Just Exes by Charity Ferrell

I loved this story!!! This book gave me all the feels I look for in a good story. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, and I even swooned. Lauren and Gage have so much history, love, and hurt. Can they find their way back to each other? Will Gage trust that Lauren won’t hurt him again. Is he able to tell Lauren the secret he’s keeping from everyone except his dad. Will Lauren tell him the real reason she broke up with him all those years ago.I enjoyed the banter between these two and the sexual tension is off the charts!!! I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading. I became so invested in this story and the characters, that it felt like I was experiencing their lives right along with them. I can’t say enough good things about the feelings I experienced while reading this book. I highly recommend reading this awesome story!!!

Just Exes By Charity Ferrell – Review By Melissa Agena

Just ExesJust Exes by Charity Ferrell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A LEGIT PAGE TURNER!! Just Exes is a book written by Charity Ferrell and it is a great story! Lauren and Gage were high school sweethearts until it was time for college. Gage planned on following Lauren so that she could pursue her dreams to become a nurse. Lauren had other plans and decided that she wanted to go alone. So for years Gage has had built all of this hate toward her and then he moves back home to be with his dad. The first encounter these two had after all these years apart…Gage arrests Lauren. Then of course, all the feelings that they had for each other years ago start to come forward and things start to develop again. However, during the time apart Gage has become a different person. A person that Lauren doesn’t recognize anymore. Gage doesn’t want to let her in because he doesn’t want to taint her with all of his demons. But there is no stopping Lauren and when she wants something…she gets it. This is definitely a HEA and it has some seriously sexy scenes. Why yes, they were definitely hot! They were also very loving and very well written. I loved the characters in this book, both main and secondary. They were all likeable characters and I could relate to them as well. There were some tear jerker scenes that you really did need the tissues for. This book was so believable and it felt so real. I truly thought I was a part of the story line. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Special Agent Charli (Undercover FBI Book 6) by Mimi Barbour. While this is book 6 it can be read as a standalone without any questions or confusion. From page I was drawn into this story. Charli’s character is one that I immediately took a liking to, she’s a bit different than normal female main characters. A bit of a tougher nut to crack as she’s built walls high. All the characters in this story brought something unique and different to the story, even ones that I didn’t click with immediately still warmed their way into my heart by the end. They mystery of the story is well written and paced nicely, definitely left me on the edge of my seat more than once. I read this as a standalone but I definitely can’t wait to read the other in this series. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone.

Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series #1) by Via Mari ~ Review by Liz Vrchota

Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series, #1)Degrees of Innocence by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Via Mari was a completely new author to me when I first picked up Degrees of Innocence. I was drawn in by the gorgeous captivating cover and didn’t even need to read the blurb to know I had to find out what was written on the pages within. I was not disappointed one bit that I had scooped this up! Bonus, is that more of the series is already available to pick up so I will be bingeing on the series right after I finish this.

Degrees of Innocence is the kick off to the steamy Prestian Series. When I say steamy, I mean steamy, so make sure that is your thing, and that you are all good with some kinky stuff too. Think Fifty-Shades of Grey. Wait though, don’t jump too much to comparisons because this has its twists too. That will lie in the suspense layers of the story. None of which was predictable and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Katarina, or Kate but really I love Katarina, is such a girl next door. She has it all together internally and smarts wise. When it comes to love and social I think she has some major growing to do. Hence the Degrees of Innocence. She has the naiveté that needs to be broken and the sexy billionaire Chase Prestian is just the man to do it. There is just a few small hitches…

I can’t wait to find out what will happen next in book two, Degrees of Acceptance! Happy Reading!

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell ~ Review by Liz Vrchota

Just ExesJust Exes by Charity Ferrell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just Exes is not my first time reading Charity Ferrell’s work. She never fails to draw me into her novels and make me think about them long after I finish them. This one was no different, but I would have to say it made me a bit more frustrated than her others. I think I just had a more difficult time relating to the characters. It did not affect the book though, it was still fantastic and I would still recommend it along with her others.

In this one we get the story of Lauren and Gage. These two have a bit of a second chance romance thing going on. It is NOT an easy road to this second chance though, and I promise you that you will not see the type of heartbreak that will come for these two. I was shouting so many times at my kindle. These two just couldn’t communicate to save their souls. But anyways, it made for a great novel in the end ultimately and I was fascinated that they ended up where they did. I look forward to seeing where Charity takes us next.

Rescued By the Scot (Romancing the Spies #3) by Laura A. Barnes ~ Review by Liz Vrchota

Rescued By the Scot (Romancing the Spies #3)Rescued By the Scot by Laura A. Barnes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rescued by the Scot is the third and final book in the Romancing the Spies series from Laura A. Barnes. I would recommend that you read the novels in order even though it has been suggested that they can be read as standalones. They do overlap characters and have continuing storylines that make sense in ways that would not if you hadn’t read the previous two books prior to this one. I will say this is probably my favorite of the three books and it closed out the series in a well-rounded culmination. I would still like to make my suggestion that maybe a new addition of the novels with new covers be released someday. I just don’t think these fit, even for historical, and honestly are often deterrents for me to want to pick up novels that are often good books inside.

In Rescued by the Scot we find Skye looking for her brother and hoping that he is safe when and if he is found. She never saw what was coming nor did she expect to fall for the man she would capture in the process, Zane. To top it all off, she will be forced to give him up and risk breaking both of their hearts. What will happen for these two? Will they both survive with their lives and love intact?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just Exes was a very well-done second chance romance. It definitely gave me the feels. I experienced their heartbreak with them, felt the push and pull, the hesitation and love. Added to it are a couple of secrets that made me cry a bit. Even though I had started to figure some things out, it was still surprising and sad when everything was revealed. I really got into Lauren and Gage’s story. They deserved their happy ever after. In fact, it made me more interested to read Lauren’s brothers’ stories.

Casstiel; Born of Lightning: Dragon Shifter (Dragonland 52 Realms) – Review by Sarah Oakes

Casstiel; Born of Lightning: Dragon Shifter (Dragonkind ~ 52 Realms)Casstiel; Born of Lightning: Dragon Shifter by Sheri-Lynn Marean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great read about loss and love. Casstiel is a dragon shifter mourning the loss of his mate ten years ago. When the enemy rescues his friend Zales, he is hostile to them before realising one of them is tied to his essence. Desperate to be rid of it and join his mate in the afterlife, he tries to convince her. But it is really the right decision?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns out I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Cass struggling with grief while still doing his duty or Ashtura trying to fit in and discover herself. Great cast of supporting characters like the wise Zales or caring Saber or sweet Aries as a little kid. The use of locations in chapter titles was a terrific idea so the reader could follow the story when it changed location easily and picture it
A brillaint example of fantasy with different realms and languages and races of magical beings The list of names and pronounciations was a great addition.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel for example the use of colour especially in the dragons with vivid colours refs and greens and blues. Or the lightning and the sunset as something otherworldly but beautiful. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

This story pulled at my heart strings and had me mad at times Can these two have a relationship after they shared a past?I highly recommend reading this book. Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series, #1)Degrees of Innocence by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Degrees of Innocence (A Prestian Series Book 1) By Via Mari a good book! It is a story  with a little mystery and suspense, action and danger and humor, with a lot of hot and  steamy romance. Via’s attention to detail and her writing style find it to be an easy read  one that pulls at you and makes you fall in love with the characters. He is an alpha but  she puts him through his paces with her sassiness. The twists and turns you don’t  expect and the suspense adds that little bit more of excitement. I was so engrossed on  the story that I wasn’t sure how I found myself on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to  see what happens in the next book!

The Sound of Love (The Sound series #1)The Sound of Love by Maria Watts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Sound of Love by Maria Watts is a well written story that is frustrating and  infuriating, but one that you have to know how it ends. Our main character Chris is a  heart breaking member of a boy band that you love along with everybody else. Nina is a  naive schoolgirl with a good life set out in front of her. It is a story about falling in love  for the first time, but the further into the story I got the more I found that all that  glitters is not gold and all is not as it seems.

Just ExesJust Exes by Charity Ferrell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just Exes was a good 4 star read.

The story starts with Lauren being accused of starting her apartment on fire, when her landlord calls the police she is shocked to see who shows up. He’s back in town?

Gage has been avoiding Lauren since he returned to town, but when he showed up to a possible arson he is surprised to see who the accused is. I have to say I had a LOL moment when he cuffed her and took her away.

Lauren broke Gage’s heart years ago and he’s never gotten over her. Gage also has some very heartbreaking demons from his past that he has been carrying with him. My heart broke for him and what he went through.

Now that these two have reconnected can they get back what they once had? What will Gage do if he finds out why she broke his heart?

My emotions were all over the place with this second chance romance. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I really liked both Gage and Lauren even if I didn’t always agree with some choices they made. The things these two have gone through really tugged at my heart strings. I loved how Lauren gave as good as she got it from Gage, I had some lol moments. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to what’s coming next.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Book 3) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Maura Harper

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is book 3 in the Southern Promises Series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone.

This is the story of the 6′ 5″ 235 lb male specimen named Tim (as I was reading, I pictured Brock O’Hurn or Danny Jones) and a young mother of 4 daughters named Jessica. Both Tim and Jessica had sweet personalities and they were a fun couple to read about.

As with all of the other books I’ve read written by this author, this was a quick – easy to read story. Georgia Pine contained a few funny moments, a lot of realism (what mom hasn’t given herself a time out) and emotions. There were a few people who I wanted to “punch in the throat” and one really cool friend who I wish was my bestie also.

The story line is well developed with a very defined beginning, middle and end and I never doubted where this story was going to end. Exactly as I was hoping it would.

I absolutely recommend this author, this series, and this book.

Beneath A Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Moriah Venable

Beneath a Blue Moon (Crescent City Wolf Pack, #2)Beneath a Blue Moon by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beneath a Blue Moon is the second novel in the Crescent City Wolf Pack series by Carrie Pulkinen. This is my second novel by this author.

When Chase Beauchamp gets the assignment to investigate a witch, he is not thrilled about it, considering his hatred for them, but with a string a murders occurring in the French Quarters, he does the assignment. But when his wolf wants to claim her as his mate, things could get a little messy.

Following the events of the last book, Luke and Chase go wedding cake tasting for the upcoming wedding. At first sight, Chase feels drawn to the witch who owns the bakery and it unsure if she can be trusted.

Rain Connolly just wants to get rid of the hex and not be a outcast and when she meets Chase, sparks fly. She has spent the past seven year trying to unbound her powers and see Chase as to way to finally do it.

But will the two be able to be together?

With the introduction of Chase in the first book, I was excited to have a book about him and get more of his backstory. I was curious as to why he didn’t like witches and how that feeling would hinder his growing feeling for Rain as well as how that would affect their relationship.

Rain I felt wasn’t so flip flop like the heroine in the first novel and that she owned a bakery which I felt was also different. I generally don’t see a lot characters that are witches own bakeries. She was determined and was very interest character to read about.

Like the first book, I enjoyed the mystery and was hooked from the beginning. While this is a standalone and doesn’t have to read in order, there are some small events that may be mentioned as well as characters that may have their own book later on.

For fans of paranormal romance, I highly recommend this series.

Special Agent Charli (Undercover FBI Book 6)
By Mimi Barbour
5 Stars

Special Agent Charli by Mimi Barbour is the sixth installment of the Undercover FBI series. This story is a suspenseful, romance thriller which can be read as a standalone. With the scene in the first chapter, I was completely hooked into the storyline and couldn’t stop reading to find out what would happen. This is the story of Charli Madison and Blake Sebastian. Charli is an undercover FBI agent that is getting ready to leave on vacation when she ends up involved in a protection detail of a young girl that witnesses a crime. In comes Blake, also a law enforcement officer that will assist her during the protection order. Blake reeks of Alpha male all over, he is a ladies man and seems to be getting Charli’s attention but not in a good way. They need to set aside the tension between them to make sure the killer does not succeed in getting to the protected witness. While protecting the young witness, will Blake be able to get into Charli’s heart? Will they both succeed in catching the killer on the loose? This story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Both main characters had so much tension and chemistry that is was bouncing of the walls. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading the other books from this series.

This was an absolutely amazing read! I am quite new to this type of genre and I wasn’t sure if I would like it but oh my gosh I did! I loved every second that I read. I was hooked from the very first page until the end. The author took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. The story was full of love, loss, action, drama, heartache and so much more. The story was so well written, the pace and flow were excellent and the glossary at the beginning was a great addition to the story – it meant I wasn’t guessing the meanings of some of the words. I really liked Casstiel and the journey he went on to find his true love after she was murdered. There were some really good twists in the story too which made it even more exciting to read and I liked that I didn’t see them coming! Ashara was a good character too and I did feel for her a little. I enjoyed reading about the journey that Casstiel and Ashara went on together.
I thought this story really was a great read; the author descriptive language almost brought the story to life! I absolutely recommend this story – it was a brilliant 5 star read!

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is Book 3 in the Southern Promises Series from author KG Fletcher. This is my third read from this author and will most definitely not be my last.

This author writing style was captivating, easy flowing and easy to read. The characters that K.G. Fletcher has created are wonderful they are real, relatable and very lovable.

Even though these books are part of a series, they can be read as standalone as in each book we follow new main characters on their journey through this book, but just to get a feel at how incredible these series is I’d recommend that you read in order. But with each book in this series, each one seems to be getting better and better.

In this read, we follow the journey and story of Jessica & Tim After meeting Jessica in Book 2 I’m so glad that I get to experience her story and her chemistry and connection with Tim grow. This book takes you on a rollercoaster of emotion and has me feeling all the feels. They are relatable, real characters that I loved reading about. Their chemistry was undeniable and was inspirational and brilliant from the get-go.

We cannot forget to mention the secondary characters that come into this read. They just help make this read even better, and they help bring out our main characters and just make this read better as a whole.

I cannot wait to see what else this author could bring for the series.
This is an incredibly captivating and compelling read that should not be missed, I highly recommend it!

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is the third book in KG Fletcher’s Southern Promises and by far my favorite! Having loved the first two books in this stand alone series so much, I went into Georgia Pine blind on the faith that regardless of what the book was about, I was sure to love it. I couldn’t have been more excited when I found out that this book was about Jessica and her family and I really couldn’t be more pleased with how the story played out.
Georgia Pine has everything I could hope for in a story, so heartwarming I felt like my heart was swelling at times, then the tears, there were definitely tears. As if the emotion in these pages weren’t enough, we can’t forget to take into consideration the passion between Jessica and Tim. The more I type, the more I wonder if 5 stars is even enough?
The characters, as I’ve come to expect with KG Fletcher’s writing, were strong and memorable. I mean in just the second book Jessica and her beautiful blond girls made a lasting impression! I loved how characters still tied into this story too even if the book didn’t seem as intertwined as the first two books.
I could sit here gushing over Georgia Pine forever so I’ll wrap it up, but I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves a good, heartfelt romance.

Every Breath You Take (Bayou Devils MC 3)Every Breath You Take by A.M. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can’t tell you enough on how obsessed I am with this series. I have literally consumed books 1-3 at an alarming rate and I have loved every minute of it. I have learned that A.M. Myer’s will exceed my expectations with each book. She has a beautiful way to weaving a beautiful story with twists and turns that will have you at the edge of your seat.

Tatum was an amazing character to read. She’s strong and a fighter and the perfect match for Lincoln (Kodiak). She always has a way of persevering through any situation until she lost someone close to her. Kodiak had to grow up fast to take care of his family and he keeps a lot of things to himself which makes him hard to read and quite the bad boy. I promise you’ll fall for him fast!

I love how the characters in this series have their flaws but find their perfect match with someone who also has their flaws. I love how they are perfectly imperfect which makes it all more realistic. This series / book needs to be one everyone’s must read list!

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell is a truly emotional, heartfelt and poignant romance! It’s by far my favourite by this author and if I could I would certainly rate it more than a 5-star. It was a phenomenal story that captivated me from the start. I got so swept up in the storyline that I ended up reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. Gage and Lauren’s relationship is complex and full of so many secrets, yet their chemistry remains just as strong as ever.

Just Exes is truly a never a dull moment read, there was always something going on which kept me on my toes and fully engaged. I was filled with so many emotions while reading their story, emotions that had me in tears, emotions that had my heart breaking and emotions that had me feeling hopeful for the two of them. Their story is one I won’t soon forget.

I would absolutely recommend this book to others, it’s a romance read that should not be missed! I’m already looking forward to diving in to my next Charity Ferrell novel!

Georgia Pine is book 3 in the Southern Promises series and is by far my favorite! This story is about second chances and about never giving up. I love that while this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. Each story is about a different couple. Georgia Pine is about Tim and Jessica. Their first encounter is so funny to the mom in me. Who doesn’t need a self-imposed time out?! Having four children under 7 myself, this mom’s situation stuck a chord with me. Luckily my gardener was my husband! Sorry, I digress.

K.G. Fletcher has a writing style that keeps me entertained. While some parts of the story were clearly fictional, where a reader could escape, like surviving a divorce with enough money to not have to work or worry! Other parts hit home, making a reader able to relate to the characters, hiding away from an embarrassing situation. What a character Tim is! Big, strong, yummy, determined, dedicated Tim. And Jessica, sweet, caring, beautiful, funny…I may have a slight girl crush!

I enjoyed the ride these two take trying to get to their happily even after. Definitely recommend this book.

That Voodoo That You do (Chateau Rouge Book 1) by Jolie St. Amant ~ Review by Liz Vrchota

That Voodoo That You Do (Chateau Rouge Book 1)That Voodoo That You Do by Jolie St. Amant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That Voodoo That You Do is the first three books in one collection for you to enjoy in one sitting of Jolie St. Amant’s Chateau Rouge novellas. I personally have loved every single one of them. Each are short but jammed packed stories promising to satisfy your hunger for that bedtime story or afternoon escape, much like it did for myself.

Dream A Little Dream of Me is the first novella in the set. It features Josey Jacobson who owns the Chateau Rouge, and this is how we are introduced to the gorgeous background for most of the upcoming stories to come, as well as the vibrant streets of New Orleans. We also get to know the handsome Archer, and well it’s a short story so you will just have to see what happens for yourself…

The second to come is, Hard Hearted Hannah. Another vibrant and detailed short gives us the story of Hannah and Julien. Both come alive off the screen of your kindle and promise to intrigue you with their story. I personally found theirs to be my favorite story of the three in the collection. They just seemed to keep me on the edge of my seat the most.

Last, but most certainly not least, is A Kiss to Build a Dream On. It is an explosive way to complete the set. At only 83 pages, again it is short but wow is it one heck of a story. In this one we meet Chloe. There is more of the mystery and intrigue throughout to keep you well engaged, and enough paranormal to have you questioning the bumps in the night after you finish the last pages. I personally can’t wait to see what will come next for Chateau Rouge and from Jolie St. Amant!

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Book 3) by K.G. Fletcher

5++++++ Stars
WOW…This book deserves so so so many more stars than just the normal max 5!!

So this is my third read by this author, I’ve read the first two in this series and loved them, they were fantastic, but let me just say that this one……. Oh.Em.Gee!! Holy Emotions, and WOW!!!

After reading the first two it only took me a couple pages to remember and know who this book was about. I loved every single word and the storyline was out of this world fantastic.

What can I say about Tim, well I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he is now firmly and forever in my all time top 5 book boyfriends. He stole my heart in the first couple pages and he never let go.

“To fail is human, but it’s not fatal. It’s courage that counts.”

**sigh**

I kept looking at my reading speed while I went along and kept saying to myself..slow down you don’t want this to end and that was right from the start because you can just tell when a book is going to affect you that way. Then it happened…at about 75% in…my heart took a beating for the last 25% of this book, now don’t get me wrong it was awesome all the way to that point, the buildup was written perfectly..but then the ugly, breath catching, nose blowing eyes swelling crying began. The emotions this author brought out through this whole book, yea I felt them all.

I already want to read it again, heck I want to read them all again, they were all that good but Georgia Pine is no doubt my absolute favorite of the 3.

Not sure how she could ever top this but no doubt I will be first in line for anything this author writes.

Seriously people…Read this book, I’m not even kidding…Correction…Read them all!! You won’t be sorry!

Eye of the Storm (Gray Ghost #2)Eye of the Storm by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Eye of the Storm is the second book on the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. The action started in the first sentence and didn’t let up until the very end, I enjoyed every minute of it.

Chris is amazing and I’m not just saying that because he shares a name with my husband. Even injured he did what he needed to do to take care of Mari and the situation they found themselves in.

Mari is the epitome of strength and bravery. She seriously had a set and I loved her for it.

When I started this series I wasn’t sure how much I would like it. You read one military special ops books you’ve read them all right? Not in this series. Can’t quite put my finger on what make it different in my mind. I just know I will be following this series until the end.

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell – Review by Jana Teppih

Just ExesJust Exes by Charity Ferrell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just Exes is a second chances story by Charity Ferrell. It is not really part of any series but still, the heroine is the little sister of Hudson and Dallas who we met in Just Her Bodyguard and Just One Night where we also got the first glimpses of her. So go ahead and read it as a standalone and I am sure if you have read Hudson and Dallas’ books then you know what the writer might have in store for us!
Just Exes is the story of Lauren Barnes (aka Satan as she is called by one of Gage’s friends) and Gage Perry. These two were each other loves in high school and for some reason Lauren broke up with him, for no reason!!! I really did not like that we had to wait sooo long into the story to find out what the reason was and …. Hmm… was it really worth 10 years of separation?! Well, maybe, we humans are very bad at dealing with our issues so who the heck knows…
There is a lot of pain in this story, pain that goes back for years … it also gives us a rollercoaster story that leaves you at the edge of your seat until you come to the last page … and it is not just Lauren and Gage that make the story but also all those crazy and entertaining support characters aka friends! I hope the writer will give us more stories where we can meet up with them or maybe some of them get their own story! What else does one need than more secrets and deception and love, first chances or second …

Just Exes
By Charity Ferrell
☆☆☆☆☆
This is what happens when you mix friendship with romance. This book is all about second chances.

Lauren works as a nurse at the local hospital. She is trying to get on her feet and better herself. Her apartment is burned down and she has been blamed. Her landlord wants her charged for the fire. Because she was wanting out of the lease. Problem with this is she was not even home the time of the fire. She also is struggling with dating, as it is not for her. She had her chance and she let him go.

Gage transfers to the police department, in his hometown. So he can be near his father. When called out to arrest someone for starting the fire, he discovers it Lauren. The woman that broke his heart all those years ago. He still is angry at her, but he also still loves her.

Charity Ferrell has written a fun and funny story of second chances. I love the characters in her story. This story caught my interest of page one and I could not put it down. It has so many feels, love, hate, romance, suspense and tears. Just the right amount of angst to keep you reading. Way to go Charity Ferrell

Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Heather Bahm

Degrees of Innocence (Prestian Series, #1)Degrees of Innocence by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Via Mari’s first book in the Prestian series is Degrees of Innocence. Being the first novel read by the author, I always look for something solid that sets up that story to be great, whether it’s the characters, the story line or the detail that is written in. In Degrees of Innocence, Via Mari captures all of that and more. This book is tastefully written to include the intriguing suspense that tugs and pulls throughout. The erotic undertones are ever present, but tame where needed and emotionally burning right where it should. The author has exceeded in sharing a story/series that is cleanly written with amazing characters, a challenging story line.
