Sons of Sindicato by Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus brings us into an intense world filled with wonderful, strong characters and creates an interesting foundation for what I think is going to be an amazing series. In this peak into the mafia world of the Sindicato we meet Seth, the son of the head of the Sindicato, and Braelynn (also known as Shaw), a young strong lawyer who after defending Seth has fallen for the powerfully intense and of course extremely hot man. After months of seeing each other secretly events bring their relationship out into the open and force them to face up to weather they are a couple meant to last or if pressures around them will be too much to bear. This is definitely a very exciting first step into this series and i personally can’t wait to read more!!! please keep them coming!!!

Elusive: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 5) by Via Mari – Review by. This is the 5th book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series and I loved it! Via Mari is one of my favorite authors so I knew it would be amazing. You can read it as a standalone but I think you will enjoy it much more if you read the series. These books are full of danger, sex, hidden agendas, intrigue and romance. Of course this book is no different. This is Alexis and Sheldon’s story and Alexis find herself in a dangerous situation dealing with sex traffickers. Sheldon is determined to protect her no matter what it costs him. This book if full of romance and hot scenes so be prepared. I read it in one setting because I couldn’t put it down. Will Sheldon end up protecting Alexis or will he get hurt trying to protect her? Sheldon is my new book boyfriend! Read Elusive to see what I’m talking about!

This novel lives up to its name. The sexual tension is through the roof! I love the world this series is set in. This time bodyguard Sheldon is trying to hold himself back from pursuing hairstylist Alexis, as he believes she is not a woman who can be a willing and obedient submissive in, but more importantly outside, of the bedroom. Alexis is attracted to Sheldon but isn’t willing to put herself out there without him showing he cares about her first. And in the background is the lingering threat of a man who couldn’t take Alexis’s “no” for an answer. He has a criminal record and is connected to human traffickers. Will this threat keep Sheldon and Alexis apart or bring them closer together? There were some parts of this novel that went way to quick for my liking. Names and situations listed out that made it hard to follow who was doing what, and what was going on where. This novel is certainly more focused on the relationship between Alexis and Sheldon rather than what’s going on in the mafia world. The Dom/sub relationship and world of sex clubs and BDSM are more prevalent in this novel as well. I love that throughout this series the males may be Dom’s and involved with the mafia, but they actively combat human trafficking and support the survivors. While the FMC’s are submissive she’s not meek and willing to let the male(s) handle everything. The women are strong and have decided if they are willing to embrace their submissive side only for their Dom.

Is it really possible to go back to the one you left behind? Can he really accept you back into His loving arms? This book is just about that. Mafia Princess Milana left to get away from the insanity of the Sindicato life and pursue her dreams. But that means she has to leave the man that owns her heart behind. Fast forward to years later and she now knows Dane is what she wants. But did she burn that bridge to the ground? I enjoyed this book even though I wanted to hit both of the main characters. But this book was good and I am looking forward to the next in the series

This was fast paced, adventure story packed with action and twists. Mari was amazing as the lead female protagonist, strong and competent and so brave. Completely kick arse and I love that she was the one doing the rescuing. Set in the Columbian jungle, Mari is tasked with rescuing Chris in exchange for her freedom to live in the US and leave her old life behind. I didn’t realise that this was the second book in the series and so I am intrigued to read the first and any follow ups. I really enjoy McKinley as a writer and I felt that Regan Brown did a fantastic job of bringing her novel to life.

THE DEVOTED FAN (21ST Century Courtesan Book 5) by Pamela DuMond writing as P. S. DuMond. This is the final book in this amazing series and the conclusion was just as good as I had hoped. This is the story of Evie who used to be a high paid empath for men. They would pay enormous amounts of money to be with her and she healed many men but when she fell in love she couldn’t save him. When Wyatt died he left her with everything he had acquired. His millions, his homes, his dogs everything. She even has become really close with his brother. When Evie finally feels like she might be getting her happy back someone from her past shows up and tries to ruin her happiness. Will they succeed or will she finally end up happy with someone who has loved her a very long time. These books have so many layers and twists and turns that I really recommend reading each book slowly or rereading them which is what I did! You will not be disappointed if you read these books!

I was super excited for the next book in this series. And this was perfect. The author has an amazing talent of drawing you into her stories with the way she describes every little minute detail. You can tell that she certainly does her work based off the description of each character, items, and surroundings. I can visually imagine it in my head while reading her books. This was probably my favorite couple she has written about so far in her series. Their chemistry is so steamy yet as with all good stories there is always something standing in their way. If you are a fan of sexy, steamy, mystery and suspense then this is a great selection to read.

THE DEVOTED FAN (21ST Century Courtesan Book 5) by Pamela DuMond writing as P. S. DuMond
5 STARS
Is it really over?? Oh my goodness this series has had me wrapped since page 1 of book 1 and now I have finished book 5 and although I loved how this author ended this, I seriously don’t want it to be done.
I don’t think it is possible to read this series or this book out of order. This is a tightly woven series and each book plays off of the previous and right into the next. There are so many moving parts that in my opinion require these to all be read in order.
This was the perfect ending to this story, and I really wasn’t completely sure about anything until the very end. If you had told me this is where Evie would have ended up after reading the first book I would have thought you were crazy, and although I didn’t fully trust it, I was so so happy and completely fulfilled with how everything ended.
I can’t recommend this whole series highly enough… It is full of everything you ever want in a series. Danger, Love, Lust, Humor, Fear, Contentment, Steam, Suspense, Thrills, and edge of your seat reading most of the way.
I can not wait to reread this entire series, maybe more than once. A definite addition to my list of favorite series ever!
Many thanks to this author for a Uniquely Stellar Series!!

The Devoted Fan is the fifth book in the 21st Century Courtesan Series by Pamela DuMond writing as P.S. DuMond. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading you won’t want to stop. I’ve truly enjoyed this whole series but this one is my favorite yet. The twists and turns will have you turning the pages to see what happens next. Do you believe in Karma? Do you know how Karma works? Evie is about to find out what Karma is and can do. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Wow! The best book yet in this series! The Devoted Fan is Book 5 in the 21st Century Courtesan Series by P.S. Dumond. This time Evie is about to learn a lesson in Karma. Even though she was not able to help heal the first person that she loved she continues to push forward. This story just like the others is filled with page turning twists and turns. I was very impressed with this book. You will definitely learn that yes, there is a price to pay for EVERYTHING. All of the characters in this story are wonderful and bring this story to a life. This was quite a page turner and once I started I couldn’t put it down. I do suggest that if you haven’t read the first books in the series, that you do. Everything will make the most sense if you do. I have nothing negative to say about this series and every bit of high praise. I cannot wait to read more of this author and hope this series isn’t over.

Sons of Sindicato: Seth’s Novella by Sonya Jesus and Cam Johns was a great read! For such a short story, this one was packed full if drama, action, romance and suspense. I wasn’t sure how I would enjoy this book when I picked it up but I was very surprised! This book definitely left me wanting more. It didn’t end on a cliff hanger exactly, but it definitely leads up to a sequel. I can not WAIT to read the next installment soon!

Wow, this novella was a thrill ride! Murder, mayhem, and the threat of the law is in full swing in Sons of Sindicato.
I really enjoyed the introduction to the Giordano crime family and the power struggle they are having with the Rossi’s, another Sindicato family. I also liked the tension of when to follow the law and when to break it. Those here for the romance will be happy that there is enough spice to qualify as romance without it being overdone or distracting from the overall story.
Something that stood out to me in this novella is that despite the fact that the two main characters, Seth and Braelynn, and supporting cast already knew one another it isn’t a shock to be introduced the middle of everything that’s going on. I admit I’d love to know more of the backstory of the Sindicato as a whole, and from the preview of the next book it does seem we’ll get a peek into some of that.
Trigger warning for sexual assault and fictional murder.

I love a good mafia romance. This book though does have a triggering moment in it, was a nice intro into the Sindicato World. Seth is the son of the leader of the Sindicato family and falls for his leading lady is a criminal lawyer that got him off in more ways than one. This book is honestly a quick read with some unexpected turns. I think it took me about an hour to read. I am looking forward to seeing how things play out with this family. Luckily I don’t have to wait long as the new book was just released today.

Elusive is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. I recommend reading all the books in this series to get full enjoyment of this book. Via Mari did an amazing job as always grabbing me from the first page to the last page. It is a steaming romance. I am going to warn you that you may want to leave enough time because you may not be able to stop reading until the last page of this book. The characters are fully developed and relatable. This story is about Sheldon who is a bodyguard to Alexis. She needs protection from a trafficker. She is one handful for Sheldon to say the least. Will there be sparks between Alexis and Sheldon? Will Sheldon protect her from herself? I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens to Sheldon and Alexis.

Twisted Secrets Audio Book by Amy McKinley is the first book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. This is a brilliant book, a strong start to a series and made for brilliant listening. I found myself completely drawn in to the voice of the narrator. I found myself nervous about what was going to happen to the characters and intrigued by everything going on. I felt the emotions they went through and I was really made to feel like I was on the journey with them
The author has done not only a brilliant job in writing this book but also in choosing the narrator. Everything about it worked and really just made the whole experience better. I loved listening to this and I cannot wait to dive into the second book.

Elusive:Dark Millionaire Mafia Romance by Via Mari is the fifth book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. This is such a brilliant and intense series that somehow just seems to keep getting better. This book had everything going for it – amazing characters, strong chemistry and brilliant writing. It is fast paced and exciting from start to finish. The characters don’t have a typical start to their journey but it is one that hooked me immediately. Via Mari is an author I only discovered relatively recently but she has easily become one of my go to authors. Whenever I see a book with her name on it I don’t hesitate to give it a go and I am never disappointed. This is a fantastic series and one I would highly recommend!

I wasn’t prepared for this series to end. I wasn’t prepared for this book. And I mean both of those statements in the best possible way. The author has done an amazing amazing amazing job crafting this entire series. When you start, you think you might be unraveling one type of book when in essence you become sucked right into this world of unknowns and suspense without realizing it. The overall story is much more complex than you might initially expect. Just a well written plot with amazing characters. This book was the perfect way to wrap the series up – even if I am ultimately saddened that this is the end to this amazing series. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

After book. 4 in this series I was so excited to read the final book The Devoted Fan and it didn’t disappoint! I thought I had got everything worked out about what was going to happen but no the author definitely had some twists in store. I have loved this series and didn’t want it to end and I think it’s safe to say Ms DuMond has certainly saved the best book for last! After Evie’s injury at the end of the last book I was intrigued to see just who was out to get her and the author definitely kept me on my toes and me guessing throughout! I really like Evie and have loved reading about her!
Although this series is over, I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Braelynn Shaw is a defense lawyer defending the rich and the worst of society. She finds herself in deep when she commits murder. Will she get help from her secret lover? The book had me captured from the very start. I found at times I was holding my breath hoping beyond hope all will turn out for Braelynn Shaw. Although she committed murder I was cheering her on. The author has a way of making you feel compassion for the characters. I looked forward to Book 2 and getting to know the other characters in the mafia family.

I liked the idea of this book. I was eagerly ready to read it and get down to the nitty gritty. What I struggled with is the description of every little thing. There would be paragraphs of description then one line of dialogue. I am a person who need more dialogue. The descriptive is fine to set the scene but then let the characters be free to talk and move. Due to this the book seems to be way to slow. It picked up and got more interesting during the last half.
This is a cliffhanger and I wonder if that is why the story is slow. Basically filler to drag out the story for more books. Sorry I am not a fan of cliffhangers either.
As for the characters..Ramone has real promise. Strong and smart but not too smart. Katie is in a tight spot. Hopefully her character can get stronger and figure out how to break away. Carl is just exactly what someone would think when thinking of a crime lord.
Overall this is an okay book. I love the idea of the story. The characters are pretty spot on and solid. I would enjoy more dialogue and less minute by minute.

The Devoted Fan is the 5th and final book in the 21st Century Courtesan series by Pamela DuMond. I wouldn’t advise reading this series as standalones. It will read and flow better if read as a series in order. I have loved this series so far and couldn’t wait for Evie to finally get her HEA. I had hoped for a while that it would be with Wyatt but that was not to be. When Wyatt passed away I then hoped she’d find her true one in Wyatt’s brother Easton. Will Evie finally get a HEA? I really loved this book. Evie is troubled with coming to terms with Wyatt’s death and her growing feeling for his brother Easton. Although Wyatt did make it clear that this is what he wanted for Evie once he passed. There’s a lot of drama and intrigue in this book with ‘the devoted fan’ becoming more and more deranged and no longer ‘devoted’ placing Evie in a great deal of danger. This is a great book which ties up all the loose ends from the whole series, including long time boyfriend Dylan. It’s all brought to a dangerous and exciting conclusion that I was totally engrossed in. Loved this book and loved the whole series. Definitely recommend The Devoted Fan.

This is the first I’ve read by Melody Calder, and it didn’t disappoint! What a twisted world Katie lived in with a father like Carl. With her life in danger, Ramone is tasked with keeping her safe. He’s told not to touch, and expects it to be no issue because after all, Katie is just the spoiled princess daughter of the boss… right? It ends up being so so much more, and left me hanging! I’ll be back for the second book!

I found Sexy Drug to be a very character centered book. Melody Calder was able to draw my interest in with the constant turmoil within Ramone fighting his feelings and keeping the facade of a killer. Katie’s hatred towards her father runs deep, and she tries to thwart his control at every interaction. She Also has a deep-seated hatred as she suspects Carl’s right-hand Danny to be the one that caused her mother’s disappearance. What I found unique about the plot was that the assassin had a voice. Going by the name of K, he is determined to finish his mission or face a gruesome death at the hands of the unknown person that has hired him. The details of this book are gruesome, and I would caution anyone adverse to extreme violence and bloody death scenes to proceed with extreme caution. The ending was climatic and left off leaving me questioning the true motives of Ramone and Carl Rosemand. I also wonder if K is given another chance to kill Katie or if his botched sniper attempt has cost him his freedom. I can solidly give this a 5-star rating as the plot compliments the character development and kept my interest that I read the entire book in one sitting.

I had to go back and double check that this book was only 108 pages. I truly think that it takes a huge amount of talent to put so much “story” into just 108 pages. From the very first uncomfortable moment in Wexler’s office through all the tuff times and ooooo so sexy parts this book had me hooked. Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus make one dynamic duo of talent. The flow of the book is AMAZING. I’m extremely excited to see how these two continue their co-writing.

The Devoted Fan is the fifth and final book in the 21st Century Courtesan Series by Pamela DuMond. OMG!!!! I have been hanging out since we started this journey back in book one to find out how everything played out in the end!!! I read this book 3 times before I felt like I could put it aside and write my review. This has definitely been a bittersweet read for me- finally finding out how Evie’s story ends, but also knowing that this was the final instalment ☹ and sooooo not being ready to say goodbye quite yet. But having said that, I FLOVED the story!!!! Pamela DuMond has upped the anti, yet again, and wove a complex, multi-layered, suspenseful, and addictive delight!! I know I keep saying it, but this is just so ADDICTIVE!!!! I am in a such a book funk now because I’m not sure when or how I will get my next fix!!! I hope Pamela DuMond has something in the works for me to get my hands on sooooooon- but in the mean time, I will be re-reading this riveting series from start to finish- again. As the story continues from the previous books, I really do recommend reading the other instalments before starting on this one- as they contain lots of backstory, character introductions, twists and turns, and other important information which will enhance your reading experience of this book, and the series as a whole. I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth repeating again- this series is wonderfully original, with plenty of complexity, layers, intriguing developments, and clever interconnected details. Ms. DuMond weaves a rich and textured story with wonderful attention to detail and with a vividly descriptive quality to her scene setting, character creation, and story development. This book is dark, sexy, and very emotive- with plenty of danger, suspense, mystery, intrigue, and dramatic developments. It ties everything together beautifully making for a compelling read… I couldn’t, and wouldn’t, put it down until I had read every last word- devouring it in one sitting, before turning around and reading it again, and again. I am expectantly awaiting to see what Ms. DuMond does next! I can’t wait!!!! I need it like yesterday!
Thank you, Pamela DuMond, for such an addictive ride and giving us Evie and the 21st Century Courtesan series- one of my all time favourite reads!!!

S. DuMond – Review by Angela Hayes
When the glamour of fame dims down and the cameras stop shooting, Mila Blanc itches to be the Mafia princess she used to be. She misses her best friend—the man she shared every first with—but most of all, she misses herself. The problem is she’s too proud to admit she was wrong.
For eleven years, Dane Giordano has watched the only woman he’s ever loved forget him. He has hardened by the minute, grown crueler by the hour, and the love they once shared has transformed to hate.
So when Mila comes back during a turbulent time, ready to take her rightful place by his side, Dane doesn’t make it easy. To be his wife, she’s going to have to find herself again and prove she’s worthy of being a daughter of the Sindicato.
Dane is hard to love, but Mila is even harder to break.
Cam Johns began her career as a published author in 2016 with the release of her first book – Arousing Consequences – to the trilogy, The Arousing Series. However, actually publishing wasn’t part of her plan. After her husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she found writing became a great way to relieve the tension and mounted pressures that come with watching someone she loves suffer from such a harsh diagnosis. It was her husband that pushed her to share her voice, regardless of how erotic that voice would become.
Live. Love. Laugh. A well-known mantra that has become her way of living. Live, by accepting the things you cannot change. Love, the ones closest to you as if there’s no tomorrow. Laugh, each day because sadness will get you nowhere!
Sonya’s a nerd—a cool nerd—who loves science, books, make-up and unicorns. She even has unicorn slippers and unicorn plushes adorn her office. It’s not obsession (or so she says), it’s simply an ode to her imaginative side.
She believes in fairytales and in the beautiful things a mind can conjure. She’s a firm believer of empowering the crazy fictional ideas, putting them down on paper (figurative paper because she’s not a fan of writing in notebooks), and letting them flourish into a story. Sometimes that story is about psychos and murders.
Don’t believe me? Ask her in any of her social media. She’s all about those connections.

This was a good bad boy Romance that is the first book in the series. I enjoyed this book and was pulled in from page one. The story was well written and the characters were good. The chemistry between the MCs was spicyyy! I am looking forward to read more by this author in the future!
