I loved this audiobook. It was a fun and entertaining story to listen to. The narrator brought the characters to life which made the story easy to listen to. This is my first audible story by this author, I can’t wait to listen to more from this series. This is the first book in this series and what a first book it was. The characters are strong and connectable. I enjoyed listening to Krystina and Alexander’s story. Their growth and chemistry are off the charts. Krystina was great without having a man by her side until she fell and he picked her up. She didn’t expect to look up and see him helping her up. What happens from here you will have to listen to the audio to find out. What will fate have in store for them? I highly recommend this audiobook.

The dynamic duo is back at it with the next book in the Sons of Sindicato series. This time we follow the love story of Mila and Dane who are both Mafia royalty. Again Johns and Jesus exceeded all my expectations with this book. Dare I say, but I might JUST A LITTLE love these characters more than Braelynn and Seth. The character development is absolutely amazing and the storyline is great with the will they won’t they feel. I always say that there’s nothing wrong with a little hate sex (wink)

Moonlit Kiss : A Venice Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley
Once again Ms.McKinley delivers a book that I throughly enjoyed from start to finish. The setting of Venice is perfect and I think Italy is higher on my list of places to visit one day.
I had such a hard time putting this book down and dropped my kindle on my face a few times wanting to get a little further and see what is going to happen and I wasn’t disappointed.
I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato Book 2) By Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns 5 out of 5 stars
Where do I even start? This book was un-put-downable and I don’t even care that that is not a word! The book started of with a bang and I didn’t want to put it down since. I forced myself to read only in the evenings close to bedtime to prevent myself from neglecting my adult duties but I can’t say my sleep didn’t suffer as a result. I struggle to form words to explain what it is I liked about Brink of Denial. It was just one of those books that played out like a good movie in my head. The writing paints such a vivid picture and there is no shortage of action or excitement through the entire novel. I would 100 percent recommend this book, and look forward to reading more from these authors.

Wes “Alamo” Crockett has just taken over the training center in Leesburg, Virginia. After a body is found in a cabin on the edge of Chase Securitys newly acquired property, Wes is assigned to a case of kidnapped and missing women. His first meeting with Eleanor, his new Director of Equine-Assisted Therapy, was not under very good circumstances. He finds himself drawn to this kind hearted woman as he spends time helping to care for her after her accident. He can tell she has a history as she seems to be afraid of him, which is the last thing he wants. Can he gain her trust? And in the meantime will he be able to figure out who is responsible for the missing women?
Eleanor West has a not so great history. The self image she has of herself isn’t a good one due to things that have happened in her past. When she is hurt in an accident on her way to the first day at her new job she meets Wes. She doesn’t realize he is her boss and finds herself attracted to him. Since Wes is helping to care for her rumors have started amongst her colleagues that she is getting preferential treatment. She has many secrets that she doesn’t want out in the open, but Wes makes her feel comfortable enough to want to share. Will she be able to trust him with her deepest darkest secrets?
I love this series! Every story has its own unique twist and they all have been able to find their happiness in the end. These books are always hard to put down once you have started them. Kudos to the author on another great book.

I absolutely LOVE the characters in this book. I can imagine that this is how the mafia would be run, the legal clean side to the dirty money and blood on their hands. Mila is a mafia daughter who even though she loves a son of Sindicato, she wants something different for her life. She finds that walking away from the life she doesn’t think she wants, years later leads her back to that exact life to help protect her. This book was filled with strong women that don’t just want to sit on the sidelines or take a back seat. I was rooting for Mila from the first page. Dane can be stubborn, but will he let her get away a second time. With surprises and secrets at every turn, this was a great exciting read.

Stepping Stone is the second book in the Stone Series: A Billionaire Romance by Dakota Willink. I have to say I think this book was even better than the first. The character growth and the continuing story had me on my listening late into the night. You really need to read this series in order to get the full effect. Krystine and Alexander continue to feel out their relationship. They have amazing chemistry and witty dialogue. I’m really looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.
This book was narrated by Lacy Laurel and Jeffrey Kafer, same as the first book. They do a wonderful job with the narration, bringing the characters to life. The voices are smooth and easy to listen to.

Dirty Tactics by Peyton Banks is an action packed and steamy romance. The story literally drops you in the middle of the action from the start. We first meet Marcas in a SWAT raid.
The girl next door uses every opportunity to take a peak at her hot neighbor and wants to get closer to him. Sarena gets her chance when he walks into the Emergency Room where she works.
She stands her ground and puts him in his place, which he isn’t used to. Unfortunately, her connection to him puts a target on her back. How far is Marcas willing to go to save Sarena? Will it be enough, or will he lose everything he has worked for?

Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is a heartwarming tale of rekindled love, learning to trust again, and finding family that strums all the appropriate heartstrings.
Sara, finding her latest foster placement no longer safe, decides that it is time for a new one. She has been warned that if she attempted to run away again, she would have to be moved. Hoping the threats are real, that is exactly what she does. Luckily, the threats are true but that means leaving her best friends behind.
Ten years later, Sara is now a Social Worker working for a foster care placement agency. Sara specializes in hard to reach children. Rachael is brought to the agency because she has run away, again. Sara is called in on her day off to try to talk to Rachael to find out why she doesn’t want to remain in her current foster placement. Rachael finds Sara different from all the other adults in her life that just make decisions for her, never really listening. Sara earns Rachael’s trust enough for Rachael to disclose the real reasons she doesn’t want to return to the foster home, a reason Sara knows all too well.
Rachael’s former foster father is on the run because Rachael talked. Sara promised that he would not find her but when he calls the group home she was placed, Rachael decides to make it so he won’t find her by disappearing in the middle of the night. Rachael runs to the one place Sara doesn’t want to return, the same town Sara abandoned years before. When Sara arrives in town to retrieve Rachael, she discovers that her former best friend, Colin, is the town sheriff. Now Sara must rely on Colin to keep Rachael safe from looming danger.
Can Sara and Colin rekindle the friendship and possibly find love? Is Sara the family that Rachael is longing for? Will the danger follow them?
This book contains triggering material for some. Graphic descriptions of domestic assault, child abuse, and attempted rape throughout the book may make this a difficult read for some. Inaccurate portrayals of the foster care system and its processes ruined the overall enjoyment of the story this reviewer. Some of these inaccuracies were key parts of the plotline causing the rhythm and flow to be off. This is not the first story I have read by Ms. Dunn. Where I do enjoy her storytelling ability, this one was a bit of a disappointment due to this and some other minor issues in character and plot development. I look forward to reading her next story.

A whirlwind romance with a dark side is how I would classify Alex and Krystina’s story! I found this story to be a very enjoyable and delicious read! Though this story is very reflective of others in this genre, I find Krystina’s story more inviting and relatable than previous reads of mine in this category. Her reactions and thoughts throughout the story are the way I might have reacted if it was me in this situation. In most other books I have read, the woman always seems to be “weaker” or “damsel in distress” and this was nice to have someone who is trying to do better than that! Who DOESN’T WANT THAT! Thank you Ms. Willink! The only real issue I had was the way the narrators performed the story! I wanted them to be more expressive than monotoned as well as their emphasis/inflection at places it didn’t sound right to have it. Sometimes they would find the right place other times not..it was hard to get past. I gave it 3 stars as it was something I got used to it and I wanted to satisfy my curiosity about what happened at the end of the novel!! I am looking forward to the next volume!

I typically like stand alone books better BUT Amy Mckinley makes each of her books connect in a way that its not super necessary to read the book before it (so far from what I can tell) and you can still understand the story. Like the first book in this series, I love how they didn’t really wait for their relationship to bloom..it already had years prior and they knew it was just right. I love how much Jaxon cared for Kayla and did whatever needed to make sure she was safe. This book was not short of any twists or turns, either! An easy read and definitely a favorite!

Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn is the fifth book in the Chase Security series. This is a fantastic book that just adds to a brilliant series. As soon as I started reading this book I was pulled straight back into the series. The book was fast paced and exciting, full of adventure all the way through. I really connected with these two characters. I thought they had a good chemistry and just seemed to work so well together. I quickly became invested in their story and what would happen to them. The author has created a really strong series and each book added to it just makes it all the better. I love when I get a chance to pick up a new book in the series and I am already looking toward to whatever might be next.

Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5) by R.L. Dunn. I love this series and I really enjoyed this book! This is the 5th book in the Chase Security Series and its just as good as all the others if not better! Its the story of Wes who is a Chase Security Exec and he’s just returned from a tough mission in New York so he’s looking forward to some down time but that doesn’t come! Ellie is running from her past so when she has a chance to be the Equine Therapy Director at a brand new training facility she jumps on it. Wes is assigned to the Equine Therapy Center and when he meets Ellie is instantly attracted. Their chemistry is off the charts. When trouble comes to find Ellie Wes is there in a heartbeat to protect her. When a body is found in a cabin close to the Equine Center’s property Wes gets involved to find out what is going on but his number one mission is to protect Ellie. This book has tons of romance and lots of mystery. A great read!

Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is a story of finding yourself through the toughest of situations. Although I’m unfamiliar with the life of a foster child, especially teens living in this reality, I feel the author did justice to help the reader understand the issues these individuals face and how difficult it is to grow up essentially alone and untrusting in a world where you feel unwanted. This story is about Sara, a former foster child turned social worker. Her background leads her to have a special understanding of other children in the system, which is where we meet Rachael, a teen in the system running away from her current foster parents due to abuse. To protect Rachael, Sara will do anything in her power to save her, even returning to a former small town where Sara had once ran from under her own foster care. Here, Sara runs into her former best friend, Colin, who has always held a flame for her and will do anything to protect and show his care. The reader is taken on a journey of finding love, friendship, and most important family. This story will make you realize how important these connections are to those currently in foster care and those that survived the system about how difficult it is to trust that these connections are true and valued by all involved. Wonderful story and highly recommended.

Two declarations of love. And a past that won’t set them free.
Alexander had rules. Krystina broke them. Together, they learned the hard way that life was too short to play the game. Choosing to not leave their relationship to Fate, they fell completely and irrevocably into one another. As two shattered souls, wrapped in each other’s arms, it was as if the world and all its troubles did not exist.
However, committing to love each other was only the beginning. Caught up in their blazing desire, they unexpectedly find themselves facing the shadows of the past once again. Just when Krystina thought she knew the man she committed to, more questions arise, causing her to wonder if Alexander is who he says he is. It should have been one of the happiest times in their lives, but the darkness still loomed, threatening everything they fought so hard to overcome.
Now Krystina is faced with a terrible decision: go against Alexander in order to save him or sit idly by and watch as his world shatters around him. For her greatest battle was the very thing their relationship was founded upon. Trust.
The heart-wrenching and seductive story of Alexander and Krystina concludes with Set In Stone, the powerfully moving finale to The Stone Series.

Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato #1) by Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus
5 out of 5 stars
This is the second book that I have read by this author and I loved it. I read Sons of Sindicato which had me hooked with this dark mafia read that I couldn’t stop reading that I read it all night long. The characters are strong willed and well written. This book contain danger, secrets, suspense, and a few plots plot twists.
Mila Blanc hated being the Mafia princess she used to be so she ran and became a super model. But now she misses her best friend the man she shared her every first with but most of all, she misses her old self. The problem is she is too proud to admit she was wrong.
Dane Giordano has watched for the last 11 years the only woman he is ever loved to forget him. As the years gone be he has, grown crueler by the hour, and the love they once shared has transformed to hate.
Now Mila is back and she wants to take her rightful place beside Dane but will he make it east for her? Can they learn to trust each other again? Will Mila prove herself? Can they look past their past mistakes?
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for book3.

Moonlit Kiss : A Venice Romance is the second novel in the Moonlit Destination Series by Amy McKinley. This novel takes you to Venice and to Rome all in one novel. The love story is just so touching it makes the reader believe in true love. A mystery as to who two of the characters play out over time and when they meet each other again, it’s like they haven’t lost a day. Amy McKinley is a wonderful and talented author. Every time I pick up on of her novels, I know that I’m in for a treat. This novel can be read as a standalone. I do recommend this wonderful historic modern romance.

Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn is the fifth book in the Chase Security Series. These can be read in any order but I highly recommend reading them in order, because the various characters make appearances throughout. This book focuses on Wes “Alamo” Crockett, who is now in charge of the Training Center in Virginia. He’s coming off of a mission in New York and not feeling spectacular. The exciting part of his new assignment is the Equine Training Center for disabled veterans. Eleanor West is the lead on the new equine center and has her own past to bear. I really enjoyed both characters and the storyline. Eleanor was relatable and made me want to hug her. I really wanted the best outcome for her as well as Alamo. These books are full of action, suspense, and of course romance. This book didn’t disappoint and left me wanting more like the rest of the series. I look forward to reading more in this series and from the author soon.

Stepping Stone Audio Book by Dakota Willink is he second book the Stone Series. This is a direct continuation from book one so I would recommend listening to them in order. I thought this book was definitely better than the first – it felt like there a bit more to the story and I felt the connection to the characters a little more. Although I still found them to be flawed I could relate to them better and understood a little more why they acted in certain ways.
The author really did get a good balance in the story. I liked that it focused more on character development this time round and I though it made the pace of the book just right.
The narrators have done a good job of becoming the characters they were reading about. You could feel the switch between the two and they blended well. This is a good series and one that I have enjoyed.

This is the second book in The Stone Series. This an audio book and is just under 8 hours listening time. This story continues with Alexander and Kyrstina. Krystina has issues from a past experience and Alexander is harboring secrets. He knows that if he wants to win her back, he is going to have to tell her everything about his past. The sizzle between these two is something that cannot be ignored. I simply cannot wait for the third book!

This quick, addicting, emotional rollercoaster of a book hit me right in the feels-and I mean in all the feels. I was angry, cried tears of sorrow, cried tears of happiness, followed by more tears of grieving acceptance, then throw in a bit of intrigue, compassion, and more tears for good measure.
Amy wrote a fantastic book layered with genius plot lines so simply laid out and well executed that the story came out seamlessly. It seems strange to recommend a book about an abused woman on the run that seeks help from her deceased brother’s best friend (that has family ties with special ops) to overcome her abuse, secrets of the past, and dangers of the future; oh and let’s not forget that because the author plays expertly on your heartstrings, you’ll cry, a lot, but here we are The book was splendid.
Great books like this transport you to another place and allow you to see and feel what the characters are experiencing. They can even leave an impact on you and maybe remind you that life can be short so make it sweet. I’m so impressed with this author’s abilities, I can’t wait to binge read the next book in the series.

Moonlit Kiss : A Venice Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley
I have to admit that this is one of my favorite authors. The mix of romance and suspence is just so balanced. I just don’t want to put the book down. I am hooked from page one. The characters just come to life and I can feel as though I am right there with them. She really brings the locations into vivid reality.
I like how the chemistry between the two main characters is and how the drama unfolds around them. I also like how the book has a great balance. There is just enough suspence to keep you at the edge of your seat and enough romance to melt your heart. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Twisted Secrets-Riley, a grad student fresh out of a breakup: Xander, a Navy SEAL home on leave after a mission gone wrong. Through an accidental meeting at the coffee shop where Riley works, they quickly become inseparable. But things aren’t always as they seem. Someone is stalking Riley, while Xander is dealing with questions regarding his last mission. Can the two find out the truth before it’s too late?
Twisted Secrets is the first novel in a new series, Deadly Isles Special Ops. Xander and Riley are both very likeable characters and I was rooting for them the entire time. The development of their relationship was smooth and realistic, which I liked. The level of suspense and mystery in the novel was perfect and kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had it figured out, a new twist threw the story in a different direction. I loved this novel and will for sure read the rest of the series!

CAN’T WAIT TO READ MORE!! Twisted Secrets is the first book in the Deadly Special Ops series by Amy McKinley and she knocked this book completely out of the park! I for one am absolutely HOOKED and can not wait to read more about Xander and Riley!
I am dying to know what becomes of Xander and Riley and will their love survive all of the hits they have taken? Being in a military relationship is difficult but I am sure Riley and Xander can survive it with all that they have been through in their lives.

BRINK OF DENIAL (SONS OF SINDICATO BOOK 2) by SONYA JESUS AND CAM JOHNS
5 +++++ Stars
Holy Crap!! As I reached the end of this book I literally felt gut punched! This whole story is completely amazing and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading…but the end?!?! I fell off my seat and felt like I kept falling! This officially goes down as one of my favorite out of left field kind of moments..I had not even a slight inclination of what was going to happen.
These two authors are amazing by themselves but together they are explosive! You really really have to read the novella before this as it kind of runs at the same time and gives you information you need for this story. I’m not going into any details as it’s too hard to sum up without giving stuff away!
I have fallen in love with all of these people, and can not wait for the next part and also can not wait for whatever these two authors come up with next, and I do hope there are more projects they tackle together.
