Daddy’s Girl is a fun-loving romance story that will have you laughing and relating to the characters within the book. The plotline is simple but effective. Two people not looking for love realize that they need each other. The story goes at a good clip. I know I had to hold on because I was plowing through the story. This story is Joel and Em’s story. Em is a “daddy’s girl” who has a Ph.D. who is not ready to be with one man. Her daddy had other plans for her. Joel is focusing on his business to date anyone. Then there was his client who was trying to set up his daughter with Joel. Will this be a disaster in the making? Does Joel develop feelings for Em? Is Em ready for a single man relationship? I highly recommend this book to find out the answers to these questions and more.

Daddy’s girl is the awesome 3rd book in the Freshwater series by Belinda Williams. It’s a fantastic contemporary romance series set in the Freshwater area of Australia. It can be read as a standalone but I’d definitely recommend reading all three books in the series and if you read all three then it makes more sense to read them in the correct order to avoid spoilers. I’ve now read all 3 and I can safely say that I adore this series of books. For as long as she can remember, Em Georgiou’s father has been trying to set her up will suitable, eligible young men all of whom she’s had absolutely no interest in. Even if she was interested, she’s going nowhere near someone recommended by her father. That is, until she meets Joel Scott who is trying to win a contract with her father. Neither of them are interested in relationships, their careers are the number one factor in their lives. That is, until they both can’t stop thinking of the other. I absolutely loved this story and both Em and Joel are amazing characters that I just fell in love with. Well, I already adored Em from the previous 2 books. Joel expected a daddy’s girl, a spoiled brat but what he got in Em was totally the opposite: a beautiful, highly intelligent woman with similar interests and passions as his own. This is a fun filled, romantic story that I’d call a page turner. I was to enthralled in Em and Joel’s story and did not want to put it down. Would definitely recommend Daddy’s Girl.

Daddy’s Girl is the third book in Belinda Williams’ Freshwater series. Like the previous books in the series, it has a gorgeous coastal Australian setting with a fiery romance between interesting characters. The books in the series are connected by the protagonists (first Kat, then Jess, now Em) living in the same building. They’ve grown to be friends, which means I was eager to see Em get her own story, and grateful in this story for the chance to catch up with Kat, Jess and their partners. Living in a penthouse owned by her father, Em seems at first sight a spoiled daddy’s girl. But she is uncomfortable to be relying on her father, and only does so because it enables her to focus on the PhD she hopes will let her make some positive changes in the world. Her father hopes she will get married and settle down, preferably soon, and is constantly setting her up with young bachelors. Joel can be a bit annoying at times – he broods a lot over his dark past and is quite self-centred – but he’s clearly trying to do the right thing. I’m hoping there are more books in the series so we can see his character develop further after the drama of this book calms down. For me, this is a five-star read. It’s an enjoyable, easy-to-read romance and a lovely location to escape to. It would work as a standalone but the whole series is great and worth reading in order to get to know the characters.

Once again Belinda Williams has brought us another brilliant addition to this series, that is fast-paced and captivating from the beginning. This is book three in the Freshwater series and they can all be read as a stand-alone but honestly, you wouldn’t want to miss anyone of them. This read takes you on a journey full of pain, heartache, joy, happiness and much much more. I can’t wait to read more from this author and see where this series takes us next.

Daddy’s Girl (Freshwater Book 3) by Belinda Williams. I loved this book. Its a contemporary romance about Emily (Em) Georgiou who is from a huge greek family that wants nothing more than for her to settle down. Em is all about finishing her PHD and is not worried about settling down or relationships. Em’s dad is even trying to set her up with a guy from her dad’s company. Joel Scott has one rule, no relationships so when a man he’s working on a deal with asks him to pay attention to his daughter Joel is afraid not to because he doesn’t want to lose the deal. He can flirt with the best of them but that doesn’t mean he’s going to marry them. Until he meets Em, Joel is smitten and they end up hooking up. The only problem is neither of them meant to have feelings for the other. Em is devastated because she has been planning on applying for a job at Joel’s company. Have they ruined everything? Will they change their no relationship rule? Read Daddy’s girl to find out!

Love At First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance is the first book in the Haunted Ever After seriesby Carrie Pulkinen. Something Ms. Pulkinen does incredibly well is her ability to deliver a fantastic story that I can get completely lost in- in a great way- and this book was no exception. I was excited to get my hands on this book and when it arrived, I jumped right in. This paranormal romance has ghosts, empaths/psychics, wonderful supernatural elements, a little mystery, some danger, endearing characters, and plenty of sizzle. Logan Mitchell may seem like he has the perfect life- voted Detroit’s Most Eligible Bachelor, he’s got the good looks and money, seemingly with the world at his feet. But it’s anything but perfect for him- he just feels cursed. With his sanity on the line, hope is fading fast. Until he meets Allison. With her unique talents, she may be the key to solving his problems. If you love paranormal romance with a little sizzle, then you won’t want to miss this book- it’s well worth the read to find out how everything plays out in the end. The characters are quite quirky individuals who really made this story come alive. They were really interesting and very well developed. I loved Logan and Allison, and was cheering them on right from the start! There was definitely a lot more to them, and the story, than first meets the eye, that’s for sure! As I have mentioned previously, I have developed a severe addiction to Ms. Pulkinen’s stories- it’s an addiction that I am more than happy to indulge- no rehab needed! Bring on Book #2!!

Daddy’s Girl by Belinda Williams is book three of the Freshwater Series. This book can be read as a standalone.
Em is driven and smart. She’s got too much to accomplish before she even thinks about settling down. Her father on the other hand thinks the time is now. Her father is always on the look out for men to send Em’s way. Starting a family isn’t a dream Em’s had for herself. That is until she meets Joel. What is it about Joel that has her picturing a different future? Joel doesn’t have time for relationships. He’s got a business to focus on. As he’s trying to close a deal with Mr.Georgiou, he offers to set Joel up with zen to get to know her more. Joel needs to close this deal so he takes him up on the offer, not expecting what he gets when he meets Em. He realizes everything Em is and knows he wants more than a hook up with her but how does he convince her he isn’t doing this to impress her father? Will these two alter the plans they had for their futures to make room for each other.
This was a good read! It was enjoyable and I really enjoyed watching the characters evolve and change and realize that that’s okay to do to make room for new dreams while holding on to the old ones.

Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine – Audio Book By J.D. Frettier 4 stars
Ok, so going in to this book I had absolutely no idea what I was in for, I kind of got the idea it was going to be paranormal kind of read with a twist and I was right! Paranormal with a humorous twist. I’m a bit weird about the ‘after life’ so wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it but I have to say the book was such fun. It was only short (around 1 and ½ hours listening time) but that didn’t mean the story was lacking. The pace was fast, the writing good and I really enjoyed the characters. I certainly laughed out loud at some parts in the story. I thought that narration was really good, it was easy to listen to.

This is the 3rd book in the Freshwater Series and I enjoyed this just as much as the first 2. The characters are likeable and you really feel a connection to them. It is nice to have a strong female lead character as well as a powerful successful male character.
Em has almost graduated with her PhD. With her goals focused on starting her new career and being successful she doesn’t have time for love or romance. However her father wants her to settle down so he keeps trying to set her up. Add to this her father’s job and how it conflicts with what Em believes in and this makes their relationship strained. So when he try to set her up again she is less than impressed. Until she meets Joel Scott.
Joel is a successful business man. Like Em his focus is his work so when his prespective employer thinks he will like his daughter he goes along with the set up to win over his favour.
What he finds is that Em is nothing like he expected and he is drawn to the strong independent woman that she is.
Can love bloom when neither of them want it? Can Joel prove to Em that he’s interested in her and not just to win favour with her dad? Can they find room in their lives to focus on something other than their careers?

This is an author I have enjoyed through every one of her books. This one is no different. This is a well written story that pulls you in right from the start. The characters made the story fun to read as well as entertaining. They are connectable and engaging. I enjoyed this paranormal story about Allison and Logan. She is a medium who because of her past is afraid of spirits. He has a ghost that is haunting and driving him crazy. Just when he is about to give up hope, he meets her and she just may be the answer to his prayers. I enjoyed their characters and what they bring to the story. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. They truly just made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

This is the third book in the series. Joel Scott and Em. Meeting at a wedding the usaly bridesmaids get some but what happens when other things interventions. Its a secret from others how long can they keep this going. Em Georgiou doesn’t have time for love can Joel convince her there is time. He guards his past so closely that you know something bad has happened which will continue to affect him. And it was interesting to watch Em evolve from the woman who wants nothing to do with any type of relationship to possibly falling in love. Characters from the previous books make appearances in this story so it was fun to see what they were up to.

I was excited to get my hands on Daddy’s Girl, the third book in the Freshwater series from Belinda Williams. I loved the first two so it was an easy one-click for myself. It isn’t necessary to read the books in order or the other two before diving into this one, but I am sure you will want to go back and devour them as well when you finish this one. The Freshwater books really are a fun, romantic, and sassy series that will have you giggling and cheering for the couples the whole time. Daddy’s Girl gives us the story of Em and Joel. They may have opposite goals in the beginning, Em with her desire to finish school and start her career, and Joel who basically thinks she can have it all even when she doesn’t see it. Will they find their happily ever after? I can’t wait to see whose story we will get next!

Love At First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the first book in the Haunted Ever After series. This is yet another amazing book by an author who has become one of my absolute favourites. I don’t even bother to read the blurb of her books any more, if I see her name in the cover I get it immediately!! I loved Logan and Allison. They worked so well together and I could feel their connection. I also loved the fact that Allison was afraid of ghosts – it put such a unique twist on that type of story. The book is well written and highly entertaining. As with all of this authors books I found myself laughing throughout and thoroughly enjoying every moment of it. Every needs to read this book today and I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2!

I really loved this book! From the beginning to the end I was really engaged in what I was reading. I loved the previous books in the series also and this one definitely lived up to those! I really like the authors relaxed writing style; the stories flow really well and make them so easy and effortless to read. I find myself completely lost in what I’m reading and they are difficult to put down. I loved the characters Em and Joel! Their story was great to read about. There were definitely some very funny moments between the characters – I love a good laugh out loud book and this one certainly ticked that box! If you’re looking for a light heart funny romance read then I would highly recommend Daddy’s Girl!

I enjoyed this romance story. This is a well developed story that has characters that are unique and creative. I had no problems connecting with them as they brought the story to life. The story is fast paced and engaging. This is a story about Joel and Em. Joel is so focused on his business that he just doesn’t do relationships. But when one of his biggest client asks him to meet his daughter, he never expects to find Em. She is determined to finish school and start her business. What will fate have in store for these two? First impressions are important but will Joel convince Em there is more to his feelings than what she thinks? They made great characters that I just enjoyed. I highly recommend this book.

This story just really pulled at my heart strings. At first it’s all sassy and fun then the serious stuff hits. It’s weird for the male lead to be the one thinking they are unworthy. But Joel does and it plays out full of heartache and strength of character. As you can tell I enjoyed this story. It has depth, hope and strength. This drew me in with the fun and I became fully involved with the storyline.
I loved the spunk and fire of Em. She knows her self worth and doesn’t let others think less. She is kind, thoughtful and smart. Joel is surprised by Em. She is not what he was expecting…she is better. They have ups and downs to conquer and Work, family, friends and the past to all figure out how end up together …or apart.
Over all this is a story that affects my heart. It was filled with joy, sorrow and relief. I love it all! It was great to chat here u with the characters from the previous books.

This is the third book in the Freshwater series. This story follows Em, working on her PhD, and Joel, an architect. Neither are interested in a relationship as they are both too focused on their future. Joel’s client (Em’s father) suggests he and Em go out together. Meeting a spoiled daddy’s girl was not what he had in mind. But alas, Em’s father wants nothing more than for his little girl to settle down and get married. When Joel meets her, she is definitely not what he expected. Of course, sparks fly, but Joel needs to prove to her that he really is interested in her and not just because of her father.

For medium Allison Gray, it certainly is. She’s seen dead people for as long as she can remember, but a harrowing incident from her past has left her terrified of spirits.
The one in Logan’s house is no exception.
Logan Mitchell is an empath, and while his gift of reading people’s emotions has come in handy in the business world, it’s about to drive him insane. Literally.
If his psychic power doesn’t make him crazy, the ghost that’s haunting him soon will.
He’s given up hope of ever having a normal life, until he meets Allison.
She could be the answer to his prayers, but even if she can overcome her fears, loving Logan will mean risking her life.
If you like steamy romance and tortured heroes, you’ll love this thrilling ghost story!
Carrie Pulkinen is a paranormal romance author who has always been fascinated with things that go bump in the night. Of course, when you grow up next door to a cemetery, the dead (and the undead) are hard to ignore. Pair that with her passion for writing and her love of a good happily-ever-after, and becoming a paranormal romance author seems like the only logical career choice.
Before she decided to turn her love of the written word into a career, Carrie spent the first part of her professional life as a high school journalism and yearbook teacher. She loves good chocolate and bad puns, and in her free time, she likes to read, drink wine, and travel with her family.

Something Joel has no interest in. He does not do relationships! Once they meet Joel discovers Em is far more than her father gives her credit for. She is smart, educated and strong willed. Shocking Joel, he finds himself wondering if maybe he can try to know Em. Em on the other hand wants nothing to do with Joel. Or does she? Will these two come together or run the other way?
Belinda Williams has written this laugh out loud romantic comedy. I loved reading her story and getting to know her characters. Sometimes we are smarter than our father’s think. Or anybody else for that matter. Be sure to touch bases with your feelings.I think you will love reading this book as much as I did. It is fast paced and draws you right in. Sit down and enjoy this story as I did. Belinda Williams you knock this one out of the park! Well Done Belinda Williams. WELL done!

This book was so sweet to read and I’m grateful that she came in with a beautiful attitude and that she stole Joel’s heart from the way she maintained a personal attitude. Speaking of Em, her father is a sweetheart who just sees the bigger picture: LOVE, the old fashioned love that makes these books worth reading. I was blown away by the characters more than anything else in this book. So, brava to Belinda Williams for writing a new favorite book for me.

Carrie Pulkinen is easily becoming one of my favourite authors. I fell upon this author completely on accident and I’m so grateful that I did. I adore all her characters, her world building, story telling and, of course, her clever titles. ‘Flipping the Bird’ did not disappoint. It focuses around a crow shifter that is trying to save her dying town then in steps Donovan, the warlock with no magically powers. Their story is hilarious, steamy and completely chaotic – and I fell completely head over heels for these two. I’d highly recommend to all my supernatural lovers.

Bonnie has let go. As Bonnie is in purogtray or is that where she is. This is a lovely listen and very upbeat despite the topics. There alot of humor in this short listen which makes you smile or roll over the floor laughing depending on your sense of humor. All these characters are very well written and you can feel yourself in there shoes. Warning don’t listen around children or you may find yourself embarrassed. This is a true tounge in cheek feel good story.

License to Bite: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Carrie Pulkinen . This is my first Audible and I actually enjoyed listening and Hollie done a wonderful job. I honestly liked listening a lot more than I thought I would. It was a nice change not staring at a screen. I absolutely love this author , I love her style of writing and the fact she makes me chuckle. Her characters are fun, relatable and fully developed . Jane and Ethan, she’s the Governors daughter and is used to getting what she wants. A girls trip to Mardi Gras finds her in the arms of Ethan who is a hot as sin Vampire . He gives her the gift of immortality and super strength. There’s one tiny issue she doesn’t like the sight of blood and usually faints. I found myself chuckling throughout this story. These two are funny and whitty. Find out what happens next by grabbing this and giving it a listen. I highly recommend and look forward to more audible books.

This is book 1 in the series and I listened to this as an audiobook. I really enjoyed this book, it was light-hearted, full of humour and a little romance. Jane can’t stand the sight of blood, which becomes a problem when she is turned into a Vampire by Ethan. Ethan was convinced Jane was his reincarnated fiancee but soon discovers that wasn’t the case, in fact, she’s the complete opposite. Jane was what I imagine to be a southern belle. With her fathers position in politics, she was able to talk her way through any situation, which seemed to frustrate quiet and reserved Ethan. I loved the chats with her best friend Sophie and the way she handled every situation. The narration by Hollie Jackson was brilliant, the accents and the delivery really added to the listening and helped immerse me j to the story.

Em and Joel’s story was entertaining to read. Em knows what she wants out of life…which is currently to complete her PhD and make a difference in the world. She does not have time for, nor want, a relationship…despite what her large Greek family wants for her. More importantly, her dad is constantly pushing guys her way hoping that she will fall in love, have a large Greek wedding, and settle down to start a family. She is already not looking forward to the guy her dad has set up for her to meet at the wedding she is in. Joel is a successful business man that is currently working on a deal with a large developer. When the man he is trying to make a deal with says he should meet his daughter, Joel doesn’t want to say no for fear of losing the deal. When he meets Em, though, she is nothing like he expects her to be. She is smart, opinionated, and so much more than he bargained for. With neither of them wanting a relationship, and her interviewing for a job at his company, will they be able to keep a secret hook-up going…or were they destined to be a one-time fling? This book was entertaining…and you knew Joel’s past would surface at some point. He guards his past so closely that you know something bad has happened which will continue to affect him. And it was interesting to watch Em evolve from the woman who wants nothing to do with any type of relationship to possibly falling in love. Characters from the previous books make appearances in this story so it was fun to see what they were up to. Overall, another good book in the series.
