Noémie’s Journey AUDIO BOOK by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is my first audio book by this author which I enjoyed from beginning to end.  I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the narrator’s tone of voice.  I also enjoyed how they kept it engaging for me.  The characters are not only connectable but the narrator also did a great job of bringing them to life.  This is a story about Noemie and Richard.  They are opposites, one running from the past and the other trying to make a future.  What will fate have in store for these two?  Can love find a way or will it be nothing but heartbreak?  I really liked both of these characters and their chemistry together.  It is a great romance story that I highly recommend.  It is not only worth listening to but it will keep you listening to the end.

Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet, Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Bethany Rollins

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Love’s Refrain is the first book I’ve read by K.G. Fletcher and it was just a decent read for me. The story was nice but I got a bit bored with the descriptions of everything. Just too long winded for what I typically enjoy reading so I felt it could have been a more concise story. I was hoping to get absorbed into the story based on all the positive reviews, but I personally struggled to continue reading but I persevered to finished it. I just did not get all the feelings the other reviewers alluded to. With this mentioned, the overall story line was good, with an unconventional love story that goes from past to present.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Goddess of Everything: A Blood-Curdling Tale of Truth, Freedom, and Love by Paul DeBlassie III is truly an intense supernatural thriller. It follows Gabriel’s life upon losing his father, blindly trusting his mother, and having married his wife Consuela all while being a seer and working with children who have experienced extreme trauma. Goddess of Everything will shock you, want to make you cry and will keep you at the edge of your seat. This book is not for the faint hearted and tackles some very controversial subjects but I would not shy away from the book. Great suspenseful read.

Home to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #1)Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flockman managed to develop characters that were relatable to anyone who’s spent time in a small town within an unbelievably short amount of time. Bunya Junction became a place I wanted to visit almost immediately. My emotions shifted with the storyline from sadness to joy to a bit of nervous tension. Tragedy turned into happiness in a way that gives hope to anyone who has experienced loss of their own. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Why We Don’t Die in Dreams: Book 1 by Debbie Zello – Review by Sara Oxton

Why we don't die in DreamsWhy we don’t die in Dreams by Debbie Zello
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Why we don’t die in dreams by Debbie Zello a fantastic five-star read. This was so good, but I need number two right this moment, there are so many things I want to say about this story, but I do not dare as, I don’t want to ruin the story, it’s a powerful twisty story that will keep you on your toes. There are details in this story, that will shock some, and had me stopping at times, but it’s so very good that you do keep going and going until the last page where you are left wondering. Do not miss this great story, and the one that better follow.

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was honestly such an amazing read. It was beautifully written and I was completely captivated from the very first page. The author transported me back in time to 1947 and even with the switching of time period I wasn’t confused at all. The planning that clearly went in to this story shone through as it was seamlessly written. I loved the characters Kat and Phillip – their story was so sweet and I just loved reading about them. Their story wasn’t all plain sailing and I was so invested in what I was reading about them that I was rooting for them the whole way through.

I don’t think 5 stars is enough for this story, it truly was an amazing read and I cannot recommend it enough to other readers. Love’s refrain is a fantastic story with brilliant characters and was a truly wonderful read! I cannot wait for book 2!

Forever: A Diamond Doms Novel by Ivy Nelson – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Forever: A Diamond Doms NovelForever: A Diamond Doms Novel by Ivy Nelson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The series brought so much feelings truly as things went through. I found the ending for this book, as very satisfying after like say a good night! The feelings I had felt as I read through were real and the novel and the characters it brought to life were more than words can say.

Russell and Gemma were truly remarkable as well as both being two of a kind. They both have their secrets within their souls and their own darkness they keep hidden. Perhaps the truth is they wanted one another more than they ever wanted anyone or well anything? The truth of their secrets prevented them going after what could very well be more than just true passion, but perhaps the thongs keeping them apart were the true things that would bring them together?

For me the characters and the suspenseful drama was freaking amazing. I wont lie, I truly loved the hot sex scenes as well as the BDSM the novel gave willingly with my consent haha. It was freaking good to read and it gave more than just good sex, it gave the drama and as the other things that go with it. It was a thrilling read in more ways than one, I connected with and felt all what the characters did!

This was the ending to the book series. It gave a lot and I mean a lot in more ways than one. It was a novel you could really dive into and feel everything for! It was amazing in more than one way, and it is one that ended really perfect. I highly recommend this amazing author, for sure worth reading!

The Last Danann (Titanian Chronicles, Book 3) by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Lorrene Huisman

The Last Danann: Titanian Chronicles 2The Last Danann: Titanian Chronicles 2 by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This novel was the second in the series and I will say I need to go back and read the prior novel. I was very impressed with all components of this novel, inside and out. It gave me a lot, and the visual effects were very much welcomed, the story was not only convincing, but also powerful!

I loved Kailen! He was a total bass ass. He had his battle scars as well. he was a person and character I truly fell for and felt for! He was doing all he could to help his world, no matter at the end what would be left of him, he knew it would all be worth it. He is doing a battle to save his world, which was beautifully as it was described. He was ready for what ever came his way, or was he? He has a fragile heart, his soul mate was lost to him in a very breaking his heart way and he truly felt that he would never love again, as the pain is not bearable enough to endure once again. Perhaps the universe had other plans though?

Talaith was look more than the eyes when Kailen met her, for his eyes saw her soul. Every part of him said that he will not want her or feel for her. Could he deny the true attraction he was feeling despite the promise he made to himself? I loved the drama this book brought as well as the suspense. Rooting for Kailen and Talaith to find the destiny they seemed meant for was me since their first meet. I loved the world of the fantasy this novel delivered. It was brilliant, I can not find a better word to use!

The book was captivating and stunning with descriptions as well as the words of the writing! The book was amazing from start to finish. This was a first time author read for me, I am left wanting to read so much more by this amazing author, and I defiantly will! This book was so good and seriously you need to read this book, for all it is worth and all that it is! Pure brilliance!

This is a sweet and steamy romance. I loved the character of Kayla. She is a single mum who’s main focus is her daughter. That is until she spots a nice ass.

That ass belongs to Tanner and what Kayla doesn’t realise is that he has had his eye on her for a while. Working across from her apartment he has seen her often and wants to get to know her.

As there attention grows the flirty encounters turns into a no string attached agreement. Both of them get what they need with no complications.

In true romance fashion this agreement doesn’t last and as they spend more time together and feelings grown. Can they actually make a relationship work?
When a huge hurdle in the shape of Kayla’s ex returns into her life wanting her back who will Kayla choose. The Rock star ex who broke her heart or the sweet man who has slowly been winning her heart day by day.

Wrong for Him (The Love Lottery Series Book 3) by Christi Barth – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Wrong for Him (Love Lottery, #3)Wrong for Him by Christi Barth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series, with all that is within me, the author always brings together characters that mold perfectly together in more than one way. I love always the work they put into to reach the ending of their books for their characters. This one very much full of heart and a very happy wonderful read!

For me the story meshed super well together in more ways than one. Amelia had had real feelings for her brother’s best friend, Teague for quite some time. She always knew it would be a crime to pursue, but can you really deny matters of the heart? Fate brings them together on a project set for the community. Unexpected to them both is that they both feel something real, and both seemed reluctant to act upon because they both knew what was at risk. Perhaps though this was what was meant to be all along and finally they both were getting the happiness they both so very much deserved.

I loved the characters straight up. I loved more though what came with those characters It be it their interests or more defiantly their pasts. I found back story really made Teague and Amelia whom they were. It made the story so much more powerful and very real. I honestly loved this book.

The book was very well written and it was very well done. I can say i very much enjoyed it and was overly impressed with the writing techniques that brought the story to life! It was a good read, and it really convinced me on all aspects, I would say this is for sure a novel worth reading!

Loved the character development in this book. When Lauren stumbles upon the murder of her boss, unraveling the layers of Judge Murphy’s life only unfolds new mysteries about the woman Lauren thought she knew. It takes the help of everyone around her to keep Lauren from falling apart as the police close in on Judge Murphy’s killer. Everyone from the bakery shop owner to the old lady neighbor and the slew of characters in between were easy and fun to read about, with a few surprises and twisted along the way. This book kept me guessing until the end.

Forever is the ninth book in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson and the last book in the series. This is the first book I have read of Ivy’s, and I apparently started at the end of the series so now I must go back and start at the beginning. But I do not consider it a hardship. Nope, who doesn’t like to read some hot and steamy romps with hot and sexy men and sassy women. Club Solitaire is a BDSM club that these men started. Each character has a story outside and inside of the club and their own book, but they all interlink and are involved with each story. Make sure you start with book 1 to read more about these Doms and their submissive.

Wrong for Him (The Love Lottery Series Book 3) by Christi Barth – Review by Angela Hayes

Wrong for Him (Love Lottery, #3)Wrong for Him by Christi Barth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wrong For Him is the third book in the Love Lottery series by Christi Barth. This isn’t my first read from Ms. Barth- but it turned out to be my favourite (so far). I have come into this series at the back end, woops- something I do quite regularly, lol. Again, I was caught up by the blurb and failed to notice that it was the third and final book in the series. But, having said that, I never felt as though I was missing anything by not having read the other instalments first. Although now my curiosity has bee piqued, and having enjoyed this book, I will definitely be grabbing a copy of the other two books to read too.
I have to admit though that the story was just a little slow to get going and it did take me a little while to ‘get into’ and connect with the characters- but once I did, the story took off.
This is a bit of a mix of romance ‘tropes’- as there is a friends to lovers, brother’s best friend, and secret romance/relationship blend happening here. This combination worked really well and I loved the added angst, drama, and emotion that this recipe brought to the table.
I will definitely be keeping my eye out for Ms Barth’s next book release to jump into…

Thank you, Christi Barth!

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Angela Hayes

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Girl and the Demon is the third book in The Girl and the Raven series by Pauline Gruber. As this is the third book in the series and continues the story that we started back in Book One, I highly recommend reading the first two books before diving into this one. There is a whole lot of important information, character details and development in those first two books which will enhance your reading experience of this book, and the series as a whole.
As with the other two books, this is a very original YA paranormal adventure- with witches, gargoyles, demons, magic, good vs evil, danger, agendas, friendship, drama, challenges, and a little romance- all wrapped up in a well-developed, complex, and multi-layered plot.
The adventure continues as Lucy (and friends) are tested on a whole new level- with the most powerful demon drawn into the mix. What happens makes for a captivating read! I certainly hope there are more books planned for this series!
Happy reading!

Thank you, Pauline Gruber!

The Bastard Prince (It's Raining Royals, #2)The Bastard Prince by Alix Nichols
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Bastard Prince is the second book in the ‘It’s Raining Royals’ series by Alix Nichols. This is the second book in the series, and I really recommend reading the first book before starting on this one, as even though each book focuses on a different ‘couple’- there is an overarching story which connects the instalments. I reallly liked the first book- but have enjoyed this one even more.
As with the first book, this is a romantic comedy- with a little angst, drama, adventure, and intrigue. The story continues the quest for the keys to saving the (secret) kingdom- and I happily set off on the adventure alongside the characters.
It is another light-hearted and fun read that really captured my imagination…
Looking forward to Book #3!

Thank you, Alix Nichols!

This is one of the best supernatural romances I have read! The story line is not one that has been over played again and again. And the characters are easy to fall in love with. You want to get to know each of them and as you read through the book you can. I am excited too read the next book and learn more about those characters we have been introduced to in this book as well. I feel Danielle is a force to be reckoned with and vulture is sexy as all get out! Loved this book!!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Saratoga Roan by Bree M. Lewandowski starts off slow but builds up steam. There is so much detail written into the storyline I feel like I know what it is like to work on a horse ranch in Wyoming. The emotions of Rhett and Cassandra come across so strongly that I could feel myself getting frustrated or yearning for something to happen just like the characters were. This book does a wonderful job illustrating that things are not always what they seem. This felt like the beginning of a story that needs a series to continue expanding on all of the different characters and their relationship to one another.

What a great read by Seelie Kay! I really enjoy the way she writes! Her books are always easy to follow and keep you wanting more. Donovan is a super likable character! He’s handsome, successful and a gentleman! So why would someone want him dead? Even though it may better to keep his secret if he could die. After 2 attempts something has to be done. Trying to find the person responsible is like looking for a needle in a haystack! I have already started book 2!

I was so eager to read book 2 I started it and finished it in the same day! I had to know what happened with the Vampire Coalition. I will definitely be looking at more of Seelie Kay’s books!

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journey’s Through Book 1) by James Talisman Review by Melissa Saxton.

An amazing Sci-Fi and Fantasy Journey awaits as you transverse the Multiverse theory. A strange and mysterious voice visits multiple individuals from multiple universes with the same mysterious message. The message is cryptic, but they all have to find out what it means for them and how they are all connected to combat a evil force.

This book is an art form in how the characters are developed, giving you all the details necessary to both fall in love with characters, or have strong feelings of dislike in only short passages as you learn every characters backstory and how they tie into this journey.

Tying together all of these individuals stories is masterful, and kept me hooked and wanting to learn more. The book is definitely complex, and you will find yourself deep into the story with time passing quickly as you devour this story. Fans of science fiction, fantasy, dystopian societies, will all enjoy this story as it completely bends your basic understanding of the universe.

I was immediately looking for book 2 as soon as I finished the last page!

The Last Danann is the third book in the Titanian Chronicles by Victoria Saccenti. This is such a fantastic series- with wonderfully descriptive writing and clever details that really brought the story to life. The author’s world building being both imaginative and well-constructed, which resulted in a richly vivid tale. As with the other two books, this is fantasy done well- with action, adventure, a little mystery, drama, danger, paranormal elements, supernatural beings, intrigue, tension, mythology, evil sorcerers, magic, and so much more.
If you haven’t read the other two books in this series, I highly recommend that you do so before starting on this story as there are connected characters and details that you will want to know about before diving into this book.
I really hope this isn’t the last we will see of the Titanian ‘world’ and Chronicles…. Looking forward to seeing what Victoria Saccenti does next.

Forever is the ninth book in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson. I seem to have a habit of jumping into a series a bit backwards as when I started this book, I hadn’t noticed that it was the ninth, and final, book in the series. I was taken in by the intriguing blurb, one-clicking and diving in before I realised that I was coming in at the wrong end lol.
So, having said that, I really recommend reading this series from the beginning, to get the full information package of character introductions, as well as the bridging ‘mystery’ that spans the series, and the other intriguing details that I am sure would enhance your reading experience even more.
This is a contemporary romance with a sexy and erotic storyline that set my kindle on fire. The story is not for the faint of heart though- as it has some reallly intense BDSM scenes that may be too much for some readers. But, there is more to the story than just the sizzle and steam- there is mystery, tension, suspense, danger, adventure, action, and plenty of dramatic developments that had me flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I couldn’t put it down, reading the entire book in one session…… what a ride!
Even though I have come in at the end and have witnessed all the threads being tied up, I will definitely be going back to the beginning and reading the series as a whole to find out what played out previously. I am also adding Ms. Nelson to my ‘must read’ authors list.

Thank you, Ivy Nelson!

WOW!!! Gabriel de LaTierra can see things, after his father passes, he tells him that he may come in many forms but will always be watching over him. Gabriel’s mother, Juana,…is evil incarnate. She is Mother Superior of an orphanage where Gabriel (a therapist for the county) sends children who are lost and needy.
The feelings that came with reading this book can be overwhelming. Children are abused, innocent people killed, all for the sake of keeping Mother Juana young and virile. Her hold on her son is more than just a mother’s love for her son. She resents that Gabriel got married to his wife, Consuela. Consuela gently tries to pull Gabriel from his mother, his work should not drain him as much as it does. Her love is unconditional, can she get through to Gabriel before it is too late?
Not necessarily a book I would pick up and read, but am so glad I did. Again…WOW!!

Wow! The author really knows how to bring a series together. This book brings all of the crew (family) together in a brilliant finale. Russell and Gemma are very strong characters and their ‘play’ walks a very fine line. One slip and it could be considered abuse. The writing is very clear that all parts are consensual though and the author balances the scenes with gentle moments. There is action, drama, self-discovery and lots of sexy scenes. I highly recommend this book and the whole series – it will not disappoint.

I will admit at the beginning, I was feeling very iffy with the storyline and it seemed very strange to me, but as I kept reading I was completely enraptured and entranced. This was such a beautiful story the author told. I know the author says it’s based on around a movie or inspired by a movie, but I have never seen the movie so I was completely surprised at the storyline of this book. I cried while reading. It was so heartbreaking and so romantic it completely took me through the wringer of emotions. I’m so glad there’s going to be a sequel featuring Kat and Phillip!

This is a book of second chances, a contemporary romance which celebrates growth, love and loss in a relationship. After 5 years of break up, Cassandra and Rhett come face to face with each other, Cassandra wanting to give it a second shot and Rhett blaming her for breaking the relationship. Rhett has too much on his hands and the hurt and anger he feels towards her is understandable. How the two characters mature, understand each other and let the hard feelings go forms the central piece of this beautiful romance. I especially liked the way the two lead characters are portrayed, their hurt, their anguish and eventually the growth. It is a gradual process.
I enjoyed this romance, it was a good read.

Donovan is a vampire lawyer who finds his match in Judge Shirley. They fall for each other and in order to be together they agree to have Shirley go through treatments to turn her. There is something else they have to agree to as well but they get an unexpected surprise on their wedding day.

This is where the story really takes off and the Vampire Coalition are furious with them. What will happen if the coalition captures them? Will they get a HEA?

Overall this was a great read, we get suspense, action, and so much more. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next.
