This is a wonderful book that focuses on Ross. Ross is hung up on Hadley, who he let go despite of being in love with her. When Hadley reaches out to Ross for help neither could anticipate what all is going to happen. This book is definitely dark and twisty, but every page leaves you wanting more. There is so much to this story from the more complicated topics to the chemistry that literally jumps off the page between Ross and Hadley. Both characters are fantastically well developed and really made me enjoy the story even more. I definitely recommend reading this story, but note that there are trigger warnings for drug abuse, sexual abuse and physical abuse.

Hayden was shot by a homeless man. His horse brought him to Ruby’s cabin, where he was last conscious. Due to a blizzard, she bandaged his shoulder and tied his horse to the porch. She was hiding from her past with Marcus. As snow continues to fall, Seth calls Mark to tell him that Hayden is missing. The last time he had been seen was the previous morning, when he went to check the far pasture fences before the storm. Meanwhile, Forest had come into the station, claiming he had shot a ghost on a horse. Unable to get a clear story, Sheriff Latham had Forest committed for alcohol treatment and mental health. Several days pass before the weather clears enough for Hayden to ride his horse home. Ruby and Hayden bonded closely during the stay. After exchanging numbers, Hayden called when he had a signal and was met by his brother Mark, Whitney, and his parents. He told them what had happened. It was determined that Forest had mistakenly shot Hayden. Whitney interviewed Ruby to conclude their report. Ruby started packing her suitcases to continue with her plans to drive to Kansas. As she was preparing to leave, Marcus kicked the door in. She backed into the kitchen as he told her that she was his and wasn’t allowed to leave him. Ruby stabbed his shoulder and fled the cabin, running into the woods in just a sweater, leggings, and shoes. Ruby called Hayden while hiding in the woods. After describing her surroundings, Hayden rode across his ranch and found Ruby. He brought her back to his home. She pleaded for him not to pursue Marcus. He agreed and assured her that she was safe. The following day, Ruby reported what had happened. Whitney brought her car and belongings to the ranch. Marcus had tried to follow, but gave up. He left Wyoming and stayed at Congressman Dixon’s home. The Congressman owed Marcus for his lavish lifestyle. Marcus told the Congressman he was going to bring Ruby back home to Orlando. When Marcus receives a call with information about Ruby’s location, Congressman Dixon and his wife take an impromptu vacation to Hawaii This story has plenty of steamy scenes; however, Sara Vinduska adds several subplots involving Sheriff Latham and his past, Mark and Whitney’s marriage, and several other supporting characters. The plot is intriguing and full of suspense. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and their interactions are relatable. I enjoyed how the investigations and actions of the police were realistic. There weren’t any superhero-style rescues, which made the story even more appealing. The details were vivid, and I could picture the peaceful scenery on the Goddard Ranch. While this is part of a series, Renewed: Fateful Justice is capable of being a standalone romance. I would recommend this five-star story to readers who enjoy romantic suspense stories involving cowboy ranch life.
This is the 6th book in the Fateful Justice series. I haven’t read any of the others and was able to read this book without too much confusion. When I chose this book, it was because I loved the premise of the story. I feel like it missed the mark though. While the author was trying to tell the story, she may have, at least in my opinion, gone a little hard on the cliches. Not that I don’t love a good cliche, but there is a line that crosses into too many… I also (and hear me out, because I love a good smutty book just as much as the next.) but the sex for the sake of sex was a bit excessive. I feel like maybe if it had been more sporadically used it may saved it for me. I wanted to love this book, but I had so much trouble finishing it. I do plan to try and read the other books in the series, in hopes that maybe I just need to start from the beginning to follow better.

Regan is on her latest book tour, although they are not that bad it has become unbearable as the other author is a pain her side. Pavlo is a dark mysterious author who writes the opposite to her romantic stories with HEA, so when her agent decides to arrange a private book signing with the next First Lady she is annoyed and wants the world to swallow her up.
Pavlo was invited on the tour to promote his new book, so when he discovers that Regan is also included his mood takes a dive, this fiercely independent woman will be the death of him, but when there is a threat against her and her daughter, Pavlo pushes all that aside and his instinct to protect her is brought to the for front.
As they get to know each other better there is a chemistry between them that can’t be denied but can Pavlo push away the feelings to be able to protect her and her daughter properly.
This is the first book I have read by this author and loved every word written, although this book is part of a series, I thought this was a story which can be read separately. The chemistry between these two main characters was brilliant to read and added a extra layer to the story, with also the Enemies to Lovers progression had you engaged all through. Regan was a great female character full of fire and independence which frustrated Pavlo at times but in the end became the thing he loved the most about her.
I can’t wait to read more of this series and the others before.

I normally don’t read a lot of thrillers, but this one had me on the edge of my seat! It was so well written! I loved the forced proximity between the two lead characters, and the way that the MMC became so protective over the FMC. I’ve never read a book by this author before, and I am pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend!
This is the sixth book in the Fateful Justice series but it is the first of the series I have read. They each definitely function as a standalone, as I have not read any before this and I had absolutely no problem following along and enjoying the story. I will also say that I have now added this series to my TBR list and it won’t be long before I have read each and every one. This is a very well written forced proximity romance, but there were multiple layers to the plot that were well done. I loved the characters of Hayden and Ruby and felt that they were well written, well developed and definitely were believable. They had a chemistry that just jumped off the page. I devoured this story in one sitting and I definitely recommend picking it up!

I’ve read both the first and now second of the Shadow Defense Security series books, and what I like about the series is that they definitely connect (overlapping characters, to a degree, the Shadow Defense Security Agency, etc.) but you absolutely could read them as stand alone novels as well. If I really had to choose, I enjoyed this book even more than the first; the character development was entertaining and I found myself incredibly invested in the progress of the crimes being committed (and whodunit!) Definitely recommend!
Shadowed Agenda is the second book in the Shadow Defense Security series by Mavery Ellscott. It is another engrossing romantic suspense to follow on from Shadowed Obsession, the first book in SDS. This series is made up of standalone stories, each one focusing on a different operative of the Shadow Defense Security team. This time we get Pavlov Barislov’s story. We met him in Book #1 and I was immediately intrigued by the former Navy SEAL turned security operative who is also an author of thrilling novels. So I was excited to be able to get to know him better here. And WOW, what a story we got. Ms. Ellscott certainly put her characters to the test, and delivered a gripping read along the way. As I mentioned above, this is a romantic suspense, but it also has a bit of an enemies to lovers dynamic, danger, dramatic developments, tension, chemistry, agendas, action, and mystery – all the ingredients needed to keep me invested the whole way through. Bring on Book #3! Happy Reading…

Renewed is the sixth book in the Fateful Justice series by Sara Vinduska. I think the cover of this book threw me off a little, as it gave me the impression of a sweet, Hallmark-esque romance- which would have been great – but what it delivered was so much more. And I mean that as a good thing. I probably should have read the blurb, but sometimes I just like to choose by the cover and see if the story meets my expectations. It is an engrossing romantic suspense with a bit of a forced proximity element, sexy cowboy, drama, adventure, intrigue, a little mystery, secrets, action, and tension. Ruby has left city life hoping for a fresh start away from her past. But things don’t live up to expectation when she ends up saving a sexy cowboy who’s bleeding out from a gunshot wound. Yeah, so much for the quiet county life. Things heat up pretty quickly, but when her past comes back to haunt her, Hayden steps in to help her. What happens? No spoilers from me – you’ll have to read all the intriguing details for yourself. Happy Reading…

Regan and Pavlo are both authors, yet neither wants to associate with the other on their book tour. When things start to go awry with the tour requests, Pavlo and Regan have no choice but to put their trust in each other if they have any chance of ending the chaos with minimal damage. I was immediately drawn to Pavlo because of his strong commitment to doing the right thing and Regan because of her ‘do it myself’ mentality. The characters are so likeable! Mavery Ellscott does a great job keeping the reader in suspense and constantly upping the stakes in an already high-stakes situation.
Shadowed Agenda: An Enemies to Lovers Action-Packed Romantic Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Series) by Mavery Ellscott- 5 out of 5 stars
Who doesn’t love an intelligent sexy woman with just a bit of sass? This is a great romance suspense novel. I loved every page and I could not find it in myself to put it down. Will Pavlo be able to save Regan and will they ever learn? This was a fun read and I recommend.
This is such a fantastic book! It is the second book in the Shadow Defense Security Series. However, it definitely can be read as a standalone but note that there is some character overlap. This is a fantastic security book that features a strong alpha male and an equally strong female main character. In this book, Pavlo and Regan are featured in a Slow Burn enemies to lovers story. Both Pavlo and Regan are fantastically developed characters who take you on a roller coaster of an adventure filled with major twists and turns. Mavery Ellscott is fantastic at creating a thrilling plot that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat with every turn of the page. It is her crafting on the plot that definitely has me anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I definitely recommend reading this book!
This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how the author pulled me into the story with their attention to details that made it realistic. This is a well written story that is full of romance and suspense. The twists and turns are like no other and had me turning pages fast. Palvo and Regan are great characters. They are strong, connectable and their attraction pops off the pages. They have great growth throughout which made the story hard to put down. This is an easy, fast paced story that you don’t want to miss. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I look forward to seeing more from this author. I highly recommend this book.
I loved the chemistry between Lina and Curtis. It wasn’t stated when they saw each other in the doorway but you felt it because they had a history. This case with the Stiletto family has brought him into danger and all he was trying to do was the right thing. Lina’s job is to protect him. I found the energy and thrill in the writing kept me enthralled right from the beginning. Lina is so RBF that you felt her face showed nothing. When they picked up his parents, that was the best. I fell off my couch laughing. Who cannot relate to that scene? Oh my goodness, the writing is awesome. I felt the suspense, the danger, the thrill and everything else in the story. The mother-daughter tension. It’s a great read that I definitely recommend for romantic suspense lovers.

Pavlo is thriller writer for hobby and convenience, but his real job is to be a bodyguard and owner of a safety business. Along with other 4 ex Navy Seals, they have high profile clientele to take care of,now this can easily be parted with writing in order to obtain information and research for said pastime.
There is also Regan, a romantic writer who happens to share the same marketing agency for her books that Pavlo has, but since they are so different in paper they are also in life styles. After a divorce she and her daughter make do with her job, not the kind where money rains but it’s present.
Their publicist makes them work together for a book tour and they try to be as professional as they can but when danger shows at the door of the romantic side, the thriller side can help to want to protect against anything or anyone who wants to harm his opposite.

Renewed is the sixth exciting action-packed book in the Fateful Justice series by Sara Vinduska. Each book can be read as a standalone and it does not feel like I missed out on anything. The book is well-written and the characters that are well developed, and with flaws and weaknesses that make them feel real. It is a sexy Cowboy suspense romantic tale that will have you falling in love with the characters and pages turning at the turn of events. I enjoy Sara’s writing style making the story easy to read as it flowed well. Renewed has an interesting storyline, a good plot and is fast paced with enough twists to keep you glued to the pages. With plenty of romance, action, suspense, danger, intrigue, mystery, dark secrets and drama there is something for everyone to enjoy. I am not going to share details as I think you should discover it all on your own. If you are a fan of dangerous romantic suspense, you will enjoy this book. I look forward to reading more in the series.
OMG. I loved the first book Shadowed Obsession but Shadowed Agenda is just as good if not better. I said before that this is an author to watch, and I still think that. Each book in the series can be read as standalones but I encourage you to read them in order because the characters interchange. I love books with Navy Seals, Security protection books and the like, as I love the adrenaline rush and strong alpha males in protective mode and equally strong female leads. Shadowed Agenda is the second book in the amazing Shadow Defense Security series by Mavery Ellscott. This engrossing slow burn read is an Enemies to Lovers romantic tale that is one thrilling ride with twisty turns keep the pages turning. What happens when the stakes just keep on getting higher? A tension filled fast-paced tale that will have your heart rate elevated and on the edge of your seat. There is a lot going on in this book. It is a thrilling tale that is full of drama, treachery, deceit, danger, action, intrigue, grit, suspicions, attraction and a touch of humour. The only way the story could have gotten any better is if there was a bit more “open” heat in the sex scenes and it was told in dual POV (my favourite way to narrate a story) but these are my preferences. The plot and the characters are well developed, well written, and interesting. I loved the push pull of the relationship and the sexual tension between them. Shadowed Agenda is captivating and highly entertaining and should be on peoples TBR list. It is kill or be killed in this high stake’s tale. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Incredible romantic suspense. Cade is a hot security guy I’d want protecting me. Kiera is one I wasn’t to sure about but I’m glad she came into her own as the story developed. This is a story with action, romance, danger, mystery that will have you on the edge-of-your-seat holding your breathe to see what happens. The characters are well-written and it’s nice to see them develop as the story develops. IThis is a fantastic story that really leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next in the series.
This is one of the best romantic suspense I’ve read this year. From the moment I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. Regan thinks she’s just doing a book tour with Pavlo. Little does she know that her so-called “friend/publicist” Isla, has set her up for danger. This journey is full of twists, turns, deceit, and lies. I fell in love with this story because it’s fast-paced. The action and romance is nonstop. The chemistry between Pavlo and Regan is really good and ready to combust if people would stop knocking on the door. I enjoyed watching the chemistry and denial between Finlay and Drake develop. I would love to see a story their. Those two are in serious denial. This is a great story that I couldn’t get enough of.
Hayden Goddard wasn’t looking for love. He throughly enjoyed his life as a confirmed bachelor running his family’s Wyoming ranch. Until he’s shot and left for dead. And the first thing he sees when he wakes up are stunning green eyes he knows he’ll never forget.
Ruby Drake is on the run from her past. She dreams of a fresh start in the quiet countryside away from the city – and far from the ghosts of her former life. The last thing she needs is a sexy cowboy bleeding on her front porch.
Ruby has her fair share of dark secrets… and when her less-than-rosy past comes knocking, she’s forced to run into the arms of the only man who can protect her. Hayden owes her his life. Now it’s time for him to return the favor.

Bookbub – Shadowed Agenda: An Enemies to Lovers Action-Packed Romantic Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Series) by Mavery Ellscott
He’s the last person she’d turn to. He’s her best bet to keep her and her daughter alive.
Most authors would kill to be invited to do a private book signing for the woman who could be the next first lady. Regan Christenson isn’t one of them. But someone is willing to do whatever it takes to make her accept. There’s only one person she can turn to—Pavlo Barislov. Her book tour partner and former Navy SEAL is also the only person who annoys her more than an empty toilet paper roll.
If he’d had a choice, Pavlo would rather eat MREs for a year than spend five minutes with the fiercely independent Regan. He likes to keep his relationship with Shadow Defense Security low key, but when Regan and her daughter are threatened, Pavlo can’t turn a blind eye. As the danger intensifies, so does his unexplainable attraction to the irritating woman.
As things heat up, Pavlo and Regan are thrust into an unexpected minefield of treachery and deceit. One Pavlo may not be able to pull them out of alive.
Discover the heart-pounding excitement of Shadowed Agenda, the second installment in the romantic suspense thriller series Shadow Defense Security. If you like a slow-burn, high-stakes read, you’ll love Mavery Ellscott’s twisty page turner.
Each book in the Shadow Defense Security series can be read as a standalone. No cliffhangers and an HEA is guaranteed.
Mavery Ellscott’s first foray into writing was not romantic suspense. She wrote and published a neighborhood newspaper. A pretty big endeavor for an eight-year-old armed with scrap paper and her dad’s old typewriter. Total circulation—two. Fortunately, her later publications fared better. She’s even made it beyond the first round in a contest or two.
A conservationist, Mavery has won a few environmental awards. So, it’s no surprise she yearns to write a high-speed chase with eco-friendly cars.
Marcie Hayes is house sitting in the Pocono Mountains and dog sitting a King Charles Spaniel named Ginger. She also has to take pictures of an antique Christmas elf every day and send them to the home owner to be entered in the Big Busiest Christmas Elf Contest online.
Air Force fighter pilot Ted Barrett and his golden retriever Ace, are spending the holidays in the Pocono Mountains, setting up his new house. He meets Marcie and they start dating, but he has to fly to Montana for his brother Jack’s wedding. When Marcie stops answering Ted’s messages, he’s confused because in her last message she’d said she couldn’t wait to see him.
She can’t answer because she’s been taken.
Ted returns home and realizes what’s happened, but is it in time to save her? Ted will not rest until he finds her. Ginger attacks the elf and when Ted takes it from her they find their first clue to what happened to Marcie.
This is enemies to lovers done right. Each of the WaterFyre rising book is better than the next. They are filled with spice and well written characters and this does not disappoint. Grayson and Natalie have such fantastic chemistry that the tension between them just jumps off the page. Their banter is absolutely enjoyable and really makes the book move at a fast pace. I loved how these characters just jump off the page. I completely recommend picking up this one and the rest of the series! I definitely cannot wait for the next book!

No Amends is a taut, F/F psychological suspense full of action, drama, mystery, intrigue, suspense, forbidden love, secrets, lies, deception, passion, and raw emotions. This book grabbed my attention from the first few pages and gripped me until the end. The story centers around the main characters of Tang and Dee who meet by chance and start a secret affair. Unbeknownst to Tang, their affair is not the only thing that Dee has been keeping a secret from her. When Tang’s live-in girlfriend, Layla, starts to suspect the affair Tang calls things off with Dee thinking that she can move forward and fix her relationship with Layla. Dee does not understand why Tang suddenly calls things off and refuses to fade into the background. When Dee suddenly ends up dead after a horrific car accident Tang is devastated and consumed with guilt. As it turns out, Dee is not the only one keeping secrets and running from the truth. As the investigation into Dee’s accident continues it starts to unravel secrets and lies that may have been better left hidden. This story was full of twists and turns as it took us into the world of a twisted mind that would do anything for love. A riveting, edge of your seat thrill ride that will keep you hooked until the final pages. I highly recommend this book!

This is the first book that I have read from this author and she has a new fan. I love a good cozy mystery but this book exceeded all my expectations. I could not put this book down until the very end. I loved how you got to read both characters’ points of view. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing book.
Jennifer has an amazing life. She loves her job, has amazing friends but she is missing one thing. Jennifer has no one to come home to. She wants the love that she has always wanted. Jennifer meets a beautiful man one night and she has an amazing night with him. She thinks she has found the one but he goes missing. Will Jennifer find the love of her life or will it be too late?

This book threw me for loop. This story was a bit hard to follow at times due to POV changes and such in my opinion but the base of the storyline was really good. I definitely was left feeling like this author kept me on the edge of my seat. I love a book that keeps me guessing and doesn’t spell it out too easily and early. It’s a short read but it’s a well written story. The characters easily draw you in. All in all a good read and I do recommend it. Four big stars.
Angela Lam is a new to me author and I wasn’t sure what to expect but the blurb on the book sounded really intriguing. The author usually writes woman’s fiction and from what I’ve read this is her first foray into writing a suspense/thriller. I don’t know about her previous work but I think she fits into this niche very well. I enjoyed this book very much from start to finish and I’m interested in reading more from this author.
Assistant Medical Examiner Trudy Beasley loves her job, although the tragedies and heartbreak come through her doors everyday, Trudy enjoys giving answers to the victims families and hopefully be able to bring peace in some form. Until one day an explosion rips through the city and uncovers bones that may be beyond her expertise and requires help to answer the questions.
Ben Roberts is an expert in the world of Anthropology and when he receives a request to help with the Medical Examiners office this peaks his interest especially when the examiner is Trudy. Ben and Trudy start to work on finding the identity and the reasons behind the death but as they investigate more and more it becomes more intense, but when they uncover secrets and things people want to keep quiet but as they become more involved in the case there chemistry increases and in the end can they solve the mystery?
I loved all the books in this series so far and this one is just as good, although this is the third book you can feel comfortable reading as a stand alone story, although previous characters are referenced it does not take away from the story or the relationships.
The drama building in this story was well written and the book flowed with the thrilling twists and turns. I have loved Trudy as a character in the other books but you really get to see her tick in this story and Ben adds the chemistry of passion and love for her in the best possible way. I also love the way Trudy truly cares about the dead, always wanting to help with the narrative and story of how they ended up where they did which means at times she wears her heart on her sleeve.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and hopefully more to comes.

This book was a good quick read. It was written from two different characters’ perspectives and goes back and forth from the present to when those two characters meet. There are things you won’t like about each character in this book. I was not a fan of Dee and was rooting for Layla even though at times she frustrated me. Tang was in a class all her own. Which just makes it even more realistic in my opinion and the characters more believable. I was not expecting the ending at all and just when I thought there were no more plot twist there was another. This was definitely a good first read by this author and I will be looking into more books by them. If you are looking for a quick interesting read with great twists give this one a try!
I love a fantastic love story. There are times when I simply just listen to certain songs to feel certain feelings that don’t exist in my life at the time… Until SaintCon! I fell in love with the description of this wonderful book and i was so ready to keep every page continuously turning! I can’t wait to get more from this author. I’m usually not a romance novel fan but this book was magical and very inspiring! Happy reading!
