This is not the type of book I would normally go for, but I am so glad I picked it up! McKinley does a great job at giving readers Romance, Mystery, and some, in my opinion, Thrill. The storyline between Hannah and Jack is addicting. I also love how McKinley gives readers insight into the back story with flashbacks, that help the reader gain a better understanding of Hannah and Jack. 10/10 would read this book again, I feel like it is one that I will keep going back to!

Honesty, this book was so amazing from beginning to end, I pretty much read it thru a 24 hour day, I just kept wanting more and more and to basically be in Venice! The author truly has a natural talent not only for an amazing story and novel but the descriptions they use to describe the art and landscapes of Venice is truly what captured my heart and my mind from the very start.
I love romance stories and anything of the sort. This novel was my first time reading by this amazing author. And this most certainly will not my be my last.
It wasn’t just the art descriptions that hooked me but also the characters! Gianna and the man who she meets in perhaps dare to say random act of being heroic. But is life really that common where you meet someone thru an even that you may never have met other wise? Is there truly reasons behind why things happen to you that you may be unable to explain?
I think the characters Gianna and Sergio had these thoughts from when their eyes first met in their daring encounter. I think based on what I felt they felt they knew some how even though at the time they could not explain it they had felt these exact feelings in that moment before. But the question was how?
As I continued to read on, the story just captivated me to read more and more and I yearned for more and what was to come. This was a work of art itself. The story of how it progresses thru the tale of the time in Venice it was honestly so amazing and beautiful and I was truly sent to another world…perhaps dare to say not even in this life time.
This author truly is amazing and I have no words to describe their creative and artistic ability that would do them justice.
This will not be my last but more less my first of many. I want more and I already want more novels by Amy McKinley.
She has an gift to touch an reader, in a way that feels like a beautiful painting being made with every stroke made, more beauty just keeps flowing form the brush to the paper or canvas
Pick up this novel and read it! You will fall in love over and over again. That is a promise 🙂

I really enjoyed reading this book. Life not always easy. Adien and Neal have a deep connection, it’s hard coming to terms with a new person unexpected comes into your life. It really is an oppsties attraction seeing how each character bounces off each other.

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance) (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – I love Amy McKinley books and this one was no different. This is the story of Gianna Bellini who is an artist who has just landed her dream job in Venice to restore a century old painting. While walking about Venice one day she takes a misstep and almost lands in a canal but a gentleman by the name of Sergio Vitale saves her. She and Sergio form a friendship and she leans on him to help her thru the new city. When she begins work on the painting she realizes its missing a panel so she turns to Sergio again for help. Sergio also admits to Gianna he has feelings for her so that throws another wrench in the situation. Will Gianna be able to solve the mystery of the missing panel and will she and Sergio make a go at a relationship. This book is a fast paced fun read!

Competing with the Star is the first book I’ve read by this author and also the second book in the Star series. I would strongly suggest reading book 1 before reading book 2 as I had to piece things together as best as I could in order to truly enjoy this read. However, I did still enjoy this YA romance read.
I enjoyed how the author managed to create a solid group of friends, their interactions seemed really genuine and real to how they would behave at that age given the circumstances. I look forward to going back and reading book 1 to find out how everything started!

I am really enjoying this series and I think this book is definitely my favourite so far. Even though this is book 3, it can be read as a standalone, although I’d recommend reading them in order as other characters do make an odd appearance. Hannah is a sleeper agent for Russia, and is finally activated. Jack works for Grey Ghost and Hannah is the girl that got away. I loved Hannah’s character, it was a refreshing change to see the female lead be as competent at espionage as the guys, and she was seriously well trained. I enjoyed the style of the book, the flashbacks to Hannah’s youth, helped explain how she ended up where she did and why her loyalty lay where is did, and why she trusted nobody … until Jack. Jack is certain that Hannah is his future, but he can’t bring himself to trust her completely after he finds out that she is a sky. The complex plot of this story was brilliant, very well explained and really does keep you guessing until the end. There are several, ‘I wasn’t expecting that’ moments that really add to the suspense. Definitely a book and series I would recommend. The narration by Regan Brown is excellent as usual and I enjoy that the same voice is used for all the books. In the series.

Amy McKinley proves yet again that she is a magnificent writer that deserves to be on every romance-lovers to-read list with her second book of the Moonlit Destinations series. More suspenseful than the previous and leaving the reader wondering what will happen next, it is no wonder that I finished yet another one of her books in record time. Yet again, I find myself excited to read the next book in this series, and eventually read the series it is connected to, the Gray Ghost series.
The book reels you in from the very first paragraph, with a heart-pounding scene that leaves you questioning what just happened. When the lovers reunite later on, you can’t help but hope that the novel will end with a happy ending, despite many things trying to keep them apart. Another short yet sweet novel, readers will devour this quickly.

Amy knows what genre works for her and she does it really well. This romance suspense story takes us through the cobblestone pathways, water canals and centuries old buildings and art of beautiful Venice. I have visited Italy, so it was so easy to envision all that Amy’s rich narrative provided. There is mystery and suspense which just adds another dimension to this already wonderful read. This is most definitely my favourite book by Amy to date.

Of Fire and Bone is the third and final instalment in the Of Magic and Scales series by Natalina Reis. This is a fantastic paranormal MM romance with a plot that will keep you glued to the pages until you’ve read every last word. Natalina Reis never fails to deliver unforgettable stories, and this book/series is definitely a favourite. As this book follows on from the first two, I really recommend reading them before starting on this one. Knowing what happened in Books #1 and #2 will definitely enrich your reading experience of this book. I loved Aiden and Nael right from the beginning- they are such great characters- their chemistry is intense- and with Aiden’s past and the fact that Nael is a merman, Ms. Reis had me hooked right from the get-go! A lot has happened since the first book, but things aren’t about to get any easier as danger mounts- new discoveries are made, taking us on quite a wild ride. This was a bit of a bitter-sweet read for me as I really wanted to find out how everything plays out in the end, but also knowing that this is the final instalment of the series. Gods, goddesses, druids, hidden agendas, discovery, suspense, danger, dramatic developments, sexy details, and wonderful world building all blended together into a captivating story. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Reis does next. Happy Reading!

Amy McKinley strikes again! One of her shorter novels, Moonlit Whisper: An Irish Romance, this modern contemporary romance was good albeit too short for my liking, as I can never get enough of her writing! Amy is solidifying herself as one of my favorite authors the more I read of her, every book I read I finish wanting more of her!
A classic second chance at romance, Amy does a great job at giving backgrounds to each of the main characters, helping the reader to understand the character and romance between them. I devoured this book in mere hours, much like her other novels, and am excited to read more!
This book was a good one. I have read many books by this author and this one was a good one to spend my weekend reading and made me remember why I like this author so much. Good writing & loveable characters! I will be reading more by her in the future because I can’t get enough of these MC books! Happy Reading!

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons is a hot sexy compilation of seven of L.M. Mountford’s books. These are short excerpts that will leave you wanting more, but oh so satisfied. This is the first book that I have read/listened to by this author, but I’m definitely going to check out more books soon. The narrator is Tia Johnson and she is new to me also. She has a hot sexy voice that really make the characters come to life. This is definitely a hot sizzling read.

I was drawn into the story from the very beginning and was so absorbed by it that I couldn’t put it down, reading it from beginning to end in one sitting. It is a fantastic romantic suspense, with mystery, sizzle, dramatic developments, intriguing characters, and enticing storyline. I loved the whole mysterious, otherworldly vibe that Ms. McKinley infused into her storyline- it definitely added an extra element of interest to the storyline. I love that Ms. McKinley always manages to up the ante with each new story- creating new and unexpected ways to keep me enthralled. Gianna Bellini can’t believe her luck when she hired to restore a large fresco painting in Venice. She has long dreamed of the city of bridges, and can’t wait for her adventure to begin. As soon as she lands, Gianna can’t help but feel a familiarity that she can’t quite explain. She feels like she’s been there before, but not in this lifetime. Things take an interesting and somewhat mysterious turn, bringing Sergio Vitale into her life. As things heat up, strange things begin to happen. Sinister forces seem to want to direct her fate. Sergio is at the café when Gianna becomes dizzy and stays with her as she recovers. There is an instant connection that he doesn’t quite understand but he wants to follow where his heart is leading him. As weird occurrences happen around Gianna, he is realizing that the superstitions and folklore of Venice may have more truth to them than her realized.
This book has a supernatural feel to it with the spirits of the past intertwining with the mortals of the present. It made for a unique story that I enjoyed reading. The story wove the two realms together in a romantic, yet eye-opening, way…which made for an entertaining story.

Whew! Plot was well-developed and definitely an original storyline with tragic circumstances at the beginning. I was definitely hooked from the first chapter. We get to watch our heroine develop and grow. I really enjoyed getting to know Wraith. I loved the way he was with Sophie. I enjoy stories with multiple characters especially if I know I can look forward to their love stories. I will be reading the next books in the series. The author did a great job of bringing some issues forward that are overlooked when it comes to a disabled or handicapped individual. I’m interested to see if this was something she wanted to do with just this story, or if other stories in this series deal with issues or trauma. Overall, great read!

If Amy McKinley wrote it, I am going to read it! I definitely enjoyed Moonlit Kiss but I would be lying if I said that it didn’t take me a bit to get into. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can’t think of a single thing wrong with this book which is a prime example of why I will read anything by this author. I think I just have an attachment to her Gray Ghost series! Moonlit kiss had a lot of great supporting characters that made the story for me! The imagery is enough to transport you on a vacation and once I let myself be transported, I didn’t want to put the book down. Another win for Amy McKinley, 4 out of 5 stars from me.

Oh what a web we weave when we deceive! Nadia has woven quite the web when Cade runs into her again several years after she has rescued him from drowning. The spark is still there but secrets are being hidden under the surface. Can this romance hold up once the secrets are out? Is it strong enough to stand? Cade and Nadia are so well-written that you can feel every feeling they have as you read this story. The plot, twisted as it is, kept me on the edge of my seat from page 1.

I absolutely loved this novella! Sons of Sindicato by Sonya Jesus & Cam Johns is a captivating suspense filled novella to start off the Sons of Sindicato series and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Braelynn and Seth!
Braelynn is a successful criminal defense attorney who put everything she has into her career. And it could all be lost in a blink of an eye. Not only is she having a secret affair with a client but she just committed murder. Surely that would get you disbarred.
Seth is the son of the leader of the Sindicato. He finds himself needing a good attorney to help get him out of the trouble he was in and man did she do her job! But from the beginning, Braelynn had his attention and he’s not sure that’s a great idea considering how his family fells about it. But he’s willing to do anything for her. He would even help cover up a murder. Will he go as far as walking away from his family?
This was an amazing story. Yes, I do wish it would have really gone into their story more but wow did it pack a punch! I will be adding Sonya & Cam as my list of “must-read” authors!

Denise did a fantastic job getting this story started. I have always been a fan of stories about people out of time. Add in magic, a coven, and a story with ENORMOUS potential for growth?! I’m hooked. I read it so quickly I wanted to re-read it and get started on the rest as soon as possible. Cassie is a witch out of time with a story of her own to tell. Nick is running away from his magic, but cannot help the pull of Cassie and their interwoven destiny. I am so glad to have found this author! The mystery surrounding everything that has happened since Cassie was transported through time and what could potentially happen now that they are on the right track is gonna keep me addicted to Denise’s writing for as many books as she has to offer! Don’t pass up the chance to read this story and follow this author. I know I’m glad that I did.

This is the third book and my third audio by this author. I couldn’t wait to listen to it. I loved the previous two audiobooks which I would highly suggest before this one to help enhance your enjoyment of this series. I loved being pulled into the story of Alexander and Krystina by the narrator’s voice from the beginning. This is their conclusion to their story which I will miss but I can’t wait to see what this author has for us next. Their story is one of heart, secrets and an attraction like no other. Krystina is faced with a decision that will either make Alexander’s life come tumbling down or save his life. What will she do? I highly recommend this audio and this series. You don’t want to miss Alexander and Krystina’s story.

I have read a few of Ms. McKinley and I am hooked. The characters are amazing and well written. I loved the way these characters played off each other. Again Ms. McKinley did it again with her description of Italy and the cobble stones. Gianna Bellini is an artist and conservator and lands her dream job in Venice to restore and complete a century-old fresco painting, she packs her bags and hops the first flight to Italy. While walking the cobble stones she felt Deja’vu she has been to this wonderful floating city before. Venetian native Sergio Vitale rescues Gianna from a chilling plunge after a misstep at a canal-side café. She is making great progress on the restoration of the painting but as she works she finds that fresco painting is missing a panel. As these two get closer she turns to Sergio for help. While trying to discover the fresco painting Gianna is having these dreams with haunting whispers where century-old Venetians have met their end. Can Gianna and Sergio discover where the missing panel? Can Gianna fight her destiny as Sergio fights for a future that includes Gianna in it? This is the 3rd book in the Of Magic and Scales series and what a good read it is. I would recommend reading the first 2 books in this series as it follows on with the same characters and storyline. I love the fantasy aspect and how fantasy mixes with reality. There is also an element of danger and romance that keeps the story interesting and flowing. The characters are really well written and you can feel the emotional journey that Aiden goes on from feelings of betrayal and abandonment from his parents, to fear and helplessness when his loved ones are targeted. You feel all the love, hate and pain every step of the way.
Aiden is happy and settled with his merman mate but there is a dark cloud on the horizon in the shape of the wicked god Baburaj and his mother, Jhanvi. They have made several attempts at destroying Aiden and his family of friends and his lover. Will they succeed this time?
With the added complication of Aiden finding his real parents in the form of a godess mother and a powerful druid as his father, Aiden starts to wonder just how powerful his magic is and why Baburaji and his mother are so determined to destroy him. A timely novel that just makes your heart flutter. The story of Gianna and Sergio. Gianna comes to Venice to restore a mural. She feels the pull of Venice and experiences some deja vu. She feels Giovianni and memories of Sophia. She meets Sergio, her soul mate. Together, they must sort out what is going on and figure out the figure out the mystery of who is trying to get rid of Gianna. You will end up feeling all the emotions. Amy McKinley never fails with her books. A winner right here!

Sizzling hot short stories. Great for the book lover who has a bit of time to listen to one story and then get stuff done. Great before bed if you get caught up reading through the night. The stories range from vampires, to babysitters, to threesomes, and to virgins. A little bit of sexual exploration for everyone’s interest. Some of these stories I would actually love to read the entire book. Leaves you wanting more. Enjoy.

Overall, the story was a decent, quick read though I did have a heard time getting involved in this story. I would have liked to see more depth of the characters though I do understand that since it was short that is not always easy to do. The base of it is enjoyable and I really liked the character connections between Fiona, Connor and Lach. I would read more from this author and would like to see other types of books from her.

Jumping into this story, I knew I would be in for a wild ride. What really pulled me wanting to reading this story all starts with Sophie. Sophie had been injured, losing a leg below the knee and is a wheel chair. She’s being hunted by her best friend’s ex boyfriend and her saving grace is a biker gang called the Satan’s Devil. My favourite thing about Sophie is she isn’t just the girl next door. She’s got a mouth and isn’t afraid to use it. She struggles with her trauma and tries to overcome it and grow from it too. The helping hand comes from the most unlikely of places, from Wraith. Meeting Wraith, the VP in the gang, he is the walking-talking epitome of a VP biker gang member. His inner thoughts are laughable but when I wasn’t in his head, it felt like I was reading a totally different character. This story felt like a movie, as it is fast pace and full of action, and if your into biker gangs than this would grab your interest.

This story was laid out nicely. The strong memory that Cade had of Nadia was well thought. I also liked the personal reasons that guided them together. The connection from their past encounter and their present was clever. I didn’t get a strong sense of suspense as I’ve seen in other reviews but the story was carefully thought through. I appreciated the shorter story because I feel that the length may have drawn it out and impacted the feel of the story.
