The Sisterhood of Secrets (The Gods’ Scion Book 4) by Winnifred Tataw is a great young adult fantasy.

In the story, Arcelia, her damaged family, and Prince Rodrick travel through the deserts and the Siesa Arid underground metropolis. Since she learned that her mother might be a murderer, everything has been odd, and she has been haunted by rumors of falsehoods and unfulfilled promises. She is hoping that a trip to Siesa Arid, the country of her twin cousins, will lead to the kind of family reunification she has been waiting for. Threats from a criminal organization disturb Arcelia and Rodrick, who are also troubled by moral dilemmas about right and wrong. The Archangel and God of Life assisted in all of this while keeping a close eye on it.

Tempting Fate (Black Shamrocks MC: Australia Book 1) by Bella Faust is a great suspense romance book.

This is the third year of Lily and Zeke’s story. Alex continues to remain fixated on Lily, despises Zeke, and makes every effort to separate the two of them. This is extremely dark, precisely what I would anticipate from the author, especially when you add treachery, general MC brutality, and tons of triggers. Zeke does his hardest to protect Lily.

Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into the dark romance world. I couldn’t put the book down.

Earl of Griffith (Once Upon a Widow Book 6)Earl of Griffith by Aubrey Wynne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Earl of Griffith (Once Upon a Widow) by Aubrey Wynne is a great historical romance.

You will pay close attention to every word Maeve says. After Roarik O’Neill was killed in the midst of Ireland’s political instability, she is leaving Dublin with her mother Helen. Despite the opposition of her family, Helen, an earl’s daughter, married Roarik after being swept away by passion and adventure. She and Roarik didn’t live in a mansion like a lady would; they made due with a small flat and her scant supplies. Helen was upset by her living situation as well as the fact that her husband loved Ireland more than she did. As a result of her late husband’s political engagement, Helen, now a widow, is leaving Ireland. She does this to protect herself and her daughter from any harm.I found it to be a sweet and moving romance with appealing characters and a heartwarming plot. I adored the overwhelming allure of the Earl of Griffith, widow Lady Helen, and her gorgeous daughter Maeve, as well as their touching tale.

Secrets of the Sorcery War (Ruarnon Trilogy Book 2) by Elise Carlson – Review by Shadel Ayerbe

Secrets of the Sorcery War (Ruarnon Trilogy #2)Secrets of the Sorcery War by Elise Carlson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secrets of the Sorcery War: An Epic YA Fantasy by Elise Carlson is a great LGBTQ Fanatasy story

Reading Ruarnon is a pleasure. They are complex characters who the reader can’t help but enjoy getting to know. Ruarnon feels pressure to uphold their parents’ standards while still developing their own identity as the successor to the Tarlahn throne. Although they are young, they are intelligent beyond their years and lack any obnoxiousness. Characters in Secrets of the Sorcery War have a lot of depth. The book’s Australian characters are very beautifully written. The other protagonist of the story is Linh, who, like Ruarnon, is intelligent beyond her years without being annoying and has excellent interactions with people from both realms. The language flows smoothly and never seems out of place. Australian adolescents sound natural and realistic.

Despite being a YA novel, it doesn’t hesitate to approach its subjects through an adult lens. This allows it to explore its topics while telling an in-depth story, even though it is lengthier than typical for its target group.

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even more one-of-a-kind characters. The story really transports you into their world. I couldn’t put the book down.

Manipulator’s War (Ruarnon Trilogy Book 1) by Elise Carlson – Review by Shadel Ayerbe

Manipulator's War (Ruarnon Trilogy, #1)Manipulator’s War by Elise Carlson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Manipulator’s War (Ruarnon Trilogy) by Elise Carlson is a great young adult fantasy book.

The author skillfully incorporates a modern perspective with the addition of 4 children from today’s culture while skillfully balancing the several adolescent characters and their reactions to the battles, deaths of friends and foes alike, and the portal addition. The fantasy worldbuilding is good despite the necessity for speech to frequently carry a lot of exposition to keep readers informed of the rivalries and conflicts in this convoluted world. There are many characters to follow! The treatment of the “midlun” sex, Ruarnon, a non-binary protagonist who battles uncertainties and anxiety while rising to the trials of the manipulator’s war to become the leader the people need to defeat conquistador armies and wicked chaos produced creatures, was what I found to be most enjoyable.

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even more one-of-a-kind characters. The story really transports you into their world. I couldn’t put the book down. Ran right for book 2.

The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella (Soulbound Journeys Book 1) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Shadel Ayerbe

The Wandering Isles (The Crown of Stones)The Wandering Isles by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella (Soulbound Journeys Book 1) by C. L. Schneider a short dark fantasy.

All the pleasant feelings associated with discovering and reading the first book years ago came flooding back to mind as I read about Ian and Jarryd again.

Ian and Jarryd set out towards an unknown island at the start of the novel, where they encountered unusual onlookers and supernatural beings who offered them a “trade”. I was left wondering what their business was, who they were, and captivated by their race because the whole trading thing is a little sketchy and the details are vague. I savored every instant of their interactions with Ian, pausing briefly in wonder.

As a side aside, this could probably be read alone. The author did an excellent job of bringing to mind who these historical figures were and why they were significant. Overall, a really entertaining book.

Foxy Tails by Natalina Reis is a story full of love and adventure that makes it that more interesting.

A really original fantasy romance, Foxy Tails combined elements of fairy tales with a quest involving magic, shifters, and a regal realm. I adored how unique this narrative and its surroundings were. In order to keep the reader interested in the characters’ adventures, the author makes several references to the culture and mythologies of ancient China. These references are both educational and fascinating.Huli and Xiao Ying, in my opinion, constituted a good pairing that was well-balanced. The Crown of Stones: Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones Book 3) by C.L. Schneider – Review by Shadel Ayerbe

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Crown of Stones: Magic-borne by C.L Schneider is a book about The thrilling conclusion reveals Ian Troy’s destiny as well as the universe of Mirra’kelan.

The resistance was crushed all at once. There were deaths. Hope had vanished. Peace seeped through his fingers like sand grains. The Crown of Stones did likewise. Now that he has been driven into hiding, Ian Troy searches for a method to save the realm and its inhabitants from the cruel rule of Mirra’kelan’s new self-proclaimed ruler. He struggles to change things and protect the people he loves about because he is plagued by the knowledge of a horrible future. But fate has other ideas, and his power has betrayed him.

Each cast moves Ian one step closer to turning more into a beast than a man because he is marked by the crown and constrained by the transformation spell it contains. Every action draws the unfathomably close to death and destruction predicted in his vision. With Langor on the verge of war and King Malaq’s peace proposal in jeopardy, Ian travels back in time in search of a cure for the eldring spell and a way to stop the emperor’s expanding dominance. What he discovers there starts a series of revelations that take Ian in directions he never would have imagined.

Ian, who is given responsibility for his race’s destiny, emerges as the key to long-lasting reform. Just how much weight can a single man bear? And how much of himself is he prepared to give up for peace?

Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a unique dark fantasy trilogy. The story really brings passion into your life. I couldn’t put the book down. I have binge read the series at this point and I absolutely love it.
