she healed the parts of herself she denied and hid for so long. This was a beautiful story and I will most likely read the others in this series!

The third installment of the Heron Harbor series does not disappoint. Hold Me Forever can be read as a stand alone or in conjunction with the previous two books. Lea Nolan creates relatable characters and realistic environments with her descriptive writing. Hold Me Forever is humorous, romantic, and full of twists and turns. Lea Nolan keeps you on your toes and wanting more! Lark and her sisters have such a good relationship with one another; enviable for this only child! Lark’s free spirit and artistic nature shines through and makes the reader want to take a trip with her in her less than reliable Winnebago. Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart – Review by Lucy Vincent

Her Dark Love (Dark Spell #4)Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Her Dark Love is the fourth instalment of The Blackened Series by author Isra Sravenheart. The book takes us back in time to when Isra is a teenager, starting at a high-end academy where she befriends a young woman by the name of Everlida. As the story progresses, she also meets a young man by the name of Jonathan- handsome and suave, but also is involved with Everlida. Astrid, a raven shapeshifter is a light bringer in the world of magic, tasked with watching over Isra to keep her from falling to the dark, as the prophecy has foretold.

Her Dark Love draws the reader in, and holds them all the way through. I like how we get more insight into Isra’s character, and even into Astrid. I wonder what’s in store for Book 5!

Ride For Me (North Shore Crew Book 1) by Vi Summers is a second chance enemies to lover’s romance. Vi is a new author to me and I was excited to see what she had to offer. I was not disappointed. Sparks fly and the chemistry is electric but it’s not all sunshine and flowers. There is heartache and all-consuming sorrow but there is also the chance to heal the heart and soul. This wonderful story is all consuming and the characters make you fall in love with them. There will be tears so grab the tissues and probably a good stiff drink.

Let me tell you I’m glad I came across this book and as it is the first book in the series, I can’t wait to get my hands on the others.
