Bovine Tricks is the first book in the Royals Gone Rogue Series by Seelie Kay. I have to say Ms. Kay is one of my go to authors. Her books are intense and full of action. They also have a humorous side. They are. just the right length and I can read the. In one sitting. This book features Tillie and Abdul and it has quite a unique storyline. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in the series.

Bovine Tricks is the first book in the Royals Gone Rogue series by Seelie Kay.

This was my first time reading anything by this author, but I would lookout for more books in the future. I loved the fun and enthusiasm that runs throughout the book. The pace was really quick and the story was finished sooner than I would have liked! The pages just kept on turning.
The storyline was a bit different and just when I thought I had things figured out a whole new twist would be introduced. The characters are fun, and the main character Mathilda is relatable in her struggles in both her career and her love life.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced and lively read I would recommend this book.

Bovine Tricks (Royals Gone Rogue Book 1) by Seelie Kay was an interesting read. I’m not going to lie, this wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t care so much for the content, I personally felt like it was very weird and the beginning was off putting for me. However, it got much better towards the end. I was easily sucked in, once I got over the initial shock of the hucow and bovine fetishes. This book was well written and had a lot of adventure thrown in. I’m not sure how I like the ending. I felt like it ended on a cliff hanger, and then it also didn’t. It’s hard to describe without spoilers. I would read the next book in The series, just to see what happens next!

I’m always fascinated by the ride this author takes me on. And this book was no exception. For me it was parts romance, parts supernatural situation, with some adventure sprinkled throughout. I kept trying to figure out how everything would resolve and it kept me completely engrossed to the end. Well written and fun.

Bovine Tricks by Seelie Kay is the first book in the Royals Gone Rogue series. The hunt is on to find Lady Annabelle. Will Tillie and Abdul be able to find her and rescue her? There is mystery, royalty, twists, and turns as they chase down Lady Annabelle. Tillie and Abdul are sent to a world that Tillie is not only unaware even existed but definitely takes her out of her comfort zone. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. The easy banter that only people that know each other well can achieve. Would definitely recommend.

Bovine Tricks by Seelie Kay turned out to be quite an original and engrossing romantic suspense. It has lots of intrigue, drama, romance, and an unusual investigation that leads our character/s on quite an eye opening adventure. The book had my curiosity piqued right from the beginning, what with the title and the blurb- colour me intrigued.
MISix agent Tillie Spenser is Tasked with finding a missing member of the British aristocracy- but this missing person case gets a whole lot more complicated than she could ever have imagined- leading to an investigation she won’t soon forget, that’s for sure.
An original and fun read…

Thank you, Seelie Kay!

Bovine Tricks written by Ms. Kay was different and great at the same time. This is the second book that I have read by this author and of course it won’t be the last. The characters are amazing and I love how they play off of each other.

Mathilda Honoria Spencer (aka Tillie) struggles with on her latest assignment but she thinks to herself is this real or fantasy. Tillie is tasked with discovering the whereabouts of Lady Annabelle Trask, and now Tillie is thrust into a world of Hucows and other human animals. We are in a world that raises serious questions about sexual fetishes, intentional physical enhancements, and even, pornography, but in the end, Tillie has only one mission to rescue and return Lady Annabelle to the Queen.

Luckily, Tillie has her partner Agent Abdul Ali, he is her work partner and her life partner and they work great together. While struggling with their feeling they must work hard on this case.

Will they be able to over come their issues or will they walk away from each other to follow different paths?

I highly recommend this book…

4 stars!
This book was different but I liked it. I didn’t think I was going to be able to get into the story but I sure did. Tillie kind of annoyed me, it seems like she is in the wrong line of work, everyone seems to dislike her for all of the mess ups she has caused, and her partner Abdul doesn’t seem to care to defend her. I did enjoy their romantic relationship though, Abdul is very much in love with her, so I wish she would just hurry up and take the next step with him. This author did an amazing job with describing how the Hucows looked, it all seemed so real. The story was very unique, original and fantastical and I really enjoyed reading Tillie and Abdul’s quest to save Lady Annabelle per the Queen’s orders, and Lady Annabelle is a whole other can of worms. All the characters were very well written and easy to relate to. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I found this book to be a different read. It was very entertaining and had its moments of excitement. The author does now how to place the characters in that perfect situation to deliver that bang. I liked the characters. The female lead wasn’t like most but she definitely came close to it. I thought the story line was good. That question of who comes first Queen and country or love? The world that the author created was beautiful and different. Definitely somewhere I can picture. I really liked the search for Lady Annabelle. The chemistry was nice between Tillie and Abdul. Overall all interesting story.

Bovine Tricks by Seelie Kay is the first book in the Royals Gone Rogue series. This book is a little different from others you might have read by this author but it is still well written and highly entertaining. I knew from reading the description that this book would at least be interesting and it certainly was that. The world that the main characters are thrust into is not something you would stumble across in every day life. The author handles that well and has created a great story as a result.
I liked the main characters as well. I thought they had a strong connection and were quite fun to read about. The book was full of suspense and, despite having a slightly different type of content, still had depth to it. This was a great book and certainly worth reading.

While I love reading this authors novels, this one was hard for me to get into. I liked that it had suspense but the story line just wasn’t me. This novel takes fantasy to a new level. This book combines a world of sexual fetishes, pornography, terrorism, royalty, secret agents, human animals, and romance. This book was a bit different than what I normally read but overall it was good. Seelie Kay created a world that was created based on a version of a type of sexual role play. Following the adventures of Abdul and Tillie as they tried to unravel the mystery of where Annabelle was, is an interesting read. Abdul and Tillie made a great couple and their interaction was fun to read. There were a few twists and turns in the story which made it a fun read. If a reader does not mind reading a novel that goes into something a little different, then this book might be right up your alley.

One of the things I love most about the holiday season is the promise of miracles and magic. I believe that Santa is more than an imaginary man that delivers toys to children, and for those two reasons alone I needed to read this story. If I am being honest, I am really torn about my final thoughts on the book. The writing was fantastic but there was something about the characters that I didn’t entirely click with. I love the premise that Mrs. Wright must save her husband and the epiphanies that come along with the task. I would recommend you give the Last Christmas a try yourself, it is short and sweet and what is there to lose? Before I wrap this up, I’ll leavd you with a quote from the novella that really stuck with me was  “Medicine is nothing more than an educated guess. They give you their best guess. And sometimes they are just plain wrong. They can’t know what’s in a patient’s heart or soul. They can’t estimate someone’s instinct for survival and will to live. That’s when miracles appear to happen, though they aren’t really miracles at all. They’re just humans instinctively responding to a threat to their life.”

Joan Wright is a woman on the edge, on the edge of grief, loss and heartbreak, her husband David is in St Malcolm’s hospital in an induced coma and at death’s door, but she cannot bear to think about the fact that this will be his last Christmas with her, the cancer has eaten away at him until only morphine and machines are keeping him there with her. She is reminiscing with a nurse about how in love she has been with David, from the age of sixteen when they met until now and that love has only grown stronger, she says that they have celebrated the good and weathered the bad, as well as having three children together and that she is angry because they are not dying together and that it is a cruel thing to be in her situation, the nurse tells her to have faith and that Christmas miracles do happen when there is hope and love in the mix and that her job in the ICU has proven that many times over. As she thinks about what the nurse said, she slips around the wires and machines keeping him alive and into bed with David, there she has a dream that he is alive and well and wanting his Christmas miracle, he hasn’t finished what he needs to do and he hasn’t finished loving her, both emotionally and physically, when she is woken up by the doctor who wants to examine David, but adds that his heart was beating the strongest it has been while she was sleeping next to him, this is too much for Joan to hear and makes excuses for it and blames the cancer for giving her false hope, but he says the same thing as the nurse did earlier that David isn’t the type for giving up and when there is hope and love, that miracles can indeed happen.

As Joan is walking in the open air and surrounded by Christmas spirit, carollers and Santa’s, when she is suddenly being spoken to by someone and it is none other than Santa himself, a centuries old spirit who works with God to dispense advice and bring the Christmas spirit and love to those who need it, although she doesn’t believe it at first, when he invites her to sit down and talk to her, he reveals that it is not David’s time to die yet and even if it was, Heaven is full, St Peter is at his wit’s and and that there is a 5 year waiting list to get in, so unless she wants David to be stuck in a 5 year queue, she has to keep him alive. Joan finds it unbelievable that she is expected to keep him alive when that there isn’t even anything more that the medical staff can do, so he tells her that she needs to give him a reason to live, a reason to keep going as his work is not yet done and that he needs to know that she is on his side.

When she returns home and sees all their memories together and starts to remember them all, she knows what she has to do, she needs to remind David of all that they have shared together and what he has to live for, she needs to get her kids, their grandkids, their friends and even their church on their side and fight for his survival, so she arranges a family meeting and they devise a plan of action, but can Team Wright get their Christmas miracle and love save the day, or will everything fall through in the end? A gripping read which enthralls you as a reader right up to the end.

The Last Christmas by Seelie Kay was a good read. It was very quick, and easy to read as well. It was a very heartfelt novel, full of emotion and some laughter. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. However, while I know this was completely fiction, it felt so unrealistic to me. I also got thrown off a bit from the novel by the sex stuff mentioned. To me, that took away from David’s condition. Other than those two things to me, I loved this novel. It was well written and very fast paced. And I loved the holiday miracle aspect as well. The Last Christmas Seelie Kay is a heartwarming and emotional story that will complete draw you in from start to finish. I think what I enjoyed the most about this book is that it is so far removed from your typical holiday romance and yet still had that magical feel about it. This time of year can feel a little bit saturated when it comes to the holiday stories and yet this one stood out with ease from all the others I have read.
This is a well written and emotional story about a family trying to find a miracle. The author creates a vivid portrayal of what they must be going through and as the reader you can’t help but become invested in their lives. The Last Christmas by Seelie Kay

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Kay is a great author and to see a short story have so much meaning is amazing. This story goes along with the Holidays.

Joan is mourning the loss of her husband even with him not dead. She isn’t sure he’ll live, but when Santa visits her things change. The quote I chose for Joan is: “I do love him. He knows that. I have been with him every step of the way.”

David is dying and he isn’t quite ready to go. When his old friend Santa jumps in to help him out. Santa gets his wife to see what is really going on. The quote I chose for David is: “Oh, for crying out loud. Would you stop all babbling, you monkeys. I need to talk to your mother. Pipe down. We don’t have a minute to waste.”

Highly recommended for Paranormal Romance lovers.
