Amy McKinley never disappoints me. This was so good, you have Mafia Princess Liliana who is a total boss. The phrase “She is beauty, she is grace, she will punch you in the face” is the best way I can describe her. She knows that her father is using her as a pawn to get the best deal to save himself and will not go quietly. Matt is her ticket to freedom but he has secrets and once he unleashes the truth there is no coming back from it. This book was packed with action, love, spice, and friendship. Amy McKinley blew me away with it and I cannot wait to read the next one!

I enjoyed this action filled story. This is the second book in this series which I enjoyed. This is a newer author for me which I have enjoyed. I am pulled into the story from the beginning and the author’s use of details made the story feel realistic. This is a well written story that I found to be fast paced and engaging. I had a hard time putting this book down. The characters are relatable and give life to the story. Amy has been estranged from her family for the past few years because she blames herself for the death of her sister. Now she is out for revenge. What will happen when her past comes crashing into her present and she is presented with a choice of revenge or love? What will she choose? I enjoyed the twists and turns that kept me turning pages. They had me wanting to know what would happen next. I really enjoyed what Amy brought to the story and how strong she is. A great story full of secrets, revenge and a murderer that needs to be caught. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens with Amy and if love wins out.

This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up, she never lets me down. I am pulled into the story from the beginning by the characters. The author’s use of details make her story feel realistic. Her characters are connectable and keep the story engaging. This book is no different. It is well written and the characters brought the story to life on each page. This is a story of an arranged marriage along with secrets and who doesn’t love a hot, steamy mafia man. This is a story about Max and Liliana. They are great, strong characters that have awesome chemistry. I also enjoyed the growth throughout the story with them. She is born into power but is just a pawn for her father. He wants what’s his and revenge against those who wronged him. You don’t want to miss what happens with them. This is a must read story that I highly recommend.

No Way Out: An Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley is the first book in the Mafia Elite series. This is a fantastic start to a new series and the kind of book you will have to read in one sitting. I have come to learn with this author that it doesn’t matter what she writes it is always amazing. So much so that I picked up this book without reading the description, no hesitations. I was completely swept away by this story from the second I started reading. I connected with the characters and with their journey. I was taken on their highs and lows and experienced everything with them. I didn’t want this book to end – even more so because it read it so quickly. This is an explosive start to a new series and I am already chomping at the bit for the second book.

TAINTED by Marsha R. West. I loved this book! Its the story of socialite Elizabeth whose husband is arrested for money laundering thru their family restaurants. The FBI is convinced Elizabeth knows all about it so she divorces her husband and moves her and her daughter to Red River, New Mexico. Her family has a cabin there and she plans to spend the summer there until she can figure out what to do. Hoping to find some peace and quiet she is surprised when trouble once again finds her. Looking to the local sheriff for help she realizes its her old flame Matt. Matt is determined to keep Elizabeth and her daughter safe and will do whatever it takes. As Matt and Elizabeth spend more and more time together old feelings come back and sparks begin to fly. This is such a good drama with suspense and even a little romance!

Tainted is the first book I have read by Marsha West, and I would read more in the future. While I am not 100% sold on the writing style (too much dialogue and the mother/daughter relationship was too lovey dovey), I really enjoyed the book. The story is unique, and the characters are well written. It is a romantic suspense centered around starting over when your world comes crashing down around you. Liz Hartman is left picking up the pieces and trying to restart her life as a middle age woman, after her husband (now ex) is arrested and sent to federal prison for money laundering. Even from prison, he seems to find a way to torment and harass her. She is constantly getting questioning stares, as everyone assumes she had to have been involved in the scheme. She wants nothing more than a clean slate, but struggles with the idea of walking away from her home to start over. Lucky for her, she has two homes. She has visited a little town in New Mexico annually, her whole life. Maybe this is the perfect place to build a new home. To help things along, the Marshall in town is her high school sweet heart. Can they rekindle their romance 20+ years later?

For three years, Amy Stuart has blamed herself for the death of her sister, and it’s caused an estrangement with her family. She vows to get revenge on the vicious drug lord. The Data Acquisition Group’s newest mission will put her right in the crosshairs of her nemesis. Hired by Hugh Bainbridge IV to discover how drugs are being smuggled into his mother’s charity, Amy vows to not only gather intelligence, but to kill the drug dealer who so brutally destroyed her family.
Yet when she starts investigating, it’s Hugh who holds her captivated, not her quest for justice. A lawyer who wears sweats instead of suits, Hugh has carved out a new life for himself outside of the expectations of his father. Amy is just his type: smart, feisty, and lethally gorgeous. But can she handle all his secrets?
As Amy gets closer to the cold-blooded murderer from her past, she’ll have to choose between revenge and love—for time is running out.

My love of romance books began in my early teens when I would steal my mother’s Harlequin Presents and read them under the covers after bedtime.

If you like action-packed, romance, and suspense all tied into one then boy oh boy is Tainted for you. Ms. West quickly grabs her readers in the beginning with a fascinating plot line and fabulous characters. With so many twists and turns in the story you find yourself really diving in, and not being able to wait to see what happens. Ms. West vividly describes her scenes and characters so beautifully that you can’t help but get sucked in, and the heart-warming family touch really helped as well. Over all I rated this book 5 out of 5, and will definitely be looking for more books by Ms. West.

This book will have you hooked from start to finish! I loved the mystery and intrigue of Matt / Max’s identity, the badassness of the mafia princesses, and the loyalty/hate the characters had for one another.
At first it was a bit confusing keeping all the family trees separate, and I had to flip to the beginning of the book a couple of times to see the tree they provided, but I feel it was really well written and easy to understand after a short time of getting to know the characters.
I like that the book had more than one point of view so you got both main characters’ thoughts and feelings. I’m very interested to see where things go in the next book!

What a great romantic suspense story. It drew me in straight away and o could not put it down I had no idea what was going to happen. Elizabeth is such a strong female character it was great to see. She goes away with her daughter as she feels in danger when finally luck is on her side the local sheriff was her high school sweetheart, can she get another chance at a happily ever after?

I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging novel, the first one I have read by this author but it definitely will not be the last. This romantic suspense story was a real page turner and had me hooked from page one. When socialite and philanthropist Elizabeth’s husband is arrested for money laundering she looses the trust of those in her hometown of Fort Worth. Having divorced her husband she takes her teenage daughter and their dog and drives to Red River, New Mexico to her family’s cabin to spend the summer. Liz was hoping for a peaceful holiday away from the suspicious looks and the FBI who still suspect her of knowing about her husbands crime, however danger seems to have followed her.
When Liz asks local law enforcement for help she’s surprised to find that the town’s marshal is her old high school sweetheart Matt. Matt had moved to Red River to escape the Dallas murders that took his partner’s life. Matt is determined to keep Liz and daughter Lauran safe. The more time Liz and Matt spend together the more they try to fight their attraction for one another but maybe they can both have a second chance at love. The setting really comes alive due to the descriptive narrative which made me feel immersed in the story. The characters are all likeable and relatable which helped me feel engaged with them. The storyline flowed well and the plot had plenty of drama, suspense and romance to keep me happily turning the pages. A great read and one which I recommend.

Tainted is a fantastic romantic suspense novel by Marsha R. West. I had not read any of this author’s work before reading Tainted so was unsure what to expect from this book. What I can say is it’s one of the best books that I have read in a while. I was really gripped by this book and did not want to put it down. I absolutely loved thew two main characters Matt and Liz. Both are very relatable characters and you really become invested in their story. Along with these two, Liz’s daughter Lauran and Matt’s daughter Sarah also play very large roles in the book. I really loved the relationship between Liz and Lauran. There is such a close bond between the mother and daughter and both would do anything for the other. There is a lot of drama and suspense in this book, related to Liz’s ex husband who is in prison for money laundering. He’s determined to get Liz back and causes mayhem for her, even from his prison hospital. Tainted is well written and the storyline flows really well keeping you entertained and gripped from the very beginning right up to the very end. 100% recommend this book.

Have you ever been so frustrated, overtired and filled with so much RAGE that only one little thing will push you over the edge….. Well this is where Marcy finds herself. One nightmare has driven her to the brink of uncomfortable RAGE. She’s alienated everyone close to her. And now to make matters worse the man she loves has given her an ultimatum, she has to get help or it’s over (what an ass). Just when she thinks life can’t get any worse she gets held at gunpoint…. that’s when it happens, that’s the point where her RAGE gets pushed over the edge of no return. But as luck will have it, that’s when she meets the one person that might just be able to get her back from the brink of disaster.
This is a, on the edge of your seat, nail bitting, page turning kind of book. Linda Burson knows how to hook you into a book coma. Marcy is a very well thought out character. The storyline definitely leaves you wondering. Don’t blink or you will miss something and believe me you will not want to miss anything. Great start to a great series.
And what makes this even better is you het the first 3 books in 1!!!! That’s a bonus because believe my you’re not gonna want to stop after the first book

The suspense in this book kept you on your toes, you are so into the characters that all of sudden something happens and you are shocked. When you think it couldn’t possibly get worst or that nothing else could happen to our amazing strong independent heroine you are wrong! The ending threw me for a loop, I thought all was peaceful and calm and the book took a different turn! I love the relationship she has with her daughter, it is nice to see her daughter support her through the hurricaine that was their father. There isnt much info on the son but that seems typical after the ordeal and the mess he had to pick up now managing all the stores by himself.

I really like the main character, Liz; she had been through so much in her life and she dealt with it so well. She was a likeable character and I enjoyed reading about her. The cabin in the mountains that she went down sounded so lovely and idyllic, definitely what Liz needed after everything with her husband. Sparks definitely flew when she was faced with someone from her past. I loved the twists and turns in the story, the author did a great job with the suspense running through the book. Ride For Me was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is Gage and Lil’s story.
Lil is part of a group of friends that call themselves “The Crew”, one night during a get together Mace’s cousin Gage joins them. There is something about him that pulls Lil in and when they touch there is a definite spark. I had a LOL moment when they first see each other. Gage can feel the connection with Lil but his tragic past is keeping him from fully giving into his attraction to her at first.
What will happen when he finally gives in? Will Lil’s past ruin things for them?
Overall this was a great read and I LOVED all of the characters and their personalities. My emotions were all over the place. And the ending, all I can say is OMG. The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

Lil is the twin of Mickey(Josh). When she meets Gage she isn’t sure what to make of him. He kisses her one second, but pushes her away the next second. As time passes on things get better between them. The quote I chose for Lil is: “F*** you, Jono, you sicko. They’ll find me soon, then you’ll be sorry you set your hands on me.”
Gage moved up from his hometown to get away from the past. When he meets Lil and falls hard for her he doesn’t know what to do. The quote I chose for Gage is: “Just over three years ago, I was in a relationship that…ended…very abruptly. It wasn’t expected, and some days I feel like I haven’t gotten over it at all. But what you need to know is that I haven’t been in a relationship of any sort since then. Even the mere thought used to make me physically sick. I never wanted to have a relationship again. Ever again. I just, I don’t know what it is about you, but you…F***. For whatever reason, I’m drawn to you no matter how much I don’t want to be. You’re like the dawn of a new day after a thousand years spent in darkness; the very place I’ve become accustomed to living in. You would never be ‘just another notch on my belt’, as you put it, and it’s hard to ignore what naturally seems to be between us. Plus, it’s baffling the hell out of me. What’s even more confusing is that I’m not even sure I want to ignore it. I just don’t f***ing know.”

This book is so relatable. I really had a very personal connection to this series. I had everything I could think of then lost due to circumstances. Marcy lost it because of her anger and pride in not wanting to get help. Possible trigger warning for some people.

Burson – Review by Angela Renee Diaz
This is a very intense trilogy. Marcy is increasingly shown to us to be an unreliable narrator, in that we aren’t sure that what she is perceiving (and what she is narrating) is actually happening. She is troubled by haunting dreams, has extensive confusion, and has trouble telling the difference between reality and her dreamworld. Both Brad and Liam seem very suspect, with high emotion and controlling mentalities. The style of writing also conveys a wonky mental state. Even when a conversation is happening between Marcy and one of the men, it has a quality of recounting a memory; it doesn’t read like the event is quite happening in real time. While I can see how using that voice feeds into the depiction of her skewed world, personally I found it difficult to wrap my head around, and a bit unsettling to read. This is a very unique and emotionally intense set of books with an intriguing framework.

Burson – review by Erica Shoebridge
Lil and Gage have that special something that most grown women dream of, wish for, and deem ‘relationship goals.’ Despite their previous relationships that ended in tragedy, and the initial need to fight that zing that they both feel, they cautiously explore a friendship, and recognize the potential that could have them be so much more. I felt as though Vi Summers did an amazing job introducing the reader on The North Shore Crew members, their different connections, and the lifelong friendships that they’ve shared. They are each other’s chosen family, and the drama and growth that each of them goes through and their support system leaves the reader wanting and appreciating their friendships as well. I absolutely adore the connection that Lil and her brother Josh ‘Mickey’ share, how we see how the two main characters deal with their own grief and losses, and encourage the reader to be stronger, and to appreciate the little things.
The only thing was that I felt as though the book was a wee bit long. The first half does tend to drag a bit, only because it’s a lot of build up to Lil and Gage’s HEA. Once you hit the 50% mark, things start to really pick up, and the reader is drawn in, if anything like me, and finishing the remainder of the book in one sitting. There are a lot of raw emotions, some graphic events, lots of love, care, and sincerity. A++ from this avid reader, very much looking forward to indulging in more by this author, specifically Break for Me, where we’ll get to dive into Mace and Jess’s adventure!

Ride For Me was the first book I have read by Vi Summers, and will not be the last! I have to know what happens next for the Crew.
Reading the book I really felt for Lil and Gage and wanted them to get their happy ending. Can not wait to see what happens in the next books. Loved it!!!

Power packed with emotion! This book gets you from the start. Gage and Lil both come into the story with history. Written with amazingly well -written characters, the plot keeps you engaged with the main and supporting characters. They will go through good times, rough times and very challenging times. What makes the relationship is that they come through it together. They are there to support each other and get through it. The crew is all there for each other. This is one heck of book. I can’t wait to get out and get the rest of the series. Ms. Summers can write books that keep you locked in. Highly recommend.
