Santa’s Little Helper is the first book I’ve read by Shaan Ranae. The cover image drew me in and I wanted to read it before I even know what it was about. It was a quick but cute romantic comedy that was entertaining and I read it in one sitting. Jake is the big wig, owner/boss of a department store his dad started. He is taking over and trying to make his dad proud and be a success, but he needs a Santa, and fast. He decides to fill in for the first shift, and cant take his eyes off the sexy elf. She almost makes it worth it for him to deal with bratty kids for a day. This is the start of a funny but cute relationship between Jake and the fiery redhead elf. Highly recommend the book. 5 star review.

It novel is short but hot, Jake, who is second generation of his family’s department store, finds himself in the unusual predicament of having to fill in for Santa one afternoon. He isn’t exactly what you call kid friendly. However, with a little help from Santa’s little helper, both Jake is able to pull off the perfect santa, but isn’t the last of his worries. I don’t want to give away too much, as this book is less than 100 pages, but it has all the markings of a great Hallmark movie and will give you some series warm and fuzzies, plus, and in some hot steamy romance scenes and you have the perfect holiday read!

He doesn’t have time for a real relationship until he meets Santa’s elf at the store. She makes him feel things he’s never felt. This was such a lovely Christmas read, the season may be over but I always love reading Christmas stories so I was more than happy to dive straight in. I have read a few books by this author now so I know I’m going to be entertained and as I expected I wasn’t disappointed. Ms Ranae has an amazing talent for pulling you into her stories quickly and although this was a quick read I was still fully immersed in what I was reading. I really liked the characters and the chemistry between Jake and his little helper was pretty hot! Because the story was so short there was little time for the author to fully develop the characters but this is to be expected from a novella sometimes, it didn’t really take much away for me as the reader and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

A Christmas Romance just right for the a quick read. Not for those under 18 due to adult theme.

This was the perfect story for filling in some quiet time. Shaan Ranae has written this quick page turning story. I loved her characters, as well as their personality. Reading how Jake was afraid of children cracked me up. Reading his thoughts was hot and steamy. But his loyalty to family and friends was refreshing. Pulling this story together. All the feels were there, the story was complete. What more could a reader ask for? I will be looking for more from Shaan Ranae.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a short holiday read. The story is a fun, steamy romantic read. I don’t want to say too much because I will give the story away. The characters are good and I like that there is a focus on the importance of family as well as romance. This was a cute holiday read that put me in the Christmas spirit. Jake is sexy and handsome in the description. I like that he grabs the emergency and fills in as Santa. I look forward to more reads from this author in the future.

Santa’s Little Helper written by Shaan Ranae. I liked this story and I loved the chemistry between Jake and Sam especially when she’s telling him off. I loved the store’s story and how Jake was trying to give his parents what he thinks they deserve. This story is about understanding what you have and how to appreciate it before it changes or you lose it for good. The one thing I didn’t like was how quickly Sam’s opinion changed of Jake, it made me not like her a little bit.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has an new fan. I love a good short Christmas story and this author did just that. You can’t help but to fall in love with these characters. I was into this story so much I finished it in only one sitting.

Jake is trying to get the biggest deal of his life. His wants to make his dad proud. Jake is working and all of sudden his secretary comes in and tells him they have a problem. He hired a Santa for his department store for the kids but he didn’t show up for a good reason. Now as the boss he has to put the suit on and he can’t stand kids. When Jake meets Santa’s helper that is all he can think about. Will Jake get the deal of his life or does fate have something else planned for him?

I absolutely loved this book. The story line has it all hot romance, humor, and love. These characters will keep you hooked on this book until the very end. Jake is an alpha male that wants it all. He wants to make his dad proud. Santa’s helper is a beautiful woman. She has her own story I wish I knew more of. This is a perfect story to get you into the holiday spirit. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.

This story was cute and a little naughty. Jake is a jerk but a truthful jerk. He isn’t out here leading women on. He is just real and maybe too honest. His dislike for germ infested little people is accurate and understandable. Lol! I thought Sam was a little unbelievable as a character. No one does what she did and confidently might I add. Over all the book had me laughing and it turned out to be really sweet. Jake learned a lot and it brought him closer to his family. The story was perfectly balanced with laughter, love, naughty moments and family. You felt the lightness with which the author wanted the story portrayed.

I truly enjoyed the witty dialogue and the plot was intriguing it held my attention from beginning to end. There were some very steamy love scenes and a happy ending. Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae was a quick, cute read for me.

When a department store Santa ends up dying, Jake must take matters Into his own hands. Jake is the worst choice for a Santa because he really doesn’t like children. He does however become quite fond of one of Santa’s helpers.
Sam yells at the fake
Santa not realizing he is her boss. When she finds out, she expects to be fired but Jake can’t seem to do that. He has other visions of her. Instead he gets her to help him find the perfect Santa for his store. All of this is happening while Jake is planning to expand with the help of Marcum & Heath.

What will happen to the future of Laurel Department Store? What will happen to Jake and Sam? Will she make it home to see nana and will her feelings change towards Jake during the holiday season. I thought this book was well written and a sweet read.

This was a super fast fun read that I totally enjoyed. It was different than I was expecting and I’m completely happy with that.

This had a bit of a different storyline that made it even more enjoyable and for me anything Christmas is a winner. It moved along at a super quick pace that really didn’t seem that way. The writing was flawless and the characters were fun. I do wish there had been more time for some character building, but in saying that I still loved them. I also loved that there was just enough time in this short read for the business deal part of the story.

I loved Jake and he made me laugh with his inner dialogue about children and Gladdie was completely awesome. LOL

Awesome book and I can’t wait to look into what else this author has available.

Loved It!

This is a super quick read about a department store Santa. There’s a lot more to it, but that’s the premise.

It’s a story with a message and a moral. It’s also a story that has some sexy times and friendships. Oh, and there is a kid who licks like a puppy.

This is a story that you could literally read on the bus while heading to work or on a quick break between sales calls.

Santa’s Little Helper, by Shaan Ranae, is a holiday romance novella. This story brings forth the true meaning of Christmas and helping others in its limited pages. This was easy to read, fun and cute, with a little bit of naughty going on at the same time. Shaan Ranae did a great job of adding some fine tuned details to give the story some meat and substance. Jake comes across as a strong, domineering male with a spicy and feisty “helper” included. A quick holiday read not to pass up!

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a short read but is a fun and quirky little Christmas romance and one I fell in love with. It is told in the male perspective and it had me laughing out loud from start to finish. I would have loved it if the story was longer but it was so much more due to the simplicity of the telling. One sassy red haired helper and one man who learns the true value of family values, all come together to bring you a quick story that will melt your heart.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a very short, novella sized, holiday romance.
I don’t want to spoil the story by giving away too much- because the story is so short it would be easy to give away too much. Jacob Laurel (Jake) has taken up the reigns of the family department store from his father upon his retirement. He hopes to make the business the ‘powerhouse’ that it could become.
With Christmas fast approaching, their store is amongst the many that have an ‘in-house’ Santa for families and children to visit in the lead up to Christmas. With people due to arrive to see Santa, there is a bit of an ‘emergency’ when their ‘Santa’ is unable to do the job. They need a replacement , and quickly. But on such short notice that’s impossible. So, it falls on Jake to put on the suit and play Santa. What happens when he meets Santa’s Little Helper? Sparks fly and the fun begins!
This is a sweet, spicy, funny, and enjoyable light-hearted story. I would have preferred a longer version, so the story had time to develop a bit more depth.
I look forward to exploring some of Ms. Ranae’s other work, as this is my first read from her, to see what else she can do.

Thank you, Ms. Ranae!

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae was a cute, lighthearted, steamy read, that’s like a late-night version of normal hallmark movies.

My first read from this author, I was pulled in by the sassy cover and the raving reviews. This quick Christmas read manages to capture what I love about those cheesy holiday movies, while adding a little bit of a sinister sub plot, a grinch like male MC, a not so sweet love interest and, a sappy feels kicking side plot. It has a magical pull, so much so that you can’t help but get sucked into this taste of Christmas cheer. Not to mention the added bonus of… smut, making this story geared towards a late night read, rather then your watered down hallmark versions that grace our screens.

To save from spoilers because the book is less than 60 pages I’m going to leave you with my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

This is the cutest story! Full of Christmas fun and cheer! There were so many things that made me laugh and smile. The story flowed very nicely and easily kept me entertained. The characters are fun and sexy. Jake made me laugh with his antics and his terror of children…err I mean the little germ carriers. His thoughts on children are they are cute…..from far away. Sam is a is a fiery redhead who also is Santa’s little helper. When problems arise with the stores Santa it’s up to Sam and Jake to get everything running smoothly.

This is a first time author for me and I wouldn’t hesitate to read another. Her characters were colorful and endearing. The story was heartfelt and fun. It’s short but worth it for a little Christmas fun.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a holiday short story that I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how it includes characters that have a love of family. It also has a steamy side to it as Jake takes notice of “Santa’s Little Helper.” There are plenty of laughable moments in this story and others that are heartwarming. I loved reading about the character of Jake. He is a man that has a business to run and a deal to close. When there is an emergency Santa issue he tries to get someone to put on the red suit. He soon finds himself unable to take his eyes off a certain “helper.” What does the Christmas season have in store for Jake? Read this book to find out. There are a few additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. I found myself wanting to know a little more about them and about Jake. The spirit of the season and some steamy romance makes this a book I would recommend reading.

Kathryn James has always wanted the fairytale love and happiness that her Granny and Papaw had. But with the life she has she knew that fantasy doesn’t exist, love does not exist. The life Kathryn has is one of pain and abuse, from the one who should love her. Kathryn finally finds the courage, with the help of her best friend Sylvie, to start a new life a life without fear and pain. As she begins her journey she meets different people along the way but one will change her life and her fairytale.

Jasper Carter is a man in search of his dreams. His dream of being a Jazz musician and is on his way to Vegas to fulfill that dream. Along his journey he finds something that will change his life forever and confront a painful part of his past. Something he wants to leave just there, in the past.

Will Kathryn be able to learn to survive and be able to Just Live? Will she be able to overcome her fears? Will she be to find the fantasy and the true love she has always dreamed about? Will she be able to find a family and home to call her own?

Will Jasper find the dream of becoming a Jazz musician and someone to share it with or will it be all taken away from him?

This is an extremely emotional, painful and abusive yet beautiful story of rediscovery and learning to love again not only themselves but others to. The character Kathryn brought out my emotional side. I can guarantee you will want to read this in one sitting.

Just Live by Shaan Ranae is my first encounter with this writer and I have to admit, it left me in ruins … in emotional ruins. I finished the book couple of days ago and when I woke up this morning, it was still on my mind, it refuses to let me go … I have read already couple of other books since I finished it but my thoughts circle back to it …
It is an extremely emotional story of Kathryn James aka Katey, a journey filled with pain and suffering, a story that takes you to such extremes that you wonder if you will survive … I cried so hard that I started hiccupping … I got enraged and started thinking how could I, personally, get involved and make a difference … I laughed and smiled and dreamed with her and I have been looking for dust particles in the sunlight ever since …
This story reminds us that we all have a responsibility to each other as humans, it also reminds us that we need to look after ourselves as well, we all matter. This story took me back into my history and reminded me of all those great people who have been there for me in the pivotal moments of my life, who are the reason I am still here, today.
Thank you Ms Ranae for this raw and beautiful book, I hope that it is not your personal story, if it is, I rejoice in the bright future you have ahead of you. I will be on a lookout for your next book, I am sure it will be another amazing one.
