IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irresistible – Fall into Romance (Irresistible Romance Book 5) is an amazing anthology that brings together some very talented authors. Most of them have been joining forces in other different anthologies so the only one I had not met before was Angela Stevens. It is always great getting a chance to meet someone new and that is one of the reasons why I love Anthologies. There are so many writers I have discovered through them!

The fearless eight of this anthology are my absolute favorite Tamara Ferguson (I think I have read everything she has written) and ten Natalie Ann, Suzanne Jenkins, Cynthia Cooke, Alicia Street, Jen Talty, Patrice Wilton and the newbie (for me) Angela Stevens. They have put together a collection that keeps the heart beating on the true love … You start reading the story and close your eyes and it start playing in front of your eyes like a movie, like a Hallmark move …

I will share my thoughts about my favorite one which was Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts’ Truce. It is another instalment in her Two Hearts Wounded Warriors Romance series and that fits perfectly into her Crystal Rock Universe. It brings together, again, after so many years, Jeff and Amanda and hopefully now they are ready … Their story fits also into the craziness of what we have read in her other stories in the series AND we meet some of them again. I love it, it feels like visiting home and meeting up with people you have not seen or heard of for a while.

I have always loved the care that Tamara takes when telling the heart breaking stories of her heroes and heroines … there is this feeling deep inside when I pick up her book, the anticipation … the apprehension … the hope …

IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5) Anthology – Review by Jennifer Gordon

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Having read previous Anthologies in the ‘Irresistible Romance’ series I was looking forward to reading this latest edition, ‘Fall Into Romance’ and I was not disappointed. This is another great anthology containing eight full standalone stories by eight fantastic authors, some of which I was already a fan of like Tamara Ferguson and others I am happy to have now discovered. My favourite was the first story in the book by a favourite author of mine, Tamara Ferguson called, ‘TWO HEARTS’ TRUCE’. When Air Force Sergeant Jeff Frisco reappears in Amanda Northrup’s life after six years apart he is determined to win her back. However Amanda has devastating secrets which are preventing her from moving on and she does not know if she can trust Jeff despite having put her life on hold for the past six years and been lonely and missing him. As usual I fell in love with Ferguson’s main characters, as Amanda and Jeff were both likeable and relatable and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their happy ending together. A great storyline and plenty of drama in the plot had me hooked from start to finish. Another wonderfully written heartwarming romance by Ferguson and a great start to the anthology.
‘FALLING INTO LOVE’, introduced Ryan Butler who did not have love on his radar and Shannon Wilder who had once been in love and sadly lost her husband. Having moved to Paradise Place with her children to runaway from a stalker she unexpectedly finds love again, is it with Ryan? No Spoilers! ‘BAYOU COTTAGE’ by Suzanne Jenkins, is a second chance at love romance. Maggie Angel’s runs away to Bayou Cottage in the swamp at Cypress Cove following having her heart broken and meets childhood friend and now local vet and wild horse advocate Justin Chastain. I loved these two characters and their journey to romance as for Justin the chemistry was instant but for Maggie who is recovering from a failed marriage she’s a little less keen to admit her feelings for Justin. A good storyline and great characters made this an enjoyable read in the anthology.
‘THE LIES BETWEEN US’ by Cynthia Cooke, had drama, suspense and of course romance when heroine Cat has to save her undercover FBI Agent husband Tom from a drug lord. This was a gripping read and I literally read it all in one sitting as I needed to know how it would end. Alicia Street’s ‘IGNITE MY HEART’ was a heartwarming story about a Nanny, Blake who is unable to have children of her own but falls in love with both her charge, an adorable little girl and her Daddy Morgan.
In ‘WHISKEY SOUR’ by Jen Talty, Boone Wilder realises that if he wants to get the woman that he loves, Paget Sour, then he will have to make a few changes of his own. Boone also realises that he will have come clean about a very big lie. However Paget is more worried about looking after her ill father and paying the bills than going on a date with the bartender at her local, even if he does make a great whiskey sour. ‘CUT AND RUN’ by Angela Stevens, was another story that had me gripped from start to finish as along with the romance the plot had plenty of drama and suspense. Molly Sullivan is forced to accept sexy but cocky Jake Massey’s help when her brothers dishonesty means she had to escape from a gang leader who is now after her. This had a hard to love hero and a feisty heroine and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed whilst they were in danger.
The last story in this enjoyable anthology is, ‘REPLACING BARNIE’ by Patrice Wilton. Career driven divorce attorney Lydia O’Reilley, discovers that her one night stand is actually her new clients soon to be ex husband. Unfortunately her one night with a handsome stranger, Jed, has also led to a unexpected pregnancy. I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology, it literally took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading all the completely different stories but which all had romance at the heart of their storylines. I look forward to the next anthology in the ‘Irresistible Romance’ series.

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Irresistible – Fall Into Romance anthology is the fifth book in the Irresistible Romance series. This is another great collection of romance stories by various authors who are all brilliant in their own right. As with the other box sets in this series each of these books are different from the other so there is no trouble with telling them all apart and really getting invested in each of the stories.
This anthology has a great mix of everything you could want out of romantic stories – great characters, entertaining story and a lot of sweetness and love. I have definitely enjoyed each and everyone of these books and can definitely say you will be able to find something you like. For me this is a great way to introduce yourself to these authors if you haven’t read any of them before and I would suggest getting this box set immediately.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. This is an engaging, fast paced story about Mira and Cadoc. Their relationship has had many struggles they must overcome. The question remains, will they be able to overcome the struggles life is throwing at them? I enjoyed their characters. They are well developed and made the story easy to read. They brought their world to life and their struggles felt real. This made a great afternoon read. I highly recommend this book

Reign The Larussio LegacyReign The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars!
This is the 3rd book in the series, it can be read as a standalone, but take it from me, I read this book first and missed out on a lot of detail and the formation of relationships. I got the gist of it, but I wish I would have read the others first, I will now have to go back and read them since the series is definitely worth it. I love reading romance within the Italian mob style books and this one was awesome. I loved all the drama, action, romance and crazy that this story had to offer. Serena and Giovanni are a great couple, I really enjoyed seeing them interact together. Serena is independent and strong willed and Gio has never had that in a woman, especially in his line of work. Serena will do anything to keep her family and Gio safe, so she assumes the best option is to leave them all to lure the kidnappers to come after her. I love that Gio will stop at nothing to keep her safe and protects her from everything, and how his family also loves her so much as to protect her like one of their own. I thought Serena would annoy me and be more like a needy damsel in distress type, but she is the opposite and her ramblings are just funny to read. I really can’t wait to see what comes next, it looks like there may be a little something going on with Salvatore and a certain nurse? I can only hope!

That Incredible Kiss is the third book in the Kissed By Fate Series by Tamara Ferguson. This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend all of the books by Tamara. I live in northern Wisconsin and I always get a kick out reading her books when she mentions places I know. I have to say I fell in love with this book the moment I started it and it kept me enthralled right until the end. This is definitely my new favorite of Ms. Ferguson’s books.
Ashley and Brian are powerful characters and watching them grow out of tragedy is a wonderful thing. If you love romance, these are the books for you!

Better To Have Loved by Christy Nicholas is a great story that I found to be very emotional. I was drawn into the story from the moment I started reading it and really fell in love with the characters. For me this was made even better knowing than it was based on true people, it just added a different depth to the story.
The author did a brilliant job of letting this story almost tell itself. The journey the characters went through really came through. I felt connected to both them and the story line and really did lose myself in this book entirely. I would highly recommend this book.

5/5 Stars

Dare Game (The Irish Garda Files #1) by Melinda Colt

This is the first book I’ve read by Colt, but it won’t be my last. This is part of The Irish Garda Files, but can be read as a stand alone. This romance is one you need to read.

Amber, newly divorced and now single mom, moves from NYC to Ireland. Working means she doesn’t have a lot of time with her daughter. When her daughter tells her what’s going on Amber knows what to do. The quote I chose for Amber is: “You’re a real hero, John, you know that? No one else was able to figure out this case.”

John, an Irish policeman, is brought back to the time when his wife was shot. He goes through the neighborhood and finds his new fix. He finds himself falling for Amber and her daughter. The quote I chose for John is: “I’m glad you contacted us immediately after Hayley told you about The Game. This piece will help us solve the puzzle. I’m afraid we’ll have to inconvenience you further. I’m not sure yet, but based on what we know, our computer specialist will have to work from here for a few days.”

Highly recommended for romance lovers.

IRRESISTIBLE - FALL INTO ROMANCE (Irresistible Romance Book 5)IRRESISTIBLE – FALL INTO ROMANCE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This Irresistible – Fall Into Romance anthology is a collection of Stories by 8 amazing authors: Tamara Ferguson, Natalie Ann Suzanne Jenkins, Cynthia Cooke, Alicia Street, Jen Talty, Angela Stevens and Patrice Wilton. I love when a new one of these anthologies comes out as I get to read some great authors all wrapped up in one neat package.
One think I love mot about these anthologies is that they usually contain a book by Tamara Ferguson who has become a favourite of mine over the last year or so.
The offering from Tamara Ferguson in this anthology is Two Hearts Truce. I have now read several of the Two Hearts books and I am a huge fan of them. This one was no different as I was hooked from the beginning as it started with a flashback to another Two Hearts couple that I adored in Christine and Jeremy Northrup.
The hero couple in this book are Jeremy’s sister Amanda and his sergeant Jeff. I loved reading this second chance romance. Amanda is an amazing character trying to come to terms with a horrific event from her past and is scared of getting into a relationship. Jeff is an amazing guy and the support he gives Amanda is second to none, I just adored him.
This is just one great read in this anthology. We are totally spoiled for choice in getting 8 great reads to occupy the autumn evenings.

By Stephanie Queen
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the three stories in this collection. They are stories that are romantic and enjoyable to read. They pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself hooked. You are entering the world of the Boston Militia football team. I loved reading about the main characters as well as the additional ones as well. I also loved that some of the characters from each book were brought forward to the next one. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth between the characters. There are friendships and camaraderie as well. There are romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. Also, chemistry, attraction, and passion. There are at times stressful and emotional situations that the characters must deal with. My emotions went up and down throughout the stories. The author has a wonderful way of making both the story and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on three stories that you won’t want to put down until you finish the final page of each. I highly recommend reading them.

She’s No Cowgirl (My Cowboy Series Book 5) by Brooke May is a sports romance story. It is an easy read that flowed well from start to end. Characters are quickly developed and likeable, believable and you get invested in their lives. This book has a bit of everything in it, from the drama and secrets, to love and frustration, of hope and wonder. It is a tale of young love, of two people brought together for the love of their sports and finding their own way. I enjoy Brooke’s writing and I have yet to read a book I have not liked from her.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read 1 of these amazing stories, but I will be going back to read the rest over the next couple of weeks to add more to my thoughts here.
I read Tamara Ferguson’s book and like all her other stories I was hooked to see what would transpire in this one.
Amanda and Jeff dated years ago and after something happened, things shifted and they split. Now they’re back in the same town and feelings are high. Can they make a go of it this time, or will Amanda’s past be the barrier keeping them moving forward? Or even Jeff’s job?
I really enjoyed these two and they had such a great story, very believable and relatable and I love that.

Another romance in Crystal Rock, there is something magical there and I hope the magic doesn’t end any time soon.

Ashley and Brian have known each since they were kids and just when things start moving forward something happens to tear them apart for several years. Thankfully that is just the beginning of their second chapter.

There is so much that happens that is tied to the past for both Crystal Rock and Ashley and Brian and it wasn’t anywhere close to where my mind took me.

This is a great series, not over the top with the romance or the suspense. Can’t wait to who falls next.

Finding His Zen by Tammy Mannersly

This is the second book I’ve read by Tammy and I love it! She has a way of bringing the characters to life. She is an amazing author.

Zenia, Zen as everyone calls her, is excited that she is going to meet her favorite idol. She had his poster on her wall when she was 16. The quote I chose for Zen is: “If I’d known that this was the way I’d meet the swim star I’d admired since I was a teenager, I would’ve worn some perfume or at least a little more makeup. I never expected it to be this intimate.”

Sebastian, aka Seb, is a known Olympic Swimmer. He’s going back to his hometown after being away for years. This is the place where he learned to swim. The quote I chose for Seb is: “I’m serious, Zenia. I’m not throwing out empty compliments to win you over, I swear. I really mean it. I see how you talk to people, even with your family, your sister. It’s within you, this force of support and motivation. Your sweet, genuine nature makes it easier for people to believe when you tell them they can achieve anything, that their dreams are attainable. I saw it yesterday when you were talking to new clients. You honestly want to help them triumph in whatever goals they set for themselves. It’s really admirable and much more selfless than what goes on in my world of glitzy functions and media exploits.”

This is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it for you!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reign is the third book in The Larussio Legacy series from Via Mari. I would personally recommend that you read all the previous books and in order before diving into this one, as this is a continuation well from them. We find Gio and Serena are still struggling with her security and the usual difficulties that accompany the mafia family. I personally enjoy mafia romance novels and this happens to be at the top of my list for favs in the genre. I love the suspense that Via Mari builds and even more the added romance and steam is enough to keep my fanning myself the whole time. Via really does a great job of including sexy scenes but not going to that point of porn or unbelievable stuff which I really enjoy. I am excited to see what we will get in the next installment. I am sure there will be even more intrigue and suspense mixed with the right amount of sass and sexy times.

This was a lovely teenage romance that just goes to show that a summer fling doesn’t have to just be a fling. The characters are well written and engaging and the story is relatable to young people

Kara and Bear are two young people who are both moving forward in their lives. Kara to university and Bear to work with his dad in the family business.

During the summer Bear wants to enjoy his time teaching kids to skateboard and even though Kara would love an adventure with her best friend Toby family commitments means its not possible.

However when they meet their summers seem to be looking up. Is this just a summer fling? Or will their romance last longer than either of them expect it too.

Kickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks

This is a very good book. As the first I’ve read by the author I can say Jacks has a new follower. She knows how to create characters you wish you could join.

Kara, a college student, finds that her summer is going to be boring without her best friend. She decides to join him on his adventure, but she’ll be getting one of her own. The quote I chose for Kara is: “Don’t worry, I won’t get any romantic feelings towards you. I don’t want your head getting any bigger.”

Julian, Bear, is the heir of Blue Oaks Theme Park. He loves skateboarding and wants to make a summer out of it. When Kara shows up it reminds him of what he can’t do. The quote I chose for Bear is: “I’m just messing with you. You’re cute when you’re flustered.”

If you want romance then this is for you. Highly recommended for anyone!

Secure Heart (Chase Security Series Book 3)Secure Heart by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am loving this series!! It is dangerous and sexy…emotional and thrilling…I just can’t get enough.

This is third book of the series and focuses on Julian. Julian has recently become the head of Chase Security’s San Diego branch. He is digging himself out of a past that has beaten him down. Upon arriving in San Diego, he finds out that Chase medical is endangering its patients and putting their lives at risk. One of those lives belongs to a little girl named Sadie. Sadie is suffering from the same condition that took Julian’s wife from him…but he is determined to save her. Her mother, Holly, has her own past demons that force her to keep her walls up. However, when Holly and Julian are together, the chemistry is definitely there. However, more danger lurks around the corner when a serial kidnapper targets women and their children. Julian, and the rest of Chase Security, are trying to find out who is behind everything while keeping everyone safe.

I found myself really invested in both Holly and Julian. Their pasts had me hoping that each of them would find happiness and not be faced with heartbreak again. Holly is a strong character and not quick to let a man take care of her…and I loved that about her. This is another great book in this series and I am looking forward to Zach’s story next!

That Incredible Kiss (Kissed By Fate 3) By Tamara Ferguson – Review by Jennifer Gordon

THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3)THAT INCREDIBLE KISS by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A heartwarming and emotional romance and although book three in Ferguson’s ‘Kissed by Fate’ series it can happily be read as a standalone story. Set in Crystal Rock as our the previous two books in the series and this time it’s Ashley and Brian’s story. Ashley Mitchum & Brian O’Neill grew up together in Crystal Rock, Wisconsin, but until they shared a kiss during the summer after high school the couple had not really gotten on. Brian thought Ashley was spoilt and could be cruel and Ashley thought Brian just interfered in her life. However, following the kiss they both realised that they had been fighting and denying their attraction for one another. Just as the couple decide to commit to each other, tragedy strikes when Ashley’s father is implicated in a Ponzi scheme and then runs away with Brian’s mother. Even more tragically Ashley’s best friends father commits suicide having lost all his money in the scheme. Ten years after circumstances forced the couple apart both Ashley and Brian find themselves back in Crystal Rock. As both their families dark secrets are revealed Ashley and Brian have to decide whether to admit that they both still think about that one ‘Incredible Kiss’, all those years ago.

I love a Tamara Ferguson novel and this one was no different, not only does she write a wonderful romance but each story is so much more than ‘just’ a love story. Each novel has plenty of drama, suspense, wonderful and relatable characters, like Ashley and Brian, and they are all set in a magical places, like Crystal Rock. ‘That Incredible Kiss’, has a great storyline which had me hooked from the start, the narrative flowed well and the plot held plenty of surprises which kept me turning the pages well into the night, wanting to know how it would end. A five star read and a book I definitely recommend along with the previous books in the series.

THAT UNEXPECTED KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 2) By Tamara Ferguson – Review By Jennifer Gordon

That Unexpected Kiss (Kissed By Fate, #)That Unexpected Kiss by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book two in Ferguson’s ‘Kissed by Fate’ series and although set in the same magical place of Crystal Rock and with some characters who cross over this can be read as a standalone story, however having read and enjoyed book one I would recommend reading that as well. A heartwarming romance set in a small town the plot also has plenty of drama, suspense, and mystery as well as dealing with some darker issues such as murder and human trafficking, all of which had me hooked from start to finish. At the heart of the storyline is a second chance at love romance between Dylan and Julie. Fate bought them together in Crystal Rock when FBI Agent Dylan Nash was working undercover as a game warden and met Julie Thompson a special education teacher. The pair have instant chemistry and are mutually attracted to each other but not only is Dylan undercover but Julie is involved with another man and is working in Colorado. Although they become friends whilst Julie is visiting her hometown she is upset when her best friend Kate turns up dating Dylan. They both move on and Julie returns to Colorado but a few years later she is back permanently in Crystal Rock working as a teacher at a new school for children with disabilities, Crystal Visions.

With both Dylan and Julie back in the same place again maybe fate had not finished with them. Dylan finally confesses his feelings for Julie as the couple learn that a series of misunderstandings have kept them apart, including his apparent past relationship with Kate. Claiming Julie with an ‘Unexpected Kiss ’, neither can deny their chemistry. As well as working undercover Dylan is also searching for his fathers killer as he wants justice, also twenty years ago Julie’s mother disappeared and she’s always wanted answers. When clues link her mother’s disappearance with the man who shot Dylan’s father, Dylan has to protect Julie and keep her safe from a vicious predator.

This had a enjoyable storyline with plenty going on in the plot to get involved in and keep me happily turning the pages. I was gripped by the underlying mysteries of Dylan’s fathers murder and Julies mother’s disappearance and this added an extra depth to the story as a whole. The characters are likeable and relatable and due to the authors wonderfully detailed descriptions the setting of Crystal Rock really comes alive and I felt fully immersed in the place whilst reading this novel, great escapism. THAT UNFORGETTABLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 1) By Tamara Ferguson Review By Jennifer Gordon

That Unforgettable Kiss (Kissed By Fate, #1)That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This second chance at love romance, standalone story is wonderfully written and was an enjoyably emotional read. Set in the town of Crystal Rock, Kate Callahan And Michael Murphy first meet when Murphy arrives in the town to work as an intern at Callahan Construction, and Kate was his crew boss. Kate always knew she would one day take over her family’s construction business and so was not particularly interested in meeting a man, until she meets Murphy and sparks fly. Murphy had his life planned out, finish his degree in Architecture, complete his internship in Crystal Rock and then return to Chicago and work for an prestigious firm. He did not expect to fall for a local girl and for them to have instant chemistry. The couple share an ‘Unforgettable Kiss’ whilst they worked closely together to identify the thief who had been stealing construction materials from the company. However they both decide a long distance relationship would not work and so they then go their separate ways. Six years later and Kate is devastated when she hears that Murphy is engaged and so is shocked when he suddenly returns to Crystal Rock and is determined to win her back. Meanwhile there is an ominous secret in the town and Kate needs protecting from an unknown predator.

I loved the main characters, Kate and Murphy and I found them very relatable with the issues they faced and the decisions they had to make. I liked how although they were instantly attracted to one another and had instant chemistry which sizzled off the page, their relationship also developed the more time they spent together, leading up to their unforgettable kiss. The storyline flowed well and the lively narrative made this an easy and enjoyable read. The plot had plenty of romance and drama which had me hooked from page one and I enjoyed the added bit of mystery in the story as well. A great read, and I look forward to the rest of the books in the ‘Kissed by Fate’ series.

Reign (The Larussio Legacy Book 3) by Via Mari – Review by Jessica Leombruno

Reign The Larussio LegacyReign The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reign was another great book in the Larussio Legacy series. This mafia romance will pull you in, take you on a ride with the twists and turns, then leave you loving Gio and Serena even more. The connection between Gio and Serena is powerful and steamy. Via Mari always seems to have me addicted to her characters and her writing that I can’t wait to see what she will write next.
