Spiteful Punks: dolls and douchebags part one by Madeline Fay – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Spiteful Punks: dolls and douchebags part oneSpiteful Punks: dolls and douchebags part one by Madeline Fay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a dark story that I loved. This is a story that could cause triggers for some but if you can get past that, this is a really great story. This is a well developed story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me engaged. It is a page turner that I had a hard time putting down. The characters are relatable and made the story feel realistic. The MC has had nothing but pain in his life and he has tried to run from it. Now there is a chance that his life could change. I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to the story. What happens when life hands you lemons? I highly recommend this book, it is worth the pick up hands down.

Peaceful Slumber (Soul Connection, #1)Peaceful Slumber by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Peaceful Slumber by Nikki Lynn Barrett a fantastic five-star read. This is number one in the Soul Connection series and well I am so eager for the rest, I have read this author previously but not this genre and well it is done so well. This has it all, its very easy to read, and the multiple POV keeps the story fresh, and keeps you hooked and reading. The whole story will enrapture you, and keep you guessing all the way through. Scott and Zelda will just keep you hooked as you meet them and get to know them both remembering with Zelda. This is a great story, and I can’t wait for more.

Shift Happens (New Orleans Nocturnes Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Sabrina St Jacques

I listened to this book and from the get go i was chuckling. It was a good read. I would recommend this one if you like shifters and witches.

This is my first book from this author and i will be looking into her others.

She has a way of making humour come out evenly throughout the book without it going over board. The story kept you interested. A good hook to see to the end.

Even though i haven’t read much in the way of shifter’s with witches it was interesting mix for green eyes.

Electric Temptation (The Protectors Series Book 5) by Toya Richardson – Review by Sara Oxton

Electric Temptation (The Protectors Series Book 5)Electric Temptation by Toya Richardson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Electric Temptation by Toya Richardson a thrilling four-star read. This is number five in the Protectors series, and its best to read them in order as they do read best that way. Delilah and Mason will leave you breathless, they have a second chance, but will they get chance to get it. This has magical chemistry and just a great magic overall. Take a journey with Delilah and you won’t be disappointed. I really enjoyed how the story pulled together, I gave it four-stars as it seemed to jump a couple of times, and that detracted from the story. I am sure that it will not bother many, but it did me. I will say this series is just keeps its strength up all the way.

4 pout of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by these authors and I enjoyed the read. This book is a gripping interracial love story between a straight-edge lawyer and the criminal who loves her. An addictive combination of dark romance, crime fiction, and suspense. The characters are amazingly written with strong personalities and quirks.

I enjoyed this read and I recommend this story

Scorching Hot Mess by Brooke May – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Scorching Hot MessScorching Hot Mess by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Scorching Hot Mess was without a doubt one of the funniest stories I have read in a long time. Brooke May just captured the very essence of a thrilling and captivating read. I was enamoured by Willow and Gun. She was absolutely hilarious and her match was meat with Gun. The charismatic and enigmatic personalities were impossible to ignore, and was totally invested in them pursuing their happily ever after. Excitement was always at the turn of the page. Drama was never far behind. All that a reader could ever want at the tips of all page turning fingers. Willow and Gun were a couple that were meant to be. And the thrills and spills along the way just made their story that much more entertaining. Alcohol and raging hormones are never a good combination, but the level of passion and compatibility was electric. 4 stars

Forged by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops, book 3) by Amy McKinley – Review by Stephanie Chapman

Forged by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops Book 3)Forged by Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amy McKinley just amazes me with how well she integrates every book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. Forged by Secrets is the third book and involves a plot crossing continents and espionage. Gabriela was a grief-stricken teen that had fled Venezuela after her parents and fiancé died. After changing her name to Malina, she does her best to not allow anyone to get emotionally close. Tyler Hale insisted on breaking through her coldness, and she ended up in a hotel room in Vegas. When she woke, she ran from committing to a relationship. Several weeks later Malina arrives at work only to be intercepted by her coworker, Anna. Upon Anna’s advice and seeing international agents at her work station, Malina runs. Uncertain of where to go, she remembers that Tyler had a house on a family-owned island. Tyler was still not back from a mission in Venezuela, but Malina decided to gamble on hiding in hopes that he would return.

I liked the way McKinley kept the intensity of Malina’s emotions realistic. If I was running and facing the obstacles that she encountered, I would be just as nervous. I know the Navy SEAL retains the appearance of being calm, and Tyler’s demeanor matched this. McKinley added the emotional distress he was concealing, and I wondered if the poor guy was going to end up with an ulcer at the end. The end of the book is open-ended just like the prequels, and I am hoping to continue reading any future sequels. I am confidently rating this a solid 5 stars.

Twisted Throttle (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jenni Bishop

Twisted Throttle (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #3)Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Twisted Throttle: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3 by Manda Mellett is where the kids of the original MC members have grown up and taken over roles in the club. This thrilling ride is action packed and full of suspense, with danger and twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. But what I love is the humour and brotherhood, the love and family that Manda gives us amongst the crazy and the intrigue. I am always so engrossed with Manda’s tales that they are over long before I am ready. I love that we got to see what is happening in the lives of old friends in this series.

Throttle is entranced by this knock out of a woman. But one night brings him into a game of cat and mouse of a deadly nature.

Kissing The Kavalier by Annette Nauraine was a really good read! I was instantly enraptured with the characters and storyline, and once I started reading this novel I didn’t want to put it down. For a historical romance, it was very interesting in the fact that you have the female main character dressing as a male. Since that was very taboo during that time period, it was very interesting to read about. I was shocked at the steam this novel produced! It was the perfect amount that left you wanting more. I was on the edge of my seat with most of this novel as well. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

Will Damian be able to get Bryanna to safety and keep her safe? I was on the edge of my seat through a lot of this book. If you want to find out what happens between these two characters then this is a must read. This author will bring you into a story that will keep you captivated and entertained. The Executive’s Decision (The Keller Family Series Book 1) by Bernadette Marie – Review by Rosanna Ingram

The Executive's Decision (Keller Family, #1)The Executive’s Decision by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Zachary is a very successful businessman who is used to getting what he wants. So, when he sets his eyes on Regan, he won’t back down. It is definitely not going to be like a normal boardroom deal. Is he up for the challenge?
Regan has a past that is keeping her from trusting any man. The man she loved committed a horrible crime against her, so she is wary when Zach starts making his move. Can she open herself up again or will she let her past determine her future?
I think the thing I loved most about this book was watching Regan grow. She went through such a traumatic experience that could have beat her down forever. Watching her grow into her new confidence was great to read. This is a series I will definitely continue reading.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love Between the Lines by A.D. Brazeau is a book from The Page Turners Series. This is a delightful, chicklit, romance story featuring Marlowe Bennet. She is very relatable wanting to just live her life as a writer. The issue is she writes romance and has none in her life. Heath Rochester is a former model and now running his family’s bookstore and he has his sights on Marlowe. Will they or won’t they? You have to read this fun book to get the answer. I really enjoyed the characters and lightness of the story. I really needed a little romantic pick me up and this fit the bill. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

Love Between the Lines is a fantastic lighthearted romance. A.D. Brazeau keeps it light and funny with interactions between Marlowe, Iris, and Lucy, but she also kept this reader on the edge of her seat with the romantic reactions between Marlowe and Heath. This is my first read from this author but i can promise it wont be my last. Love Between the Lines has everything that a girl could ask for in a romance novel, including a trio of tight- knit girlfriends, a couple of perfect guys, beautifully described scenery, and even a couple of plot twists. If you want a funny, sweet, and romantic novel then I highly recommend Love Between the Lines.

Electric Temptation by Toya Richardson is the fifth book in the Protectors series. This is a great paranormal romance series that has a little bit of everything you could want. This book is a second chance romance to that for me very much had a will they/won’t they feel to it. I couldn’t wait to see how Delilah and Mason would work things out while also evading the danger around them. I found this book to be action packed and quite quick paced. The story kept moving at all times and it really kept the whole plot line engaging. This has been an exciting series so far and I think this is a brilliant addition to the series. I am looking forward to whatever comes next from this author.

Another excellent book! This can be read as a stand alone but, I would HIGHLY recommend the full series, and any book from this author really. Here we meet Throttle and Gwen, I love them together. The issue of the stalker, the fact that Gwen is his sisters childhood friend, Throttle is her childhood crush, Gwen working at the club’s restaurant, so many things all converge to bring these two together. This book is filled with drama, action, danger, romance and some unexpected twists and turns along the way. This books had me completely engaged and I am always amazed at how this author can write with so much detail and create so many different scenarios for the MC. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I really liked the idea of this story. The model and the writer. The writing flowed nicely and the characters held my interest. The story is relatively low key. My major issue is the friends drama really overpowered the main story. It’s was too much information about them and their predicaments. The girls night would have been good with just touches of Iris and Lucy and keeping the focus on Marlow and Heath. I did enjoy the character of Iris very much. She added some fun to the story.

This author as really got me, I am hooked on this series. The detail, the storyline, the characters are all so fantastic and really grab me and suck me into the story. This is the 3rd book in the series and I really can’t decide which I like best at this point. I already knew this book was going to be good when we see that Tyler and Malina both work together, and she is trying to keep her crush under wraps. That kind of thing can never stay hidden. I enjoyed watching Tyler fight to get Malina’s name cleared, keep her safe and trying to make her his. All of the secrets, drama, action and romance had me flipping these pages with a quickness. While this started off a little confusing for me (Timeframe). It actually got better as the book went on. I enjoyed getting to know Malina (whose name I love) and even Tyler. The best thing about Tyler is his mindset about Malina. He is fun and flirty and definitely possessive of her. I also enjoyed hanging out with his brothers and their women. One of my fav scenes with them is the Top Gun scene. Just made me smile and smile!

Overall this might be my favorite of the series. And that cover? It add to the delight!

Wow! Loved this book, the story was short and sweet. I wish I could see more of this couple, and what the future held for them, but by the ending I’m thinking it would be nothing but love and beauty. I was really hurting with Emmy when there were a couple of misunderstandings with Stone and other ladies, and he gets upset by them but I understand her, he is a man whore and she is reluctant to trust him to be with one woman. It is so sweet to see him do a complete turn around when faced with raising a baby, it melted my heart and made me happy to see him want a forever kind of love finally after al the years of playing around. Even though the story was short, all of the info that needed to be there was there and I enjoyed meeting all the characters. I look forward to what is next from this author.

I absolutely adore this author; her books never fail to entertain me and I have read quite a few if not all of them. All of the storylines are different and so to are the characters, a true testament to her as an author when you can write so many books and they are always different! Twisted Throttle was such an amazing read from beginning to end. I love the crossover with the other series and seeing new generation if characters coming through. I loved Peg so to read Noah (Throttle’s) story was great. Gwen was a brilliant character to read about and the sparks definitely flew between her and Throttle! She loves her 2 cats, her friends, writing her books and not dealing with anything else. She has a very bad case of anxiety. Love Between the Lines by A.Z. Brazeau earns 4 out of 5 stars for me. This was a highly enjoyable, quick read that centers around the burgeoning relationship between protagonist Marlowe Bennet and a book cover model named Heath Rochester. Marlowe is a writer who loves her cats. Heath is a successful model who returns home to take over running his family’s bookstore. The pair, who already have a little bit of history, spark a relationship that is full of enough drama and tension to keep the pages turning. Not only is this story a charming, funny contemporary romance, it also addresses the struggles of mental health maintenance. Marlowe lives with anxiety and attends therapy where she learns realistically helpful strategies. I appreciate every aspect of this story and am glad it is only the first in this series.

This is the third book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. This is the first one that I have read and I need to definitely go back and read the others. It is filled with desire, danger and intrigue. The author manages to pull you in until you are engrossed in the story. I was wrapped in Bryanna’s plight, wondering where she would end up. She is young and innocent. A virgin tricked yet determined to save her family. Damian is an elite bodyguard hired to retrieve and protect her. This job turned out to be anything but routine. He expected to find someone sweet and found instead an incredibly sexy submissive that calls to his dominant nature. The job became personal when the need to claim and protect her took over. The chemistry between the two will set your book on fire. You’ll definitely enjoy getting burned.
