Reign (The Larussio Legacy Book 3) by Via Mari – Review by Michelle Austin

Reign The Larussio LegacyReign The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reign The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari (Goodreads Author) was a thrilling 5 star read.
We continue with this edge of your seat series and I couldn’t stop until I was done.

Giovanni and Serena pull you right into their story. Serena is struggling with putting her family in danger by being with Gio. Because of some of her choices Gio and his team struggle to keep her safe. After a dangerous twist she finally gets it and realizes her place is with Gio.

Can Gio keep Serena and her family safe? Will her nonna ever accept her love for Gio?

Overall this was a great read. There are several twists and turns. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I did however have some frustration with Serena and some of her early decisions, but she finally got it. We get steamy moments, action, suspense and so much more. If you’re looking for a great series that pulls you right in I highly suggest this one. 1-click and get started today.

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Shannon Fowler

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books #1-4)Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sugar and Spice is book 1 in this new adventure by author Phoebe Alexander. It is a fun story. Original and different. Our main characters are the Sweet family, specifically Cy Sweet and their workers from Sweetopia, specifically Jolie, the Red Velvet Queen. Sugar and Spice is a little different than the stories Alexander usually writes. It’s a little “sweeter”. The sex is still spicy but the actual story is sweet. However, once Cy and Jolie get to the hot tub things just might change and lead to a steamer second story!

Moving on to book 2 which is called Virtue & Vice. Adult-only theme park? Yes please! BDSM, swingers and danger oh my! And the sexy time in each story just gets hotter and hotter. Cy and Jolie are sure mixing things up!

Fire & Ice is book 3 and is another fun and sexy story in the series of an adult amusement park! I can’t get enough of this series. Book 3 starts hot and heavy from the first page! The characters from this book are fun, ambitious, sexy and entertaining. These characters learn they need to shape up or their lives won’t be a happily ever after tale.

Is Book 4 the end? Naughty and Nice is the last story in the Spicetopia boxed set. This story takes us on another ride into fantasy land! Alexander has created an adult world…well actually an adult playground that helps the reader escape real life problems. A dream land!

“No judgment. Everyone’s into different things, and it’s all good. I’ve never been in a place where I felt freer to be myself.”

There should be so many places where people can say this in the real world.
We follow many of the characters from Book one throughout the series. Each book looking at one couple more than the others.

This series is NOT for readers under 18, readers with closed minds. As Enya said “I didn’t think it was the thing for me. Not that I blamed anyone else for enjoying it…”

A boxed set for the no judgment reader!

She’s No Cowgirl (My Cowboy Series Book 5) by Brooke May – Review by Erica Fish

She's No CowgirlShe’s No Cowgirl by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is a sports romance story. The characters are fully developed and enjoyable. The storyline is engaging. This story has romance, sports, drama, and of course some shady nonsense going on. Kennedy shows that she is a strong female who can prove that she can do anything a man can do. Hunter is out to show that there is more to being a rancher than people think. Will Kennedy and Hunter come together at some point? Can each one prove to the other their idea of what their roles are? I love watching the relationships grow. I can see myself in this story. I hope you enjoy this story and I cannot wait to read another book by Brooke May.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I generally like sports romances so figured I would enjoy this book. But I was unprepared for Grant and Emily – love them!!! Anders does a beautiful job with this story that felt much bigger than the few pages it was packed into. A great story with great characters. I love when I invest and find myself laughing out loud, which most certainly happened several times while reading. A great book and one I will gladly recommend.

Alexander leaves readers waiting for the next attraction around the adult theme park and it’s cast of characters. Each of these books stands well on its own. This series is not for young readers and absolutely holds true to the synopsis given. I’m fairly certain if an adult theme park exists somewhere, it looks very similar to what is outlined here. Alexander does a beautiful job with her character development which adds a beautiful layer to the stories that unfold.

Grosse Pointe by Natalie Barnes is a brilliant historical fiction novel that will transport you right to the time in which it is set. This book has been so well written you can vividly picture exactly what the author is describing and the characters. I loved Brek and his whole demeanour. He felt so unpolished which is exactly what I would want from his type of character. He for the time and the genre perfectly.
This is the first book that I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last. Well written and interesting this is a book I would definitely recommend!

This was a quick little book that I really enjoyed. I like that there were some things that surprised me and then even still went a different direction than I expected. I am not much of a football fan and was still able to keep up with the lingo. The characters in this were very well written and surprising to say the least, Tarrah did a great job building this book not only with the main characters but the background people also. I wonder if there is going to be more in a standard novel with some of the shenanigans that were presented in this quaint little story.

Tidal LoveTidal Love by K.M. Lowe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tidal Love was a really lovely read by K.M. Lowe, I really enjoyed it. I was engaged in the story straight away and I think I most definitely fell in love with the characters Harleigh and Giovani as soon as I started reading about them. After everything that Harleigh had been through I desperately wanted her to find someone who would treat her right and I just knew the moment she met Giovani that he might just be that person for her. I was rooting for them the whole way through.
Alongside the lovely romance story is the wonderful descriptive language the author uses to describe the setting for the story, I really felt like I could imagine what I was reading.
Overall a really lovely story and one that I would highly recommend.

She’s No Cowgirl (My Cowboy Series Book 5) by Brooke May – Review by Liz Vrchota

She's No CowgirlShe’s No Cowgirl by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sports romances are a must read usually for me, throw in Brooke May as the author and I am there. I loved She’s No Cowgirl, the fifth book in the My Cowboy Series. Kennedy is a kick butt and take names lead female character. She does her best to fit in in a man’s world and truly wants to play football with the best of them. Unfortunately, or fortunate depending on how you look at it, she doesn’t find her niche quite like she does with writing sports. This brings Hunter into her life and these two are fabulous. I loved the push pull and the way things read so realistically. I felt as if I should be their own cheerleading section at times and found myself giggling at several points. Overall this was a nice escape read for a rainy Sunday afternoon when I needed a little light and happiness in my life. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from Brooke May!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tarrah Anders is one of my go to and fav romance authors. She always has a knack for drawing me in on that very first page until the end when I can barely stand to finish because I don’t want it to end. Rookie Moves is A Quick Snap Novella and reads fairly quickly. While it is a fast paced read the characters involved have quite the slow burn romance that is delectable. I loved Grant and Emily so much, these two compliment each other so well it is hard to not fall in love with them and cheer them on the whole time. We find Grant the rookie football player with a not so good reputation and Emily the good girl and mayor’s daughter. While Emily is supposed to help clean up his image we discover she also has a bit of a rambunctious side and the two seem to have a way of getting into it together. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from Tarrah Anders!

I just knew I had to read Tidal Love the moment I saw the gorgeous cover! I desperately needed to escape through a book and this one did just that. It swept me away with the love and the emotional roller coaster this takes the reader on. Tidal Love is a contemporary romance, and really it is one of those books you just get completely lost in and forget the world around you.
Harleigh has not had it easy and is just now getting her life resettled after leaving an abusive and toxic ex. Her family sends her on a dream vacation and she ends up meeting her dream man, Giovanni. These two will sweep you away with their stories and emotions that they encounter. I loved the way things unfolded and the way the author kept things realistic. I will definitely be looking for more works by KM Lowe because the bonus of reading this book was she is a new author to me and I now get to discover her other works!

Faerie’s Magic (Seasons of the Fae book 2) by Jessica Feyden – Review by Angela Hayes

Faerie's Magic (Seasons of the Fae Book 1)Faerie’s Magic by Jessica Feyden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Faerie’s Magic is the first book in the Season’s of the Fae by Jessica Feyden. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Feyden, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect from one of her books. But the beautiful cover captured my attention, and the intriguing blurb sealed the deal. A one-click later and I was diving in, ready to set off on this wonderful adventure.
Mira, the princess of the Summer Court, has no idea that her ‘normal’ day of hunting in the forest would end up in a battle between the Fae and the Norn (shifter/witches) where she gets up close and personal with one of the enemy, and her hunting skills come to the fore. She also discovers her powers have been bound. But also, unknowingly, finds her fated mate. There is so much more to this story, but I really don’t want to spoil it for you by giving away too much.
So, if you love fantasy, paranormal romance, magic, shifters, witches, adventure, action, danger, hidden agendas, fated mates, drama, angst, and superb world building- then you really won’t want to miss this book/series.
Ready for Book #2.

Thank you, Jessica Feyden!

Love On The Ropes (Love In Action Book 1) by Aviva Vaughn – Review by Nicole Noble

Love On The Ropes (Love in Action, #1)Love On The Ropes by Aviva Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s always fun to try out new authors. To stumble onto gems that make reading enjoyable. Love On The Ropes was definitely one of those. The first book in her Love In Action series, this book starts the series off right. So sit back, strap in, and hang on for a great ride.

Both Clint Davenport and Erin Hung are living their dream jobs. But with success comes sacrifice. And for these two career-driven individuals, this means no distractions. So when at a company retreat, Erin saves Clint from a messy situation they both realize that distractions aren’t avoidable. Combining angst, humor, and great chemistry between the two lead characters, the story hits a believable note that leaves you thoroughly entertained. This book isn’t instantaneous love. It’s a slow build that allows the reader to get to know and fall in love with the characters. If you’re looking for a fun, easy read, Ms. Vaughn provides that and more.

This is the first book by this author for me and I look forward to reading her other books. Tidal Love is almost an insta-love type of story, but since the main characters are broken and lost they don’t see it right away.
I like how Tidal Love was written. There is a story behind each character…they just weren’t born super wealthy, having everything handed to them or even an easy life. They all had to work for their current chapter in their lives. This story gives hope to readers that even after tragic events life can go on, happiness can be found.

Tarrah Anders’ book was quick and easy to read, I finished it in a day! If you are looking for a quick romance, this is it, you also do not have to read the rest of the series to delve into this book.
While this book initially followed the classic bad boy and good girl romance, Tarrah Anders surprisingly put her own spin on the genre through the character of Emily. Seeing the relationship between Grant and Emily develop and change their own perspectives was great to read.
However, I would have loved for there to be more development in the character background and family aspects. The originality of Tarrah Anders’ story would leave you wanting more.

Brooke May’s book was a great contemporary romance which was an easy, quick read. The dual perspectives from both love interest, Kennedy and Hunter were amazing in developing the characters, from their feeling for each other to their love of football. While this book was football orientated due to Hunter playing football in college and Kennedy being a sports reporter, this book could be enjoyed by everyone.
I loved that Brooke May did not shy away from serious topics such as career pressure and Kennedy experiencing sexism in her work and due to her love of sports.
Additionally, Brooke May highlights an important message throughout the book about following your dreams and never giving up despite all obstacles.

5 stars!
I love romance stories centering around sports, and this one was even better because the female lead is a tough and independent woman, trying to succeed in fields where men usually dominate. At first I didn’t know what to expect with the first few chapters, it seemed like Kennedy was going to go on to play football, but because of men dominating the scene she was cast aside. So she does something else she is passionate about which is sports journalism. When the two meet and end up together, I love it, I love everything about their relationship and how Hunter loves Kennedy that much more because of the fact that she is not your average girl. I had a feeling something was about to go down since Kennedy is writing for the paper and here comes the sleazy Jonathan. I liked how he tried to turn it all back around on Kennedy in front of others, made me hate him so much more. I highly recommend this book, it has drama, romance and sports. Perfect read for me.

Love On The Ropes (Love in Action, #1)Love On The Ropes by Aviva Vaughn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love On The Ropes is the first book in the Love In Action series by Aviva Vaughn. I’ve read a few books by this author before and have thoroughly enjoyed them so I had high hopes for this one. Thankfully, this is a great book and I thoroughly enjoyed this one too.
28 year old Erin Hung moved to LA from Hawaii 4 years previously and is loving her job doing marketing for a major radio station’s breakfast show. Her life changes when the show gets a new host. Clint Davenport is a former Topgun pilot and is now the host of the show. On an activity week organised by the radio station the two are pushed close together and both realise that there could be something between them.
I totally loved both of these characters. Erin has no fears when it comes to the activities but has many when it comes to her heart and her personal life. Clint comes across as the perfect man with no fears but actually has a lot going on that he keeps to himself.
The story is very easy to read and flows well, it has great characters and the plot is good which keeps the reader engaged and want to keep reading to see what that author has planned for Clint and Erin.
Definitely recommend.

This story was really sweet. Kara and Julian have a beautiful story that makes you feel warm inside. I really liked the innocence the story presented. It’s like an old school love. Where it’s not forced or too fast. Everything just flows together into a beautiful harmony. Julian’s character was interesting. He didn’t give you jerk vibes or too good to be true vibes either. I found him to be a nice mixture or both. Kara was a little too straight lace for me. Like be wild and free for a change. Life is about living and learning. Trying something different. Messing up and learning to fix it so you never do it again. I really like this author and I will definitely be taking a look at more books by her. It just made me feel good inside while I read it.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reign is the third book in The Larussio Legacy series by Via Mari. I have read each book in this series and this one did not disappoint. Giovanni Larussio and his love interest Serena Moretti, are beginning to see what their life will be like when Giovanni becomes the new don of Italy. Rivals of the family will target anything or anyone that is important to Giovanni. Serena is trying to figure out if the jeopardy of her family will be worth being with him. I have loved reading Giovanni and Serena’s relationship evolve over the novels. This story in particular they are sure they want to be with each other, Giovanni thinks she is the love of her life, but they are trying to figure out if the risk is worth the reward. The mafia lifestyle is an intense world and I give Giovanni a lot of credit for trying to balance his family’s history and his own interests.

I really like Emily, she is prim and proper when she needs to be, and comes out that way to everyone but really she is reckless and adventurous and had me nervous a couple of times afraid she was going to get Grant in trouble since he is always in the spotlight. Grant is a good guy, at first he was obnoxious, going out drinking all the time and getting caught up in multiple scandals, but I love that once he meets Emily he wants to change his ways and become a one woman man as well as a better person. Their relationship is sweet, and Emily’s dad sounds like a real jerk for what he did to them behind their backs, but it all worked out either way. I loved the epilogue and can’t wait to look into more books by this author.
