I really enjoyed this book and start to what looks to be a promising new series from ND Jackson. Bared. is a wonderful little romance with a sweet group of friends that will make you want to call your besties right now and book a spa day or a sleepover. I know I did! I found myself crying and laughing several times and I love when a book can really pull the emotions from you as you read which is something that ND Jackson is wonderful at in all of her novels. This book is definitely one that will keep you up late or away from the house chores so plan to block out some time as you get sucked into the world of Tru and the Green St Girls. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book!

Cold Bastard is the 2nd book in the Dark Sparrow series. India Kells has created a dark dangerous world of bastards. They are all so different yet all similar. Archer Blackwood doesn’t know about his father or brothers, but he’s about to. Zoe has a debt to repay, but Archer may be more than she bargained for. I love Zoe. It is not often the heroine is a curvy girl with fire inside.

Zoe Somersby is an intelligent woman with a talent for languages and cracking codes, but she has a wicked sense of humour and a love for superheroes too and this is what makes her a dark sparrow, her past life of cracking codes, even when it was the last thing she wanted to do. Archer Blackwood is a British billionaire who is a cold and ruthless businessman who runs a tight ship and has no time for idiots or time wasters, so when Zoe is asked to go undercover into his business to watch over and protect him, she has no idea what she is getting herself into.
Zoe Somersby is starting another day working in Washington DC when a surprise meeting is called with a name from her past, instead of it being their usual weekly meeting, so when she sees the name, she is more than excited at the prospect of seeing her friend again. As she listens to the task she is being set and why, she is even more determined to see it through, apart from having to be stuck in an office again, which is the current bane of her existence, but with her skills and experience, she knows she will do a blinding job.
When Monday morning arrives and Zoe is about to have the interview for her new position, she warms to the woman completing it immediately, however, when Archer Blackwood himself enters the room, Zoe is speechless, but whatever she manages to say gets her the job and the day swiftly gets underway. As the days pass and Zoe is settling into her routine, she cannot deny that Archer is a temptation she is trying her best to resist, but between the work and the long hours in her office translating and drafting, she is exhausted, but every day, something seems to happen to her to annoy her boss even more, he has to deal with some of the consequences.
It is on the third day when the office is attacked and Zoe completely ignores Archers commands and goes out to protect the others working in the office, this is when the attraction between them nearly ignites, until they are interrupted, but later when Archer check in on her at home, things get a little heated and this makes things even more complicated than before, especially when Zoe becomes embroiled in a plot she can’t escape from. Will Zoe be able to protect all those around her while still keeping her sanity and stay alive, or will the players in this twisted game play it better? This a suspenseful romance with twists and turns throughout which lead you down a path you will not want to step off of until you have reached the final destination of the end of the book.

Forbidden Mate has a good story, and we get to learn a lot more about the characters in this world. The characters of Tasha and Levi go through some interesting trials, and I appreciated the sections that were told from Levi’s point of view. They were illuminating into his thoughts and what is important to him. Evil Castus continues to plague Tasha, as well as the Master of the hellspawn, who inches closer to grabbing her into his clutches. I enjoyed seeing more with Radar, Levi’s friend and battlemate, and also Levi’s grandmother. Altogether, I found more variety and depth to this book than the first one. Keep it up, Robertson!

This book had me hooked right from the start as does every book I have read by this author. I became so invested I read it in one sitting. This book can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read these books in order for a better backstory and understanding of Sam’s and his brothers history. This book does contain triggers for some people. Both Sam and Ellie are at the end of their rope, they can’t take anymore mentally or emotionally, they are ready to give up on life. A wrong number changes everything for these two. Sam recognizes the same darkness that’s pulling him under in Ellie’s voice and he feels a very strong need to save her. Ellie has been kidnapped by Sam’s psychopath father and Sam will do whatever it takes to save Ellie and Ellie feels the same way about saving Sam from his father especially after learning of the horrific things his father did to him. This story is full of action, drama, romance, family, healing and more. This is a must read, I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.

Carter is a doctor with healing magic and Vanessa is a human. They meet each other when Vanessa is helping her neighbour to the emergency room after being bit badly by a dog. The electricity between them has them both thinking of each other non stop. Vanessa is being hunted for being too open about her questions about the supernatural. She has caught the eye of someone who wants her to be quieted for good.
If you like a series with witches, werewolves, lycans, demons and more then you will enjoy this series. I loved the characters and the possessiveness of family throughout the whole book. I protect that which is mine.

Deva Landry is a woman with a dark past, she ran away from it and barely survived, but she had some help, in return for a favour which could be called upon any time and now the person who helped her has come calling, but it isn’t all as straight forward as it seems. Aleksei Voronov is a man covered in tattoos who is an MMA fighter with a dark past as well, but he is the one that Deva is sent to watch over, much to her annoyance.
Deva has found a place in a rehab centre for veterans as a physiotherapist and is finally feeling settled when out of the blue an old friend comes calling and asking to call in a favour, she wants her to use her skills as a physiotherapist and knowledge gained from her days as an MC Princess in Chicago to move back there to where it all started and try to observe and protect a man. As they discuss the mission and she meets the man in charge who explains the situation and as soon as she agrees to help, she is put up in an apartment in the north side of Chicago. Her neighbours are lovely, albeit an odd couple and very eccentric but whom endear themselves to Deva pretty quickly and a couple of days of settling in later, she heads over to the gym she will be working in as the new physiotherapist with a mission to keep the MMA fighters who train there fit and ready to fight. However, when she arrives there on her first day, she is surprised to see that the gym is filled with who normally wouldn’t be seen dead around each other, but when she eyeballs the one she is looking for, she is taken aback and that reaction is not normal for her in the slightest.
As Deva becomes part of the furniture at the Gym, she hasn’t officially run into Aleksei and she is worried that she won’t be able to fulfil her mission or her promise, that is until one night when he sneaks into the gym after hours asking for a treatment, but when things get heated between them while Deva is treating him, things get a little spicy, but once Deva cottons on to what is happening, she stops what she is doing and leaves, it is when she realises that it isn’t the kind of treatment he was after. The next day the gym owner is not himself and when she asks what is wrong, it turns out that Aleksei was injured in a fight and needs to get better for his next one in a few days and he asks Deva if she knows anyone who can help, thankfully she does and her mission truly starts when she ends up staying at his apartment to treat him.
This triggers more than a professional relationship when neither of them can deny the burning attraction between them and as they get to know each other more, things get complicated and Deva and Aleksei are thrown together on a mission to protect more than just each other. Will Deva be able to keep her past and present separate, or will it come back to haunt her again? This is a romantic suspense with more action than you can throw a stick at which will dig in its claws and keep you reading until the end.

Dark bastard is the fifth book in the Dark Sparrow series written by India Kells. I have read almost every book in this series and this author and she has me intrigued with this storyline/plot of this book/series. The characters are well written and I loved the way they played off each other with their quirkiness. This is a dark suspenseful with some action and romance thrown together.
Sam Sarkhan is a soldier, he knows the job is not finished; his father is still a threat to his bastard brothers and loved ones, but Sam’s strength has vanished. That is until he dialed a wrong number and connected with a soft female voice, as sad and lonely as he was. Just when Sam gets ready to approach Ellie to drag her back from the edge his worst nightmare resurfaced and in order to save Ellie, he has to face his father. Will Sam save Ellie or will she save herself? Can they defeat his father this time? Will Sam and Ellie open their hearts to love or will they walk away from each other?
You will have to read this story to find out…. Tracy @tracym

If I had a love story to be told I wish for it to be like this! After moving away from home. Living the life she dreamed, Charlie’s happy life came to a halt. But moving back home just might have been the best thing for her and Trent “Tank” (Charlie’s brother’s best friend). Second chances don’t happen over night. And this story of romance, passion, and willing to try again will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love when a romance has a happy ending. You dream for that kind of love!

This was an enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance with a friends to lovers storyline but with a twist. I was hooked from start to finish by this heartwarming romance which had plenty of drama in the plot along with the romance to keep me happily turning the pages. Dahlia And Levi were best friends as children and even though Dahlia had a teenage crush on Levi they remained friends until they became enemies. Now after seven years the pair are reunited by a work project and although Dahlia is determined to keep it professional, Levi has other ideas. Levi never meant to hurt Dahlia, after all she’s the only woman he’s ever loved and now they have met up again he’s determined to win back her trust and become more than just friends. I was fully immersed in this story and found both main characters to be likeable and relatable and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship changed and developed through the years. Although book four in the ‘Love Grows Series’ it can be read as a standalone story, however I have enjoyed each novel in this series and recommend them all as great reads.

Forbidden Mare by CR Robertson is the second book in The Shadow Chronicles. This is an amazing follow up to the first book and one that I was so excited to start reading. The instant I started reading this book I was hooked. I was taken right back into this world and the characters. The way the author writes helped to create such a vivid picture and really made the book what it is. I was completely immersed in this story and what was happening. This is the kind of book that you will want to read in one sitting as you just can’t put it down. After the first book I was intrigued to see where the author would take the series and watching that develop over this book was fascinating. And I loved how you could still feel that strong connection between Levi and Tasha just as much as you could before. This is a brilliant series and I am already looking forward to what comes next.

Well. I said on my last review that Hector is my favorite but Kai is a VERY close second. Not only do I love his choice of attire 😉, but I love HIM as well. All these bastards sure are drool worthy. And Isabel did NOT disappoint! She’s a close second favorite to being my favorite main (other than Zoe)! This third book of the series didn’t disappoint and if you’re reading this review- read the damn series! SO GOOD YALL! On to the next! 💖
I’m always LOVING the books India Kells publishes. (I’m saying that after only reading this series but I don’t care!) Its about time Liam gets his own book (I read a brothers name and I’m ready for his book! 😉) Catriona was a different leading lady but I enjoyed her all the same! These brothers get my heart racing and make a girl wish she could step into the Dark Sparrow world! Read the damn series y’all! It’s easily one of my favorites I’ve discovered this year! Onto the next! 💖
Y’all. I’ve been waiting on Sams book and I. Was. Not. Disappointed. I have always enjoyed his interactions in the other books and Im so happy to read his! Ellie was interesting to read and she tugged at my heart. The prologue was what REALLY sucked me in. India Kells is able to deliver amazing storylines and characters that make you (the reader) so invested! Read the damn series y’all! Onto the next! 💖

A great follow up to Cursed Love. Ethan Broderick is just trying to come to terms with his newly found powers but he can’t seem to get Serena Bishop, his high priestess, mentor and friend out of his mind. As they begin to navigate their feelings for one another it becomes apparent that Serena’s life may possibly be in danger. Renee keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to guess what is going to happen next. The characters are well rounded, the scenes are always evolving and pace is fast. I very much look forward to the next book in the series.

Kells knocks this one out of the park. Dark Bastard is a book about who saves who. When two people come together because they each need something the other one has to offer but doesnt know they need. Sam has a very dark past when it comes to his father and Ellie has her own demons. They get stuck when Sams father ends up taking them and forcing them into roles they dont really want. The bond and growth Sam and Ellie go through is great. I enjoy Kells writing style and she keeps you turning the pages.

This has extremely well written description writing which enhanced the story telling. Enemies for centuries and now a treaty. Old and New enemies are after Tasha and Levi they are not safe anymore. As I got engrossed more in the story I had to know what happen next to this couple.

Dark Bastard is the 5th book in the amazing Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. I have become a huge fan of India Kells over the last few years and the Dark Sparrow series is one of my favourite books series’. Since I read the 4th book in the series and got a little tidbit of what was coming in Dark Bastard I could not wait to read Sam’s story. I just knew it was going to be deep and dark and amazing. I’m so glad to say that I was right (India Kells does not disappoint). Sam’s story makes for some very hard reading as both he and Ellie, the female lead, are both in a very bad place mentally but India Kells does the most amazing job and you are totally sucked into their story and taken on an amazing rollercoaster journey as they continue with the job of bringing down Sam’s evil father (father to all the ‘bastards’ in the series) and trying to keep themselves alive at the same time. I absolutely loved Dark Bastard, not only for the amazing characters that Sam and Ellie are but the incredible storywriting ability that India Kells has. We not only have one of the Bastard brothers left and I’m sure Oz’s story will be just as amazing as the 5 before. I can’t wait to see what India Kells has in store for Oz.

So Close is the fourth book in the Love Grows series by Renee Regent. I have really enjoyed reading this series, so when I saw So Close had released it was an immediate one-click, no questions asked. This is a fantastic friends to enemies to lovers story- with plenty of drama, angst, and chemistry to keep things very interesting. Dahlia and Levi had been the best of friends, until heartbreak tore them apart. With pain and trust issues marring what used to be. But now they are thrust together again- things are about to take an even more interesting turn. A story all about second chances and finding love unexpectedly.

This was my first read by this very wonderful author, and most certainly it shall not be my last. This was the 4th novel they had written in the series. I simply loved the two characters the story focused upon. It had a lot of feeling and a lot of emotion along with it. And to me, if you can feel that, you know its a good book!
The story is told through time and time gaps of the friendship and love that was growing and lost and found again between the characters Dahlia and Levi. In their childhood they were basically the best friends that would always be. At least so they thought. They were each others back and even as children they knew the friendship they had would always be needed and special always and forever.
As the story first opened they were two grown adults. Time and something had happened that separated and ruined everything they had or could have had within testing the strength the bonds of friendship and maybe even true love. Personally for Dahlia she is quite happy with life and doesn’t need a curve ball to change the course of how things are going for her, Dahlia is done and over from the years that they no longer spoke and she wants nothing more than to ever hear his name again. Perhaps you cant avoid destiny? They meet again and probably in the most worst way at the time. They have to work together and basically spend a lot of one on one time together.
Yes things were weird for these two very much, but you honestly could feel their feelings for one another leaping off the pages and truly they loved one another even though there was pain and resentment mixed into the pot. I kept asking myself what happened? What made them lose everything they had? Was Levi at fault, as it truly was the way it seemed?
They spend more time together. Let me say the drama and hurt was strong feeling between these two souls, but I must say love can be the strongest thing of all if you let it. The truth comes out with what happened between them, and it was not what I expected. Then, everything made sense and a lot of things come together and into place, and even hearts that were never meant to leave one another’s side.
Things happen quickly to sum up towards the end of the book. I personally saw this as a romantic movie. The main couple solves the problems and drama that kept them apart and both realize what they wanted all along was one another and they pushed one another away out of hurt and drama. And then like a moment that froze still in time and the rest of the world fast forwarded around them, they found what they always knew what they wanted, and never got, and that was the love of one another and being together. And truly this time they both knew no doubts, forever was in their cards, as well as their hearts.
I really enjoyed reading this love story between Dahlia and Levi. It kept me interested in what happened that ruined everything. And even after the truth came out everything made sense and everything came together like a perfect masterpiece. Love isn’t easy. It isn’t for most. Sometimes you have to go through hard times to really show your love is worth it. And that is exactly what these two souls did
I recommend this book truly. I think the story itself was appealing plus I enjoyed reading about Dahlia and Levi’s backstory of times they shared together. The story was very sweet and enjoyable. I had a good experience reading this book and will read more. And I look forward to that! Pick it up and read this book, its one I can honestly say you will enjoy it as much as I did truly.

This is the third book in this series, and I could not wait to read it. I fell in love with this author from the very first book and that hasn’t changed. This book picks up from the second one and I couldn’t have been more impressed. I love how the author can tell their stories with such warm and inviting characters yet provide the perfect amount of angst and chemistry that I love to read. Her books are quick page turners for me and this one was no different. I laughed and cried but really loved and appreciated this book more than the previous ones. Please do yourself a favor and pick this book up to read.

Book 3 in Heron Harbor series. Author Lea Nolan, in each of these books has taken a set of characters from the back seat of the story line to the front. I like the way we get the repeating characters and yet we get new information and story lines with each book. The author does a good job at tying it all in together and holds our interest with each book. Every reader I think will enjoy these books.

This is the fourth book in this series. We follow Carter who is known as the healing brother of the group. And we meet Vanessa, the small town jeweler.
This book is incredibly fast paced. I was able to finish it in one night, and to be fair I didn’t want to put it down anyways.
I cannot wait for the next in this series as there is one more brother, who is very mysterious.

I am in LOVE with this series. I loved the book before this but so far this one is my favorite.
Be warned there is a trigger warning for abuse and sexual abuse.
We follow Max Broderick, one of our beloved Broderick brothers. And very quickly his powers of talking with animals is a wonderful benefit to him. As he meets Claudia.
This book was also so hard for me to put down. It was filled with adventure, true emotions and the overwhelming feeling of love.
I truly can’t wait to read the next in the series.
This is book two in the Broderick Coven series. We follow our two main characters Ethan and Serena. Ethan is new to his powers and learning how to use them as the oracle.
He is teamed up with our lovely high priestess Serena.
It was a refreshing read to me as many books only portray women as witches and never men. With a new spin on magical reads it was one I didn’t want to put down. Even without reading the first in the series I was able to tell who was who and felt for every character. I cannot wait to read the next in this series! I loved this so much! Okay. Finished this book early this morning. Like the second I woke up I HAD to finish. I really enjoyed the characters from her last book and i LOVED Zoe and Archer even more. Once more the storyline was captivating- there was only a few times I had to take a break from the book. (Definitely made me emotional- that’s as much a spoiler as I’m giving!) This book was even sexier and darker than the last one. Anyone not reading this series is missing out. On to the next! 💖

So this is my first book/series I’ve read by India Kells and boy… you will experience emotions. I did anyway. The writing is so vivid and easily transported me to her world. Aleksei and Deva both tore at my heart throughout the book. I LOVED their characters and interactions. Lazarus King is a favorite too. Who doesn’t like a silver fox? At least that’s how I imagine him. 🥰 If anyone is looking for a sexy, thrilling, romance- check this out! Onto the next!

Gets better and better! I am totally smitten with this series. Tasha and Levi are now on my list of favourite book couples. The story just keeps getting better and just when you think there just couldn’t be more, another twist and off we go! The author has taken the cross-species paranormal theme but evolved it into something brilliantly different. I can’t recommend this series enough if you are after a refreshing paranormal fantasy.

Betsy and Nash’s chance encounter and the possibilities for their relationship kept me coming back every time I put the book down. Debra Parmley found a way to leave me curious about how their relationship may or may not develop throughout the book. While Betsy and Nash were the main characters, Betsy’s sister played a large part in the story and I found myself questioning her character as much as Nash’s. A deeper look into the future for Betsy as well as Nash would have made the book even better, or perhaps they may resurface again in the future.

5 Stars Bared. (A Green St. Girls Romance) by N.D. Jackson
Bared. (A Green St. Girls Romance) by N.D. Jackson is a wonderfully written story that pulled me in from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down. This will take you on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride some parts will make your heart hurt and you will definitely need kleenex. My emotions were all over the place with this story. This is a story about four women who were left alone at a young age. Athena has shut her heart off and doesn’t think she’s capable of love again. That’s untill Tru walks in. Can she give love another shot? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
