Secure Her (Chase Security #4)Secure Her by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the four book in the series. The author still impress me with her writing style. She pays alot of attention to detail. Saoirse was not what I expected and this character drew on me as time went up in the book.

Auctioned (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 3)Auctioned by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Auctioned is the third book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. It can be read as a standalone.
Great read with some action, suspense, danger, and, of course, romance. Even though this book has the requisite steamy bits, I liked the story line more. It’s a fast-paced tale so it’s easy to get sucked in and read it all in one sitting.
Some readers may find the subject matter sensitive in nature.

Secure Her (Chase Security #4)Secure Her by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secure Her (Chase Security Series Book 4) by R.L. Dunn is another brilliant book in the series. I mean what can I say about this author and her Chase Security stories, other than get on board people, you will love them. The wow factor in this book makes it my fav to date. With dark and twisted unsavoury characters, human trafficking, violence and cruelty and everything thrown at operatives. It is bound to make not only them but you cringe as they are put thought their paces trying to stop the evil that is every bit as real in this world today as it is in the story. Needless to say emotions run deep.

Zach a Chase Group undercover operative is thrown together with Saoirse an Attorney and Federal Agent that knows nothing of the life she is thrust into. Zack must teach her everything he knows and keep her alive.

Hacker (The Mercenaries Series) by Nadine Travers – Review by Karyn Taylor

Hacker (The Mercenaries, #2)Hacker by Raven White
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hacker is the 2nd book in the Mercenaries Series by Nadine Travers. Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. When I read this book I didn’t realise that there had been a book before it and did not feel that I was missing any necessary information. Although having now read Hacker, I’d love to go back and read Renegade’s story.
This is a really great, well written, free flowing book that keeps the reader engaged from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the end. The story is packed with content and will drag you through many emotions.
Chris ‘Hacker’ Montgomery is unable to forget the girl he met 6 months ago who subsequently vanished so what happens when Marie appears and asks him to protect her and her sister from their mafia father?
I thoroughly enjoyed Hacker and Marie’s story. They are both great characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and want them to have their well deserved HEA.
This is not all flowers and romance, This book is packed with action, danger, intrigue and mystery. The romance part is just a nice added extra.
If you like a mafia romance with a bit of a difference then this book is for you. I really can’t wait to read more from this series.

Secure Her (Chase Security #4)Secure Her by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the Chase Security Series. And this book is just as gripped as the others. The author does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and with the mixture of romance and danger they make for a compelling read.

Zach “Ice” Wentworth is head of Domestic Law Enforcement for Chase Security. After losing an operative in the field he should be on leave. However a case has come in and he is the man with the expertise and experience for the job.

Saoirse Kennedy arrives looking for Zach’s help. Women and undercover operatives are dying trying to break a trafficking ring. She is the next operative that is being sent in.

Zach needs to train Saoirse in the art of being a submissive. She needs to fully embrace that lifestyle and understand the meaning and relationship between a dominant and the submissive if she is going to pull this off.

Can Saoirse learn all she needs to? Will she be able to fully embrace the role? Can Zach stop the lines becoming blurred between personal and business? And will he teach her well enough to save her life?

Hacker (The Mercenaries Series) by Nadine Travers – Review by Angela Shirley

Hacker (The Mercenaries, #2)Hacker by Raven White
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Chris had thought all his dreams had come true, he had a sexy woman in his bed and although they had only just met he felt something between them but in the morning she was gone. Can he carry on with his life not knowing if that could have been something?

Chris has spent most of his professional career behind the keyboard and has got the nickname “Hacker”, but on a night out all that changes when he meets Maria. They end up in bed together and he feels like his world is finally complete until the morning light brings the foreboding realisation, she is gone with no way of contacting her.

After six months of searching everywhere she is a ghost and when he feels he needs to give up the ghost she comes crashing into his life with one scared phone call and then shit gets real.

Maria is brave and strong but her family is slowly chipping down the resistance she has built up, but one action will rock the world she lived in or survived in and she wants out. The only person she can think to help her walk out on him six months ago will be the man she hopes he is and helps her leave the world she hates but she needs to protect her sister as well, will he help them both?

OMG is all I am saying at the moment, let me breathe. I loved this story if you have not already realised, the characters were brilliant both flawed but still had love to give in their hearts. The relationship between Chris and Maria was brilliant, the initial reaction was pure lust but as they got to know each other and their relationship built up you got to see the smouldering passion and love building was just brilliant to read.

This is a well-developed story full of action and grit to get your teeth into. I loved that the rest of the secondary characters were invested within the mission and that their loyalty to each shone through within the writing. Whenever there is a strong leading woman sometimes the author goes overboard with the hung go attitude but I felt that the character of Maria had just the right amount of vulnerability to make her believable and someone you wanted to route for. As this is my first book by this author this book can be read as a stand alone but I am definitely going to read the first book in this series and can’t wait for more books to come out in this series. Thank you for inviting me into your wonderful world and may it continue.

It’s been a long time since I struggled to review a book, I sat here for ages trying to think of the words to do this story justice and I really cannot find them. Auctioned is hands down my favourite read of 2021! I already knew I would love it because I love this author but I was completely hooked from beginning to end – I almost wish I hadn’t read it because I would love to go back and read it again for the very first time. I 100% adored and loved Damian – he was everything I wanted from his character and more. The chemistry between him and Bryanna was off the charts! I loved reading about them and wanted more after the story had ended! There was so much to this story that I was so invested in it and the characters. A truly beautiful read.
I cannot recommend this book and the series enough – they are all amazing reads and I just completely adore this author and her amazing writing!

Hacker (The Mercenaries Series) by Nadine Travers – Review by Lisa Helmick

Hacker (The Mercenaries, #2)Hacker by Raven White
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second in the series. In here we meet Hacker and Marie. There is a ton of action and some crazy times. I wanted to love this but Hacker seems flat. Some working background would be wonderful. See him at his job and bonding with the team. He is deemed a computer expert but nothing is shown in here to that aspect other than at the gunfight he seems to want to “talk” the others down. Marie is a mafia princess treated like dirt. About to be sold off for marriage she asks for help from Hacker. She wants to fight for her rights and does show some moxy later in the book. Her personality does a 180 deg turn that threw me off. Then the ending confused me as to why they both are doing nothing.

Overall this has some good points and is a quick story. It covers the action well and throw in mafia mentality. It moves along at a fast pace that easily keeps my interest. I wish the characters were more well developed so that I could *like and feel* them.

This book hits on a major issue in our country, Human trafficking and some possible outcomes for some of the women involved. Luckily Bryanna is saved by Damien and his team. Bryanna and Damien’s story is must read. So if you need a good read for a rainy day or just any day get this book.

This novella did not disappoint! It may have been a quick read but I am impressed with how much Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns fit in this story. The blurb had me intrigued. Attorney involved in a murder? Attorney in love with someone in the Mafia? I started reading and between the steamy romance between Seth and Braelynn and the Mafia action I didn’t stop until The End.

This is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading from the beginning. I enjoyed this book and it is one of my favorites by this author yet. This author continues to impress me with her writing skills and attention to details. Her stories are well written and have characters that are relatable. This book is no different. This is a story that kept me engaged and is fast paced to the end. Zak is head of the domestic law unit Chase Security. On his last mission he lost one of his female Subs which he is determined to never do again. What will happen when Saoirse walks into his office asking for help. This is where the part of the story could be a trigger for some but if you can get past it, this truly is a great story. What happens next with the human trafficking case you will have read this book to find out. You don’t want to miss the twists and turns in this story. Both are great characters that made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book. I have read all of this author’s books, this one is one of my favorites yet. One of the things I love most about this author is her ability to pull me into the story from the beginning. Her characters are relatable and make the story feel realistic. This story is no different. It is a well written story which has attention to details that kept me not only engaged but turning pages fast to the end. This is Damian and Bryanna’s story. Their story is one full of action, steamy romance and a fight for life. I loved their chemistry and watching them grow throughout the story. Damian is assigned a new case to find Bryanna who has managed to get caught in trafficking. But as he will soon find out this is not a simple or easy case. Will he be able to save her from her fear or will the desire they have be enough to save her? This is truly a great story that I highly recommend reading. This story has a little bit of everything that you don’t want to miss.

Secure Her
Chase Security Series
Book 4
By R. L. Dunn
☆☆☆☆☆
Be prepared for this one. Full length novel that is action-packed suspenseful romance.
Not for those unter 18, due to adult content. While this could be a standalone, I recommend you start with Book 1 to get familiar with all of the characters. It will be worth your time to get caught up with the characters.

This is Zach and Saoirse’s story. Zach ” Ice “Wentworth works with Chase Security. Returning to work after losing his partner. While working on an undercover mission that went wrong. Saoirse Kennedy is a US Attorney who is about to go undercover in a human trafficking ring. Both are strong in their work as well as their personal life. No Spoilers here, but all is about to hit the fan.

D. L. Dunn has written this suspenseful story. It will keep you reading until the book ends. You will go through all of those emotions while reading this story. The characters will become a part of your heart. Zach is hard core strong, but Saoirse is even stronger. This story left nothing out and the suspense is rollercoaster worthy. Well done D. L. Dunn! Well Done!

Forbidden Mafia Romance. Braelynn is a defense attorney and one of her biggest clients is the Giordano Family, the heads of the Sindicato. This is how she met Seth who no only being a client is now her lover. Which is breaking the rules on so many levels.
I do need to through a trigger warning here. There are acts of attempted rape and murder as well as sexual encounters throughout this book.
This book is good and will draw you in and hold you. The things this couple has to go through and do for one another will shock you.

Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus are dynamite when they team up. This short novella was jammed to the rim with all the goodies I love in a thriller romantic read. I loved how fast this read but still made me feel as if I had a full length read when I finished, and that I had it stick with me for a very long long time. I loved Braelynn, a kickbutt lawyer with her own skeletons in the closet. She has a secret that she hides well though and things may get complicated when her life collides with Seth, a mafia boss that will make you drool. They are fabulous characters separate but together they ignite your kindle as you read. I can’t wait to see what will come next from these two.

This is definitely my favourite of the series, so far.
I don’t want to give too much away and spoil it for you, plus the blurb does a better job of whetting your appetite than I ever could- but I recommend going in a bit blind and letting the author, characters, and story surprise you.

Hacker: The Mercenaries Series Book 2 by Nadine Travers

I had a busy week and weekend but all I could think about was getting a chance to sit and read this book.   I couldn’t get this story out of my mind and wanted to know what will happen next and finally stayed in bed as late as possible to relax and read this book.

This book has some humor, romance, steamy moments, suspense and then the ending which I was quite pleased with.

I felt a connection to Marie, especially with her relationship with her little sister.  The age difference between her and her sister are the same and the need to take care of her was also there.  She would do absolutely anything for her sister even if it meant she would never find her happiness.

Hacker was a lot more than I would expected.  Normally guys who are connected to their computers do interact with people very well but Hacker seems to not have that issue.

I cannot wait for the next book, wonder which guy falls next.
