This was a thrilling 5 star read, I was pulled in right from the start. The beginning has you thinking all hearts and roses until things come crashing down on Dane. All the plans he had made were all destroyed when he found a piece of paper.
We jump ahead to the present and Dane is still a very angry and scary man. Ever since his heart was torn out by Mila. Mila had wanted more for her life and she tried to get away from the family by moving away and leaving everything behind including the man she loved. When she finds herself in trouble she reaches out to Dane. Will he be able to help her?
She just needs a little more time and then she will come home. But when the man you still love “Hates you” how are you going to make him change his mind?
Overall this was a great read. The moments between these two were intense and very steamy at times. You could feel for both of them and you want nothing more than a HEA for them. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. The authors do a great job with their writing and you feel things right along with the characters. My heart was pounding along with Mila’s several times. I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

This is not normally my kind of book, but I liked it. The author’s portrayal of Mac was so sexy though. I love a confident alpha male! I loved the way Serenas mind worked. I loved how she considered inviting herself to the barbecue in the beginning. The suspense was great and I like the feeling of trying to figure out why so much was happening to her as it kept me turning the pages. It’s a great short read that I definitely recommend.
This is my first read by Ms. Dunn and I can say that I am very impressed, Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is a great read with lots of different elements in play. I was hooked on Ms. Dunn’s story within the first few pages and couldn’t stop reading until I had finished the book. Ms. Dunn gives us a suspense romance full of emotions, drama, intrigue, mystery and more. Her characters not only had brilliant descriptions, but she made sure that all of their emotions were in order for this story. Depending on your background this book can contain triggers for certain scenarios and emotions, but over all Ms. Dunn does a beautiful job of telling a foster kid story. This story was so wonderfully descriptive and detailed that I look forward to reading more from this author.

I found myself unable to put this book down as I was hooked from page one by the romantic and suspenseful storyline. Set in Italy the author really bought the cobbled streets and waterways of Venice to life with her detailed and descriptive narrative, and I felt as though I was there with the main characters. Artist and conservator Gianna Bellini leaves on the first flight to Italy when she gets her dream job in Venice, to restore and complete a century old fresco painting. She develops a relationship with a native Venetian, Sergio Vitale after he rescues her when she trips at a cafe by a canal. Gianna asks Sergio for his help in discovering the unfinished design when she finds a panel of the fresco painting is missing.
The longer Gianna is in Venice the stronger the feelings of familiarity that she’s been experiencing become and she starts to believe that she has been to Venice before but not in her lifetime. When she starts having vivid dreams and hear’s haunting whispers she’s even more convinced that she has a connection to the floating city and to the mystery of the unfinished fresco. Sergio is determined to help Gianna uncover the mystery and wants to ensure that they have a future together. I loved Gianna and Sergio as they were both very likeable and relatable characters. The chemistry between the couple and how their relationship developed was very natural and realistic. The storyline had the right mix of romance and suspense and the plot kept me gripped from start to finish. Although part of a series ‘Moonlit Kiss’ can happily be read as a standalone story and I definitely recommend this engaging read.

Bound by secrets is a page turner and worth more than 5 stars. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the story line. Kayla’s in a bad relationship having only one option… Run, she heads home and comes face to face with her past, Jaxon. Jaxon and Kayla are perfect for each other and are still so in love. Will the secrets of the past keep them apart or bring them back together stronger than before. The villain in the book was a twist I didn’t see coming and was shocked when it was revealed. I can’t wait to read the other books by Amy Mckinley.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up Red Coat by Isobella Dunn for an afternoon in the sun by the pool. I was so engrossed in this book though that I quickly found myself with a bit of a sunburn and a book hangover. This was quite the enthralling read and I was completely taken away into Sara’s world. She made me want to reach in and hug her and Rachel several times. This book really was layered with elements of romance and mystery but also brought drama and coming of age in as well. I enjoyed the way Dunn balanced the heavy and made it feel as if you were able to enjoy it in any setting, like I said I enjoyed this by the pool but also could have found myself enjoying this under the blankets on a cold rainy day. I look forward to seeing what else might be available by Isobella Dunn and what may come next.

After reading Sons of Sindicato I had high hopes for this book, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.
I did not like Mila at all, and she didn’t grow on me throughout the book, in fact, I think I liked her less the more I read.
Mila and Dane grew up together, were extremely close and were expecting to stay together, but the way she blind sided him and abandoned everyone without any explanation just didn’t make sense. How could nobody know anything about it. The way she kept him hanging on for 11 years was disappointing. I really couldn’t understand how he would still be interested, especially after all the attention and problems she puts on the families. The only reason she came back was because she had to after everything came to light, not because she could no longer stay away from him. I just couldn’t see the love in the relationship, I’d was all about sex and control. I would have liked to have seen more tender moments, where it looks like they might actually care about each other.
What I did really enjoy were the conversations between Seth and Dane. I loved their relationship and the chats they had.
I enjoyed the sindicato storyline, there were lots of things going on to keep track of, but they also all interweaved with each other.
Sister Gia also came into her own a lot more in this book. She’s no longer the little girl being kept sheltered at home.
The ending was very unexpected and will create a ton of problems for the family going forward.

Brink of Denial is the first full length book in the Sons of Sindicato series and follows the prequel novella Sons of Sindicato. It is a dark and twisted Mafia romance by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns. They are new authors to me with this series but I’m absolutely loving it so far and will definitely read more from them. We first met Dane in the novella as he played quite a major part in his brother Seth’s story. We are also given a bit of the background of Dane and Mila in the novella. In saying that, you could read this book without having read the novella as the author’s do a fantastic job of making sure all necessary information is included for you to fully understand this story. I absolutely loved Dane and Mila’s story. It’s a classic second chance romance with the added bonus of it having a mafia setting. Having been sweethearts since childhood, Dane was gutted when Mila left to pursue her modelling career just as he was about to propose to her. Now she’s back and she wants Dane back but although he is still in love with her, he’s not willing to let her break his heart a second time. The characters are very well written and at times you love Dane and at times you want to slap him for being so cruel to Mila. The story is gripping and the added Mafia family feuding makes this a definite page turner that will make you drop an ‘F’ bomb when the authors take the story in a direction you will not see coming. A definite 5 star read.

Second book of the series and it start off strong. Dane annoys me so much his character is frustrating as hell. Mila can be frustrating as well and obnoxious. There is always danger awaiting these to with the mafia in tow watching everyone’s moves.
Mia does not want her old lifestyle but the past alwsys has a way of catching up with you right. Can Dane be understand about her past?

Holy..Holy Smoke! This story just blew me away and left me wanting more! It’s a total mind-blowing story. I couldn’t put this down and when I did I couldn’t wait to get back to it. Just to find out what would happen. My emotions have been all over the place.
The characters just held me enthralled and I became immersed in their world. I go from loving them to wanting to smack them on the back of the head….saying idiot! I enjoyed their depth, emotions and honor. I love the mafia element. It makes some things expected but others are complete shocks. I loved getting to know these characters. I don’t have a favorite because Mila and Dane are hoth wonderful. Gia…well I wonder about her. Seems she was going to do something but then the idea just dropped off the face of the earth never mentioned again. I mean they were busy but a slight mention would have been good. Maybe at the party Dane could have cornered her at the beginning.
I did have some problems with Chapter 22. I felt some parts were missing and even backtracked thinking I could find it. Mila went to talk to Dane but never did because someone else was there and a distraction occurred. So in Chap 22 Dane is talking like he knows all everything…I mean everything that she was supposed to tell him plus a bit about Nico. I felt like I missed the telling or it was assumed that she told him?
Overall this is much improved from the first of the series. This has more depth to the story as well as the characters. There are references and some of this story takes place at the same time as book 1/prequel in here so for less confusion it is helpful to read that. I do Love this story and can’t wait for more!

I definitely got some Fifty Shades of Gray vibes from this book. BUT it is also different Kristina is a much more complex character with some depth and layers. Alexander is yummmmm with a capital YUM.
What I loved most about this is that Kristina isn’t the sweet innocent character you would expect, she also has a complicated past.
My only critique is that I struggled with the female narrator’s voice when she did the other characters. But it doesn’t take anything away from the story.

This is the second book in the Sons of Sindicato series and just like the first it’s about loyalty, being true to who you are, and being with the right person even if that love takes a long time. The love in this one sure does take a long time and honestly, there were moments where I genuinely felt like pulling out my hair at the dopiness of some of the characters. Still, it’s well written and an interesting read. Mila Blanc has left behind her old life and old love to pursue bright lights and fame, but n the quiet she finds herself pining for all that she had left behind, especially Dane Giordano. He meanwhile has not been able to get Mila out of his system and slowly that has festered into something that looks a little bit like bitterness and hate. When Mila returns, determined to gain back everything that she rejected before, Dane is determined that she will prove herself and he doesn’t make it easy. But Mila isn’t a pushover either. It’s an interesting read, well written in a way that gets your right in the feels. Even if the feels are frustration at the complete obliviousness of the characters. Still, it’s well worth a read and for anyone that loves hot and steamy sexual tension then this is the book for you.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to reading when I picked up this book, the synopsis didn’t give too much away and the author is new to me – but I like to step out of my comfort zone at times so I thought I would give it a go and I really wasn’t disappointed at all. The story had so many different layers to it and I thought I would have found it confusing but the author did an amazing job with it. The characters were really interesting to read about and my heartstrings were definitely pulled a few times throughout. I did find myself invested in the characters, their lives and stories and it had this real feel about it. It was definitely surprise read for me and one I would absolutely recommend!

I absolutely loved listening to this book the narrator did an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life. I found myself so caught up in the story I didn’t get much else done. This is a Erotica Romance that once you jump in theres no stopping. Alexander Stone is a Real Estate Tycoon who is in control of all things especially women. Krystina Cole is a marketing grad and holy cow she is a firecracker and I instantly loved her. She’s fierce and he attitude watch out. . .You guys I don’t want to give up to much juicy details other than These two is fire! This audiobook was just okay for me. There were some things I enjoyed and some I flat out didn’t. 3 stars because it kept me entertained, and the beginning and end were enough to have me seeking out book 2.
I enjoyed the first few hours of the audiobook, being introduced to recent college graduate Krystina “Kris” Cole, and her (literally) falling for Alexander Stone, a Billionaire who was interested in buying the property housing Krystina’s job, Wally’s supermarket. I also enjoyed the last two hours of the audiobook, hearing Krystina opening herself up and accepting more of the relationship, and trusting Alexander, until it all went to hell (of course). The sex scenes, the few there were, were hot and sensual.
I found Alex to be a tough Protagonist/love interest to like. He may be written as a Dom but I didn’t feel that he was actually supporting Kris in discovering the BDSM lifestyle and “training her” as a sub. His internal monologue stated numerous times that the Dom/sub relationship didn’t work without trust and honesty, yet he withheld so much from Kris so that the relationship already faced an uphill battle.
I thoroughly enjoyed the narrators for this audiobook. I thought both Lacy Laurel and Jeffrey Kafer did a wonderful job.
This is book one in a series, so beware the cliffhanger. It was enough to keep me reading the series though, and as of about 25% in, I enjoy 2 a whole lot more than 1.

I was drawn to Red Coat, just from the cover art. I have never read anything by Isobella Dunn, and this seems like it might be her first book, which is amazing. I loved this book. I got hooked in the first couple pages, reading about Sara and her teen troubles. We then come across Rachael, whose story seems to mirror Sara’s. I am a sucker for the pull at your heart strings stories of foster care. Rachael’s path and Sara’s intersect when she is caught running away from her foster home, and Sara is called in on the case. By the time it got to that point, I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down. Dunn has a great writing style, and I fell in love with most of the characters. I say most, because I didn’t love Colin- I found him a little pushy, but he also had a incredible sweet side. All the supporting characters played a big role, and the book was a good balance. There was a little bit of hoping for a happy ending for everyone, and sitting on the edge of your seat in fear of what is to come. It was a little more suspense filled than I expected, but I was not disappointed. Highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I think novellas should be illegal. I was on the high from Brink of Denial and expected the same lengthy and delectable story. Delectable it was, lengthy it was not. Sonya and Cam- I was disappointed concerning the length of Seth and Shaw’s story. I wanted a detailed experience of their relationship/connection as opposed to getting an overview. Short, spicy, steamy, and savoury are the themes for this novella. Do not make the mistake I did by reading Brink of Denial first. Sons of Sindicato did a wonderful job of piquing the reader’s interest and introducing them to the world of Sindicato. It gave me a taste of the exciting, fast-moving, and creative writing of the dynamic duo, Sonya, and Cam. Kudos to the heroine, Shaw, for holding her own is not one but two distinct situations. A woman with a backbone will always be appreciated in my book. #GirlPower

Drama. Suspense. Intrigue. Whew! This book has all that and then some. A page-turner- I enjoyed the dark and scandalous complexity of the storyline. The plot is brilliant and engrossing. I appreciated that the heroine took the opportunity to find herself, made mistakes and figured out what she wanted and not necessarily what others dictated. I felt that there were three subplots within the story, one concerning Dane, another Mila and the third with them finding their way as a couple. It was not messy or confusing, all three subplots gave way to the smooth transition of the big reveal (I did not see that coming!). The sarcastic humour and witty comebacks added extra layers to this novel. I wholeheartedly recommend this novel.

I was excited to see what the fifth book in the Chase Security Series would bring and it did not disappoint! While you could read this book as a standalone I would highly recommend this series be read in order as they all build really well together and do tend to overlap at times here and there. I really love the way they layer the romance with intrigue and danger leaving you wanting more each and every single time. This one brought us the ever exciting story of Wes and Eleanor. These two will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as you try to figure them out and the drama that surrounds them as the story unfolds. I cannot wait to see what we will get with the next book!

Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley is a part of the Moonlit Destination Series. Amy McKinley does an outstanding job with her strategic storylines. Her descriptive vocabulary grabs me from the first word until the last word in the book. Her characters are fully developed and complex in nature. This book is about Gianna and Sergio. Gianna gets her dream job and moves to Italy. She will be restoring an old painting. She meets Sergio by accident in a canal-side cafe. She notices a panel missing in the painting she is restoring and she goes to Sergio for help. Gianna is living in the past while Sergio is trying to have a future with her. Can Gianna find her panel? Will Sergio have a future with Gianna? I highly recommend this story and all of Amy McKinley’s books.

Another excellent read from this author. This book can be read as a stand alone but, I would highly recommend the full, destination series, they are all amazing in their own way. I really enjoy a story set in a different country than my own, reading about Venice, Italy really has me wanting to go. The way the author writes is so fun, this story was a romance between Gianna and Sergio but also romances of the past. The stories were intertwined nicely and I really liked Gianna, and the fact that she lands a job in painting restoration in Venice, it sounds like a dream come true. Watching her relationship with Sergio grow is everything and the mystery that involves the two of them makes the book that much more interesting. I really enjoy when a book has another element an is not just strictly romance. I am loving this series so far and can’t wait to see what is in store next.

BRINK OF DENIAL (SONS OF SINDICATO BOOK 2) by SONYA JESUS AND CAM JOHNS. OMG I LOVE this book! This is one of my favorite series and this book did not disappoint. Its the story of Dane Giordano who is the son of one of New York’s biggest mob bosses and he is as powerful as they come. Mila Blanc is the daughter of the other biggest mob boss in New York City but has given up the Mob life years ago. She and Dane have been together since they were 15 and he’s planning on asking her to marry him. The night before he proposes she breaks up with him to leave for LA to be a model. Once there she realizes that she misses Dane and her friends at home. When a guy Mila used to date starts blackmailing her she goes to Dane for help. Dane will help her but he’s also dealing with a mole in the family and he’s trying to figure out who is setting them up. When Mila tells Dane she wants to be his wife he will make her work for it. Will Dane stop Tyler from blackmailing her and will Dane find the mole before its too late. Read Brink of Denial to find out, you won’t be disappointed!

l liked this story however I found it a very slow place. The voice over in this audio unfortunately didn’t do it for me I could not hear there passion. Sarena is a strong, independent unqunie lady. Its quick and witty but I feel thier could of been more substance to this book hopefully this is increased in the next book.

This book has every thing you should want in a fast paced military/police romance, hot police officers, alpha male tendencies, curvy strong women and a situation that forces them to face a future they didn’t envisage. However it just didn’t quite pan out for me.
Marcus is SWAT officer, convinced his lifestyle isn’t suitable for relationships. Sarena is a strong willed ER nurse who would love to find the right man a settle down. The two are neighbours who have been keeping an eye on each other, but neither makes a move, until Marcus walks up to Sarena and tells her he’s going to sleep with her and she says OK. There is no build up or flirting, it’s literally the first conversation they have.
I just didn’t feel any building up of a relationship with these two characters, they went from instant sexual attraction, to ‘willing to die for the other’ in a matter of a couple of dates.
The book almost felt like it was in two parts. The first being an erotic romance, the second an action romance and I would have loved to have seen more of a merge.
I enjoyed the action element to the story and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into it, but the romance (or lack of romance), just fell flat to me.
The duel narration was good and really helped to move between the duel POV. I’d gladly listen to either again.

Red Coat by Isobella Dunn is quite an engrossing romantic suspense. The story is emotive, with intrigue, a little mystery, drama, and more. Sara has worked really hard to leave her past behind her. She works as a social worker who works within the foster care system as a way of ensuring other children don’t have to endure what she did. But when Rachel is brought into the agency for running away again, things take a dramatic turn. Sara can’t help but see herself in Rachel and wants to help her, but things get complicated and Sara finds herself face to face with the past she left behind, with danger closing in. Well worth the read!
