My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fade Into the Night is the 5th book in the Philly Night series and could be read as a standalone, however I do recommend reading previous books in the series. Meet the characters Noah and Sadie. Noah is an FBI Special Agent who has come to Philadelphia in pursuit of the Beltway Romeo, Sadie a Forensic Facial Reconstructionist. The two re-meet in the most unlikely place after a brief “fling” a few years prior. The heat between the two is hard to miss and makes you wonder why they ended it to begin with. The author includes everything you could possibly want in a story. Danger is around every corner, a heated romance, a crime that needs to be solved and the suspense behind every page.

Kylee Parker and Jayson Donovan came from two entirely different worlds, yet something always draws Kylee to Jayson. They grew up together and Jayson left Kylee to question everything after he stands her up at the High School Picnic. Kylee forgets about how Jayson broke her heart and she moved on. However, all good things must come to an end. Kylee re-meets Jayson again when she arrests him for a drug deal she witnessed. Nothing makes her happier than arresting the one person who humiliated her years ago, but things aren’t always what they seem or are they. Life is not that simple. A great read.

This is the 3rd book in the DAG Team Series. The books can be read as standalones however I feel you will get a better understanding and more enjoyment if you read them from the beginning.
This story is a action packed Special Ops romance. It is full of danger, intrigue, suspense, and a second chance meeting which could change the lives of our too main characters forever.
This is definitely a story that I couldnt out down and I was gripped from the start as the action hits you from the first page. With drug gangs and a kidnapping right at the start you have not choice but to buckle up for the ride ahead.
I have to admit I do love Mateo’s character, he is trying so hard to leave the drug gang behind and is almost free by putting the main man behind bars until Janey comes back into his life. Now he is torn, does he keep up the charade and stick to the plan to gain his freedom from the drug gang or does he risk it all to save Janey? Can he do both?

Janey has escaped her past or so she thought until her brother turns up. As a member of a drug gang she knows nothing good can come of him turning up and she right when she finds herself kidnapped as the drug gang try to get to her brother.
Imagine her surprise when her teenage crush Mateo turns up and is part of the gang who have her captive. What is he doing there? Could he really be part of such a ruthless gang? And can she even trust what he is telling her?

This is a story of second chance romance with lots of hurdles for Mateo and Janey to overcome. Secrets will be revealed and stories come to light as they both fight for their freedom and each other. I loved this story and look forward to what comes next.

I found this romantic suspense story to be a real page turner. Mateo is determined to escape his former life of crime and has one last undercover assignment for DAG and then he’s free. The assignment will also result in putting a major drug dealer out of business. When things don’t go to plan Mateo has to choose between his op and the only person who has ever believed in him. Having escaped an abusive home Janey is now living a much safer and better life. She is then kidnapped by a gang who want to get at her brother, and suddenly she’s thrust back into her old dangerous world. Janey is devastated when she comes face to face with Mateo, believing that he is still a member of the gang. She wants to trust him, after all he was her teenage crush. Meanwhile, there is a mole who is endangering ops and personnel at DAG, and the team are working hard to discover who it is before anyone else gets hurt. Janey and Mateo work together to find the last piece of the puzzle that Mateo needs to be free. They also can’t help but give into their feelings as secrets on both sides are shared. This was a fast-paced story with great characters and plenty of drama and suspense which kept me hooked throughout. I loved the character’s, especially Mateo and Janey and their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. An enjoyable and engaging read.

CUTTER (Devils’ Spawn Daddies Series) by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Brandy Rymer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a great romantic suspense read, that spins a whole new light on the reputation of MCs and that they are not all bad. I loved that the author took a different spin on the reputation of the MCs instead of portraying them as troublemakers. Instead, she took the angle of them reforming their group to have an honest role in the community, and any members who didn’t want to live within the law could leave the group and seek a new group that had no respect for what was right and wrong. This book does introduce a lot of adult content, including situations that may be triggers for some audiences. I enjoyed that there were situations that were addressed that were hard to take, but that are things that need to be made aware of for anyone who wanders the club scenes, both young and old. The storyline of the book was easy to follow along with, and the characters were great, I loved the explanations given in detail about what each type of relationship entailed, especially since this was a new type of book for me. It was eye-opening to a new dynamic of relationships that some people enjoy in this modern age. I look forward to seeing what the next book is, and whose story it covers, hopefully sticking with the same characters from the Devils’ Spawn MC group.

Cutter: Devil Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti is a daddy/middle dynamic meaning there is an age play storyline. I urge those going to read this to keep an open mind if this isn’t the typical story that they read. Emily is a the new detective at the station and she is looking to make a name for herself and gain the respect of her peers. Though she’s had a tough go at life, she doesn’t let it get in her way. Cutter is sergeant at arms for the Devils Spawn MC and takes his brotherhood seriously. The pair have met before, when she had the misfortune of arresting him for something he didn’t even do several years ago. Now it’s his help that she needs. I will say I found Emily’s character sort of a disrespectful brat. She didn’t seem as if she cared what the others at the precinct thought because she was constantly stepping out of line. And what good detective goes almost out of their way to do things to put them IN harms way. Maybe that was the point of the story to drive her further into the age play with Cutter but it didn’t make her the most likable. While I’m pretty open with kink, I found many parts of this story that I’d be grimacing. I believe because Emily was just so easy to fall and into play it was as if she forgot she was an officer. That said I overall enjoyed the book and thought the story was good.

Emily is new to the force and can’t do anything to keep Cutter from being locked up when they first meet. Years later, Emily has worked hard to become a detective and needs a man like Cutter to help with a case. Can she convince Cutter to help bring down The Sons of Chaos? What will their attraction to each other bring to this situation. Cutter is strong and protective.
I picked this book because I like reading MC stories. This was a bit out of my comfort zone. Overall, I liked the main characters and learned some new things.

What an explosive start to the series! I’m a huge fan of the romantic suspense genre but add in the MC with the DDLG/BDSM dynamic and I found myself hooked instantly. The main characters, Cutter and Emily, are well-developed and relatable. I was invested in them quite quickly and needed to know what was going to happen next. The chemistry between them jumps off the pages in the first chapter, and it only gets better from there. The amount of action, angst, drama, and chemistry throughout this book was absolutely astounding! I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t pull away from it. I can’t wait to continue the series and get more from this author.

Cutter by Victoria Saccenti is Book One is the Devis’ Spawn Daddies Series. The story follows Cutter a seemingly scary and hard member of a MC who is a Daddy Dom and Emily a rookie detective who is also a middle. Their story centers around trying to take down a local MC that is bad news. All while fighting the attraction that they have had for years. This is a fun and spicy DDLG story. If you like MC and BDSM I definitely recommend giving this one a read. 4 out of 5 stars.

Devils’ Spawn Daddies is a new series, with Cutter being our first Daddy. Cutter is also a big bad biker who means business when he is protecting the woman he believes is his soul-mate. Detective Emily longs to be understood and appreciated, not only at home in her love life but also at work. Learning to keep the two separate is a full time job and one that Emily does not succeed at very well. While learning to accept herself, Emily must decide if being with Cutter is more rewarding than bringing down the Sons of Chaos and their crime ring. Choices are made and punishment will be served. The only question now is will Emily and Cutter survive?

Not my first DDLG story and not my first book by this author. Looking forward to the next Daddy story.

Cutter: Devils’ Spawn Daddies

I was a little surprised by this book, mostly because I didn’t read the synopsis before clicking on it. Don’t usually let book covers pull me in without reading the synopsis and wasn’t disappointed.

This is a new genre to me and had no expectations, was pleasantly surprised on what I found between the cover.

Emily and Cutter met before under very different circumstances and they left impressions on that first encounter. When they meet up again after a few years the dynamic between them is quite different.

I don’t know much about the Daddy/sub (middle) relationship so I have no idea if this is what a relationship is truly like, but it lead to an interesting book. If you keep your mind open then I think you could end up enjoying it.

Delayed Redemption (The DAG Team Series) by Kel O’Connor. I loved this book. Its a fast paced romance about Mateo who grew up along with Janey in Puerto Rico and Mateo took the hard road in life by joining a gang along with Janey’s brother. Mateo always cared about Janey unlike her brother. The two guys have gone down some dark roads and done some very dark things. Janey took the conventional road, college, not that it was super easy but she did it. Her brother Scott decides to go rogue and steals some information from the gang that they don’t want him to have so they end up kidnapping Janey to get back at him thinking he will turn over the stolen info. Janey is hoping against all hope that Mateo still cares about her and will help her get back home. Lots of mysteries and surprises in the fun, fast paced romance. Be aware when you begin reading you won’t want to put it down.

I have read many BDSM themed books and really enjoy that genres theme so between that and the fact it was written by an author I really enjoy I was drawn to this book. The DDMG play aspect is something I haven’t read before and If I am completely honest I can’t say I liked it or will seek out to read more books around that element of this genre BUT just because it wasn’t my cup of tea this time it DOES NOT mean that you won’t love it. Cutter is filled with plenty of action, drama and danger while the lead characters Cutter and Emily work to bring down an MC who are involved in human trafficking and a lot more! While elements of this book weren’t for me I think this author is really amazing and should be read time and time again!

This is book one in the Devil’s Spawn Daddies series. This is an DDLG story as well as a MC romance. I have always loved MC romances and I enjoyed this one just as much. This is an action packed story from the first page. There is danger, tension, drama, and steam as our main characters realise that there is something very special between them.
The author does a great job of immersing you in the life of a MC club and also let’s you enter the world of BDSM and gives you a better understanding of the DDLG relationship.

Cutter is no angel. Has part of a MC he has had his run ins with police even though he wasn’t guilty. So when he is approached to work along side the police to infiltrate a new dangerous MC that has come along at first he wants to say no way.
However the person doing the asking is Emily Mayhew and he feels powerless to refuse her anything. There is something about her that he just can’t forget, something that calls to him.Emily is newly promoted and wants to crack this case on her own so she turns to the one person she feels she can trust. But can she really trust Cutter? The closer they get and the more time they spend together Emily finds it harder to conceal a huge part of her personality from him. She is a middle. What will Cutters reaction be if he was to find out? Would he be disgusted and push her away? Or could this revelation be just what they need to finally find their other half?I loved this story and I can’t wait to read more in this series

Delayed Redemption is Book Three in the DAG Team Series. It is a romantic suspense with drama, danger, action, suspense, tension, mystery, angst, romance, chemistry, secrets, the mafia, and Special Ops. The story centers around the characters of Janey and Mateo who are thrust together by fate and circumstances. Janey has worked hard to overcome more than her fair share of tragedy, abuse, and trauma. Leaving everything behind she went to college in pursuit of fulfilling her dreams. When she gets kidnapped and thrust into danger there is only one person who may be able to help her. Mateo is attempting to free himself from the life of crime and turn his life around but to do he must perform one last job for his drug lord boss. When his latest job involves an old childhood friend named Janey, he is forced to confront his past and make decisions for his future. Can that future involve Janey? Can he save her from the danger that lurks around them? Will Janey be able to love Mateo for the kind man he is under that gruff exterior? I loved the character of Janey because she was strong, determined, kind, and smart. She overcame numerous obstacles and never gave up which I found admirable. Mateo was tough, street smart, and led a life of crime but deep down was kind, loving, and cared for Janey. A great read full of twists and turns that will keep you riveted until the final pages.

Cutter is a protector in his MC and has the rap sheet to prove it. He’s used to being on the lookout for cops and to being the one the cops choose as their patsy. However, when he runs into an attack while on club business, he can’t bring himself to run when he has the opportunity to keep someone from being alone in their last moments. As expected, the cops suspect he and his club brothers are the reason for the carnage. It feels a lot like a bad case of deja vu, considering last time these cops arrested him he ended up in jail, regardless of his innocence. The only pro to the entire situation is that the rookie cop at the time, Emily Mayhew, has given him years worth of fantasies in his DD life.

Emily has since made detective, and while she plays coy, Cutter and the delicious temptation he offered was never far from her mind. Secretly, she knew Cutter was dominant and wanted to bask in it but her past experiences made her afraid to share her desires. Regardless of her personal fantasies, Cutter was the perfect person for the case she is trying to break wide open. Will he take her up on her offer of partnership to bring the new MC down, or will it become more than that?

Mateo is one DAG operation away from leaving the gang he joined as a kid but all he must do is help bring down one of the biggest drug dealers and that’s it. Sounds simple but when things go sidewards and get complicated can he keep his head on and get the job done, but there is a twist that when a blast from his past comes into play, he must work with them to find out what is really happening.

Janey got herself out of the house, neighbourhood and tried to get herself a better footing in life but when her brother steals information from the gang he is with she becomes embroiled in the danger when she is kidnapped, scared and alone she meets a blast from her past who is determined to help her, but when they discover they must work together to uncover the mole and escape there attraction to each other increases.

This story is full of suspense and romance which will have you engrossed from the first chapter. Mateo’s character although involve in the heinous world of gangs and violence has decided a while ago to leave but you see his strength of character to want to get his life together. Janey characters although you find her start in life not to good is a perfect mirror to Mateo and you get to see of beautiful relationship blossom in the dark depths of the story.

The story is full of action and with the twist and turners makes this a compelling read and wanting to get to the bottom of the mysterious it unveils throughout. The story is well written, and the characters are full and rounded and I enjoyed reading this story. Although this is part of a series, I read this as a stand alone story but would love to go back and read the two books before.

There are some trigger warnings and tropes involved that some may not be comfortable with. I think for me, Emily’s character development was the main thing that made the book!

Janey hands $300 to her brother and finds herself in a new location once the effect of the drugs she was given wear off. She wakes up in an unfamiliar place but not to completely unfamiliar voices and faces. Her captors want her brother and she has no idea where he is.

Another smashing action packed romantic suspense story in this series! This one falls under the best friend little sister category, which I love. The characters are well done, believable and made me fall for them. We get to see a lot of the team which makes them more “known” quantities instead of just a flat one dimensional until their story pops up. This is very well done and I look forward to seeing more in this series.

This series has done a great job keeping me hooked. This book went by too fast while at the same time not fast enough. I had to know who the killer was.

Sadie and Noah reconnect and that seems to be the last good thing to happen to them. I want to expand on this but I can’t really without spoiling the book and that is the absolute last thing I want to do.

I was quite surprised by everything from the second chapter on and I loved it. I always try and figure out how things are going go and this one kept me guessing until the reveal.

I look forward to reading more books (fingers crossed from this series) by Ms. Flade

Cutter is Book 1 in the Devils’ Spawn Daddies series, bringing me into a different world of DDLG, and this is truly my first DDLG story I have ever read. Danger, intrigue, BDSM, sexy chemistry with angst this story really kept me wanting to turn the pages and want more. I am no stranger to this author and the story really caught my attention….

Cutter and Emily are drawn to each other in so many ways. Cutter is part of the Devils’ Spawn MC while Emily is a rookie detective trying to find her way up the ladder and gain some respect. Emily’s plan is to gain Cutters trust and reaches out to help her take down some new local MC that is just plain bad news…knowing that Cutter is always a “protector”. In the midst of everything, Cutter cannot get Emily out of his head and brings out the Daddy Dominant in him and he wants Emily in more ways than one.

Will Cutter and Emily be able to get what they both want in the end between down a very bad MC while also exploring more in the DDLG world….definitely read and find out if you are as intrigued as I was…..

happy reading 🙂

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Daaaaang, what a spicy cupcake. Victoria Saccenti has such an amazing way of building suspense, and her stories pull you in so deep you finish it thinking wait it the end already I just started. Dual perspectives Cutter and Emily.
Emily Mayhew is a junior detective in a small Georgia town. As a female the two older male detectives don’t have confidence in her or see her as equal to them. When a case that could earn her, some well-deserved respect presents itself to her she jumps on it, taking it as her baby to see to the end. Cutter is the sergeant at arms in the Devils’ Spawn MC, once known as a one-percenter MC their president Blade is done with that reputation and wants to rejoin the AMA (American Motorcycle Association). At the request of Detective Mayhew, Cutter is taken to the station to have a conversation with her. Instantly the memories of four years early flood them both and their deepest desires right in front of them. Both have been living rent free in the others’ dreams over the past four years and neither is willing to miss the chance of having more when presented before them. The only thing standing in their way, the Sons of Chaos, and their ties to the Oquendo cartel. Chaos will ruin the small town they have moved into, and the cartel is known for three things the running of drugs, guns, and humans. Determined to take them down before everyone suffers the fallout, Emily recruits Cutter to infiltrate Chaos for information. Quickly their intimate relationship finally comes true, but Emily has a stubborn streak and a desire to prove herself no matter the risk to herself if she gets what she wants.
Will Emily be able to survive her bratty determination? Can Cutter get there in time to save her? What will happen with the dust settles? They are each other’s mate to their souls and yet a side of Emily is determined to prove he is no different than the men of her past. Push him too hard he will run but when he doesn’t, she gets conniving and reckless. These characters are both flawed, broken and hungry for the love of the other. The author’s talent in making such complex, infuriating, and caring characters was an amazing joy to read and honestly, I went from aww, to growling at times because of frustration with what was happening. My eyes will certainly be peeled for the next installment in this incredibly spicy and intriguing new series. Fingers crossed for Barron and Yoanni’s story next.

CUTTER (Devils’ Spawn Daddies Series) by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Devon Pulliam

Cutter (Devils' Spawn Daddies)Cutter by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book does talk about ageplay, dominance and a touch of violence but that is mild.

Cutter is part of a MC (motorcycle club) and a few years prior has a run in with a local police officer when he gets arrested. Emily Mayhew is police officer turned detective that has had eyes for Cutter since arresting him in a fight years ago. Unknowing that he has eyes for her to.

Being a ‘Middle’ she has been hurt in the past and wasn’t treated appropriately by her ‘Caregiver’. When Cutter reappears due to a shooting she sees her chance and takes it. However, not intentionally in the romance department. She needs Cutter for a case she’s trying to pull off. The question is tho will he accept the mission?

Cutter and his MC are pulled in to help the local PD (specifically Emily) put a stop to a new incoming MC and their wrong doings. But who is going to get caught in the crossfire? Will Emily and Cutter be able to build a relationship based on his being a dominant and her being a middle?

Delayed Redemption (The DAG Team Series) by Kel O’Connor – Review by Tonya Merritt

Delayed Redemption: DAG Team Series: Book 3 of 4 Special Ops Romantic SuspenseDelayed Redemption: DAG Team Series: Book 3 of 4 Special Ops Romantic Suspense by Kel O’Connor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A romantic suspense with Mateo as everything and more. The suspenses in this book has you clinging to the page wanting to jump ahead. This is my first book by Kel O’Conner and she did not disappoint. This is a stand alone series but I am gonna go check out the others just because I loved her writing style. Janey is the right kind spice for Mateo’s life and I’m living for it.

CUTTER (Devils’ Spawn Daddies Series) by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Brittany Angel

Cutter: Devils' Spawn DaddiesCutter: Devils’ Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Emily is a detective who has worked hard to get to where she is. But despite that, there are people on the force who are not her friends. When she finds a big case that could make her career, she enlists Cutter, the SAA, for a local MC. But it has to be underwraps. This is a DDLG dynamic, and if that is your thing, this is definitely for you. As a reader who prefers a full plot with a little spice vs. all spice and little plot, this wasn’t my favorite. The conversations between characters were sometimes written in a way that didn’t sound like how people actually talk to each other, and I found that pulling me out. All in all, if this is the type of trope and dynamic you’re into, this is for you.
