Such a good story. El and Will have such great chemistry. El just wants to put her music out there but her parents don’t think she can handle the spotlight. Will is trying everything he can to help his mom get the care that she needs, but falling for his dad’s step daughter was not a part of the plan. He just can’t seem to resist the pull towards El and the music that they create together. What will happen when El finds out who he really is and why he is there? I can’t wait to read the next book in the Falling for the Rockstar’s Daughter series.

OMG! The tension, the chemistry, the story, the characters!! I was not prepared for the way it ended. I am a WE follower.

Melodie “El” is the daughter of a famous opera singer and a rock-n-roll megastar. This puts El in the spotlight on a regular basis, but also puts her in danger and causes her to be a popular target of the paparazzi. El grew up sheltered and protected. El has a dream of performing but her parents say no. She is determined to find a way.

Wil comes to the US for one reason, to find his sperm donor who just happens to be a famous rockstar. By chance, Wil meets El in a bar where she is attempting to perform. Wil helps El in that moment, starting a budding friendship. El is Wil’s way to the sperm donor.

As the friendship grows, so do El and Wil’s feelings for each other. As a bonus, El’s confidence on stage has blossomed. Wil and El start a working relationship, Wil’s words with El’s music. The songs are amazing and soulful. As El’s parents start making decisions for her and lessen her chances of breaking away, El and Wil make some big changes.

Once El and Wil meet and have that moment on stage, there is no letting this pair go. There is so much to like about this. Except the ending. I wasn’t expecting it. It is not bad but I didn’t realize. I wasn’t ready. It was just so…….I wasn’t ready. But I do know I will be anxiously waiting for WE Breathe.

Defying Ella (True Platinum Series Book 4) by Morgana Bevan – Review by Kiana Corley

Defying EllaDefying Ella by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was a fantastic book to read. You get the chance to watch a character develop into more than you think. This book made me laugh and get frustrated along with the characters.

This book follows the story of Ella and Jared. Jared, the bad boy drummer with a line of waiting and willing women. Ella is a woman that loves her family and is conflicted about her feelings.

What happens when you stick two hot heads in a secluded location with no escape? Will old habits come back to bite them? Will they learn to be friends and leave the past in the past?

Read this book to follow this love-hate relationship. It is filled with a lot of spice for you spice lovers as well. Keep a glass of water to keep you cool during arguments and spice.

Boss’s Vendetta (Sicilian Gods Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Skylar Daniels

Boss's Vendetta: Dark Mafia Romance (Sicilian Gods Book 1)Boss’s Vendetta: Dark Mafia Romance by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially since it’s the first book that I’ve read from this author, and was not disappointed. It’s a dark, mafia romance book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dark, mafia romance books. I was not able to kit this book down until I had finished from beginning to end in one sitting.
A ruthless mafia boss with a score to settle. A sassy heroine who’s not getting away. Will any chance at love survive the aftermath?
We knew the bloodbath was possible, just not when or how our enemies would strike. In a heart-wrenching minute of blazing guns, the responsibility of getting retribution for the savage Italian Crime Family falls to me, Salvatore Larussio.
The fair-skinned beauty should focus on doing as she’s told and been trained to do. Suture and bandage quickly to stem the flow of Larussio blood. Instead, Natasha boldly defies me, trying to appeal to decency that after today no longer exists.
A man surrounded by fear and deception can sense it, feel it, and smell it in the air. There’s far more to Adrianna underneath that icy exterior than she wants me or anyone to know. Despite that, she calls to my tainted soul as though she were put on earth just for me.
When I force the hot-tempered beauty to reveal her secrets, it can be our undoing, or a means to an end for a newly appointed Larussio King.
Or a revelation that will kill even the deepest of love.
Boss’s Vendetta is the explosive first book in the Sicilian Gods series by Via Mari. It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, mafia romance. You will love these novels where the passion is fiery, the loyalty is fierce, and the stakes are high. Each book is a standalone that focuses on different couples in each book. They all have a guaranteed happily ever after, at the conclusion.
I’m excited to see where the author takes this series. I will be reading more of her books shortly.

This is the first book in the graver digger academy series. This book had me so invested into it from the very first page of the book. I loved every second of it. I was not able to put the book down until I had finished it from start to finish and it had to be done in one sitting.
There is a reason why people don’t believe in monsters and it’s not because zombies, vampires, mummies, and ghosts don’t exist…
Welcome to Grave Digger Academy- the last place anyone wants to end up.
It’s Makayla’s first year in the paranormal academy system. When all three of the schools she applies to deny her entry, there’s only one left. Unfortunately, she’s more interested in finding a way out of Grave Digger Academy than in learning its curriculum.
Gravediggers actually do the digging. Grave Diggers, however, keep buried bodies where they belong—six feet under.
This year’s students are about to learn corpses can be temperamental, and when the dead refuse to cooperate, there’s Hell to pay.
Im excited to read the other books in this series in the near future.

Oliver: A Story about AdoptionOliver: A Story about Adoption by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A cute story about how children, no matter what type of family unit they come from, fantasize about the life they would live if they were brought up in a different family. Oliver is adopted and becomes angry at his father for disciplining him and so he goes into a fantasy world imagining who his birth parents are. The drawings while simple are still beautiful. Overall this was a solid four stars!

Hate You Later (Lit Lovers Series Book 1) by Ciara Blume – Review by Sheri Schrader

Hate You Later (Lit Lovers, #1)Hate You Later by Ciara Blume
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hate You Later is the first book in the Lit Lovers series. The blurb sounded like a fun rom-com, and the story did not disappoint. Of course, there is a happily ever after but I enjoyed the realistic dialogue between the main characters. This is a fun, enjoyable getaway read that had me laughing at the story. I also enjoyed the cats and dogs. What better way to get to know someone than through the cats and dogs in their lives?
Georgia is a relatable character to me having difficulty asking others for help. Hudson was a good counter to Georgia. I enjoyed the back and forth between the two of them.
I look forward to reading more in this series soon.

I was really impressed with this authors ability introduce scientific concepts, tackle important topics like reusing and recycling, imaginary friends, and have wonderful, engaging illustrations and still manage to keep children entertained. While I feel this series of books is geared more toward girls, my boys still enjoyed it. As a homeschool mom I really appreciate books like this. It offers a lot of extra curricula, ideas for many activities, and lots of opportunities for learning. This is just one of many great books on offer from this author. It’s great for all ages.

The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass (Mermaid Science) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Micalah Weatherholtz

The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass (Mermaid Science, #3)The Mermaid and the Water Magnifying Glass by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The concept of this series of books is based around science and I think it’s wonderful how the author incorporated a fun story that teaches so many things in a fun and exciting way. The book introduces children to scientific concepts at an early age but in a fun, interesting, easy to understand way. In The Mermaid and The Water Magnifying Glass we are even introduced to a young girls imaginary friend and that shows children that it is okay if they have one as well. Her friend thinks it’s unfair that she can’t see her but accepts Maia and Trezzie no matter what. We are also introduced to another other important topics like trash being thrown into the ocean, littering, and how we can reuse and recycle which I feel is incredibly important to learn at a young age. This book was adorable, informative, and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants this type of book.

Boss’s Vendetta (Sicilian Gods Book 1) by Via Mari – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

Boss's Vendetta: Dark Mafia Romance (Sicilian Gods Book 1)Boss’s Vendetta: Dark Mafia Romance by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Boss’s Vendetta is a dark, mafia, romance. Dr. Adrianna Palento sought out a job with the Larussio mob family, in Las Vegas. She secretly is looking for her father’s killer and believes it was someone in the Larussio family, even though she has never known her father. What she didn’t expect was Salvatore Larussio. Salvatore is the next in line to become don of the family and is also instantly taken by the new doctor. However, in the family, not just anyone is allowed to infiltrate their walls, so Salvatore trys to ignore the feeling. Whether or not Adrianna “hates” Salvatore and what he stands for, she refuses to let any one person suffer when hurt. The family is attacked during a wedding and many had to go into hiding, including the doctor. While “trapped” underground, Salvatore and Adrianna have a little bit of time to explore this attraction. However, what will happen when he finds out Adrianna’s secrets? Can he find a way to keep her safe from his own family?
Mafia romance is one of my favorite genres. I thought this particular mafia romance was a little different then the ones that I have recently read. I guess I feel that way because it seems more realistic then most. I enjoyed the mystery of the characters and the development of the romance between Salvatore and Adrianna. As characters go, Salvatore was your typical dark, semi-souless mafia boss. But I did enjoy that he was honest with her throughout the book about his darkness and what would happen to her if certain things took place. Adrianna, she was an amazing character. I thought she was realistic, smart, cunning, honest, and I really loved how she never showed fear to Salvatore. She always stood her ground even in the face of evil which made me love her even more. Adrianna was also brave as hell ever step of the way and in every decision she made!

While being a quick read it continues to follow the life of Emma who while preparing for Christmas finds herself embroiled in another mystery. You can read this as a stand alone but while you will get a great storyline and fun characters you are missing out on what really makes all those characters tick. Throughout the series we learn so much about each one’s backstory and you always get a great storyline and another adventurous mystery that must be solved! I definitely recommend reading this story and all Emma’s stories!!
