Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker – Review by Heidi Sturgess

Almost and Forever: An Emotional Second Chance at Love RomanceAlmost and Forever: An Emotional Second Chance at Love Romance by Angela K. Parker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness I thought I was going to have to go for therapy after this , I kid you not but fret not I’m ok , my heart survived but I can’t say the same for my kleenex supply or chocolate supply 🤣🙈

Every so often you read a book that you don’t want to share with others because the characters and their story climbed into your heart so deep and this is one of them but at the same time I want to tell the world of these beautiful people ❣️

So Hope and Adam didn’t meet by chance even though they think so , you see Adam is about to propose to his dying girlfriend , Ivory and she knew what was coming and she planned for their paths to cross before she was even gone …, ( already crying again )

Adam just wanted to give ivory the world and despite knowing her prognosis he loved her anyway ! How can I not love this man !? When she’s gone he takes a knock , a hard one and with the encouragement of his friends he seeks help and he doesn’t see his counsellor face to face …,,he seems to be living again and my heart sores bug at the same time it twitches with anxiety because I know what’s coming ( at the time I was expecting what’s to come 🤣🙈)

Hope is a giver , she puts everything and everyone first which is such a beautiful character trait but at the same time she more often than not bites the short end of the stick and Adam just seems to complete her but when she connects the dots her world nearly crumbles ( as did mine )

There was a time when I was cross with Ivory but not for long and I’m so grateful for her intervention and that she saw what these 2 could be together and to each other 🥰

This really is a beautifully sad read and it will stay with you for quite some time 🥰📚

I wasn’t sure cause I’m not a big sports fan but this book will bring you to a tolerate level of sports. The romance and caution in the story showing you their love is written amazingly.

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Brandy Rymer

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was one of my absolute favorites in this whole series, and I have to say I loved all of them! Wicked Ends not only gave me the romance I have grown to adore from Isla Vaughn, but she also added in some deep dark mysteries to be solved as well, and boy was it fun to try to piece together all of the clues. I have loved getting to know all of the characters throughout this series, and the fact that they all continue to appear as featured characters as the next family member becomes the main character is just so amazing. What a great story of enemies to lovers that this book has given us with Shane and Winter, their stories from their childhoods are so heartbreaking to read about, but then to see everything that they go through in reconnecting as adults, adds to the intrigue of their relationship. I especially appreciated the bonus epilogue where we get to see into the future of what is going on in everyone’s lives, such an amazing way to end a series that has become so wonderful to follow along with. If you haven’t read any of the books in the Hidden Valley Elite series, you really should start back at the beginning, because each book builds upon the next book in the series. The only thing I regret is that the tale is over, but I cannot wait to see what the author has next in store for her next book or series, because she is an absolute amazing writer!

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Ashly Renner

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I say this with every single review on this series, but this is hands down one of the best series I have ever read! The ending, as much as I didn’t want it to come, was fantastic, and genuinely everything I ever could’ve hope for! I cannot stress enough my love for this series, if you are on the fence or waiting to start reading it, PLEASE just start it now!

It didnt take me long to make an educated guess as to just who was behind everything bad happening in Shane and Winter’s lives. Everything designed to rip them apart only brought them closer. Absolutely phenomenal series, and I cannot wait to read more from Isla Vaughn!

Festive Fates: 11 Spirited Holiday TalesFestive Fates: 11 Spirited Holiday Tales by Natalie Palma

Festive Fates Anthology is a collection of eleven engrossing stories by eleven talented authors. These authors all have different styles and approaches to their writing- but each one is unique and individual, adding its mark to the overall anthology. These authors have come together with a common purpose- to get us in the festive spirit, set the mood ready for the holidays.
We have a variety of stories, from sweet to spicy – we get sci-fi, fantasy, contemporary romance, paranormal, adventure, mystery, history, and more. We meet a variety of leading characters as each of the stories are cast with wonderful characters who easily pull you into their tale, getting you invested in them and the outcome of their story, and keeping you immersed the whole way through.
All the stories are set around the holidays, and while most are set around Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving are also represented.
So, find a comfy spot and settle in for a wonderful reading experience…

The Anthology contains:
Twas the Fight Before Christmas By: Pauline Baird Jones
Delilah Oliver Clementyne “Doc” has to make it through Christmas celebrations with the family- ugly sweater and all. She is a tough cookie, but this is a Christmas she won’t soon forget- especially when Santa and his elves enter the scene. This romantic science fiction story makes for an entertaining read, bringing action, adventure, family, love, courage, and opening your heart.

Home for Christmas At Christmas By: Candace Colt
“It never got old. If she lived to be a hundred, Rhea Tanner could never be jaded by the mind-blowing experience of cruising among the stars. The panoramic view out the window of the Xigard 200 was beautiful, of course. And mesmerizing. And always scary. As she stared into the endless universe, her thoughts turned to her family on Earth. It was Christmas— another one she’d missed with them.”
This is a great sci-fi paranormal romance with a sweet story, fantasy, witches, Christmas, and family. With the arrival of another Christmas, being so far away from home has Rhea feeling particularly homesick. Little does she know that her man has a big surprise planned. But will things turn out the way he planned? Will Christmas wishes come true? You really should read all the sweet details for yourself.

Unwrapping the True Spirit By: Electra Gajdos
This is a story about finding the true meaning of the season. With family dynamics, drama, mischief, pranks, mayhem, and things going awry- we follow as the Keen family learn what’s truly important.

Christmas Trappings By: Kendra Hatch
Christmas Trappings is a fun Sci-fi story with plenty of hijinks, family, aliens, humour, capers, the joys of the holiday season, and more. What happens when alien ‘friends’ take it upon themselves to save their human family from the ‘dreaded’ Santa Claus. Alex has his work cut out for him if he has any chance of salvaging Christmas for his family.

The Winter Queen (A Court of the Yuletide Fae Prequel) By: Cassandra Chandler
OMG- this is such a sweet story. Giving a new perspective on the Winter Queen folktales. We get pulled into Kris Kringle and the Winter Queen’s story- and I was entirely captivated the whole way through. I didn’t want it to end. So, I was excited to see that it is part of a series which I will definitely be diving into asap.
The Winter Queen is the prequel to A Court of the Yuletide series. It is a sweet paranormal romance with a completely charming storyline that you won’t want to miss!

Retired, but not Forgotten (A Madison Law Prequel) By: Natalie Palma
Retired, but not Forgotten is the prequel to the Madison Law series. It is a fantastic cozy mystery, with some edgy/darker tones that made the story even more intriguing. Madison is a medically retired police detective turned PI, who gets pulled into a missing persons case that leads to more than she bargained for. With drama, danger, tension and more- this story packs a lot into a small space. I have not read any of Ms. Palma’s stories before, so I was excited to dive into this short story and get a taste of what she can do. I love that this was a mystery- and really loved meeting Madison Law. I can’t wait to continue the series and see what else she gets up to. One of my favourites from this collection.

Sunshine’s War By: Jill Wallace
This is an historical romance set during WWII. We go on a journey of finding love unexpectedly in the most challenging of situations, promises made, hope, and emotion. Will the promises made during harrowing times be kept- or are they just words spoken in the heat of the moment?

Wicked Beginnings By: Stephanie Harrell
Another of my favourites of this series. This is a fantastic contemporary romance with an age gap, boss/employee attraction, chemistry, secret desires, a Christmas party, revelations, a grumpy/sunshine factor, a plus size FMC, tension, drama, and interesting characters. It is told from a duel POV, which gives the story an extra element of interest- as we get to see things playing out from both the MC’s perspectives. Highly recommended.

Magical Mayhem (Boogie Beach and The Record Series Prequel) By: Winnie Winkle
This is the prequel to Boogie Beach and The Record series and is a very entertaining urban fantasy. Set during Halloween this story brings magic, shenanigans, spice, humour, fun, paranormal beings, and so much more. Cleopatra O’Keefe is forced to work on the night of her 21st birthday- which she isn’t too happy about. But add in the fact that her cocktail mixing skills have got to be on point, and serving the magical community attendees, puts extra pressure on Cleopatra to not mess things up. Being a Keeper means she has responsibilities she can’t ignore. What is a keeper? Does she manage to not mess things up? How Does the night turn out? You really should read all the fun details for yourself.
“Halloween is coming up, Patra. This year, it’s falling on a full moon which means a night of absolute insanity. Either the holiday or the moon are already crazy; stick them together and it’s an epic mashup of magical mayhem. I need help, so starting immediately, you’re training on the magic side. Be prepared to recite cocktail recipes, hazards, and cleanup procedures at the drop of a hat. Screw up and you might die. So don’t.”
“Billy! That’s my twenty-first birthday! My real one, I mean. Sadie’s throwing me a party. I…”
Serious brown eyes stared me down. “Did you take an oath and accept your role?” “Well, yeah, but,” my voice dribbled off.

Seshka’s Gift (Mageguild Academy Prequel) By: Eliza Sinclair
This is the prequel to the Mageguild Academy series, which I will definitely be exploring after reading this engrossing morsel. Seshka and Rexi set off on a tour of the city. But what should have been an easy exercise takes a dangerous turn, thrusting the pair into a high-stakes adventure. This is a great little fantasy with magic, mages, a battle for survival, being put to the test, intrigue, and more.

Searching for Thanksgiving (A Dragonlings of Valdier Novella) By: S.E. Smith
This charming fantasy has all the ingredients needed to keep me flipping the pages to find out how everything plays out.
-Fantasy
-Dragonlings
_Adventure
-A quest to find Thanksgiving
-Shifters
-A little drama
-A sprinkle of mystery
-A touch of mayhem
-A pinch of the unexpected
All combined to make a fun read.

All the stories are so engaging, with wonderfully written plots, and well-developed characters. I have read books by several of these talented authors before- but most of the authors were new to me… so I was excited to not only read the contributions by the authors I knew and loved, but also to get an introduction to the authors who are new to me.
So, settle down for some wonderful reading. There’s definitely something here for everyone!
Happy Reading…

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

Noooo!!! What am I gonna do now that this amazing series has ended 😭😭😭 it’s sooo bittersweet. I couldn’t wait to read it but I didn’t want it to be finished. Geez this whole series has been an emotional Rollercoaster, and this one was no different. Shoot I think this one was crazier than the previous book. It really hit me in the feels 🥲😭. This author has built such an amazing world with such dark complex character, that i think i’m having a book hangover🤣.I gotta find another book to recover. The suspense in this gave me anxiety lol but getting to their HEA was everything or was it. You’ll have to read it so you can see what I’m talking about and while you’re at it, if you somehow starting on this one HIGHLY recommend that you go read all of them. By the way, I absolutely love the epilogue.

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series) by Jennifer Spredemann – Review by Julie Johnson

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship #3)A Christmas Amish Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I found myself wanting to know more of the story than this short novella provided, but at the same time, it was just the right amount of story.

Anne Eichner is alone again for yet another Christmas after her betrothed of 5 years decided to go Englisch. She starts receiving letters from someone who knows her but she is not given his identity. The letter says that after a year of corresponding, they will marry. This has Anne intrigued and she begins to write back to this stranger.

Andy Stoltzfus is a teacher looking to relocate back to the homeland and to be accepted back into the fold. He’s currently between different homes and building another for himself and his soon to be bride.

Anne finds herself falling for Andy while still receiving mystery letters. She’s soon going to have to make a decision that could end up hurting someone. Then her old beau comes groveling back to her. Whatever will she do?

I absolutely loved reading this story! It had been quite some time since I read a novel about the Amish and I’ve missed it! This made for a very enjoyable read on a quiet afternoon!

Orenda (The Latitude Series Book 2)Orenda by T.S. Simons
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ve been following the Antipodes series and now the follow-up Latitude series, and this novel is the latest installment. The story is gripping, perfect for fans of dystopian romance, and the characters are strong and well-developed. I also think that the series is unique in the way the author tries to incorporate different belief systems from around the world to create an imagined one. There’s plenty of drama and tragedy, and the suspense doesn’t let up until the end. I would recommend reading both series in order as it gets pretty complex and characters reappear. Can’t wait for the next book!

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Kristin Boutelle

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First off, this book cannot be read as a standalone novel, I would recommend reading Wicked Games prior to reading this one. There is a rollercoaster of emotions and plot twists, it’s hard to keep up with what’s going on. The author does well in keeping all the characters in the prior novels in each story. The main characters, Winter and Shane, have shown emotional growth in the story, from how they were acting in the past to now. I like how the author incorporates events from the other novels in the series to this one to keep it all flowing as it should be. All the characters are very relatable with what’s going on. This series is a very good read and suspenseful.

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series) by Jennifer Spredemann – Review by Jennifer Gordon

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship #3)A Christmas Amish Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and heartwarming Christmas romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Anne Eicher loves Christmas and the joy of the season, she loves the baking, the decorating and all the holiday festivities. Anne is worried about taking another chance at love, but she hadn’t planned on spending yet another Christmas alone. Which is why she decides to take a chance when she receives a mysterious letter from a secret admirer. Andy Stoltzfus knows that his heart craves Anne, she’s genuine, faithful and true, unlike her sister who left him for another man. Taking a second chance at love he makes a plan to win both Anne’s heart and her hand, but unfortunately the plan backfires! I loved the sweet, faith-filled storyline which along with the lovely characters and the magical setting had captivated throughout. The story was full of Christmas spirit and it definitely did bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart!

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series) by Jennifer Spredemann – Review by Charlene Pryke

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship #3)A Christmas Amish Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Christmas Amish Courtship is a very sweet novel of how Anne and Andy found true love. Both had been jilted in the past after years of courtship.

Andy admired Anne and started a penmanship with her hiding behind anonymity of the title “a secret admirer”- Andy then takes a teaching posting at the local school and as Anne is looking after her younger siblings they are destined to meet again and fall in love. Anne starts to compare little pieces of Andy and her secret admirer and wonders if they are in fact the same person.

I loved the integration of Amish words into the novel and it was very interesting to learn about Amish culture. This is book 3 in the Amish Courtship series by Jennifer Spredemann but I was able to easily read it as a stand alone novel. I will however be looking to read the other books in this series ❤️

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Kerry Carr

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow just wow. I have loved this series from the first book and knowing this was the last one made me torn. I was desperate to read it to find out what happens but also I didn’t want it to end.

This is book 8 of the Hidden Valley Elite Series and the second part of Winter and Shane’s story. In this story we finally learn the truth about what happened to Winter’s sister all those years ago and trust me you will not believe the twist.
And we are back with Winter and Shane as they are struggling with past demons and trying to forgive the past so that they can move forward.
This is a very emotional story as we uncover the demons that plague not only Winter but Shane as well. They are 2 damaged souls that need that special someone to help them heal.

I read this book in one sitting even though I tried not to. A part of me feels sad that I have now finished my adventure with the 4 Hidden Valley Elite boys. I have watched them grow, mature, overcome obstacles, find love and also find peace. They all feel like family.
It has been a long time since I have been completely captivated by a series and the characters within it.
If you haven’t read this series yet then you need to. You definately won’t regret letting this family into your heart.

Wayward

I love this book! This is the first book in this new series for this author. Her writing style is creative and engaging. The characters pop off the pages and make the story seem real. They are connectable and relatable, they make the story. In this book, we get to see Jay’s story and what a story it is. He meets Sasha, the problem is she has mafia connections. There is just something about her he can’t get out of his mind. Will he be able to move past that and take her heart? A must read!

Undercover

I loved this story as it is engaging, creative and certainly brings the heat. This author’s characters pop off the pages as well as make me feel as if I was right there with them. This is one of my favorite authors because of the way she is able to tell a story that makes me come back for more. This is Matt and Marenah’s story. One a security guard and the other a granddaughter of the Russian mafia. Will they overcome the struggles they face or will it all be too much? A must read!

Finding out the details against Sasha, he strives to help the one person he feels compelled to protect Marenah although they are both running from the Russian and Chicago Mafia’s will he keep her safe.

Marenah holds a powerful secret which can destroy the two families of the mafia, but they are determined to she her dead. Can the one person she has trusted help her keep alive and can she push down the feelings for this man or will they destroy each other in the process.

OMG I have come to believe that this author is a genesis in the suspense and thrilling nature of her books and these two books do not disappoint. The books are well written as always and holds just enough sexual chemistry, intrigue and thrilling turns to hold your attention all the way through each book. I could not put these books down.

I always love the powerful female characters and Sasha and Marenah are no exception with the vunerability with the added strength is beautiful to read and although Jay and Matt are Alpha male character you have to love a flawed hero at the best of times and these two are said males.

I can’t wait to read more books in this series or by this wonderful author, thank you.

What a wonderful story about Lauren and Jake, college sweethearts who have not seen each other in years due to a traumatic event that caused them to part ways on bad terms due to no fault of their own. Lauren went on to become a social worker, and Jake a police officer both working in the same community for the past couple of years without ever crossing paths until one sad night. Both were called in on a domestic violence case, where they are shocked to be reunited. The twin’s mother is sent to the hospital to seek medical attention, and their abusive father is taken to jail to await his trial. Lauren understands that there is nowhere to take the twins, so she volunteers to take them into her own home. Jake sees this as a perfect opportunity to reconnect with Lauren and to talk to her about what happened in the past in hopes of rekindling their relationship. This was a pretty quick read at only 19 chapters but it was well developed. I do have to say that this book does talk about a sensitive subject in one of the early chapters so read at your own risk. Lauren has a rough upbringing but was adopted by Miss Renita and went on to become a social worker. Jake was her first love and she trusted him beyond words. It took a lot for her to open up but that was all torn away in an instant. Now several years have passed and they’re in the same town, working in the same circle, and Jake wants to make things right. He had been looking for her the whole time and now that he knows where she is he’s determined to carve out a place in her life once again. Will Lauren be willing to listen to what really happened and forgive him?

Whispered Surrender is the first book in the Sinful Duets series by Via Mari. This is a fantastic romantic suspense duet that contains two standalone stories- ‘Wayward’ and ‘Undercover’. I love the way Via Mari weaves her stories with plenty of chemistry, sizzle, danger, secrets, hidden agendas, action, mystery, a whole lot of intrigue, emotion, and so much more. I’m always guaranteed of a unputdownable read when I dive into one of her stories, and that’s certainly the case for this book too.
I love that we get a duet, two fantastic stories together in one book- it really allowed me to sink my tenth into some ‘meaty’ stories. I love the Billionaire Bodyguards, and this is a great way to immerse yourself in their world.
Via Mari is one of my ‘go-to’ authors, and her superb romantic suspense stories come with gripping suspense, intrigue, palpable tension, and sizzling chemistry- while balancing everything with believable emotion.
Another riveting read from this talented author!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Via Mari!

Dark Moon Secrets (The Witch Moon Series Book 1) by Lilliana Rose – Review by Ayla Phipps

Dark Moon Secrets (Witch Moon #1)Dark Moon Secrets by Lilliana Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fate or choice. Everything is about to change. This is the first book in the new series by the incredible Lilliana Rose. Having read her Protector Wolf Shifter Series, I was very excited and looking forward to this new series. Dual perspectives of Tanjie and Alaric as they face life altering changes that lead to them meeting and so much more.
Tanjie has had a beyond tragic and painful past year and seems the fates weren’t done with her when she sadly finds her elderly neighbor Maria had passed away in her apartment. Since her parents’ “accident” she had focused on finding her own path and making her own choices. Her entire life she rejected her parents “hippie ways” and though odd she found comfort with her neighbor Maria. Like her parents she too had “hippie ways” and rejected tea and tarot card readings at every mention. Only after Maria’s passing and finding her will leaving Tanjie with a “bookstore” is she forced to confront the path she rejected long ago. Alaric is the son of the alpha and is set to take charge of the pack when the time comes but he wants it now. He is restless and always searching for something more when a scent quickly becomes an addiction. The new owner of the “shop” Tanjie draws him in, unable to fight the desire and pull just her smile urges him to finally open his eyes and understand his father’s warnings of power and respect. Tanjie demands to know the truth from Luna, Maria’s friend that was running the shop, but nothing prepared her for the truth. With the help of the sexy bad boy Alaric that drew her to him and the urge to learn more about her power she was finding more reasons to stay. No longer wanting to run back to the city and forget the little town with its secrets.
What will happen when the wolves finally strike demanding power over themselves? Can Tanjie defend herself when the “war” begins? Will Alaric and Tanjie find balance in their species to overcome being forbidden lovers? This author always makes a “normal” world seem so much more when the blinders are pulled back and the supernatural thrives in the shadows of everyday life. Forbidden love is always a favorite troupe and more so when it involves those going against “the rules” and finding their own path, making a better world for all. I was left speechless and breathless by the time I reached the end and instantly began hunting for a release date to book two, New Moon Fate, to see where Tanjie’s story continues. Will she see her wolf again? My eyes are open and waiting for updates. This series is an instant favorite with just book one.

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship Series Book #3) by Jennifer Spredemann – Review by Angela Hayes

A Christmas Amish Courtship (Amish Courtship #3)A Christmas Amish Courtship by Jennifer Spredemann
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 Stars

A Christmas Amish Courtship is the third book in the Amish Courtship series by Jennifer Spredemann. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Spredemann, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But I do love a great Christmas story, and this looked like it would bring something a little different to the table, so I took a chance and jumped in.
What I discovered is a really sweet Christmas romance woven with faith, emotion, heartwarming touches, forgiveness, family, community, God’s plan, and finding love unexpectedly.
Anne and Andy have both been spurned by love. But can some anonymous love letter’s help bring these two the love they have been searching for? What happens? This makes for a charming read to find out…
If you love faith-filled romance, with a sweet connection, Christmas settings, emotion, and heartwarming developments- then this is definitely the book for you.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Jennifer Spredemann!

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Kay Stritesky

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I am invested in this series. You don’t come this far and give up right!? With that being said I do enjoy these books but at times the series feels a little forced. I do enjoy most of the books having the same characters so you receive updates on prior focuses! Overall good read WITH AN ENDING YOU DID NOT SEE COMING! The ending really redeemed the parts of the book that had me wishing I could just end my relationship with a series I am so invested in.

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Candida Hopper

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an awesome duet. Two books in one is the best of both worlds. These books have hot bodyguards, action, romance, danger, feisty and strong woman characters, and so much more. These stories will keep you glued to the pages wanting to know what happens next and just when you think you know what’s going to happen there are unexpected twists and turns that throw you for a loop. I have enjoyed every book I have read by this author and these ones are no different. This author has a way of engaging the reader and making me invested in the outcome of the characters. There are ups and downs, times when I’m on the edge of my seat and character growth. These books have everything I want and need out of a good story. This is a must read if you want to find out more about Sasha and Jay and Merenah and Matt. I highly recommend this read.

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Micalah Weatherholtz

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author was a new to me but I’m always looking to broaden my book horizons and expand my to be read list so I was excited to pick up Whispered Surrender. Via Mari is such a well reviewed author that I felt confident that I would enjoy reading one of her books and I’m glad I took that chance. Whispered Surrender is actually two books and not just one which was nice. We get to read about two possessive, alpha male, mafia bodyguards, and the woman they fall in love with. Jay and Sasha, Matt and Mirenah are the dynamic couples in these two novels that were full of drama, suspense, intrigue, and fast paced with a dash of spicyness. Sasha and Mirenah are actually twin sisters which was really unexpected but a neat twist. I’m looking forward to picking up more books by this author.

Be True with Me (Be with Me Series) by CA Miconi – Review by Robin Rankin

Be True with Me (Be with Me, #3)Be True with Me by C.A. Miconi

Be True with Me: A small town steamy, second chance, interracial romance (Be with Me Series, Book Three)

Another trip to Green Springs to catch up with our previous couples and to get to know a new one.

Lauren is an absolute angel, after a less than ideal childhood she has become to person to help kids and families going through a rough time. Her work as a case worker causes her to see the bad, while trying to protect her clients.

Jake is another angel, but he has a badge. He too sees the darker side if things. He runs into the one who got away on the scene, he decides then to help Lauren and the kids who are now in her care.

Being a social worker is really a thankless job, she sees these families dealing with some difficult times and full of emotions. I have dealt with case workers in my youth, they definitely left a lasting impression on me.

I adored this book, Lauren, Jake and those precious babies. I hope we get to reunite with them and the other good people of Green Springs soon.

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Felicia Bates

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wayward
Via Mari has a talent for crafting hot and steamy chemistry between characters with strong storylines. I used to have a preconceived notion that if a book was sexy it couldn’t have substance too, Via Mari shatters that misconception with each book I read.
I have to say I loved Wayward and it may have been my favorite Via Mari book thus far. I look forward to seeing what more is to come.

Undercover
How I could go from never reading a particular Author to becoming hooked on multiple series at once is beyond me, but Via Mari has me completely hooked.
With likable characters and intense passion, each book I read by this author impresses me through and through. I had a preconceived notion that steamy romances meant the storyline wouldn’t have depth or substance. Via Mari has shown me this couldn’t be further from the truth. Undercover has twists and turns that kept me interested from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more from Via Mari, as usual.

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Tausha Treadway

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets #1)Whispered Surrender by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Whispered Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 1) by Via Mari. I love anything by this author and anything Mafia so this was a book made in Heaven. I loved every second of it. The first story is Wayward about Sasha and Jay. I thought Sasha was a snot because she is a beautiful ballerina but when you really get to know her she’s not. Jay fell for her the minute he saw her but she only had eyes for her boss. How will Jay every get her to see him for the decent guy he is? Sasha is wrapped up in herself and Jay is doing security for the Mafia. Will the good guy win in this romance? The second story was Undercover and its the story of Matt and Marenah. Marenah is Sasha’s twin sister and is a lot nicer than Sasha. Many people are after Marenah to kill her. Matt and Marenah meet when the Chicago mafia kidnap them and meet back up in Russia. Marenah has a huge secret and she will do anything to keep it. Matt finally figures out who Marenah is and their chemistry is off the charts. He tries to dig as deep as he can to get to know her to find out her secret. Will he ever discover the truth and if he does will he feel about her the same way. These stories will keep you flipping pages until the very end. Amazing book!

Wicked Ends: A Dark College Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Series, Book 8 ) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Wicked Ends (Hidden Valley Elite #8)Wicked Ends by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this entire series of the elites. Each book was better than the last. Most of the same characters are seen in many of the books so it’s good to get updates.
Shane and Winter have such a past. They knew eachother as kids. Both are completely different people now. Is there a chance they can work out their issues from their childhood?
There’s a lot of action and suspense in this book. Who was there the day Winter and her sister were pushed into the water? Was it Winter’s mom? Was it a friend? Wow just wow. Never saw that ending coming. What a great ending to an amazing series. I hope this author continues writing amazing books like this series.
