Madeline Fay just got herself a new fan!!!
Spiteful Punks is the best book I’ve read in the last two years….. what does that mean…. well out of the 86 books I’ve read since January 2020 this is my favorite.
It’s DARK!!! GUT WRENCHING!!! NAIL BITING!!! TWISTED!!!! AND OOOOO SO SEXY!!!
I’m a huge fan of Dark Romance (The darker the better) and I just can’t put into words how much I loved this book.
The characters are expertly crafted especially Tillie, her multi layered character is absolutely perfect. She’s vulnerable but still strong with some sassy comebacks but most of all she’s a SURVIVOR!!!
I can’t wait to read the next book.
But be warned this book does have some heavy triggers!!!

This book went full throttle! I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I do not recollect ever encountering a dark romance novel before, but I am so glad that this was the book that introduced me to it, especially with the reality of said darkness. Whether it’s the crazy, the evil, or anything else, nothing is sugarcoated. I cannot wait to keep rooting for Tillie in the next book!

I don’t know whether to love it or hate it. It was such a good read. Tillie such an amazing female lead. The pain and trauma just unimaginable. The strength that it takes you push yourself to survive when everything is bringing you down. I was amazing how she kept trying and pushing herself to be better. The guys were the part that made me want to hate it. I don’t normally do harem stories so for there to be so many guys I cringed. Thought this story is well written the cringe wasn’t bad. It will definitely take some getting used to because it’s not my thing. But the author delivers such an amazing story. That I am willing to get over it and keep reading.

Spiteful Punks is a dark and intense read that may be a trigger for some but if you can push through it really is a great book. I was drawn in from the beginning and kept me turning the pages till the end. There was a couple of times I wanted to jump in and help Tillie but she truly is a strong woman., Badass really. Tillie’s life has pretty much been pure hell since her uncle died and her dad has tortured her for years. She’s been through lots of pain but what happens when she escapes t and tries to start over somewhere else? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Spiteful Punks – Dolls and Douchebags part one by Madeline Fay is not a book for the feint hearted but I cannot wait to read part 2. It left so many questions unanswered. Poor Tillie has not had a great start to life, brought up in the clutches of the MC her father runs, she is forced into acts that she never wants any part of and is repeatedly broken down by those around her. When she finally gets a chance to escape she is brought to the door of 4 men who may be just as dangerous as the one that she left behind. Tillie is a strong character and I really hope that she gets the break she deserves in the next part. I would recommend this book to those who like a dark read, but there are trigger warnings so readers need to be mindful of that.

As soon as I saw this cover, I had to pick up this rh! This one was dark, gritty and a completely new to me author that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on and I didn’t want to put it down once I did. Tillie! My girl is awesome. She is so strong and I loved her. The boys were BAD. But I couldn’t help but lovehate them. I am intrigued and I cannot wait to get my hands on more by this author in the future!
This one was not for the faint of heart, good thing I like the dark!!
Happy Reading!

This is the first story I have read by Madeline Fay, but it will not be my last. Not for the weak of heart due to the mature content. (Rape, sexual assault, torture). This is a quick read that will leave you wanting more. It’s one of those page turners that makes you forget you need to do anything else.

Tillie’s teen years were horrific. When the people who are there to protect you, are the ones causing you harm, what is there to do? Each character has more to them than meets the eye, leaving you emotional and distraught.

Can love shine through the trauma?

Tillie’s life growing up was tolerable until her uncle disappeared and her father took it out on her. When he commits an unforgivable act of betrayal, Tillie knows she has to escape. When she finally escapes she can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel of her horrid past.
However, Tillie soon finds that she may have escaped one prison for another. She finds herself under the watchful eyes of four men that not only scare her…but also make her feel something more. Logan, Trey, Nicholas and Dalton are determined to break their new doll and bend her to their will…but Tillie is not going down without a fight.
This story pulled me in from the first page…and I was hanging on until the last. It ends in a cliffhanger, so I am definitely looking forward to the next book. There are some very dark themes that others may find triggering…so be warned. However, I loved every second of it and can’t wait to see what happens next!

This is the first book I have read from this author and wow what a rush. I love a dark romance but this author blew my expectations out of the water. I must warn you this might trigger a lot of readers and it’s not for light hearted readers. This book gave me chills at times. All the characters drew me in right from the start. I could not put this book down until the very end. I can’t wait to see what the second book will be.

Tillie is living in pure hell. She is just a possession not a real human where she grew up. Tillie can’t take it anymore and when she is told to run to this address she does. She doesn’t know what she is getting into and where she is going but anywhere is better than where she is or is it? Tillie is welcomed into a family that she has no idea who or what they are all about. All she wants is to feel safe and loved but will she ever get there? Will Tillie find peace or is this another place of torture?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Spiteful Punks starts with a bang and keeps on going! Certainly lives up to the label of dark/bully romance. Shorter read that leaves you wanting more. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Trigger warning: rape, suicidal contemplation, sexual assault, drug use, abuse, death, torture, and general demeaning of women.

With the first chapter being so graphic and gut wrenching I wasn’t sure about Spiteful Punks, but I ended up really enjoying the story. Readers see Tillie’s world torn apart but she continues to fight to live her life her way. Fleeing from her bad familial situation and the M.C. life, to someone who’s supposed to be a lifeline, she is again thrust into danger and people who want to rule her, but she knows how to survive and starts to turn the tables.
There is so much dark sexual angst between Tillie and the four young men: Logan, Dalton, Tey, and Nicky. Each of them is so dark in their own way, and each sets off something inside her that yearns for them, allowing for her sexual awakening despite her past. Logan, Dalton, Tey and Nicky each desire Tillie, but is it just insta-lust? Can they actually care for someone outside of their group, with the baggage each of them carries?
Mention of M/M interest, potential for crossing swords in further books.
Ends on a major cliffhanger, but I can’t wait for book 2 to see what Tillie has in store for the boys, and they for her.
Spiteful punks touches many dark romance subtopics including New Adult, Motorcycle Club, Gang, Corrupt Police, and High School Bully.

Spiteful Punks: Dolls and Douchebags part one is a dark and emotional reverse harem novel from Madeline Fay. I had never read any of Madeline Fay’s work before reading this but I was intrigued by the blurb and decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did as I enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I would definitely say that this book is for age 18+ due to some of the more adult content in it. There is also the chance that this book could be a trigger for some.
Tillie has had one hell of an upbringing. She grew up with an MC club where her father was the Prez. A father, who did nothing to protect her, in fact he betrayed her in the most horrible way as soon as she turned 16.
This start to this book really drew me in and had me hooked straight away. I was desperate to know how Tillie would cope with her life. When she manages to escape from the MC club her life takes a turn that you would never expect. Tillie is now drawn into a whole new world and some of it makes for hard reading.
I feel we are just starting to get to know Tillie as a person when this first book in the series comes to and end and I’m eager to read what the author has in store next for Tillie.

When I first started reading this book, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was in for, I’ve not read anything by the author previously and I have to say I really enjoyed what I read. The depth of feeling that was in the book really took me by surprise, I really got into the story and the characters so easily. Tillie was a great main character to read about and her story was heart-breaking in parts. I really felt that depth of emotion coming from her.
I love a dark read and this definitely satisfied that for me. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of the series, if book one is anything to go by, I think I am definitely in for a good read!

This book is only for those over 18 due to its adult nature and possibly triggering themes.

Tillie is seventeen and she has only known darkness in her life, apart from when her Uncle was still alive, he treated her better than anyone else, but the abuse she has suffered at the hands of said “family” is horrific and has caused her every kind of pain imaginable. Her father is the President of an motorcycle club and he is the one which has instigated most of her pain and created the nightmares of her abuse which relives at night, that is until someone who cares about her helps her to escape, so she crashes her bike, hitches a ride to the nearest city and heads to an address where she is told she will be safe. She has to do this in disguise and fabricate a story to go with her actions, but she finally feels free and the day after she turns eighteen and makes it to the address, her life is about to change.

Her arrival is unexpected and unknowingly she causes a bit of upset, but she is told to make herself at home and help herself to anything she needs, she decides the first thing is going to be to get something to eat, but just as she is about to eat it, she hears footsteps in the hallway and fearing the worst, she grabs a kitchen knife and confronts the person, however, the young man she finds isn’t anyone she knows, but he is just as dangerous. Even as he is being threatened by Tillie, he has the same tinge of darkness and madness as she sees in her own eyes and as he brandishes his own knife hidden in his boot, she is confused by the fact that she is aroused by the whole scene and even more confused when a second young man approaches from behind and just increases the sensations in his own way, a light to the other’s darkness. They introduce themselves as Logan and Trey and these confused feelings come to a head when the next morning she realises that the suite she has slept in isn’t as secure as she hoped when Logan enters the shower with her and they end up in a passionate embrace, but as a meeting is called with the household and another young man, her world is about to be turned upside down.

Once the truth of where she has escaped to comes to the fore and she is told that she will be attending the local school and that the young men are told that she is not to be let out of their sight, they must escort her everywhere and that she will be meeting the fourth member of the young men’s group and he will have her schedule ready for her to collect, after this revelation, the names of the mysterious third and fourth young man are revealed as Nicholas and Dalton. Will Tillie be able to figure out her feelings about the four young men and whether she will be accepted into thes new life despite feeling like an outcast? Will she be able to keep her sanity in this new type of cage, or will her darkness break through and destroy her once and for all? This is a thrillingly dark romance which is unpredictable, hard hitting and keeps you guessing until the end.

Let me start by saying: this novel is not for the weak at heart. The first chapters were a bit difficult to get through- I should have paid more attention to the disclaimer that the dark themes may be sensitive for some readers- did this take away my overall reading experience? Absolutely Not!

The cards that Tillie was dealt made her character more relatable and had me likening her to the phoenix bird, who will be reborn from the ashes and signifies a journey through fire or adversity. I am waiting with bated breath to see Tillie finally soar. I am rooting for her transformation that I know is coming “I’ll show them all that they are messing with the wrong spiteful girl…”. Tillie, I am right there with you.

I have developed a love-hate relationship with the antagonists. I appreciated that the characters were individually described and then collectively depicting their contribution to the ‘team’. This is not the average run-of-the-mill novel, but a page-turner intricately and creatively written. Predictable- it is not.

My burning question is: Madeline- where is part 2?

Spiteful Punks: dolls and douchebags part one by Madeline Fay. This book is so good and not like anything you have read. It does come with some trigger warnings but it is soooo good. Its the story of Tillie and all the crappy men she has had to deal with one being her very own dad. She is only 18 and has dealt with a ton of crap in her short life. Tillie is no victim though, she has learned to deal with crap way better than a lot of adults! When she meets Logan, Trey & Nicholas she knows the tricks they are up to but she is intrigued all the same. She’s on the run for her life with nothing but her name and so she knows not to trust anyone but these 3 seem a little different. She really wants to be able to trust someone and she thinks these guys might just be good “bad” boys! This book will make you cry and keep you turning pages way into the night!

Spiteful Punks is Part One of the Dolls and Douchebags series by Madeline Fay. This is a new author for me and she had me at the blurb. This book is everything that the title and the blurb describes. Plus more. It is dark. It is dangerous. It is thought provoking. It is shocking. It is quite literally unlike anything I have read in ages. The storyline was very descriptive, and the characters were tormented and there were some confronting issues present. Spiteful Punks was a very emotional and dark twisted tale. Just the way I like my stories. 4 stars.

When you are in a living hell, is there no escape. Until one day you find a miracle but will Tillie be able to take the chance and leave or will she be thrown back into hell.

Tillie has lived through hell, being brought up within an MC were women are lower than low and used as play things. Tillie has a dream to escape hell and try and forget about her life with the MC and one day she has an opportunity to do just that, all she has is a name and the world but is it that simple.

When she leaves she doesn’t realise that she has walked out of one hell into another and has to try and circum navigate this new world to survive all over again. Family secrets are revealed and Tillis is drawn between two worlds.

This story is not your fluff romance story by any means and at times it is hard to read but the author provided just enough honesty and integrity to draw you into the story. I loved the character of Tillie although she had so much tragedy and heartache this only made her into strong character she was in this book.

The twists and turns in this book were brilliant and although it was a difficult to read at times this enhanced the emotions within this story. This is the first book I have read by this author and can’t wait for Part Two.

Wow….where to start with this review. I was pulled in right from the beginning. I will warn that there are scenes that may cause triggers for some. My heart went out to Tillie. The first scene we come into is heartbreaking, what Tillie is put through is so devastating, especially when some involved are people who should be protecting you. When she turns 18 she flees the MC to try and get away and start over. She is given an address to go to for help.

This is where her second nightmare starts. She gets some shocking news on top of running into a similar situation she had just left. But she is feeling things slightly different than she did with the MC. Will she be able to get away and finally find a safe place? Or will the boys pull her into their world?

Overall this was a great dark reverse harem read with so many twists and turns that your head will be spinning. I felt like we actually got two different stories in one. We also have several hot dominating men that will have your head spinning. You want to hate them but yet you can feel the attraction between them and there is a heck of a cliff hanger that will leave you wanting more now. This is my first read from this author and I loved her writing. It’s hard to find a really good dark book and this one had everything I love about them. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This book is going on my must read 2021 list. 1-click and get started today.

Spiteful Punks: dolls and douchebags part one by Madeline Fay

Trigger Warning for this book. This is the first book I’ve read by Fay, but it won’t be my last. Fay has a dark romantic mindset and it shows.

Tillie is escaping one horrible life for another. When she runs from the Demon Jokers she is given an address. What she doesn’t know is the address is her mother’s. The quote I chose for Tillie is: “Give me more, I can take it. I want it.”

Logan is Mob Boss’s son and gets what he wants. His friends are equally as dangerous. When he meets Tillie his life is going to be turned upside down. The quote I chose for Logan is: “I wouldn’t get too comfortable, baby girl, people around here end up disappearing without a trace. I’ll be watching and I will find out why you’re really here.”

Highly recommended for Dark Romance lovers.

I think It is important to note right from the start that this book could potentially contain triggers for some people so caution before reading is advised. The author has done a great job of creating a dark and twisted world in which the main character has been through so much. This has created a depth to the character that adds another level to the story as a whole. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat for most of this book and I really enjoyed that I was. This book was a very dark read. It handles some subjects that maybe triggers for some people. The author does a good job of writing so that you actually feel like you are experiencing everything with the character. Tillie is a strong character and I love how she grows in strength throughout the book.

Tillie is a young woman who grew up surrounded by bikers. One fateful night her world is turned upside down when everyone she knows turns out to be evil as the devil including her own father.

Finally leaving the abusive situation she winds up with just and name and and a address which leads her to 4 other males. All of them are intrigued by her but also dispise her. And like wise she has a different connection to each of them.

Is Tillie really any safer with these men? Or is she destined to suffer a different cycle of torture?

Spiteful Punks: Dolls and douchebags part one by Madeline Fay is a dark reverse harem bully romance with plenty of triggers in this taboo tale. The story depicts bullying, abuse, and torment- so if these topics cause you distress, then this is not the book for you.
I love a dark and twisted story, but unfortunately this did fall a little short for me. There is a lot of potential here for greatness, but it just missed the mark. There is however, an angsty and emotive story here- I just wish I loved it more than I do.
It has piqued my interest, so I will keep an eye out for the next book to see what the author has in store there.
