This was a great festive read. We are back with our favourite vampire couple and their friend Gaston as they overcome some more trouble in their path.
First obstacle comes when Jane runs over Santa. An accident she never expected but the only way to save him is to turn him into a vampire. Can she turn the jolly man into a creature of the night? What would be her punishment if she did? Or more importantly what would happen if she just left him to die?
The second obstacle Ethan and Jane have to face is breaking the news to Janes father that not only are they married but that Jane is now an undead vampire. How will Jane’s father react? Will he accept his daughter as she is now or will he turn his back on her and Ethan.

Love Heels by Lynne Russell is a laid back easy on the brain kind of mystery. The story moves along at a nice little pace. I love the main character P.J. Santini. She is just so real. She knows who she is, and she is happy with it. I love the everyday way that Russell writes. P.J.’s family is what most families are like, but they don’t want anyone to know. I love P.J.s family and friends and the neighborhood she grew up in. The dialogue kept me smiling all through the book. Yes there is mystery, yes there is I intrigue and danger but Russell manages to make it seem like just another day. I can’t help it after reading this book I just felt good all over, you will too.

I loved reading the book Bake Believe by Cori Cooper. It is a story that is fun to read and had me laughing out loud. I loved the characters especially Cat Anderson. She finds out that her family has a secret. What will happen next? Read this book to find out. There are also many other additional characters that I enjoyed reading about how they interact with Cat. They are helpful to her and are wonderful friends. The situations that Cat and her friends find each other in are at times comical and I found myself not wanting to put the book down until the final page. The author has done an amazing job of making both the storyline and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on a story that is exciting and entertaining. I highly recommend reading it.

Santa Got Run Over by a Vampire (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 4) by Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal romantic comedy. It is a delightful short read that is ironic, funny and whimsical and had me laughing out loud. New Orleans Nocturnes series is one of my favourites and Carrie makes everything seem believable. As usual the characters are wonderful, and the humour is to die for. Christmas will never be the same again.

Santa Got Run Over by a Vampire is book 4 in the New Orleans Nocturnes by Carrie Pulkinen. Santa got run over by a Vampire is a short funny read. Jane Devereux always has a funny way to swear as a vampire and always has sassy’s comments. In book 4 Jane kills Santa and has to turn him into a vampire and she needs to teach him what it means to be a vampire. Carrie did an amazing job making me laugh having jane run Santa over and run around trying to make it all work out. I Seriously love Jane and could read about her all day long. If this series is not on your TBR pile once again I recommend it you wont be disappointed. Thank you to Carrie Pulkinen for another great read and look forward to reading more books by you.

Since discovering this series and all the clever titles, I’ve fallen in love with Carrie Pulkinen’s writing style and story telling. She is an amazing writer, truly. I wanted to read this story, since it is apart of the series but I feel like my feelings will be bias unfortunately. I dislike Christmas and since I have such strong feelings about it – I feel as if I couldn’t get completely lost in the story. The reason I still gave this a decently high rate is because the story telling is still brilliant, I love the characters and the cross over as well. If you like Christmas and all the holly, jolly feels it brings, then I recommend this book to you.

Why can’t I give this more than five stars?!?! Lynne Russell has done it again. PJ Santini is a heroine with such sass – can I call her my spirit animal? This series is set in my childhood backyard with family members highlighted that feel like she has interviewed my own family. For me this book and series is amazingly relatable, strong, intriguing, and pure fun. It is magically put together with the perfect balance of whodunit, romantic tension, designer labels, and sarcastic wit. I LOVED this book and LOVE this series and need more now. Please? Pretty please?

Love Heels! Is the third book in the PJ Santini Series and my favorite yet. I’ve absolutely loved this series if you haven’t already read the first two books I highly recommend reading . This is a fast paced story that will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. PJ Santini is back at it again and finds herself going from a divorce case to a murder case. What could possibly go wrong? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t recommend not only this book but the whole series. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

Love Heels!: The TV News Business Can be Murder by Lynne Russell is the third book in the PJ Santini series and was a really entertaining read! This is the first book I’ve read from this author, and apart from just a few instances in the novel I didn’t feel like I missed much at all, not reading the first two books first. This series was entertaining, thrilling in parts, and full of comedy. PJ’s grandmother had me laughing out loud throughout the whole thing! She was absolutely hilarious. I loved the crazy Italian family, it made the story even better in my opinion. The storyline was fascinating and I really enjoyed the characters. I can’t wait to read more of this series in the future!

I loved that this book had us traveling back and forth in time. From the times of Prohibition to 2020, we’re thrown into a murder mystery that’s unlike any other. I love that the author’s personal settings happen to be thrown into these stories as well. Logan is also balancing a private life with her professional life which we know can be tough for her. This book is multilayered in numerous ways but the author definitely gets the reader to think about a lot while indulging in a murder mystery. These kinds of stories do wonders for my memory and for a new way of thinking.

Bake Believe is a pretty cool book which reminded me of this Netflix show “Just Add Magic”. This is a book on similar lines where the main character gets a family gift she never imagined. The gift is that whatever emotion she feels as she bakes is infused in her creation. This adds more fire to her already raging teenage problems and leads to comic consequences. I loved this book, it has a dash of magic, humor and innocent school day romance. To top it all, the detailed recipes are a huge bonus. My son is into baking and the recipes in the book are quite elaborate for him to try out. I absolutely adored this book!

When I saw that the third book in this series was available I grabbed it straight away – I really enjoyed the first 2 books so I couldn’t wait to get started and I wasn’t disappointed! I love PJ Santini, such a great character to read about. There so much in this book it is definitely an all-rounder that can be enjoyed by many. I love the interaction between PJ and all of the characters, she definitely makes this series! I definitely love reading about her. I feel as a reader I’m there solving mysteries with her. The author has a really great engaging writing style and she has definitely held my interest across three books! A great book and series and I would definitely recommend them to other readers!

This is the 3rd book in the PJ Santini series. I haven’t read any of the others but I would recommend to do that as this story was a bit hard to get into without it. However once I got into the story I found it enjoyable. I liked the characters and the humour the lead character has. I love how the writer has brought not only PJ but her whole family to life. With the comedy between her family and the intrigue in the case she’s working there is something to keep everyone gripped.
PJ is a private investigator and a TV reporter. When a divorce case she is working on turns into murder she needs to find out who is responsible. But with pressures from her job and her family this is going to be anything but a simple investigation.

Aiko by Brooke May a sweet and salty five-star read. This was not what I was expecting, but it ended up being so much more. I had not read the blurb on this one, just the cover and the author made me want to read it, so it was a lovely surprise when I got into it and realised the subject. I adored Aiko, even at her most annoying I still warmed to her, everyone has some bad luck, hers was just worse honest. This was a great story and one that will hook you in and not let you go until the last page, so do pick it up and make sure you have time to enjoy it, as you wont want to put it down, so don’t go in thinking you will read a chapter or two before bed like I did as you will get up the next morning and need your own injection of something to pick you up.

Santa Got Run Over by a Vampire by Carrie Pulkinen a five-star read that will bring the spirit to you. This is a great Christmas story and falls as number four in the New Orleans Nocturn series and the whole series has just been so much fun, Jane Deveraux has always made me chuckle, but honestly watching her run around like a headless chicken just made me giggle so much, she may have caused all the stress herself, but honestly, she does not it without malice and just adds a great layer to the story. This has been so much fun to read and it is a great addition to the series.

I loved reading the book Santa Got Run Over by a Vampire: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 4) by Carrie Pulkinen. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. It is a book that includes romance and also moments that make me laugh out loud. I love the characters and enjoyed how they interact with each other. The author does an amazing job of making both the storyline/plot and the characters come alive. What does the future hold for Jane? Will she be able to teach Father Christmas how to be a vampire? Will she be able to get through the holidays as her father is coming to visit? Read this book to find out. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining story that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it. This is the fourth story in a series that I have loved since the first book.

This romantic comedy about Cupid’s helpers had me smiling and even laughing at times. Aiko is one of Cupid’s helpers but she hasn’t had the best of luck getting human couples together… she’s accidentally started a fire in a library, a war started by a prince taking a woman, etc. Anyway, the book is entertaining and the characters are fun, caring, and relatable. After waiting for many years, Aiko is given the chance to prove herself to Cupid and the mother figure Brielle that she can do good things and bring people together Can she manage to helping Alejandro finally find his love?

Love Heels!: The TV news business can be murder (PJ Santini Series Book 3) by Lynne Russell is a romantic crime comedy. As usual Lynne has given us a fun and entertaining read. In typical PJ Santini style she once again finds herself smack bang in the middle of murder and mayhem and as we all know she won’t stop until she has discovered the truth. This story had me laughing out loud at the antics and banter of the characters who are mostly family and friend. This is the third book in the series and each book gets better and better and Lynne has proven she has what it takes to keep the pages turning.

Love Heels: The TV News business can be murder by Lynne Russell is the third book in the PJ Santini series. This series can be read out of order as the stories are all stand-alone however since they follow the same character I would recommend reading them in order to get the full background and build up. This book has got to be my favourite in the series so far!!! It is so entertaining right from the word go. I loved delving back into this character, she is always so much fun. And yet at the same time the story is always so interesting and well developed. It is fast paced and really attention grabbing, it had me on the edge of my seat a few times. This whole series has been amazing so far and I am already looking forward to whatever else this author produces!!!

I enjoyed this paranormal Christmas story. I found this story to be entertaining, easy to read and just a fun plot. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her and for the holiday season. Jane is back in this holiday season story. She is adjusting great to being a vampire and being married to one. Until she ran over Santa! Now she is faced with having to turn Santa into a vampire and get him to the North Pole so he can deliver presents. Not only does she have all that but her dad is coming and he doesn’t know she is a vampire nor married. I highly recommend reading this book to find out how it all turns out for Jane and how she gets through it. This really is a great Christmas story that is full of magic and spirit. The characters bring the story to life and make it entertaining to read.

Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal romance author who has always been fascinated with things that go bump in the night. Of course, when you grow up next door to a cemetery, the dead (and the undead) are hard to ignore. Pair that with her passion for writing and her love of a good happily-ever-after, and becoming a paranormal romance author seems like the only logical career choice.
Before she decided to turn her love of the written word into a career, Carrie spent the first part of her professional life as a high school journalism and yearbook teacher. She loves good chocolate and bad puns, and in her free time, she likes to read, drink wine, and travel with her family.

Cat Anderson doesn’t want much out of life. Give her a circle of friends to giggle with, a few boys to flirt with, a cute outfit, bouncy hair and she is good to go!
She especially could care less about food.
But food, it turns out, is a very big deal.
A scheduling mishap on her first day of 8th Grade lands Cat in a Culinary Arts class.
Something happens when Cat bakes, something amazing, something impossible.
Cori Cooper lives in the magical Arizona Mountains, which she’s pretty convinced is the setting for all the fairy tales.
Besides writing stories, she adores hanging out with her family, playing board games, hiking and baking, baking, baking. Like Cat’s family, she’s positive Cinnamon Rolls fix everything.

Love Heels is a really good private eye story by Lynne Russell. It is the third book in the PJ Santini Series. I had not read any work by this author before and I wish I had read the previous two books in this series as I felt a little lost at the beginning as if I needed more information. I have to admit that due to this it took me a bit to get into this book but once I did I really enjoyed it. PJ Santini is a tv investigative report who also works as a private eye. Once I got to know her I absolutely adored her as a character. She’s beautiful, confident and sassy and absolutely everything that I’m not. She’s just the type of woman that you want to be. One thing I adored is her family. The scenes that contained her family are my favourites in the book. There is so much humour in them that I laughed so much. One thing I love in a book is when the secondary characters add value to the story and are not just there to make up the numbers and this is certainly the case with this book. Add to all of this, the case that she’s working on really keeps the reader engaged and you are desperate to know how it all works out. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read more of PJ Santini in the future.

Angels and Demons and Witches, oh my! This was a laugh out loud kind of book. I loved every minute of following Crimson and her new found troubles. As a Paranormal Romance fan, I was thrilled about the happy ending. The Devil himself couldn’t even deny this sweet couple their happily ever after!

Life’s a Witch (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Gail Guerrero
Four Stars
I couldn’t stop laughing through this whole story. The characters were hilarious and well written especially Crimson. From the first page she had me laughing. Her filter is missing. She is a clumsy witch but it hasn’t stopped her from being who she is. The demon anonymous was funny. I couldn’t help but to enjoy this story. Mike is an interesting character as well. I have fun with this one and can’t wait to read more. It put a twist on the supernatural. In most stories you hear about the paranormal not interacting well together. Here it’s a beautiful grouping of diverse characters. Rosemary can suck my toe with her serious control issues. She just did too much for me. Overall a good read with it serious moments but still making you laugh.
