Cannot be read as a standalone….

Steele Resolve is the sixth book in the Hawke family series written by Gwyn McNamee and it’s the final book in this series and I’m sad for this series to end. The characters are amazing and well developed and the storyline was great especially that it’s the last book in this series.

Luca “Steele” Abello isn’t just dangerous he is a mob boss and he’s lethal. He is a master manipulator, liar, and user, no one should trust a word that comes out of his mouth. But he has come back to New Orleans to clean his family name up. He even wants to make up with his friends/family the Hawke’s that he hasn’t seen in years. There’s a catch they don’t trust him. He kept going back, even though he is risking Bryon and his own if they continue their indiscretion. The truth of what he is could get them both killed, but being with the man who’s such an integral part of the Hawke family is even more terrifying.

Byron Harris works for the Hawke’s. He didn’t know who Luca was until he walked into the club. He never should have let it go beyond that first night, but he couldn’t stay away. The only people he ever cared about are on opposing sides, and I’m the rift that could end their friendship forever.

I highly recommend this book/series. I hope we will see these characters in some other work by this amazing author…

I loved this book!! It was a romantic suspense that hit me right in the feels. The main characters are Sawyer and Juliette. Sawyer is the bad boy with a heart of gold and Juliette is beautiful mess that has been through more than anyone person should. The struggle these too go through is memorable and I was excited too where their story was headed. I would recommend this to a friend and I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Steele Resolve is the 6th book in the Hawke Family series. I have absolutely loved this series since book 1. This book does not disappoint in the character development and relationships they have with each other. I loved how Luca really found his way in the story. We get to see Byron receive his HEA. Although this story is a bit out of normal reading, I felt that this story did a great job at wrapping up Luca’s and the Hawke family’s conflict. Gwyn McNamee does a fantastic job of developing her characters and pulling in her readers right at the beginning. From the first page, I was pulled into the world that Gwyn created!

Steele Resolve was a thrilling 5 star M/M read and the 6th and final book in the Hawke Family series.

Byron has a hot one night stand with a man that he didn’t think he would see again. Until he walks into the bar to meet with the Hawkes. Byron is devastated to find out who Luca is. Luca is the son of the mob boss that is enemies with the Hawkes.

How will the Hawkes feel if they find out about his night with Luca?

Things get very interesting. Luca and Byron have such a hot connection you can feel it coming off the pages. This story is told in dual POV which I really enjoyed. This is a quick read that will pull you right in. This can be read as a stand alone but your really should read from the beginning, it will help you connect with the story better. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

4 Stars

This is book six in the Bayou Devils MC series. This series keeps getting better and better. This story can be read as a stand-alone but I highly suggest that you read the others as well. I loved every single one of them. A.M Myers has become one of my favourite authors. I love her style of writing. She knows how to pull you in and keep you hooked until the very end. Her characters are lovable and relatable. This book is no different.

Juliette was in a serious accident that took the life of her father and her memory of the last five years. Imagine waking up and not even recognizing your fiancé! As much as she tried, she felt too alone. Juliette decided to go back to the Bayou; back to a place she could remember that she called home. Her friend sent Sawyer to pick her up and the connection is instant.

Sawyer is another sexy, alpha biker with a heart of gold. He meets Juliette and the chemistry blows him away. Though he’s been through a slew of bad relationships, he knows Juliette is different. He also knows that she’s hiding something. After a few attempts on her life, Juliette is forced to come clean. To put it lightly, Sawyer was not impressed.

The story is filled with twists and turns, suspense and romance. I loved this book and believe you will too.

This book absolutely captured my heart from a engaging storyline to its wonderful characters I was hooked. This author has definitely taken readers on so amazing rides and every one of them has come alive right before my eyes. The characters are complex and relatable, I won’t be forgetting them anytime soon. The story is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee a five-star read that will tempt your resolve. This is number six in the Hawke Family series and it really is best to read them in order as you would kick yourself if you don’t, it’s that good a series, they are each like a petal of a flower, beautiful an powerful in their own right, but together a thing of beauty. Luca ‘Steele’ does the impossible and makes you fall in love with him even though he really is a man to be hated. I would recommend this novel to people who don’t read M/M as even though it’s a story about two men fighting for more than what happens between the sheets, it’s also a powerful love story that happens to feature two men falling in love, the rest of the story is so much more than what happens between the sheets. This is a deep and emotional story and one that you will enjoy for long after you finish the story.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee is a five star novel. I have loved every minute of reading the Hawke Family series and am so sad that it is now over! Please read the first books of this series before you read this one because the character development done in the first part of the series is crucial to really being able to enjoy this book in all of its gloriousness. Steele is part of the wrong side according to the Hawke’s but when one of their men fall in love with him, they know that something is about to change. Byron has been a part of the Hawke Family for years, taking care of them like he was born to do it. They have accepted him until his new secret is about to come out. He is t sure the Hawke’s are going to take it well and hopes that he will still have a job when he discloses this new information about himself. The biggest hurdle is that the man he fell in love with will be hard to be accepted by the Hawke’s because of their bad blood in the past. Continue reading this series to see how it will all come to an end!

Never Let Me Go by A.M. Myers is the sixth book in the Bayou Devils MC series. This book can be read as a standalone book however you will miss all the series build up, and simply a great series!
I really loved this book purely for the characters. The story was good and I got straight into it like always but it was the characters that really caught my attention. And held my attention. And didn’t want to let go even after the book had finished. I don’t know exactly what it was about them but I really felt like I could connect with them.
The book was fast paced and exciting. The story kept moving and evolving the whole way through. You could certainly never get bored reading one of the books in this series! I would highly recommend you give them a go.

I can’t even imagine what this poor girl is going through. I understand her wanting to go back to Baton Rouge. It’s familiar and comfortable. Luckily she hitched a ride with a gorgeous hunk of a guy. Sawyer is in the right place at the right time. To give a ride to the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen. Too bad he has sworn off relationship.

I loved the insta-attraction between these two. It’s like a lightning bolt between them. I can feel it coming off the pages! They are the cutest couple ever! Sure they both have some problems but together? They shine!

I have a issue with Juliette that is hard to let go of. Sometimes this alter ego seems to come out of Juliette. She is strong, brash and takes no crap. Then most of the other times she is sweet, trusting and just an all around nice girl. I thought it was her memories coming back that made her this way but it wasn’t. It was like a light switch turning on and off as needed. Maybe that should have been her dormant personality coming back along with the memories. Or maybe it was and I missed it.

The secondary characters are some we have seen before in past Bayou Devils MC books. Mercedes is a wonderful best friend. When Juliette calls all stressed and such. She doesn’t hesitate to figure out a way to bring her home. A bestie in the best terms.

This isn’t my first book by this author and it won’t be the last. I like how she draws me in and keeps me wondering what/who/ and how the finale will happen. Another Devil has fallen…I wonder who will be next?

This book continues my love affair with every book Myers writes. From beginning to end, this romantic suspense had me hooked. If you think MC novels are just motorcycles and mayhem, you have another thing coming. The book is full of fantastic characters, riveting plot development, and a universe you will dive into headfirst.

It can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading it in series order. Myers is a must-read do truthfully why wouldn’t you go ahead and read the rest?

I absolutely loved it and my only regret was that it ended at all.

This series is probably my favorite MC series. This author has a way hooking you into a story and not let you up. For real, things I needed to get done were pushed off just so I could consume this book!

Sawyer is the bad boy that make you salivate over. He’s one of those that you know could be bad for you but you find out his heart is 100% perfection!

Juliette has survived a horrific accident where so her memory and someone special to her. She is the epitome of perfection on the outside but the inside she’s so lost and alone. She decides she want to move back home and Sawyer was assigned to help her out.

The chemistry between these two characters burn off the pages. I have loved this series for a while. It has everything you would want in a romance and more!

5 out of 5 stars

Never let me go is the sixth book in the Bayou Devils MC series written by A.M. Myers and I have read every book in this series and I love it… The characters are amazing and well written and the secondary charcters with their quirky ways just makes this a great book. The plot is awesome.

Juliette Shaw has it all a thriving business, a beautiful home, loyal friends, and a gorgeous fiancé but she doesn’t remember any of it. After a horrific car accident steals her father’s life and five years of her memory, she is lost in a world she doesn’t recognize and is desperately searching for answers. Nothing feels right and behind each clue from her past are more questions, so she does the only thing she can do she runs home to Baton Rouge.

Sawyer Michelson, brother of the Bayou Devils MC, picks crazy girls so he is swearing off woman until he gets his stuff together. He looks intimidating as hell and a smart girl like Juliette knows better than to accept a ride from a stranger but there’s something about his deep blue eyes that puts Juliette at ease and pulls her in. He makes her heart race and the longer she spends with him, the more she discovers the sweet, funny, and loyal man beneath the mask. But even a thousand miles from home, danger seems to find her, leaving Juliette to wonder if it’s just bad luck or if she is in more trouble than she realized.
Is someone trying to kill Juliette? Can Sawyer find out who it is before it’s too late? Will Juliette and Sawyer have a happily ever after? You will need to read this story to find out.
You can read this as a standalone but I suggest you read the whole series…

I can’t believe this is it for the Hawke family saga! I am pretty sure that I cried simply from that very fact being realized when I completed the last few pages of this hot and delectable read. With that said this is part of a series obviously and really it could be read as a standalone, but I assure you will get spoilers to previous novels and a lessened enjoyment by doing so. This series has become a major favorite, probably one of my top three, and I couldn’t imagine not enjoying it all together. The Hawkes have become like a family that I know and so real! The way that Gwyn McNamee writes these characters truly spins them into your life.

Steele Resolve gives us the story of Luca and Byron. I loved these two! The chemistry between them is absolute fire hot enough to melt ‘steel’. Nothing they go through of course can be easy, making for delicious reading material and wonderful storylines that will keep you glued to your kindle until you finish the novella in one fell swoop. Don’t be concerned though that this is just a novella and that it will be shorting you on anything that you would get with a full length novel. Steele Resolve gives you the whole story and doesn’t skimp on any of the goods. While I am sad to see this family saga come to a close, I am super excited to see what other characters dwell in the mind of Gwyn McNamee and I Iook forward to each of their stories.

To better understand the entire storyline, you really have to read the previous books.
We have met Luca throughout the entire series and now we finally get to his story. Luca’s book is filled with hot, sexy, passion. Byron and Luca really get things heated up. You will not want to put this book down!!!!

A Hawke Family Story ending? Say it isn’t so!?! No matter, the story is still good. Better than good. Word of warning: This is NOT a stand-alone. It must be read in order or you won’t know anything that is going on or who the characters even are.

Looking at the number of pages, I thought it was going to be too short of a story…but then I realized that McNamee packs a lot of punch into all her stories! And Steele Resolve is no different.

This story, in fact I think this whole series, proves my point of you can’t help who you love and I love that. In the stories that I read and in real life. Byron is part of the Hawke family, they trust him, they love him. Luca aka Steele not so much. When these two get together the pages sizzle and burn!! Wow! Trust and love are two key elements for happiness. But throw in a little bad blood and some misunderstandings and you have yourself a pretty good story!

Looking forward to what else McNamee shares with us!!

Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee is sadly the last book in this great series. I suggest you read all the books in the series in order so that you get the complete picture and backstories of all the wonderful characters. I have come to love all of the characters in this series and am glad that Gwyn included Luca as part of the Hawke family. This sexy M/M romance is a story where it is bad enough being a mob boss without throwing being gay into the mix makes for one suspenseful and explosive story.

Luca has come home and wants back into the Hawke family that he had when they were younger but when your are the son of one of the most .mob bosses, you are by default just as bad as your surname. What he didn’t expect was to find the one person who could make his life complete.

Byron can’t stop thinking about the man he had just had a one night stand and when that person turns up for a meeting with the Hawke’s he realises just how much of a mess his life is now in. Will he reveal the truth to the people he sees as family or will he walk away from the best thing that has ever happened.

This story was so good I am sorry to see the series end but can’t wait to see what Gwyn has in store for us in the future.

I am so much in love with this series I can’t hardly stand myself. I want to go back and start from the beginning and read them all over again.

This one has me confused because in a sense it might just be my favorite in the series, but then at the same time not. I loved the story, I adored the characters, and Juliette might just be one of my favorite females leads ever. My problem lies with feeling like there was not enough of the club like in the other books. I missed that, I missed all the other people I have come to love and my only wish is that there was more of them and the MC involved. Don’t get me wrong, they were there but just not as involved as Im used to.

In saying that I loved the concept of this book, I kind of had suspicions at the very first lawyer visit of what might be happening but that didn’t matter because how it was all written was vintage AM Myers. I read it in one sitting and hated when it was over.

I can not wait for more from the Bayou Devils and truthfully just anything by this author. It’s an auto one click for me.

I think my heart may be officially broken! This series has been my all-time favourite ever written by an author I have absolutely come to adore! I will admit I am not a fan of m/m stories but I needed to read Steele Resolve because I knew I was going to finally find out about Luca! The book was very cleverly written running alongside timewise a previous on in the series. The dual POV meant I was fully able to understand the characters and their most inner thoughts and feelings – this meant in true Ms McNamee style some wonderful twists and turns appeared! The whole series was tied together with this story and I really was so sad when I realised that this was actually over. Byron and Luca’s story was so intense that I forgot that I was reading a m/m story after all love is love! Their story was truly captivating and I loved every second of it.
From the moment I read Savage Collision (book 1) I knew I had found an author to love and a series that would be amazing to read and it absolutely has been. That still remains one of my favourite books ever.
The Hawke Family series has truly been outstanding and I cannot recommend the books enough. Steele Resolve was the perfect final book and it deserves the 5 stars I give it!

I just can’t face that there will be no more Hawke Family books, and since there is a sentence after the end of this book that leads me to believe there will be something more in the future, I will hold out hope that we haven’t heard the last of them.

I’ve loved every one of these books, as well as anything this author writes, she is an immediate go to when I want a story that kind of makes me feel like I have come home.

This one was a bit tougher for me as I don’t normally choose to read this type of book but I had to in this case and just skimmed through a few parts and stayed completely focussed on the storyline. Luca was hard not to like, I think it’s because this author gave us insight into his thoughts. What he was dealt because of his crime fathers death was a struggle that he managed perfectly. I could see both sides of this and felt how hard it was on everyone. Luca grew up loving the Hawkes and thought of them as family. He is left with big decisions to make, ones that will affect everyone he loves..Will he get back all that he wants in life or lose absolutely everything?

This as usual was written beautifully and I highly recommend grabbing this whole series, none of this will make sense if you don’t have the whole story behind everyone in this book.

I see a reread of this whole series in my very near future!

The story Never Let Me Go (Bayou Devils MC Book 6) by A.M. Myers is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that I found to be awesome and amazing. I loved the storyline and reading about the characters of Juliette Shaw and Sawyer Michelson. Juliette is an intelligent, independent, and beautiful woman. She is overwhelmed by the fact that she can’t remember either the car accident that took her father’s life or the last five years. She decides that only action she can take is to run. Then she meets Sawyer. Sawyer is a man that is protective. He works hard as a brother in the Bayou Devils. Then he meets Juliette. There is a deep attraction and connection between Sawyer and Juliette. Danger seems to find Juliette. Are the incidents that happen just coincidence or is she in more trouble than she realized? What does the future hold for Juliette and Sawyer? Read this book to find out. This story at times had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. There are also romantic moments and scenes. I grew to care about Sawyer and Juliette with each chapter that I read and wanted them to find happiness. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth between them. There are additional characters that are introduced and some of them are helpful to Juliette and Sawyer. Then there are those with their own agenda. Don’t miss out reading a book that hooks you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. Highly recommended.

This is ACTION packed! I really loved this story! I think it’s my favorite out of the series so far. I love that the story moves forward continually. It is a constant flow from one stop to the next. No time to get bored! I loved seeing all these characters again. They are moving forward with their lives and it’s nice to see where they are at now. Cade, Janet, Anders and Dianne all have that danger element not to mention their friendship and love for each other. I want to mention I LOVED Hopes bodyguard. His name and his sense of humor. I look forward to seeing more of him. In the future.

This can easily be read as a stand alone. Reading the others in the series will enhance your enjoyment of this one but it won’t deter from it.

Sawyer Michelson, brother of the Bayou Devils MC, looks intimidating as hell and a smart girl like Juliette knows better than to accept a ride from a stranger but there’s something about his deep blue eyes that puts Juliette at ease and pulls her in. He makes her heart race and the longer she spends with him, the more she discovers the sweet, funny, and loyal man beneath the mask. But even a thousand miles from home, danger seems to find her, leaving Juliette to wonder if it’s just bad luck or if she is in more trouble than she realized.

Can Juliette recover her past and find answers or will she lose more than just her memories this time?

When I left everything behind to go nomad, I didn’t expect to run into trouble before I stepped foot in the clubhouse I was aiming for.

I didn’t expect to save a woman, not just once but multiple times.

I didn’t expect to pit myself against the US Marshals or another MC.

I’d just extracted myself from one relationship, I didn’t want another.

Sometimes what we get is what we never go looking for.

How this will work out, I’ve no idea. Would I survive on the outside, no longer being a member of an MC? Could I give up everything, even my identity to be with her? Or can I ask my brothers to step in and save us both?

Manda’s life’s always seemed a bit weird, starting with a childhood that even today she’s still trying to make sense of, then losing her parents in the late teens. Going from the tragic to the bizarre, who else could be unlucky enough to have had two car accidents, neither her fault, one involving a nun, and another involving a police woman?
There isn’t enough space to list everything that’s happened to Manda, or what she’s learned from it. But by using the rich fabric of her personal life, psychology degree, varied work experiences, and amazing characters she’s met, Manda is able to populate her books with believable in-depth characters and enjoys pitting them against situations which challenge them. Her books are full of suspense, twists and turns and the unexpected.
Manda lives in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the UK, the area’s claim to fame being the Wilkin’s Jam Factory at nearby Tiptree. She can usually find jars of jam which remind her of home wherever she goes. As well as writing books and reading, Manda loves walking her dogs and keeping fit. She lives with her husband of over 30 years, who, along with her son, is her greatest fan and supporter.
Manda is thankful that one of the more unusual, and at the time unpleasant, turns her life took, now enables her to spend her time writing. Confirming, in her view, every cloud has a silver lining.

Cult (Feisty Lawyers Book 3) by Seelie Kay – Review by Emily Walsh

CultCult
By: Seelie Kay
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cult (Feisty Lawyers Book 3) by Seelie Kay was an actioned packed thrill ride that had me hooked from start to finish.

Book three in this heart pounding series, we are again taken on a dangerous action filled, mysterious adventure. Picking up where the last book left off, it isn’t long before the plot gets under way, and we get to meet some new characters. I will say that these books follow a continuous timeline, and have a connecting multilayer plot line, so I highly suggest reading the first two books, as it will help with this one, not only that, you won’t get the full effect of these characters and the danger.

Man I love this series and each book just keeps getting better and better. This book also kind of brings it back to the first book, so again that’s why it’s important to read that first book. I love the storyline for this third instalment, the attention to detail, the tone shits, the banter and of course the way the characters connect and grow.

I have nothing bad to say, only that you need this series in your life, so please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will be on the edge of your seat, and flipping the pages just to know if the outcome will be grim.

Happy Reading
